what projects would you like to see from either dan or phil?

i would love to see phil do something of his own, maybe like... an animated short film? his imagination is such a colourful exciting place, i feel like you could take 80% of anything he says and turn it into material for some kind of story. CREATIVE PHIL PROJECT 2024/5 PLEASE!!

as for dan, i haven't seen wad yet (waiting for this sunday yippee!!), but from what i have seen, and from the way i've heard him talk about it (as well as the other tours he's done), he seems to be so in his element onstage so i just really want him to go all into comedy!! get him a special on netflix! something!

i got my paycheck & immediately splurged on some second hand dvds

check out those beauties. some of those dvds i’ve been wanting to buy for some time and now i finally found them!!!

we’ve got “crash” (1996) which has slowly but surely turned into one of my favorite films, “willy’s wonderland” (2021) and “saw 4” (2007). saw is a region 1 dvd (which was why it was so cheap) so i’m gonna see if my dvd player is able to play it 😮‍💨 if not, it still is such a nice piece for my horror collection.

then we’ve got the extended cut for “battle royale” (2000), “the descent” (2005) which i’ve been dying to see! i might watch it today!! and the full first season of “the lair” (2007).

and now my most prized possession: a special two disc version of “bound” (1996) which i’m gonna watch with my friend who went on this dvd hunt with me 🙏

as always: i’m gonna keep track of every film i’m watching on my letterboxd @/vomit_fanta

This week's Monday Philm is The Boat That Rocked (2009), a perfect mid-summer movie and a perfect performance. If I was forced to choose, I might say the Count is my favorite PSH character of all time. He's very special, very warm, very true. I've written enough about Phil already this week, so I won't say much tonight—just that his laugh echoes through so much of this film.

“The only sadness tonight is that in future years there’ll be so many fantastic songs that it’ll not be our privilege to play. i scored some great dvds in the last few days. ebay and me have quickly become the bestest of friends.

gonna make a little haul once they’ve all arrived!!!

i fucking love physical media. i can’t get enough of my silly, little discs. actually scoured the internet for a region 2 dvd of ichi the killer with english or german subtitles for some time and my prayers have finally been answered🙏 that one is probably gonna take the longest tho cause it’s from the uk.

i also got a copy of 1980s cruising with al pacino!!! i’m super pumped to watch that film🤭

the others are various horror flicks that’ve been on my watchlist for some time. gonna start using my letterboxd (@/ vomit_fanta) again when they get here >:)
