Imagine a swap p3 au where the MC joins Strega, who fight the dark hour not to stop it but to learn more about themselves, and S.E.E.S is opposing them because Mitsuru, their leader, is going against her father's wishes. At first its just Akihiko and Shinjiro, but she rescues more Persona users before the Kirijo group can get their hands on them as time passes. However, some do not trust her (Yukari, for example), and leave to join Strega.

Its just Strega as the good guys and SEES as the bad guys but like- Idk man, I'm having a fucking big brain moment-

constantly thinking about weird fucked up persona aus but mostly on the brain rn is p3/4 stuff. like for one a swap with the IT and SEES (like location and premise and all that) would be crazy but for reasons that I'll elaborate on in the tags it's not perfect. but what IS crazy to me and had been rotating in my brain is. the concept of SEES having shadows.

for a while I've been thinking of an au where the answer features their shadows. granted I haven't played/watched the answer but the concept is certainly really insane because the characters do have enough issues for it to be crazy. even by that time. there'd be general overarching themes of grief and loss between them all but also individual things (that some of them do mostly get over but still. this would be insane mid-game too) -- junpei's jealousy, akihiko's need to not lose anyone ever again, mitsuru's guilt and feeling like she has to make up for the kirijo group's shortcomings, etc. would be a hell of a time and I'd love to write this concept if I can thinknof things. talk to me abt ur thoughts on p3 characters having p4 esque shadows im thinking

Yeah this was years ago so I don't remeber everything I decided on but it was like:

Minato - Ren

Yukari - Futaba

Akihiko - Ann

Shinjiro - Shiho

Koromaru - Morgana

Mitsuru - Makoto

Fuuka - Haru

Junpei - Ryuji

Ken - Goro

Aigis - Yusuke (I remember I had a justification for this more than just "they were the only two left" and I know it had something to do with swapping Madarame and Ikutski and maybe them both trying to understand humanity on a deeper level but honestly I couldn't remember it?)

The main logic for Mitsuru/Makoto vs Mitsuru/Haru is that Mitsuru kinda got along with her dad and looked up to him like Makoto from what I remember whereas Fuuka's home life falls under "not expanded upon but she agreed to move into the dorms a little too quickly". Also Haru and Fuuka are both soft pastel girls so I had more ideas

It wasn't as thought out as it could have been this was like pre Royal

Hey, any other Neo AUs you've drawn or been meaning to draw but fleshed out in your head? Like you have vampy Neo, and Hazbin Neo now, and the P3 Reload Neo you drew. Any other neato Neo'd you got cooking?

I don't even think I would count with P3 Neo because it was just one drawing, like, I would say I didn't flesh that out at all in my head aside of getting some basic questions about her arcana choice, it was more of a 'I like the style! I'll try to draw a Neo in it' for the small challenge than anything xD

Nevertheless, I may as well make a list of the Neos I've drawn in the style of other series, that were done for fun, rather than to flesh an AU

When it comes to the fleshed out AUs inside my head we have:

THE VAMPIRE AU

It was the first, I know a lot of people know of its existence, but I had to mention it anyway because I'll forever be fond of it. Like, vampires are one of my main hyperfixations, so I almost always gotta have a vampire AU if the character in question isn't one already.

Even if the main timeline is up to happen in a modern setting, I've actually written some of Neo's past in RP format to develop her life with her parents, when she was still a recently sired vampire and stuff.

CYBERPUNK 2077 AU

I think the doodles speak very well by themselves, but the main idea with this was that Neo was an ex-Corpo that used to work for Salem (Grimm Corp.), which treated to experiment on Cyberpsychos in order to turn them into mechanical aberrations (like the Hound, but more Cyberpunk).

I was partially inspired by the run I played in my own Cyberpunk 2077 game lol

Nevermore AU

My bestie and I watched the Wednesday show and ended brainstorming an AU for the academy that the protag stays at. I actually wrote a bit of Neo in the setting as well with my bestie, for the fun of it.

POKEMON AU

I actually learnt a few things while doing this one and brainstorming ideas, because I had no idea they use Ditto in the mangas to shapeshift people, as in, Ditto can cover a person and use the shifting powers so the person has a disguise like, WHAT?

Anyway, a Pokemon AU of my Neo. Mimikyu was her starter as a kid when still known as Trivia. The Espeon actually helps with transmitting Neo's thoughts if she needs to communicate real bad, Ditto is for her own shapeshifting...

She also has a Vanilluxe and a Zoroark (her biggest ace in the sleeve) for proper battle and help with her crimes due to illusions. Vanillite and Ditto are the ones swapped for them in that case.

ROCK AU

THE FUCKING ROCK AU HAS ONE OF MY FAVE NEO DESIGNS! Like I love her, I loved designing this one. It was fun. I should draw her more, honestly.

In this one, Neo ACTUALLY had a voice at first, she was actually a vocalist and keyboard player before an accident that left her vocal cords fucked up- had to go through an operation, but she never recovered her voice.

She's a musician that actually uses old records of her voice to develop a system that will replicate her voice for new songs, think like, Vocaloid, sort of.

She eventually meets Cinder and joins her band as a guitarist to honor Roman.

...eventually also falls out with her and ends with Ruby's band, initially to spite Cinder for kicking her out.

MAFIA AU

Bruh, I even went ahead and designed all the members of the Ever After Mafia in this one. Neo wasn't initially part of them and had her own thing -Roman's Mafia- which she inherited after Roman died.

Cinder is like a double agent in this one and eventually betrays Neo and leaves her to die (following Salem's orders), but Neo survives and ends in the Ever After, desperate to have revenge against Salem's Mafia for what they did.

The Curious Cat is the big boss initially, but he was a motherfucking manipulator that took advantage of the other members when they were in their lowest, even Neo.

So Neo eventually has enough and kills him, becoming the boss instead, even if she honestly hates the responsibility. It's when Neo becomes the Mad Hatter for the group.

EXORCIST AU

The recent one- I'm sure people don't need that much info of this one because it's pretty recent.

It's August 15th, time to post Kagepro!

Well... and a bit of P3.

So this was actually meant to be linked to an AU fanfic thing but I forgot about AO3's waitlist so I don't have my account today. I might post the prologue later here as a sneak peek (it was only gonna be that and chapter 1 anyway. This is shaping up to be a long long boi). It's the P3 cast if they were in a world with snakes and eye powers like KagePro and... it's A Lot. UPDATE: I HAVE MY AO3 ACCOUNT IT'S HERE!!

Swapping their poses really surprises me, as most of them still seem in-character. (Aigis and Ene having the same pose will never not be funny to me.)

It turns out that if you have coloured outlines on your models adding a simple blackoutshader makes them look so cool it's great.

I’m gonna try to not go too crazy explaining the AU, so here’s my attempt at a “condensed” outline of the AU!

So the story of Persona 3 happens normally.. up until Ryoji’s revelation. After Ryoji explains the Fall to SEES and presents them with the option to kill him, Minato is insistent that there has to be another way. Eventually he settles on the idea of removing Ryoji’s status as the harbinger of the Fall, and to do so, make Ryoji human.. the problem is, in this act, Ryoji’s powers would transfer to Minato. Hence the swap part of the AU :)

At first everyone is really hesitant about this, especially Ryoji; he’d much rather put himself at risk than Minato. But he persists and eventually the team agrees to trust him. Ryoji and Minato relentlessly plan to ensure that things go as well as they can. On New Year’s, Ryoji initiates a sort of sharing of powers between the two; since the two exist within each other, I’m really leaning into their out of body connection for this.. if that makes any sense. When the swap happens, Minato disappears, and Ryoji blacks out.

When Ryoji recovers, SEES seeks out Minato in the Dark Hour. Ryoji is distressed that he can no longer sense Minato’s presence and begins to worry that things went terribly wrong. Ryoji is still weak and it’s soon apparent that he’s unable to summon a persona… and being in such danger, as well as being separated from Minato and dealing with a potential massive failure to protect someone so dear to him, he begins an existential crisis. This conflict eventually leads to Ryoji’s awakening, accepting his mortality and strengthening his resolve to fulfill his end of the plan and have faith in Minato… and when Ryoji awakens to his persona, he feels a familiar, comforting presence :)

So tldr, Minato becomes Ryoji’s persona, and the team work to beat Nyx after taking away her little pawn. I have waaaayyy more I could write about the rest of the AU and I even have epilogue stuff planned but I’ve already rambled enough and I mostly just wanted to put these designs out here since I’m super proud of them lol
