Casie’s Girl
you and Casie get closer throughout your relationship with Colson.
wc: 800
a/n: could be read as part 2 to nervous
Colson was sitting on the couch in the living room, guitar in his lap as he strummed it distractedly. Slim and Rook were there as well, each working on their own thing.
They were chatting, discussing the upcoming performances they had lined up while you sat on the couch scrolling through your phone. You had been in Cleveland for about a week at this point and you loved being here. Being with Colson without any work pulling you two apart was amazing.
But you wouldn’t say you had him all to yourself. And that was definitely not a bad thing.
Casie strolled in minutes later, cat ear headphones on her head and phone in her hand. She didn’t even look up as she walked up to Colson and picked up the guitar, placed it on a nearby table, and sat in his lap. No one blinked an eye.
It was like this every time. Any time Casie entered a room where Colson was sitting down, she would just walk up to him and sit in his lap. You thought it was hilarious. You took a photo and sent it to Casie’s mom.
is this the closeness you were talking about earlier?
Tumblr media
It happened again the next day in the studio. Colson drove you and Casie out with him to a studio in town. He was meeting up with a few people and wanted to grab lunch with you guys after. You and Casie sat on a couch in the back in the beginning while Colson and the guys stood around setting everything up.
Then Colson sat down and it was like she got a notification in her brain that her father was no longer standing. She immediately got up and sat in his lap.
You chuckled and snapped another photo, saving it to a new album in your camera roll. C Squared. You were pretty sure it was going to fill up quite quickly.
And it did. Casie would wake up and have breakfast while in her father’s lap. She would play video games with Colson while in his lap. She painted her nails in her father’s lap, even painting a few of his nails.
It became normal at this point for you. She would walk in, sit on Colson’s lap, and you would take a picture. You would take almost ten pictures a day. It stopped being unusual.
Until one day. You saw Casie enter the room in your peripheral vision. You didn’t even look up, knowing she would go up and sit in Colson’s lap.
But she didn’t.
Casie walked up to you, took the book you were reading out of your hands, sat in your lap, and gave the book back to you. She said nothing, barely looked up from her phone. You sat there in shock.
You saw Colson look at you and look away before making a double take. You made eye contact and his eyebrows shot up. And then he smiled.
You put the book down next to you and squeezed Casie really hard. She squealed as you toppled over on the couch.
“I love you so much!” You told her, kissing all over the side of her face.
“I love you too! Stop squeezing me, I’m gonna pee!”
You kissed her cheek a few more times before you let go. “Alright, alright.” You conceded, sitting back up and holding her close.
You weren’t going to tell her that this little gesture almost made you cry, but you knew Colson caught your misty eyes.
It went on like that for the next few days. Every time Casie would walk into a room, she would sit in your lap. And Colson got hella pouty.
He went live one day while you were all in the living room. You could hear him responding to the fan’s questions, but you weren’t really paying attention. Until you heard your name.
“Where’s y/n?” Colson read, turning the phone a little to show you and Casie in the background. “Casie stole her from me.” Casie put up a peace sign and you giggled.
“She’s mine!” Casie laughed maniacally, humoring her father.
Colson rolled his eyes at the camera. “She’s Casie’s girl now, I lost her.”
“The Baker family is more dramatic than I thought.” You whispered to Casie.
“Wait until you see dad on my birthday. When did my baby grow up to be this big?” Casie imitated her dad and you laughed. “I’m not kidding! Waterworks and everything!”
“Trust me, if your dad starts the waterworks, I’ll be right behind him.” You warned her, hugging her tightly. “I’m Casie’s girl now, you can’t grow up on me too fast.”
Casie’s girl.
Yeah, that sounded just right.

A LunaTic and her Gunn (Part 109 1Xs2) "Welcome To The Hotel Diablo"
@crystalbaby12 @5sosfam1dlover @backoftheroomandnotbelonging @rosefilledhearts-blog
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Luna and Ashley may have a strangle on the #1 slot with Nightmare sitting tight for it's seventh week but Colson continues to control a vast majority of the Billboard Top 20 Pop Charts as Hotel Diablo debuts at #5. Not only with the two hits he has with Luna and Dom but also including a few of his own singles.
I Think I'm Okay has been holding strong at #2 for the last four weeks. Keeping the #1 position on the Alternative Charts for it's third also. Bad Things having it's own place at #3 on the Pop Charts for it's third week. Hollywood Whore is up three slots, grabbing the #5 spot this week while THAT Type replaces it at #8. El Diablo is sitting at #11 for it's own consecutive week while Bebe's climbing back up alongside THAT Type as Candy makes it's entrance at #19.
------------------------------------------------
Landing in Cleveland, everyone is pumped. Luna, Pete, Sam, Benny, Ashley and Dom excitedly passing Congratulations to The Boys over Hotel Diablo's immediate success. Everyone's coming in to town tonight. Meeting up for a full performance of the album at the Agora Ballroom for fans then another more intimate performance at Velvet Dog for the album's release party.
Dispersing from the hanger, Slim heads to his own Ohio home, Baze taking Sam along with him to his. Pete, Ashley, Rook, Dom and Benny dipping out to Colson's Cleveland House to meet up with Bullet while he immediately goes over to Emma's with Luna to see Casie.
------------------------------------------------
"Oooh, Sugar... I'm so fucking proud of yooou!! You have FIVE top 20 hits right now... We're gonna have to look some shit up, Buns, because I don't think anyone's ever done that before!" Luna gushes in the back of their Uber as she sprinkles his grinning face with kisses.
"No way. I'm not breaking any Beatles or Micheal Jackson records...." He pauses. "You really think it's possible?" Colson asks with hopeful look twinkling in his brilliant eyes.
"I do...." Luna reassures him as she pulls out her phone. "Here..." She says after a quick internet search. "You haven't broken anything yet... But you're close as fuck." She shows him her phone.
Only The Beatles out rank him with six Top 10 hits from February 29 to May 2, 1964. It's actually incredible and nothing he ever expected. For one of the first times Luna watches Colson go silent.
"I can't believe it fucking debuted at Five, Baby." He lowly admits with a slight hint of red to his sweet cheeks.
"Ohh, I can. You're whole soul is on that record." Luna replies with love.
"That's what I'm afraid of..." He says even lower.
"People always resonate with honesty, Bunny." She tells him, giving her opinion. "Why you think your fan base is so strong? Because you've always been honest." She pulls his cheek over to kiss it with her words.
"I love you." He turns to grin at her again while meeting her mouth.
Somehow, Luna always knows what to say to Colson. Whether he's at his most shittiest, pushing full confidence or the lowest of his lows, she never fails on telling him the truth in how she sees things. Colson doing the same for her. Neither being aware of deeply they truly take care of each other mentally.
------------------------------------------------
"PEANUT!!!" Colson shouts with a bellowing laugh as he scoops Casie up and spins her around.
Luna and Emma watch the two of them with their hearts oozing after they had greeted each other. Without thinking, Luna laces her hand inside Emma's and lays her head against her shoulder. Slightly catching her by surprise as she easily accepts Luna's affection.
"I love the way he loves her..." Luna sighs wistfully. "He's such a great dad."
"It's one of his best qualities." Emma agrees with a smile as she holds Luna's hand a little tighter. "Think you guys'll have kids?" She asks with a genuine interest.
"I... I don't know...." Luna trails off honestly as she lifts her head up, not bothering to mention Colson or Casie's wants from her.
"I think you'd make a great mother." Emma says, looking directly at Luna. "I see you with Case and how you make Colson a better man.... Not that that's any reason to have a baby... I'm just saying... Should it come, I think you'd be really good at it."
"Wow.... Thanks. That means a lot." Luna smiles thoughtfully.
Squeezing Emma's hand, she nestles back on top of her shoulder with Emma resting her head onto Luna's. Any jealousy or disparity from NY's lunch having already dropped away. Both thankful to have the other in Casie and Colson's life above all else.
Once Colson's finished with her, Casie greets an ecstatic Luna. The young woman dipping down to squeeze the little girl with love. Coaxing her inside with the promise of a new present to her parent's amusement.
"You didn't have to do that." Emma says after Luna gives Casie the new Nikon and tries to show her how to use it.
"Photography is my first love and she mentioned how she wants to learn, so how could I not?" Luna asks with a shrug and a bright smile. "Oh... And thanks for hooking me up with Bonnie. She's been beyond wonderful!" Going on to express her gratitude over Emma's connection and friend.
"Yeah, no problem. She had mentioned last week that you guys have been in contact. I'm glad to have helped... I can't wait to see how it turns out." Emma smiles warmly at Luna.
Colson's been watching all the important females in his life intently. Truly appreciating how easily Luna and Emma have gravitated towards each other while also attending to the youngest. It's easy to see the deep respect and enjoyment they hold for each other. Even in another life, they could easily be genuine friends also.
Grabbing Casie around the neck, he wrestles her around. Many shoutings of DAD escape as she tries to wiggle away to no avail.
"Wanna come to the show tonight?" He asks her as he slightly loosens his grip. "Don't play with me." He lightly shakes her when she hesitates with a sarcastic Uhhhhmmm.
"YEAH I wanna come!!" She grins up  at him. "Mom, can I?" She asks looking over.
"Yeah, Ma. Please." Colson pleads with her as he smirks.
"Ash gonna be there?" Emma asks to Colson's nod. "She'll bring her home after the show?"
"Lemme check." Colson reassures her as he let's go of Casie and digs into his pocket.
While Colson's on the phone, Luna chats with Emma about an array of things. Tonight's shows and the upcoming weddings along with Casie's findings and her adventures during the tour. Their conversation flowing easily while Luna continues helping the little girl figure out how to take pictures with her latest, prized possession. Her attentiveness not being lost upon the mother just like her dad.
"Ash said she can drop her off tonight before the album release party and then I'll just pick her up tomorrow before the Pop Up." Colson interupts them when heading back into the kitchen.
"And you'll keep her until when?" Emma asks.
Colson looks at Luna. "Uhhhh..." He hesitates.
"My girlfriend Deanna is flying in on Monday to try to finish up the wedding fittings... So Tuesday by the latest if that's okay?" She shrugs at Colson before looking at Emma.
With Casie's eyes pleading and her body hopping around her, it's hard for Emma to resist. Not that there's any reason to. Laughing, she says Yes to her daughter's excited hugs and kisses.
After Luna convinces Casie to leave her camera at home tonight, they hug and kiss Emma GoodBye. Arrival texts being promised as always before the trio wave GoodBye from inside the Uber.
------------------------------------------------
Back at The House, Colson's stoked to find Mod, Noah, Phem and Caroline. Along with a ton of packages and everyone else. Opening the boxes, he starts to shout for The Gang.
"Yo!! Pull up!!" He hollers. "I got one for you. And one for you. One for you and for you...." He says, handing the small boxes to Caroline, Phem, Mod and Noah before calling the others over that aren't within his long arm's reach.
A box goes to Slim, Pete, Baze, Casie, Rook, Dom, Benny, Bullet, Ashley and even Sam. He sets two boxes to the side for Ashleigh and Dub. Along with a handful of other's, amongst them are ones for Naomi, Trippie and Skies. Pulling Luna close, he hands her hers.
"Aight, bitches open 'EM!!" He shouts with a huge chuckle and grin.
Inside the box is a beautiful, thin, platinum and diamond encrusted Double X pendant on a slim rope chain.
"You're determined to have yourself all over me, hunh?" Luna asks with a snicker as she looks up at him.
"You fucking know it! Two rings, two tattoos, two necklaces. Two times, Kitten. Two times!" He grins wider at their inside joke while scooping her up to kiss her as Thank Yous explode all around them.
"GANG!! GANG!!" Slim shouts as he throws his arms up into an X.
Colson puts on Luna's necklace as Ashley helps Casie with hers. Everyone else assisting one another. Walking into the kitchen, Luna grabs a can of Sprite and an armful of beers. Passing them around, she opens Casie's soda before cracking her own beverage.
🎼Mothafuckas//KNOW//Who rides wit THIS Gang//By the way we be rockin'//Our Double X chains//They too soft//To know//HOW HARD UP WE CAME// Still swangen' around//Keepen' that//Bangen' A Rang thang//Got the baddest bitch//Locked wit tattoos and a rang//Checkin' into HOTEL DIABLO//You know shit's gon' be//FUCKIN' INSANE🎶
Colson shouts, bouncing around as they toast to Family and Hotel Diablo. His intimate circle hooting at his epic freestyle while Luna rolls her eyes and kisses his jawbone. In his soul he is still very much a Wild Boy.
------------------------------------------------
"Oh, Bunny..." Luna coos as her thighs tighten around Colson's waist.
They're upstairs in the shower getting ready for Colson's Big Night. He grips her ass as she clutches the back of his neck, thrusting him deeper inside of her. Both are panting in the steamy air as they suck on and fuck each other passionately. Pulling on the other's hair as their bodies throb and they pound themselves into one another.
"Fuck Kitten, you ready?" Colson gasps when he feels himself tingle from the upcoming explosion.
"Mmmhmmmm...." She moans as she bucks against him faster, giving them both permission to let go.
"Fuuuuuuuck....." They both sigh out in content as Colson continues to hold Luna and they rest their faces in each other's necks.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
"I have something for you..." Luna says while they're both still naked from their ShowerFuck, offering up her black portfolio case after finding it amongst their luggage.
"What's this?" He asks with intrigue, remembering the last gift the leather casing had held for him.
"Fuck.... I gotta get that framed." He suddenly thinks. "It'd be perfect in The Brownstone...." His mind drifts as he begins to muse to himself.
"Open it..." She encourages him with a gleaming smile. "I've been working on it for a minute..." She says as her lips drop into a tiny secret.
Unzipping the case, Colson is presented with another canvas. This time displaying an oversized painted replica of their punked out bunny. The background is a deepish purple with edgy whisps of creams and light colored violets flowing through out it. Making the hints of color in the white cartoon animal pop out of it's heavy black outline. The feeling easily representing Hotel Diablo's black and purple atheistic.
Arranged around their matching tattoo, with some items being embedded into the canvas, are physical pieces from The Tour. Their key card from The Watergate, the crumpled receipt from their coffee order in Detroit, a ticket stub from the planetarium in Texas. Amongst them is also the peeled off lable from their bottle of SpringBack 1919 they had shared in the San Francisco speakeasy and her BackStage pass from the Pittsburgh show. All secured and decorated with a slight black outline to showcase each of them.
A little larger than his huge thumb are eight small, intimate pictures of the two of them sprinkled throughout. Some are selfies but other's aren't. Luna breaking her own rule and using other's photography in her art. Angled in the the bottom right corner, in a black and light purple twist, lays a mutilated copy of Luna's lips spelling out Bad Things. Dotted in an iridescent paint to make it sparkle in dark wonderment. Fully tying the whole piece together.
Luna's art is truly like no other's. Combining multi-medias and dimensions with her muse's soul lingering inside of it. Colson's eyes are wide the way they were the night she gave him his first gift.
"Ready?" She asks, popping the switch sitting underneath as he stares silently holding her work.
Their bunny's eyes light up in a low, blue glow from the tiny bulbs buried deep inside the canvas. Colson's heart stops. Reminding him exactly of the night they met.
"Holy fuck, it's beautiful." His heart explodes once it begins to beat again. "How the FUCK does she do this shit...." He thinks in admiration as he continues to look it over.
"Wow." Is all he can say as he stares at his gift.
Luna watches as Colson takes his time absorbing the new piece. Her soul gleaming as he excitedly points out all their little memories. Once he's fully taken it in and sets it down, Colson pulls her in with one strong arm by her waist. Giving her a meaningful kiss.
"You like?" Luna asks with soft eyes and a loving smile.
"I fucking LOVE." He easily declares.
"Cool." Luna smirks, replying just the same as before as she kisses him back and wraps her arms around his waist.
"Thank you." He tells her as he runs his long fingers along her wet skull until his large hands cradle her head.
Colson kisses Luna with a passionate gratitude. Dipping their naked bodies onto the bed, he slowly and sweetly makes love to her. Taking his time as he softly kisses her while overfilling her body with himself. Running her hands lightly along his body, Luna enjoys their tenderness.
"Oh SHIIIIT..." Luna lowly moans as he kindly gives them both exactly what they want.
Sighing contently, wrapped in each other Luna and Colson let their kisses linger on each other's lips. Genuine and truthful I Love Yous being passed between them as they enjoy their quiet, intimate moment together.
Finally gathering themselves, they proceed to burn and chatter together as usual while they get dressed. Colson still railing his preference of Adderall while Luna pops her own three percs. She's trying hard but the gaping hole that ripped her shoulder muscles in two REALLY fucking HURTS.
Colson's dressed in all black while Luna pulls on loose, ripped jeans and a white crop top. A red and black flannel loosely tied around her waist as her hair flows wildly with a touch of natural curl.
"Make sure you wear your ring tonight." Colson tells her as he pecks the top of her head.
"Always do..." Luna gives him a weird look as she tosses up both hands, wiggling her fingers to display each of her beloved rings.
"Fucking better." He taunts her, slapping and jiggling her ass cheek to her pleased giggles as they walk out of the bedroom.
------------------------------------------------
The Agora Ballroom is sold out and jam packed. Colson is putting on a special concert to debut Hotel Diablo in full to ONLY his hometown.
Everyone is there. Colson, Ashleigh and The Boys. Luna, Casie, Pete Ashley, Dom, Sam and Benny. Mod's there, so is Caroline and Noah. Trippie Redd, Naomi Wild and Lil Skies all coming through along with Phem to perform their features. Backstage easily overflowing with artists and friends as Dub and Johnny come trickling in with a few other long time Cleveland friends. Sporadic industry pals making their way around also.
"What's happenin', My Dude?" Colson happily greets his friend with a dap and huge hug.
"Nutten' man... Worken' on the album, taken' care of Baby Girl. You know how it be.... What's poppin' wit 'chu?" Dub asks nodding in Luna's direction.
"You talk to Slim, hunh?" Colson shakes his head with a grin.
"More than your bitch ass." He replies with a joking tone.
Colson can see Luna but with the crowded room it's hard to get her attention. "Thanks Tommy." He thinks, smiling to himself, knowing exactly how to grab her.
"Hold up." He tells Dub before cupping his mouth with is hands and hollering "BROOOOKLYYN!!"
"This man..." Luna's mind laughs as she looks for Colson. Catching his eye quickly, she smiles brightly at him. "FUCK, I love his stupid ass." Her brain continues to tease her as she makes her way towards him.
"What's up, Ya Nut?" She chuckles once she reaches him, standing on her tippy toes to kiss his lowered cheek.
"Kitten, this is one of my bestfriends Dub. Dub-O... My Bitch, Luna fucking Smith." Colson beams with pride as he introduces the two.
"It's so nice to finally meet you! The way Colson talks about you, I feel like I already kinda know you." Luna says warmly as Dub loosely accepts her hug.
"That's funny because he ain't told me shit about you." He answers her with a snide look at Colson.
"Oh. No pleasantries? Straight to the Gate? Aight. What's good?" Luna's tone changes immediately as she pops her chin out with her last words.
Colson starts to laugh when Dub's top lip snarls at her fierce response. Cocky in his own right, Dub doesn't hesitate to hit back.
"You tell me, seems you always got my boy caught up in some shit." He cuts.
"Excuse me?" Luna draws back with her eyebrows furrowed.
"What the fuck you talkin' about Dub-O?" Colson jumps in with a slight attitude, just as confused as Luna.
"The streets speak, Kells." Dub says turning to Colson. "Word is Eminem's gunnen' for you even harder after whatever YOUR bitch pulled in Detroit." He continues as he shoots a glare at Luna.
"Motherfucker, you're out 'chour mind." Luna laughs at him. "And your streets don't know SHI..."
Colson cuts her off before she can finish, questioning his friend "What the FUCK you talken' about, Dawg? Luna held shit down as always and fuck that little bitch ass pussy. Let him come see me. I'll fuck his punk ass up again." Colson spits out.
"Bunny, don't." Luna says as she slips her hand into Colson's, both knowing she's trying to hit that natural anxiety reducer. "Look, I don't know what you heard and honestly, I don't care because it ain't right." She says directly to Dub before looking up at Colson then back at him. "But you better believe..." Luna continues looking straight into Dub's eyes as she points at him with her free finger. "Imma give you a legit reason not to like me if you fuck up his night... Because bestfriends don't do that shit." Luna states coldly before grabbing Colson's chin, planting a solid kiss on the side of his jaw and stalking away.
"WHAT THE FUCK DUB-O?" Colson balks angrily.
"I had to see if she could hang." Dub smirks at Colson bewildered confusion. "Slim said she rides hard for you, I had to see how hard." He laughs lightly with a shrug.
"You're a fucking DickHead." Colson snickers once he realizes what his friends play was. "Yo, you better get correct with her, she ain't nothin' to be fuckin' wit." Colson begins to laugh as he shakes his head.
"I see... Something tells me she can take a joke though." Dub laughs louder with amusement along with his old friend as he Buddy Slaps on the back.
"Actually, her fucked up ass probably would appreciate your stupidity." Colson continues laughing as the two of them turn towards the BackStage madness.
Luna's grooving. She'd love for all of Colson's friends to like her but unlike him, she doesn't give a flying fuck if they do. Honestly, she could give a flying fuck if anyone likes her. The less people that like her, means the less people that she has to unwillingly talk to.
Oddly enough, she's a hypocritical social butterfly. Floating around as she hangs out with their friends and kindly introduces herself to Naomi, Trippie and Lil Skies. Meaningfully gushing and talking to each of them regarding their personal contribution to Hotel Diablo. Going as far to tease Trippie about his Plan B, yeah. She loves the whole album, how could she not express her adoration and appreciation towards their work on it.
"Kitten..." Colson calls for her.
"You're on in 20." Ashleigh says, trying to redirect him.
"Hold on." He says putting up his index finger. "BROOKLYN!!" He says a little louder catching her attention.
"Hmmm?" Luna asks once she reaches him.
"I FUCKING love-LOOOOVE YOU!! He declares as he wraps a long arm around her waist and plunks a heart felt kiss onto her lips.
"Love you, Bunny." Luna giggles in sheer content as she pulls him in for a tight lip lock. "Fuckin' kill 'em." She grins as she squeezes his ass and sends him OnStage.
------------------------------------------------
The Band had been teasing his unknowing fans all throughout June with Sex Drive as they waited for his set to begin. Those who had experienced it, make the connection immediately and are going wild. As Cara's voice floats over top of them, welcoming them to The Hotel Diablo, the venue erupts into an excited explosion.
Colson is electric and in rare form tonight. The success of his album finally sinking in has him running, dancing and jumping like an overexcited puppy.
Luna's SideStage with Casie, Ashley, Pete, Ashleigh, Sam, Dom and a few others kicking out the lyrics to El Diablo as they bounce to the contagious hit. Jumping and pumping their fists as they pass bottles of Jamison and rattle along with Colson.
🎶I KNOW//PEOPLE HATE ME//JUST BY MY APPEARANCE//YOU MOTHERFUCKERS//CAN'T BE SERIOUS//EH🎶
Luna and Ashleigh shout as they bop together and thrust their fists into the air. Dropping their curled hands as they continue spouting about throwing dice and keeping their circle tight. Spinning their fingers in the air as they groove and grin at each other laughing. Pete headlocks Luna making Ashley shove him as AJ opens up with Hollywood Whore. Stopping them all in their tracks as the sweet reminder of Chester radiates through their souls.
Riding the riff side by side, they recite the lyrics alongside Colson. Happily joining them is Mod, Noah, Caroline, Phem, Johnny and Dub. Whose intently watching Luna. There was only a half truth to his rudeness towards her. He don't trust THAT Bitch at all. He also hasn't spoken to Slim in a week either.
As the bass kicks in the group of them slam into each other. Luna holding Casie's hand and protecting her with her body as they continue to sing along and bash into one another. The crowd is insane. Shouting the chorus along with Colson as he raps about two faces trying to fit in to his world when there's no new space while wanting to get him to commit third degree murder. Undercover exposing those who tried to play him like a Hollywood Whore in the City of Danger. Watching Colson rip into his guitar makes Luna's nipples hard as her pussy begins to salivate for him. He's fucking hot. On and off stage.
Colson talks to his family about the relevance of the song as the main chords to Glass House lowly play behind him. He mentions how he misses too many of his friends. Chester, Nipsey, Mac... Too many to list. Luna can hear his voice break slightly as he asks the crowd to sing along with him and Naomi.
Luna doesn't sing. She can't. It's one of the many songs on this album that breaks her heart too much. Holding Casie against her, she wraps her arms around the little girl's shoulders as she tries to hold back her tears. The ballroom is shouting along with Naomi as she begs to be thrown into damn flames and to be buried with gold chains. Luna braces herself and Casie for the most gut wrenching part of the entire album.
🎶Lately//I've been sick of livin'//And nobody knows//How I'm really feelin'//I always hated to smile//But I keep//What is killing me//Hidden inside//I didn't sign up//To be the hero//But I don't want//To wind up a villain//I put my daughter to bed//Then attempted//To kill myself//In the kitchen//Yeah//I should've screamed//But//Nobody listenedSo I passed out//With the blood drippin'//In this glass house//Feelin' like a prison//Me and death//Keep tongue-kissin'//I just fell out//With my lil' bro//The life gettin' to us//The drink gettin' to us//The drugs gettin' to us//It's highway to hell//And everybody knew//What the fuck//Were we doin'?🎶
Colson runs the bars flawlessly. Luna can't help the tears that drop from her eyes as her breath shudders. The truth of his lyrics are too painfully as she holds Casie a little bit tighter. With her mind flashing back to Justin's blank eyes she can't help the range of emotions she feels while thinking of Casie dealing with Colson in the same situation. Luna closes her eyes as she holds the little girl close and wishes for the song to end.
It does. The context of the next song isn't any easier though as Burning Memories kicks in. Colson's words shattering Luna's heart into a million pieces. The recording is nothing compared to his live voice finally asking his mother how she could leave him for another. Luna can only slightly vibe with everyone else as they sing about him dying before he wakes. Lil Skies comes out to the crowd's cheers to ask for Love and Truth before Luna's soul flips with the liquor in her stomach as Colson sings along with his fans about their dark days coming in the summer. Feeling the rumble of their voices, Luna finds it both amazing and soul wrenching that the album only dropped this morning, yet almost the whole venue knows all of it's intimate words.
Ashleigh grabs Luna's loose hand as she watches the blood drain from her face and tears drop from her unknowing eyes. Her touch and Pete's voice asking about More Dracula as him and Colson laugh and recreate the skit OnStage pulls Luna back to her senses.
"You okay?" Ashleigh asks her friend with concern.
"Yeah... It's just harder to hear it live." Luna sighs.
"I know..." Ashleigh squeezes her hand.
The lead up beat to Floor 13 starts flowing through their blood and Luna is quickly out of her wicked head. Smiling at Ashley, they rapid fire the lyrics at each other along with Colson. Luna laughs when he mentions what will happen upon a physical run in and Casie's hands. Rocking her good shoulder into the tiny Baker, Luna grins at her. Shooting finger guns at each other as they let off with her daddy.
🎶I heard that//They call me//Yeeeah//Let 'em in//I got somethin'//For 'em//Yeeeeah//Please forgive my sins//Blood on my//Ralph Laureeen//I can't wash this shit//Wake up//Say//Good morninnnn//Like I forgot🎶
Laughing, Luna swings Casie around from behind after singing the chorus together. Whispering Hotel Diablo along with her ASMR into her ear with a giggle. Casie cheeses while squealing and squirming out of Luna's grasp. Grabbing Pete and Ashleigh's hands as her dad kicks into Roulette.
This is Luna's favorite song on the album. She happily dances, sings and raps along with Noah, Mod, Ashley and everyone else about that Mothafucken' Rida Music. Sliding her thumb along her latest gift, Luna keeps her body rolling as she drags the double X along it's shiny string. Her and Noah grinning at one another as they share another bottle of Jamison and ask the other how many times they're gonna play with death before their 30yrs old. Cause they're chosen.
Things lighten up as The Boys joke around about Baze being Truck Norris. They were so fucked up the night Slim drunkenly tried to compare him to Family Guy skit with Chuck Norris's beard that none of them would have even remembered if it wasn't recorded. It's Benny's laugh that highlights the inside joke placed track, bringing a much needed lightness to the heavy album.
Naomi comes back in as her voice haunts the crowd. Taunting them as she sings about death in her pocket and how she feels so alive. Luna and Casie are holding hands again as they recite the lyrics along with Colson as he reminisces about him and Slim trappen'. Before he can mention his worry about passing down his addictive genes Sam scoops Casie up from behind. With so many people SideStage, this is the first time Sam has been able to make her way over to her smaller friend.
"What up, Homie!!" Sam laughs as she kisses Casie on the side of the cheek.
"SAMMY!!" Casie shouts excitedly as she turns to hug the dark haired drummer.
"I missed YOU!" Sam exclaims as she sprinkles kisses all over Casie's face. "I got you something..." She says as she digs in her pocket.
Candy is floating through the back Luna's mind as she watches Sam present Casie with three small band pins. "Who is this person?" She laughs to herself. "I wonder if this is how it felt with me..." She thinks of how six months ago she wouldn't have touched a child with a 10ft pole but now couldn't imagine not loving Casie. "Life is so fucking weird..."
"Shit Loons, I'm so sorry!" Ashleigh interupts her thoughts. "You're on in like 10 and I know you're not dressed."
"5:3666 is up after this, then me?" Linda asks as she hears Colson's opening chords to I Think I'm Okay.
"Yeeeeah..." Ashleigh answers sheepishly.
"Fuck it, how do I look because I'm not missing this song." Luna grins as she displays herself to Colson's manager.
"Great as always." She sighs out a laugh of honest relief.
"Then let's FUCKING GOOO!!" Luna shouts, grabbing her hand.
Pulling Ashleigh along, she rallies Casie, Sam and Ashley. Easily pushing their way to front right stage. Holding hands, jumping and screaming along with Colson, Dom and their fans, the group of girls rage.
🎶Watch me//Take a good thing//And fuck it all up//In one night//Catch me//I'm the one on the run//Away from the headlights//No sleep//Up all week//Wasting time//With people I don't like//I think//That something's//FUCKING wrong with me🎶
Everyone goes ballistic as Dom sings his solo. The venue is throbbing as they continue to rip through the pop punk song. Dropping their guitars, both boys jump into the ocean of waiting hands as they continue to sing together.
Climbing back OnStage, they grab their guitars again. Finishing out the song with multiple layered, intense GoodNights. The voices singing along with them so powerful, Luna swears she can feel the stage shake.
"Give it up for my brother, YungBlud!!" Colson shouts to the crowd's roars.
Phem joins The Band OnStage. Her moody voice wrapping around Colson's equally dark lyrics perfectly. His EST Fam chanting word for word with him. There is not one person in that building who isn't a Machine Gun Kelly fan. As the song comes to an end the ASMR of Luna and Colson in the studio plays over the speakers, making the walls shake in anticipation.
Dub continues to watch Luna as she swigs the bottle once more before disappearing. Like most people, he's not quite sure what he thinks of her.
------------------------------------------------
"Meh... Ash and Case seem to like her and she definitely ain't a member of The Slut Squad...." Dub thinks to himself while observing Luna. "Maybe she ain't as bad as Slim made her out to be.... She definitely got an attitude." He chuckles to himself. "Kells needs that though. Fuck... I don't know... who am I to judge.... Especially if Case and Ash bang wit her... Guess we just gonna have to see..." Dub decides as he watches Luna head OnStage.
------------------------------------------------
They start off as they have the many times before. Luna opening up delicately at the piano before Colson leads her out and The Boys kick in heavy behind them. Slaying his guitar, he raps about giving one another life while suffocating in the other's kiss. Bouncing around the stage, buzzing and teasing one another while promising each other how they'll want them forever and take them where ever.
🎶I'm just a LunaTic//With her Gunn//When we're together//Bad Things happen//The way you touch me//Is better than ecstasy//When we're not together//I still feel you//Coursing through me🎶
Luna and Colson hit the second chorus again together as Rook slams into his kit and Colson continues to shred his guitar. He tosses it SideStage as he joins her for last few verses. Pulling her in close as their bodies rock together and rush for the other. Grabbing her hand The Band drops away as they harmonize the last lyrics together.
🎶I'm all in//There is no maybe🎶
As they finish, Colson twirls her out. Letting go of her hand, Luna stops. Drops her head back with her arms at different angles and pops one knee. The response to their performance is volcanic. The crowd erupting for an ENCORE as the lights begin to go down.
Colson can't hear them, just his one thought. "I am going to FUCK the shit outta her..." His mouth salivating as he scoops her up to invade her willing mouth.
"You're so fucking hot." He pants as he continues to kiss her. "I wanna run an encore for El Diablo. What do you think? We'll get everybody OnStage?"
"Fuck YEAH!" Luna agrees kissing him back. "You tell The Boys, I'll grab everyone else." She grins.
"I fucking LOVE YOU." Colson tells her with a light laugh as he kisses her once more before they seperate for their missions.

The better part of Atta’s shift flew by before she knew it. She spent most of the daylight hours in the stockroom doing inventory. When she was finally forced to emerge as he was the last worker left for the night, she was thankful her last customer went with him. For the next hour, she immersed herself in her most recent series binge; Suburra: Blood On Rome. It intrigued her after learning what it was about and surprised her to see the amount of truth in it. She was so engrossed, one Airpod in, one out, when the door opened and the bell rang, she let out a small shriek and clamored to pause it and look busy. When she looked up from ‘dusting’ the counter, Atta rolled her eyes and threw the rag down, crossing her arms on the counter.
“Really, JP? Ever heard of a phone?” Atta remarked as her brother’s smirk bobbed between the aisles.
“You wanna kiss my butt?” Rook retorted back. Atta groaned and rolled her eyes, sliding her arms out from under her and laying her head on her arm.
“Explain why I have to put up with you again?” Atta grumbled. Rook snickered as he got to the counter, leaning on her right side and said, “Cause, not only am I the most adorable little brother you have, I’m the only one? Hm? Princess?”
Atta groaned again and punched Rook’s shoulder before curling her arms around her head. While she liked the power she received as the unofficial Princess of the XX Mob, she loathed being called such a demeaning name, especially by the other Dons and the elders. By the grace of God, Rook, Colson, and a very few select others were able to get away with calling her ‘Princess’ as a tease.
“Call me that again, John Paul, and I swear…” Atta said. Rook chuckled and leaned over to kiss her hair and said, “Come on, Sissy. I’m just kidding.”
A few soft chuckles escaped the curled mess of hair before she tossed her hair back and sat up, leaning next to Rook. She stared at him until he smirked and kissed her cheek, then pushing off the counter to look around the shop.
“Dad wanted me to check in on you. We were worried all your future prospects would try to ambush you.” Rook said, wandering around the store.
“Oh yeah? Where were you earlier? They could have come in then.” Atta shot back as she turned to start counting the register. Rook smirked at her and said, “Why do you think I’m here now? They’re no dumber than me.”
“And that’s not saying much, Rookie.” Atta teased. A small inflatable bounce ball bounced off her head, making her squeak then giggle as she turned to him, throwing it back. Rook dodged it and gave her the bird as he disappeared behind the next aisle. Atta returned it, even though he couldn’t see it, then went back to her work.
“So do you hate this place as much as Mom did yet?” Rook asked. Atta’s head shot up and she turned to him, face scrunched up and said, “Mom didn’t hate working here. She loved this place.”
“Not the people. Not in the end.” Rook said as he came back up to the counter. Atta glanced at him as she finished her tallies.
“Yeah. A few of them still come in. At least on my shirts. I’m not sure about the others.” Atta said, zipping up the money bags. “Watch the store for me?”
Rook gave her a two-finger salute as Atta ducked into the back office. He kept wandering around the store when the door opened again and he turned. “Hey. Colson, man. What are you doing here?” Rook asked, greeting him at the door and clapping hands.
“Hey. I could ask you the same thing.” Colson teased. Before the conversation could continue, Atta came back out, hair tied up and tying her apron back around her waist, saying, “Welcome to Cappalletti General. How-Colson. Hi.”
She stopped in her tracks, surprised to see him, and letting all form of customer service she gathered go, she smiled and tore the apron off. As the boys approached her, she slipped back behind the counter, folding her apron up and tucking it away in its place.
“So, what are you doing here?” Rook asked as both he and Atta leaned on the counter. Colson chuckled and shook his head.
“Your fucking twin shit creeps me out,” Colson said. Atta smirked and Rook chuckled and stood.
“Don’t change the subject, asshole.” Rook laughed. Colson smirked.
“I asked him to stop by. It’s been a while since he’s been home and I’m working a lot. Plus, I figured he would be a good repellant.” Atta said with a giggle.
“Repellant?” Colson asked with a raised eyebrow. “For what?”
“The droves of young men wanting to be chosen.” Rook said, dramatically, earning a shocked glare from his sister.
“Way to sell me out, JP!” Atta said. The boys chuckled as Atta rolled her eyes. The trio chatted for a whole before Rook saw he wasn’t quite needed. Jumping off the counter where he sat, and shaking Colson’s hand, Rook said, “I’d better head back to the house. I’ll see you, bro.”
Colson nodded as they clapped each other's backs, then Rook turned to Atta, who moved around the counter to hug him goodbye. “You call me if this cunt gets too handsy.” Rook joked. Atta giggled as he kissed her cheek before they broke the embrace.
“I think I can handle myself, thanks much,” Atta said. Rook chuckled and held up two fingers as he left, calling, “Take care of my sister, Colson!”
“With my life, man,” Colson called back, slipping an arm around her neck as they watched Rook leave. Once he turned the corner, Atta started cleaning up, Colson helping, taking the clutter of boxes she had brought out and unboxing them. After a while, Colson finally said, “Why’d you lie to him?”
Atta’s head shot over to him and before she could say anything to defend herself, Colson set one of the boxes they were moving down, reminding her gently, “You said last night you wanted company.”
Atta sighed and said, “Rook would have made a big deal about it. I can’t ask about you without him giving me shit.”
Colson chuckled and crossed his arms over the box and watched as Atta continued to stock. “Why would he give you shit? We’re friends too.” Colson said. Atta shot him a look that made Colson give a very rare and genuine smirk and he shrugged with a soft, “What?”
Letting the heavy box drop from her hands, onto the counter, with a light thud, Atta said, “Please. You know if he had the power to make us be together, he’d do it. I think he wants it more than we would.”
“Would? Not do?” Colson asked, lightly teasing her, though the clear slyness didn’t escape his tone. Atta looked at him and scoffed, lightly, a small smile touching her lips before they dropped and Atta looked away.
“Daddy would never allow it anyway. The Dons would riot…” She said softly, the last part more to herself than Colson, but he still heard it. The barest touch of a smile pricked his lips as he left his spot to go over to her, leaning on the counter as she restocked around the register.
“John spoke to me before I left yesterday,” Colson said gently. Atta glanced at him in a silent question, Colson responding with, “He told me that I wasn’t allowed to offer myself for your marriage. And when Rook takes over, there’s still nothing he can do because it could piss off the Dons and they will call for a vote and remove me.”
Atta’s movements had slowed to a stop as Colson spoke, but hearing that the Dons could force Colson to leave, her head shot over him. “That’s fucking bullshit, Colson,” Atta said. “You and Rook have been at those meetings since you were babies. This is your family, not theirs. They can’t just use you two for their own gains! That’s not what XX is about!”
Colson chuckled and followed Atta’s movements as she made her way around the counter, her green eyes burning. He held up his hands to stop her, but Atta brushed past him.
“No, Colson! That is asinine! Those stupid, senile old men refuse to let go of the post and pass their sexist, misogynistic teachings to their sons! And now, I have to marry one to keep the peace?!” Atta yelled. Colson finally caught her arm as she paced the floor, and pulled her closer, chuckling.
“Atta. Baby. You have to relax.” Colson said, placing a hand on her hip and one on her cheek. “John’s gonna be around a lot longer than those old bats. He’ll line everything up for Rook and me, and we’ll run XX together, alright?”
Atta blinked the thin layer of tears away as she took a breath and closed her eyes, briefly. Colson took her face in his hands, gently, and smiled as he said, “I’m not going anywhere, JP.”
The use of her old nickname made her break a smile. Colson smiled a little wider and pulled her closer, into a hug. Atta closed her eyes and sighed deeply into his chest. His strong arms wrapped around her and held her tight as she let go of all the intrusive thoughts she had since her father first told her about his plan for her marriage. With a few more deep breaths, his cologne filled her senses, pushing her to relax even more. Around Rook, Colson, or any of his crew, Atta felt the safest. Being one of the only girls growing up with the mob, both Rook and Colson always her safe protected.
But her serenity was soon shattered as the door opened and a  familiar and obnoxious voice said, “Well, well. Isn’t this sweet?”
Colson rolled his eyes and he and Atta both broke the embrace and turned, as Enzio sauntered over to them, smirking. Atta took a step away from Colson, with a sigh, and smoothed out her skirt.
“Enzio. I missed you at the meeting yesterday.” Atta said. Enzio inserted himself between Atta and Colson, pushing Colson back. Enzio looked her over and smirked, reaching out a hand to trail his fingers along her jawline and said, “You look good tonight.”
Atta closed her eyes for a moment, resisting the biggest eye roll of her life. Blinking once, slowly, she said, “Enz, I’m in my work uniform. And I’m sweaty and grimey.”
“Yes, but, bella regazza, a true man can see past physical appearances and see his woman as beautiful no matter how she looks,” Enzio said. Colson rolled his eyes so hard, he was almost sure he had detached his retinas. Fortunately, he didn’t go blind and was able to see Atta sigh, heavily, shift on her feet, then say, “Right. Okay. Look. Enzio, I have to finish stocking.”
“Ironic. So does Enzi here.” Colson said. Atta snickered and glanced at him. Enzio turned and gave him a look before ignoring him again and turning back to Atta. She cleared her throat and asked, “Was there something I can do for you, Enzio?”
“Well, I came by to keep you company. Plus, I figured some of the sons were going to pester you since you’re alone.” Enzio said.
“Nope. Just you, d’Este.” Colson remarked, with a smirk. Atta covered her mouth as she watched Enzio’s face change as his smile dropped and he turned to Colson. With his back to Atta, she let her body shake with silent laughter, a hand clamped over her mouth. Colson smirked and shifted, holding his hands clasped in front of him. Enzio’s smile returned, if only in a taunt. Picking at Colson’s suit, Enzio said, “Don Romano. If there is something you’d like to say to me…”
“Nothing I can say in the presence of a lady,” Colson said. Enzio chuckled and said, “That is a coward’s excuse, Romano. Stop being a pussy and say it.”
Colson merely smirked and watched him. Finally, Enzio gave into his anger and moved to shove Colson to get a rise out of him, but Atta caught his arm and swung him around, saying, “Wow. Would you look at the time? Closing time and I’m not supposed to have customers here past 10. So…”
As she continued, she steered the man through the aisles and pushed him at the door with, “I would love to say it was good to see you, Enzio. So, you take care now.”
Enzio was too stunned to do anything more than mutter as Atta dragged him across the store. But now, he found his footing and composed himself enough to say, “Atta, we both know that’s bullshit. Why doesn’t he have to leave then?”
Atta glanced back at Colson then back to him, wearing a smirk. “He’s not a customer. He’s an employee.” She said, planting a firm hand on his chest.
“That’s horseshit!” Enzio shouted, more directed at Colson than Atta.
“No. No, it's not. He pitches in shifts when he’s home every now and then.” Atta stated, quite confidently. Enzio’s eyes flitted back down to Atta, unsure of what else he could say to convince her to let him stay. But Atta simply smiled and said, “Bye.”
With a quick, hard shove, Enzio stumbled backward, out the door. Atta quickly closed it, locking it and turning her back to the man. Ignoring his stares, silently telling her to let him back in, Atta all but skipped back to the register. Colson stood there, snickering, as Atta came back and leaned against the counter. Atta stood there as he snickered, waiting for him to finish. Finally, Colson gave his last snigger before the silence settled between them. Colson was waiting for her to crack and laugh along with him, but when he realized that she did find it amusing, but not as funny as he did, he touched her arm and said, still with a smirk, “Come on. Let’s get you home.”
Colson turned back to the boxes and they both continued stocking. “So, how’s your mom doing?” Colson asked. He finished the box without missing a beat, while Atta stopped for a moment and glanced at him. When Colson finished his box and turned to her, waiting for her response, he was able to catch a brief glimpse at Atta’s face as she turned away.
“Um...She’s doing good. Not great, but good.” She said with a false cheer in her voice. Colson sighed and caught her hand as she pulled it back from setting something down. Atta twitched at the touch, but stopped and looked at him anyway.
“Atta, don’t lie to me. Lie to Rook. Not to me.” He said. Atta sucked her bottom lip into her mouth and couldn’t keep the tears from forming. Colson stood and rounded the counter, quickly, so he could comfort her, but Atta shook her head and met him at the divide, pressing one hand to his chest and the other lifted to wipe the stray tear.
“No. Don’t. I-I’m fine.” She said, with a heavy sigh. She sniffled and blinked a few times, trying to gather herself before she could look at Colson. In a semi-broken voice, she was able to get out, “The, uh, the doctors told us that...She only has about another 6 to 9 months.”
Colson’s eyes went wide, both in shock and a realization. He rubbed a hand over his chin with a sigh and said, “Shit...So, um...Is that why your dad is making you get married?”
Atta sniffled, softly, and nodded. “Yeah. He wants Mom to be there for our weddings, so…” she said, her voice growing softer as she trailed off her words. She wiped at her face and sighed, upset with herself for getting so upset when talking about her mother. Colson sighed and gently pulled her into a hug, holding her tight. Atta pressed her face into his chest, letting out one, quick sob. Colson kissed the top of her head and held her, gently and slowly rubbing her arm. After giving her sometime in silence, he pulled away from her slightly, looking down at her, and gave her a small smile, repeating, “Come on. Let’s get you home.”
Atta chuckled and nodded. While she turned off the lights and made sure all the doors were locked, Colson hauled the remaining boxes into the storage room. He met her at the front of the store and waited outside for her as she turned off the sign, closed the door and locked it. She turned to him, touching his arm then taking it as he turned. They fell into step with each other as they crossed the street and headed toward her building.
Lurking in the shadows of the alley across the street from Cappelletti General, a dark figure watched the couple, snapping a few pictures before disappearing into the darkness.
~
Atta didn’t despise living at the manor, as it was still on the water, but she often got tired of it all; Being around the Dons or their men all the time, each and every one of them trying to impress her in some way so she would gift them something or put in a good word for them, or even go out with them. She needed a place that was just hers. No influence from her father or her aunts about what she should have. She had the necessities befitting an Italian home and to her, that was enough. The rest of the space was hers alone. But Atta didn’t have just a simple apartment. She was the daughter of John Cappelletti Sr, Head of the XX Mob. John found her a penthouse by the water in their hometown of Pozzallo before they moved to Marsala, across the island.
They walked up to Atta’s building and Colson stood guard, watching the streets while she unlocked the door. She called back to him as she opened the door and he walked inside with her. Once they were in her apartment, Colson went to the couch to sit while Atta poured them both a glass of wine. She came over to him and handed it to him, sitting close to him, both legs folded beneath her. Colson smiled and took it, leaning a little closer to her.
“What wine is this?” He asked with a knowing smirk and tone. Atta scoffed at him, in mock offense and said, “Hey, I’m not a wine snob, okay?”
“Yeah. Uh-huh, you nearly throttled me for downing a glass of ‘47 Château Chablis whatever.” Colson said. Atta rolled her eyes, sipping the wine, and said, “That wasn’t even what it was. And it was good wine! You need to learn how to drink wine like a gentleman, Colson.” She added a smirk and a giggle as she took another sip. Colson chuckled.
“Well, whatever...So what is this?” He asked, swirling the contents around in his glass. Atta practically buried her nose in her glass for a moment before she moved it and said, “Seven Daughters Moscato. Some wine from a friend in America.”
Colson chuckled, having caught her, and took a sip. He swished it around in his mouth for a moment before he swallowed it and nodded. “It’s good. It’s sweet.” He chuckled. Atta nodded and set her glass down.
“I know. But I like it. It’s good for an American wine.” She giggled. She watched Colson lean over to the coffee table and set down his glass, then lean back, putting his arm across the back of the sofa. They watched each other for a moment before Colson lifted the hand behind her to brush the backs of his fingers across his cheek. Atta bit her lip as they pricked with a light smile. Colson leaned closer and softly pressed his lips against hers, deepening it, slowly. His free hand slid along her thigh, making Atta pull away. She shook her head and said, softly, “Mmm...Colson, we can’t.”
He sat back with a soft huff and nodded. “I know.” He said, looking at her. Atta took his hand in both of hers, running her nails along the back of his hand and his wrist lightly. He watched her as she bent her head down to stare at their hands, neither of them wanting to speak more on the touchy topic, but Colson had to. “You know, I love you, Atta.”
Atta looked up at him and smiled, giving him a small nod. “I know you do.” She said, briefly lifting a hand to touch his cheek. Her face changed, a look of sadness and upset flashing briefly across her features and in those green eyes of hers. She shook her head, slightly and said, “But we can’t...They’d never allow it.”
Now it was Colson’s face that changed; Twitching and turning angry. Atta sighed and shifted closer to him, reaching out to put a hand on his chest. “Colson, don’t-” But Colson cut her off by quickly standing, walking away from the sofa. Atta fell forward, her hand planting on the armrest, and she sighed, heavily, closing her eyes, gently tapping her fist on the armrest, whispering, softly, “Goddamn it…”
“They don’t like me because of my crew. That’s it. That’s the only reason!” Colson said, starting to pace in front of the fireplace. Atta sighed again, softer this time, and looked up at him, turning to him as she started to get off the couch.
“I know that, Colson.” She stated, but gently. Colson’s blue eyes burned as they darted around, trying to keep a level head. He rubbed his hand over his mouth and chin, roughly. “If it was just Baze? They wouldn’t question him. I mean, they might look into him in case he ran with the Irish, but that’s about it. If It was just Baze, they wouldn’t care.”
Atta slowly made her way over to him, managing to get him to stop pacing, just shifting around as his anger bounced around inside him, ready to burst. She gave him a look, part sympathetic, part knowing.
“If I didn’t bring AJ or Slim, there wouldn’t be a fuckin’ problem. They see color before loyalty. And since they see them with me, they see betrayal.” Colson said.
“I know that, Colson.” She repeated, a little firmer, slightly gripping his shirt. “But they’re old Italian men stuck in their ways, refusing to change.” Colson moved to begin pacing again, but Atta stopped him and gave him a look, adding, “And you had better make sure you don’t end up like that either. Or you’re no better than them.”
Colson scoffed and shrugged her off, moving to the other side of the fireplace to begin pacing again. Atta sighed as he did, and stood there for a moment more before she said, “Vittorio was the same way. Aureliano wasn’t and that’s what got him killed.”
Colson stopped in his tracks and turned to her as she turned to him. Her words sunk in deeply before he stalked over to her. Before he could shout at her, Atta said, “Am I wrong? You can’t be mad at me if I’m not lying.” She stared him down, daring him to call her a liar when they both knew she wasn’t. Colson growled and stalked away again, pacing once more.
“Vittorio was stuck in the ways of being the son and heir to Angelo Romano. He had to live up to the role his father built for him when he formed the XX.” Atta said, watching him pace. Colson glanced at her and gave a soft groan of disapproval. “You know this better than I do, Colson. He was your father. Aureliano was a free-spirited, open-minded person, who wanted to see me, Carina, and Maddelena rise as high as you boys could. The Dons didn’t agree with him and when he wouldn’t shut up, and was about to convince Daddy to change his mind, they had him killed-Am I wrong, Colson?”
She quickly added the last question as she saw him ready to advance on her again. He curled his fists and growled, wanting desperately to break something, but also knew Atta would probably break him if he did. Finally, Atta went to him, sliding her hands over his balled-up fists gently and gave them a soft squeeze. Colson internalized another groan as he sunk down, squatting in front of her, trying to quell his anger, bringing his fists up to press against his forehead. Atta slid her hand over his back, reaching up to drag her nails over his scalp gently, and squatted down next to him. She curled a hand around his bicep, using him as leverage to pull herself closer to him, and nuzzled her nose against his cheek.
“Nothing will change if you stay angry.” She said, softly. “It’s been years and they will not accept AJ and Slim. Until they are shown undeniable doubt that color doesn’t fucking matter...And even then Colson...You know the Dons better than I do. Will even that change their mind?”
Colson sighed and shook his head slightly. Atta cupped his face and turned it to her. His face softened to almost a state of defeat and melancholy. She gave him a small smile and kissed him softly. Colson sighed and kissed her back, then slowly stood, Atta rising with him. He rubbed his hands over his face and sniffled, slightly, then sighed. He took a step back to lean against the dining table, Atta taking a step closer to him as well.
“It doesn’t matter who you marry, Atta. I’ll always love you. You will always be mine.” He said, changing the subject slightly. Atta nodded and moved even closer, resting her hands on his chest, Colson sliding a hand up to hold both of hers.
“No one else has ever had my heart, Colson.” She said. Colson gave a soft scoff, his lip curling in a brief smirk, and said, “Not even Rook?”
Atta chuckled, softly, and said, “That’s a twin thing. It’s a vastly different emotion.” He lifted a hand to brush her hair back, as his other hand took her waist. Atta’s fingers curled, clutching his shirt, lightly. She bit her lip as she looked at him, a mix of desire and anxiety washed over her face. Colson saw the chance and took it, roughly smashing his lips against hers, walking her back until she hit the dining room wall. Atta slid her arms around his neck as she kissed him back, tugging at his shirt to bring it up, lifting it until Colson was forced to break the kiss so she could pull it off and let it drop. Colson took her waist and kissed her again, his hands now working on her skirt and leggings, digging his fingers into the waistband and gathering it in his hands, before he broke away to pull them off, along with her panties. He knelt down, gently removing each foot from the leg before he kissed his way back up her legs, glancing up at her when he got to her sex. A wicked smirk crossed Atta’s face. Breathing heavily, she linked her fingers with the ones he had on her hip, her other hand drifting down to thread through his hair and curl her fingers around it.
Colson pushed her legs further apart before slipping two fingers inside her, while his tongue swirled in circles around her clit. Atta gasped and moaned, loudly, her eyes fluttering closed as the fingers tangled in Colson’s hair tugged, hard. She whimpered and wiggled under his tongue, not nearly brought far enough to climax when he broke away and pushed up her shirt as he began to kiss up her body. Atta quickly tore her shirt off and sighed, while Colson pulled her closer, kissing her deeply and shoving a hand into her hair. Atta sighed into the kiss, adding a soft moan, as she slid her hands down to his pants, undoing them and slipping her hand into his boxers. When her fingers wrapped around his cock, Colson broke the kiss, tossing his head back with a soft groan as Atta slowly moved her fingers along his shaft, lightly letting her nails drag along.
Colson hissed and gave her hair a good tug to make her whimper, her hand stilling for a moment. He looked down at her and smirked, pulling his hand from her hair and letting it slide down her arm. Atta smirked at him, beginning to lay kisses along his tattooed chest, down his long torso. As she made her way down, her hands worked quickly to push his pants and boxers down so his cock was free by the time her lips got to his waist. Savoring the moment at his hips, she slowly placed a line of kisses and licks down to his base. Colson slid a hand into her hair, mouth hanging open, slightly, as he watched Atta take him in her mouth and suck gently. She worked her mouth over his shaft, licking and sucking, while Colson gathered her hair behind her, holding her head as it bobbed. He groaned out her name as let her suck at him for a moment longer, before he pulled her up, picking her up in the process, and turning to walk her to the table, laying her back on it. Atta let out a soft gasp at the initial motion, clinging to him as he swung her around like she weighed nothing and laid her on the table like a feather. Slowly, he reached behind her to unhook her bra, pulling it off slowly to expose her breasts.
“We-We can’t...Daddy wou-Rook-” Atta whimpered. Colson leaned down to kiss her, sliding his hands over her body, stopping as he cupped her breasts. He finally broke the kiss, breathing heavily as Atta was, he kissed his way to her ear. While guiding himself to her entrance, he whispered in her ear, “Rook knows about the first time. He wouldn’t do anything. And Papa Cap? We know he doesn’t want anyone touching his daughter. But if someone did, he knows he’d rather it be me.”
Atta smirked and giggled, letting a soft gasp slip as she felt him press his head against her sex. “You dare defy Daddy’s orders?” She teased with a giggle, turning her head to look at him as Colson hovered over her, gazing up at her with a smirk. “I’m almost positive he knows you took my virginity. But he’s never said anything to me. But it’s not like I would have been a virgin for long if it wasn’t you. One more man before my wedding can’t hurt.”
Colson smirked and sunk his teeth into his lower lip as he leaned back, pushing into her. Atta moaned out his name and squeezed her eyes shut. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he thrust in and out of her. She moaned as she moved with him, meeting each of his thrusts. Atta gripped the edge of the table to give her more leverage as he plowed her, every thrust hitting her in just the right way, she quickly climaxed and revved up again. Her eyes fluttered back open as she stared up at Colson. Sliding a hand up his chest, she said, “Yes, baby. Oh, god...damnit. Colson...Oh!...Mmm, you’re the only one who knew how to fuck me right…”
He leaned down to kiss her, roughly, gripping her hips as he thrust, before sliding his hands to her cheeks, squeezing them. “Yeah? Tell me how else you want it, baby. Whatever you want.” Colson growled out into her ear. Atta groaned and pushed at him, pushing him away. Colson stumbled back, tripped up by his pants and boxers still around his ankles. He watched her with a smirk as he stepped out of them. Atta slowly closed her legs and sat up, pushing her hands through her hair then crooking a finger at him. Colson stepped back up to her, sliding his hands over her thighs. She kissed him slowly, sliding her hands over his cheeks before wrapping her arms around his neck. Breaking the kiss with a soft groan, Colson repeated, “Tell me what you want me to do, Atta.”
Her lips curled against his in a smile before she said, “We’ve never been able to do more than a quickie...And it’s been so long, I hardly remember it anymore.” Her voice almost had a lilt to it as she continued, “I want to remember this night, Colson. No one knows you came home with me. Stay with me tonight. Love me tonight. Show me that I’m yours and no one else’s.”
“Whatever my princess wants.” Colson breathed into her ear, trying to pull her legs apart to insert himself. Atta pulled his hands away and giggled. “Not yet...I’ve been at work all day...I need to shower first.”
Colson’s eyes darkened and the same sly smirk crossed both their faces.

A LunaTic and her Gunn (Part 1)
"The Girl in the Cheetah Print Coat"
Tumblr media
"OH!! KELLS!!"
Ashley yells from across the living room.
"I forgot to tell you, I invited my girl Luna out with us tonight. She's a bad ass chick whose an artist too. She shoots the most intimate pictures. You'll love her mus...."
Colson is sitting at the large dining room table rolling up joints for his birthday party tonight. He's listening but honestly he doesn't care who's gonna be there. His main objective is to get fuuuucked up tonight. Last year before The Big One.
"You mean Luna Smith, That Brooklyn Bitch!?!" Pete interrupts Ashley excitetedly. "I FUCKING LOVE HER!!! Dude, she's like one of my greatest friends. We go back to before I was doing stand up. She's one of the first people to push and shoot me."
"ME TOOOO!!!" laughs Ashley "I didn't know you knew her, that's crazy!"
In unison, "You ain't shit, until you've been shot by a Lunatic!!" they shout, laughing.
Colson fires up a joint as he vaguely listens to Pete and Ashley swap stories about this Luna chick. Running around Brooklyn, late night missions, this show here, that show there, .... all basic punk, riot gurl shit.... But wait.....? Talking her way outta a B&E AND resisting arrest charges!? Colson's ears perk up. He's just about to join the conversation when he's distracted by Dom, Ashley's boyfriend, plunking down beside him.
"Happy Fooking Birthday, Mate!!" he says as he helps out rolling and shots begin to flow. Colson's mind loses any thoughts of Luna.
---------------------------------
An hour or so passes. The rest of the band shows up and a few close friends too. They're all over to pregame before dinner and the killer house party planned for afterwards. Over the bump of the music Colson hears the door bell. Needing a break and wondering who the fuck is at his door, he yells "I've got it."
He opens the door to find the back of a tiny body in a black leather jacket with long golden blonde hair cascading down it. There's a short, flowing red dress under it, booty popping out, tattooed legs and chunky heeled combat boots.
"My kinda style..." he thinks to himself, looking her up and down.
She turns around revealing bright, blue eyes. "HI!!!" She says, a wide smile spreading acrossed her face, making her eyes dance. "I'm Luna, Ashley's friend. You must be Colson." She continues, sticking her hand out to shake his. "Uh, yeah..." He stumbles, running his hand through his blonde hair subconsciously after he shakes her hand. "C'mon on in...." He steps back to allow her inside.
"Fuck Dude. Where have I seen her before??? He wonders to himself. "GOD, I KNOW I FUCKING KNOW HER. FUCK, FUCK, FUUUCK. God she's beautiful. I hope I wasn't an asshole. Fuck."
As Luna follows Colson inside she gently grabs his wrist. When he turns to her, she says "Ash told me it was your birthday. I hope you don't mind but I made you a gift."
"Wow. Thank you." Colson says, caught even more off gaurd.
"Wanna see it?" She asks.
"FUCK YEAH!" he replies with a huge grin.
"Cool." She says with a smile. "I need a table."
"Oh, it's like that???"
"It's like that." She shrugs.
Colson guides Luna to the dining table which now is littered with liquor bottles, cans of monster, rolling papers, joints and jars of bud. He clears off a space for the black leather portfolio case he just notices that she has been carrying.
"I hope you like it." She says, looking up into his sparkling blue eyes with a tiny smile.
She unzips the leather case exposing a canvas with the logo from his Lace Up album painted as the background. In the middle is a black and white photo of a young Colson looking directly at the camera from side stage. It's safety pinned on top of a peice of studded leather. Scattered through out the canvas are cut outs displaying little negatives. The top showcases his stage name MGK and under the picture is a ripped ticket stub. Luna steps aside, watching Colson's eyes light up in excitement and disbelief.
"HOLY. FUUCK." He says, looking over at her. "This is fucking amazing. Thank you".
He reaches to hug her but she ducks out of his grasp.
"Wait, wait, wait..." She says, lifting the art peice out. She touches the bottom of the canvas, making all the negatives light up bright to be clearly seen. They are of him performing during the same show.
"WHAT THE FUCK!!" He yells bouncing around the room, geeking for a second. "THAT IS FUCKING BAD ASS!" he exclaims. Without thinking Colson grabs Luna tightly around the waist, lifting her up and spinning her around. She laughs loudly, pleased with his happiness. "Thank you." He softly says again, kissing her lightly on the forehead as he puts her down, blushing. She can't help but notice how delicious he smells, with his long arm draped around her shoulder and his 6'4 body towering over her 5'2 frame. He engulfs her as he leans in to take a closer look. He recognizes that night immediately. Leaning back and staring so deeply into her eyes he can see the ring of yellow around her irises for the first time.
"Two things. Your eyes are fucking insane. And who took these?" He asks directly.
"Uhm... Thank you? And I did, at The Gramercy, I believe. It's on the stub on the bottom." She replies.
As Colson looks at the ticket stub his heart is racing. It confirms what he knows. "It's her. It's her. It's her." His mind keeps repeating. "Holy Fuck, she's The Girl in Cheetah Print Coat!!!" his brain can't help but scream. "Fuck it" he thinks "Shoot your shot."
"You gotta boyfriend?" Colson asks Luna ducking down closer to her face, mustering all his bravery, while his left arm is still around her.
"No." She says quietly, lightly shaking her head with a look of intrigue.
With that he craddles the side of her face with his whole right hand, kissing her deeply.
Luna's body had been warm since he first scooped her up but it immediately sets on fire the moment his mouth presses upon hers. She feels a wave wash over her, making her nipples hard and vagina plump. "WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING?? I haven't since Just..." She thinks with a flash of pain in her heart before she allows herself to give into Colson completely and the electricity he sends pulsing through her body.
She kisses him back fully. Tongues dancing and exploring each other's warm mouths. Ending it with a long, intimate kiss on the lips, Colson stares at her deeply again.
"Be my birthday date?" He asks
"Yes." She answers without hesitation.
---------------------------------
From across the room Ashley and Pete stand side by side watching their friends interact. "Well, THAT was unexpected." Ashley says. "Yeah." Pete replies. He and Ashley know both Luna and Colson very well. As good friends do. "They're either gonna soar or crash and burn. Either way, it's gonna be one hell of a ride." Ashley goes on. Pete stands with his hands in his pockets. "Yep.....and I blame it all on you." He jokes, lightly jabbing her in the ribs. She shoots him a 'bitch please' look. "They've both been through a lot." Ashley says. Pete sighs. "I know." As they make their way over to their newly acquainted friends.
--------------------------------------------------
"LOOOOOONS!!!!!!!!!" Pete and Ashley both scream.
"What she make you, Kells? Ashley asks while grabbing a laughing Luna for a tight hug.
"Yeah, she makes the best presents..." Pete chimes in, waiting his turn to hug and greet his friend.
"DUDES. Check this shit out." Colson says. Picking up the canvas and displaying it proudly in front of him.
"Damn, Loons!! You really out did yourself with this one!" exclaims Ashley. "How'd you do the lights???"
Luna beams. "Thanks, Ash. I just cut the canvas and ran a little watch battery powered strand of lights around the inside of the frame to put behind the negatives. It really wasn't that hard."
"It's fucking bad ass art is what it is. Thank you again." Colson says leaning in to kiss her directly in front of their friends. Luna blushes when she catches Ashley's eye afterwards. Ashley smiles back, happy for her friend.
"NOW WHO'S READY TO GET THIS FUCKING NIGHT STARTED!!!!" Colson yells as he carefully puts his gift back into its case. "Yo, Bro" he says turning to Pete. "You mind running this up to my room so it doesn't get fucked up? Thanks, Man." He finishes as Pete agrees and takes the case.
Colson turns to Luna. "You are something else, aren't you?" He half asks, half declares to her, while holding her face with both of his huge hands. She smiles as he slides his warm tongue back into her willing mouth.
"I could kiss her all night." He thinks.
Pete interrupts them when he returns. Colson kisses Luna hard before breaking away and declaring "AND WE OUT!!". He grabs Luna's hand tightly and leads her into the night.
-----------------------------------
At TAO everyone is laughing, eating and drinking. Luna is set between Colson and Ashley. Across from Pete and Rook, whom she just met but immediately decides she likes when he brings his drumsticks to dinner.
"Why do they call you That Brooklyn Bitch?" Rook asks.
Pete laughs "Because Loons over here is the ultimate underground scene queen. She knows you're hot before YOU know you're hot. Plus, her grandparents are Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe. AND, she'll fuck you up, no questions asked. You don't get anymore Brooklyn than that." Pete continues laughing.
Luna rolls her eyes and smiles. "Thanks, Bud. You describe me so well. Fuck that I'm an artist. I make people cooool" Luna smiles, giving Pete the finger. "And of course you just gotta fit my lineage in there, hunh? Fucking Ass." She says laughing, throwing a peice of bread at him. "No," she continues, still smiling, turning to look at Rook. "I've had that nickname since I was a kid. It started because I was never afraid to throw down. No matter where you or I are. If you are my friend and there is a problem, you can count on that bitch from Brooklyn to be there."
"TRUTH!!" Shouts Ashley next to her. The girls laugh, as Ashley raises her glass to Luna's, cheersing all the shit they have experienced together through out the years.
Luna turns back to Rook "Ultimately it morphed and took on a life of it's own. I eventually began using it as my pen name when I first started putting my work out because I wanted to succeed on my merit, not my name. None of my art... visual, audio, none of it, is signed with my real name. It's all That Brooklyn Bitch."
Rook nods his head in acceptance. "Scraper trying to make it on her own name. I can dig it."
"Hold up. You're Patti Smith's granddaughter. Like THE Patti Smith?" Colson chimes in.
Even though his hand was on her thigh, Luna didn't realize he was listening. "Mhm." She replies.
"That's crazy. I'm reading Just Kids right now. I didn't know they had a kid. I thought he was gay????"
Luna chuckles at his confusion. Smiling she says "Yes, yes he was gay. But yes, they did have a baby. My mom's not in the book upon my request. They had put her up for adoption and only reconnected when I was young, shortly before she died. That's how I ended up with my Mom-mom's last name. She adopted and raised me afterwards."
"Damn Babe, I'm sorry." Colson says putting his arm around her shoulder.
"No need, I'm ok.... As long as you don't ever call me Babe again, you're much more creative than that." She says with a smirk, leaning up to kiss him on the cheek.
"Word. We'll come up with something special." He says with a smile kissing her on the lips. "You ready to party?" he asks as he stands up lifting one of the dozens of shots of Patron that have magically appeared on the table. "To a great night. Great friends, and to an upcoming great year!! Let's get FUCKED up! The only thing I wanna remember from tonight..." he continues, looking down at Luna "is that tonight was the night I finally met Luna Smith, That Brooklyn Fucking Bitch!!!"
Laughing everyone cheers and slams the celebratory shot.
-----------------------------------
To be continued.... Because after dinner is the ride to the birthday party and after the birthday party is the after party.... And exactly what is up with The Girl in the Cheetah Print Coat????

The After Party is raging. The music is loud as shots are flowing. Everyone is laughing and congratulating each other.
Luna and Ashley are changing to join them when Luna notices a singular text amongst dozens. It's from an unknown number.
"Seen U 2nite little one 😛"
"This motherfucker and his burner phones." She thinks, deciding not to delete it this time in case Colson asks. She blocks the new number again and pockets her phone. Luna has a boyfriend to enjoy.
--------------------------------------------------
As soon as he sees her, Colson pulls Luna close. "I'm so fucking proud of you, Kitten. The way you and Ash changed it up was beautiful." He places his hands on the back of her head and back. Kissing her deeply. Any thoughts of Tommy disappearing.
"Thanks for including Case. She had a ball." He tells her, while still holding her.
Luna looks around to spot the little girl, goofing off with Benny and Slim. She smiles as she looks back up at him. "Of course! It wouldn't have been the same without her. Did you see what she drew?" She asks him.
"Yeah, I told you she was hella smart." He answers proudly.
"She must get it from Em." Luna teases him.
"Shut up." He laughs, kissing her again.
"Remind me to grab it before we leave, please. I wanna frame it for her."
"She's so fucking amazing." Colson thinks holding onto her as she rests in his arms.
They're interrupted by Rook. "This is for you." He tells Luna handing her a shot.
Laughing, she easily swallows it whole.
"Where's mine?" Colson complains.
"Bring your asses on then, bitches." Rook jokes.
Luna kisses Colson once more before they follow behind Rook. Luna's grandmother grabs her hand, pulling her back as Colson proceeds on.
"Oh, Luna, you and Ashley were WONDERFUL!! I love how you stripped it down. I feel like it made your message clearer to some who may not have gotten it originally." Patti praises her.
"Thanks Mom-Mom. I didn't think of it that way." She admits before asking her if she'd like another drink.
"I would!!" Joni interrupts them, laughing as she shakes her empty glass. She grabs Luna for a tight hug, making sharp pain shoot through Luna's already pounding shoulder. Pulling back from her, Joni says "You did so great, Luna Bug! I'm so proud of you." before squeezing her tight again.
Luna grins at the old nickname, hugging Joni back and thanking her. Taking the woman's glass, she says "I'll grab you a refill. 7&7?" She asks, to Joni's nod. She already knew. "Mom-Mom?" She asks before heading to the bar.
"I'm okay for the moment, Loons. Thank you though." Pattie says  before Luna makes her way off.
--------------------------------------------
Before hitting the bar, Luna stops into the bathroom. Working quickly she crushes up a few percs to bang them. Her shoulder is killing her and she knows between the happiness and hugs, it's only gonna get worse.
-------------------------------------------
"SHOTS!!!!!" Pete hollers, gathering everyone around, as Luna slips back in. "To a great show, great performance and most of all GREAT family!!!!
"CHEERS!!" They all shout as the raise their glasses. Slamming them in celebration.
--------------------------------------------
Everyone is having a good time, mixing with each other. Music and laughter floating through the room. Pete is busting it up with Kate, Colson and Rook. Benny, Baze and Slim are getting more drinks, mixing with the cast and crew. Dom and Ashley talk to Patti and Joni.
--------------------------------------------
"You girls were extraordinary!!" Patti raves at Ashley, after hugging her and Dom warmly. She had met Dom during Christmas, Ashley bringing him to Christmas Eve dinner.
"Thank you so much, Mom-Mom. You know your opinion means the world to me." Ashley beams. She has a great relationship with Luna's grandmother.
They continue talking about upcoming Nightmare performances, life and the album Ashley's working on. Patti watching adoringly as Dom gushes over his girlfriend. Delighted her girls have finally found men who seem to be deserving of them.
Luna drops off Joni's drink without interrupting the conversation. Looking around the same room, she finds Casie sitting and talking with Ashleigh. "Hey Dilla!!" She calls to her with a smile.
Casie looks up, grinning at Luna. She walks over to them and squats down as the little girl jumps into her arms full force. Both Ashleigh and Luna laugh.
"Yup. Percocets." Luna thinks, still feeling a slight throb. Yet, it's much better then it was.
"That was so much fun!" Casie exclaims. Kissing Luna on the cheek and squeezing her tight.
"I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, Dilla!!" Luna beams at her, giving her another hug. "Do you have your picture? I wanna save it for you."
"Really!! THANK YOU!!" Casie dives into her again. "I'm gonna go get it!!" The little girl shouts over her shoulder as she runs off.
Colson is watching Luna and Casie. Feeling buzzed, plus overly happy and grateful for his girls, he prepares himself. "Here goes..." He thinks walking over to Pattie.
Luna is still sitting with Ashleigh. "You guys were great!!! It was really cool for you to involve Casie." She says as she smiles at Luna.
"Thanks." Luna smiles back. "I thought it was important, since she was in the video and everything, you know?"
Ashleigh nods. She likes Luna, always has. As she watches her with Colson and Casie, getting to know her better, she likes her even more.
"I'm just glad Emma thought it was just as cool..." Luna continues.
"You guys get along well, don't you?" Ashleigh asks her.
"Oh yeah, Em's fantas...." She's interrupted by a jumping Casie.
"Here it is!!!" She proudly displays her art to Luna and Ashleigh.
Luna takes it from her, saying "I'm gonna put it in my dressing room to keep it safe." as she stands up.
"Okay!!" Casie says, trusting Luna completely. "C'mon Ash!!! I wanna show you something cool!" She tells her, pulling her out of her seat.
"Byeeee..." Both women grin at each other.
As Luna heads to her dressing room, Colson walks over to Pattie and Joni. Ashley and Dom are now over with Pete and Kate. Approaching them, Colson has butterflies in his stomach.
"Fuck.... Fuck.... Fuck.... Get it together Kells." He tries to calm himself down. He's been thinking about this for the last few days. Not knowing when he'll see Pattie again, he tells himself to "Shoot your shot."
"Hello ladies." Colson greets Patti and Joni with his boyish grin.
"How are you, Dear?" Patti asks him with a hug. He hugs Joni also as they praise the performance.
Colson blushes while thanking them but stating humbly that it was all Luna and Ashley.
This makes Patti smile. She likes Colson. Respecting him as a man, parent and an artist. Appreciating how he cares and interacts with her granddaughter and absolutely adoring Casie.
"Do mind if I speak with you for a moment, Patti?" He asks her. There's a slight tremble to his voice.
Taking her cue, Joni heads off to mingle with the other young boys.
"Is everything ok, Colson?" The older woman asks him delicately.
Cheeks flushed, he looks away as he begins to rub his hand on the back of his head. "Yes ma'am." He answers, looking back at her.
"Spit it out, Honey." Patti encourages him.
"Oh fuck. Oh fuck. Oh fuck." His mind races.
Looking around, he asks if she'd like to sit. She tells him No. That what she would like is for him to talk to her. Patti listens and watches him intensely as he begins to speak.
Her directness reminds him of Luna. "The apple doesn't fall far from that tree." The thought slipping into his mind.
"I uh, I.." Colson stutters. Closing his eyes, he musters up the same courage he found the night he met Luna.
"I love your granddaughter, Patti. I love everything about her. Her strongwill, her kindness, how she loves Casie and Casie loves her. The two of them mean everything in the world to me." He's rambling. "I know it's been a short time and you may think I'm crazy but I don't know what I would do without her. She makes me a better man and even though she doesn't need it, I have this insane urge to protect her." He sighs, looking down at the ground then back up at Patti. "I know it's Luna's choice and being who she is, I don't even know if she'll say yes or when I'll ask but...." He trails off as he inhales deeply. "I'd like to marry her one day and it's important to me how you feel about it."
Colson is nervously waiting for Patti's response. A soft smile spreads over her face. In the seven years Luna had dated and lived with Justin, he had never approached Patti in this capacity.
"When's her birthday?" She asks him. Deciding to have a bit of fun with first.
"July 16,1992." He answers without hesitating.
"What's her biggest fear?" The first was clearly too easy.
"Fame and deep sea diving." Colson states, postive of his answer. This impresses her grandmother.
"Luna's middle name?" Patti knows she hates it and tells very few.
Colson grins, feeling confident. "Adelaide."
Patti decides to dig deeper. "If she asked, would you sign a pre-nup?" Thinking of Luna's inheritance and the rights to both her and Robert's catalogs.
"No doubt." He nods his head, the thought never popping into his mind.
Patti has one last question. "What if she doesn't want to have kids? Would you be okay with that?" This one is very important.
Colson's eyes soften. "Then that's okay. We've talked about her not knowing if she wants to or not. I want you to know, I don't love your granddaughter for what she can or can't give me. I love her for who she is. All parts of her. The independence, the stubborness, the unpredictableness. All of it. Besides, we have Casie." He shrugs lightly.
Patti takes his hand and squeezes it. "She's lucky to have found you. You'll make a great partner. Whether she let's you marry her or not." She tells him kindly.
It takes a minute for it to register with Colson. Once it does, he asks Patti excitedly "Does this means what I think it means!??" Blue eyes bright.
Patti nods as Colson lifts her up for a tight hug. She's laughing when he puts her down.
"Thank you! Thank you!" He says taking both her hands before hugging her again and kissing her cheek. Promising her she has nothing to worry about. That he'll never waver from Luna's side. Married or not.
"Go get her, Kiddo." She tells him with a wink. He kisses her cheek again before asking if she needs anything.
"Go have fun." She tells him with a pleased smile. He thanks her again sincerely before going to check on. Casie.
"What was that?" Joni asks moseying over to her bestfriend.
"He just asked for my granddaughter's hand in marriage." Patti tells her with a pleased look with a mix of amusement.
"I guess chivalry isn't dead." Joni muses, spipping her cocktail, watching the next generation with hope.
Coming back from her dressing room, Luna heads over to Pete, Kate, Ashley and Dom. She doesn't see Colson walking over to them. Casie is now with her grandmother and Joni. Ashleigh is talking with Kenan as The Boys still mixing with the cast and crew.
"Yo! Tonight was epic!" Pete says. Raising his glass, he toasts "To the baddest bitches I know, changing the world one song at a time!" The five of them laugh through their "CHEERS!!"
"I'm always fucking missing out on drinks tonight!" Colson complains with a laugh as he slides his arm around Luna's waist.
"Poor Bunny." Luna leans up, barely reaching his cheek to kiss it. He gives her a boost by the ass. She then turns and grabs him a fresh Rolling Rock off the bar.
"A1, Day 1!" He laughs again while bending down to kiss her.
"So how long have you guys been together?" Kate asks Luna.
"Almost 10yrs in their minds!" Pete teases them to Luna's smirking, rolled eyes and everyone else's laughter.
"No, for real, a little over a month?" Colson answers, looking at Luna to double check.
She shrugs, "Yeah, about a that." She agrees, touching the padlock around her neck.
"Wow, you guys are really in sync with each other." Kate admires.
Luna and Colson exchange that One Look before a quick kiss. "I'm gonna check on Case, come on Pete." He coaxes his friend. Dom had already wondered off towards The Boys.
Ashley, Kate and Luna continue to talk. The bestfriends asking how Kate and Pete met. It wa by random, at a coffee shop in MidTown. Kate asks about Yellowhammer.com and their activism in AL. The girls explaining their work with the ACLU and Planned Parenthood. Kate's quit impressed. She loves how outspoken, motivated and fearless they are as young women. They continue to laugh as they get to know each other better. Ashley deciding she likes Kate. Luna already coming to the same conclusion. Kate's smart and funny. She's also really sweet and mature. Not some little kid who's going to play with their friend's heart.
"Oh, Petey!!!" It's so good to see you, Lovey!!" Patti hugs Pete as he squeezes her back tight.
"Glad you could make it, Pat!" He says with a huge smile as he leans to greet and kiss Joni too.
"How's your mother?" Pat asks him. He responds with a 'GREAT' before Pat tells him to have her call so they can have lunch soon.  Complaining how she feels like it's been ages since she's seen her friend. He agrees happily.
"Tell me about this lovely woman you have with you..." Patti changes the subject
Colson laughs as Pete turns as red as a tomato. He's saved by Casie.
"Dad can I stay the night with Ms. Patti and Ms. Joni? We're gonna have a sleep over...." She asks excitedly, looking up at the nodding women beaming down at her.
"Uh... Let's ask Luna." He tells her before calling out "BROOKLYYYN!!" into the crowded room.
His voice makes Luna smile as she turns to find him. He's with Pete, Casie, Joni and her Mom-Mom. Him and Pete are waving her and Kate over.
"Looks like girlfriend duties call!" Ashley laughs. She goes to find Dom as the other women walk over to where they're being summoned.
"Hello, how are you this evening?" Patti asks of Kate with an inviting. Before she can answer, Casie interrupts them.
"Can I spend the night, Looney!? Can I spend the night???" She's jumping up and down.
"Where at, Dilla?" She looks at Colson confused.
"Ms. Patti's. We're gonna have a slumber party with Ms. Joni!!" She explains as she's about to burst.
Colson shrugs and Patti nods when Luna looks at them. "You don't have any clothes...."
"Clothes, smlothes." Her grandmother tells her. "She can sleep in one of my old band Ts. You guys come by tomorrow with fresh clothes and we'll all go out to brunch before you leave again." Patti has it all planned out.
Luna laughs in agreeance, knowing her Mom-Mom had an ulterior motive.
"It's settled then. Why don't you collect your things and say your goodbyes while I talk to Petey." The old woman tells the little girl.
"Petey?" Casie smirks with a laugh. Skipping away she sings
🎶Petey, Petey such a little sweetie🎶
The adults laugh as Luna and Colson follow behind her. Pete going on to finish introducing Kate to Patti and Joni.
"It's an honor." Kate states in awe of the musical legends.
"Ooohhh... I like her." Joni says as they all laugh.
They enjoy polite conversation, Joni recognizing Kate from Pearl Harbor, asking what it was like to work with a young Ben Affleck. Kate laughs sliding her hand into Pete's, saying that they're good friends
Meeting up with Benny, Rook, Ashley, Dom, Slim, Ashleigh and Baze across the room, Casie tells them about her epic night plans as she kisses and hugs them all goodbye. Benny offering to walk Casie, Patti and Joni out to Luna's gratitude.
Heading back to her grandmother, Luna introduces Patti to Benny. "He's gonna walk you guys out. And I don't wanna hear it, Mom-Mom. It's late and you'll have Case with you." Knowing her grandmother's protests of independence.
Listening to her granddaughter, Patti thanks Benny for being a gentleman. Luna kisses and hugs her grandmother and aunt as Colson squeezes Casie goodbye.
They switch off. Colson hugging Patti while whispering 'Thank You' in the old rebel's ear before taking Joni's hand, thanking her for coming and kissing her lightly on the cheek. The two women are smitten by the charismatic young man.
Luna squeezes Casie, telling her to have fun and that she loves her. The little girl grins, saying she will and that she loves Luna too as she squeezes her tight again.
Standing up, Casie turns to Benny, imitating her father "WE OUT!!" she shouts. Erupting the adults into laughter again.
Luna grabs her grandmother's hand, telling her she loves her and to call if she has a problem. Patti squeezes her hand back, reassuring the young woman that they'll be fine. Admiring this new look on Luna.
As they leave, Colson leads Luna over to everyone else by the small of her back. "WE READY TO FUCKING PARTY!!! He shouts as the room erupts.
More drinks are ordered, music bumps and the laughter is contagious. Congratulations still making their rounds.
"Yo! You guys were fire!!" Slim compliments Ashley and Luna.
"Yeah, the way you guys stripped that shit down and then had us come in hard was fucking GENIUS!!" Baze agrees.
Luna and Ashley look at each other beaming.
"We couldn't done any of it without you guys. Seriously, all off you. From playing on it to producing it. This OUR baby, so THANK YOU GUYS!!" Luna lifts her glass. "To family!"
"TO FAMILY!!" They all cheers.
"I have to say, great song, phenomenal performance from you all, BUT, Case stole the show." Ashleigh laughs.
"That girl is smart as a whip!" Benny agrees. "You got your hands full Kells!" He laughs.
"FACTS!!" Rook chimes in, nudging Luna. "You ready for a crazy pre-teen because she's coming our way soon."
Colson overhears them. "That motherfucker better not scare her away." Thinking how he jumped the Patti hurdle, he doesn't need an imaginary one blocking his way to Luna.
"Enh, she's a great kid." Looking at their group, she laughs, "There's not much here for her to rebel against." Rook laughs with her as Luna shrugs and continues "Plus, both Colson and I were bad ass kids. Whatever she may slide passed Emma, she's deff not getting through the two of us."
She looks over and winks at Colson who's staring at her.
"FUCK I LOVE HER." Is all he can think.
Dancing, laughing and drinking, the night carries on. Shots be downed together all over the room.
"To the two chicks I know with balls bigger than most dudes. NOT MINE THO!!" A drunken Slim laughs loudly, cheersing The Girls. Slamming another round with Luna, Ashley and Benny.
Glancing over her shoulder, Luna sees devious Colson and Pete standing in the doorway.
She walks up to them. Before she can all what they're up to, they attack her. Trapping her tiny body between they're two tall, lanky ones.
Rocking her back and forth between the two of them, they sing laughing.
🎶We got a drunken Moon Pie🎶
🎶Not gonna let her get by🎶
Drunk and shocked. With her body bouncing off of them, Luna's bursts into fits of laughter as she begs them to stop.
🎶Even when she asks why🎶
🎶Cuz she's our drunken Moon Pie🎶
They keep shaking her till their song is over. Dizzy from her weird ride, Luna clings to Colson to catch find her balance.
"You guys are fucking maniacs." She laughs, resting her face on Colson's chest. "How long you been planning that?" She asks sarcastically.
"Five WHOLE minutes." Pete tells her, scrunching his face up. "Be careful, or we'll do it again." He warns playfully, sticking his tongue out.
"Is this what I have to live with now?" Luna drops her arms from around Colson. Looking between the two of them with a miffed look on her face.
"Yup." Colson and Pete say in unison, grinning at each other.
🎶We gotta...🎶 They go to start again before she springs out of their grasps.
"Fuck you guys." She laughs, trotting away.
Pete goes to find Kate as Colson chases after Luna, scooping her up from behind. She squeals as he kisses all over the back of her neck. Both are drunk.
"Ready to go?" He asks her. It's close to 3A.
"Yeah, I gotta grab my stuff first." She agrees.
Colson rallies up the bunch while Luna runs to her dressing room. Everyone's going back to the brownstone. Including Dom & Ashley and Pete & Kate. Benny offers to take Luna's bag and Casie's poster. She thanks him with a peck on the cheek.
"WE OUT!" Colson shouts as Luna runs up and jumps onto his back. Even caught off gaurd, he catches her easily.
"HIGH HO SILVER AND AWAY!!" Luna shouts from on top of him.
"You're so fucking weird!!" He laughs as their rowdy group makes their way through the empty building.
"YOOOOOOU LOVE IT!!!" She continues to drunkenly yell. Making him laugh harder.
--------------------------------------------
Back at the brownstone, they find Cards Against Humanity. Rook puts on  music. Ashley clears off the kitchen table for Colson, Pete and Slim to start rolling joints. Luna grabs everyone beers while Ashleigh and Kate find snacks. Baze helps Dom set up the game. And Benny's searching for food on his phone. The Stay Fresh is delivering to everyone's drunken, hungry roars. They order a shit ton of wings, mozzarella sticks, cheese fries and more beer.
It doesn't take long for the food to arrive. Munching and drinking, the group passes around joints while they play the game. All of them are drunk and can hardly contain themselves.
Rook laughing hard enough, he falls out of his chair onto the floor. Luna almost losing a mozzarella stick out of her mouth from laughing at him. Colson snorting as he laughs loudly at them both. Everyone else laughing at one of the three of them.
They're so fucked up and distracted, they don't even finish the game. Hanging out, they one by two disappear. Leaving Benny asleep at the kitchen table.
Luna feels bad but Colson reassures her that he's immovable. To leave him be.
--------------------------------------------
Making out on the bed, Colson pulls away from Luna. His drunk eyes stare into hers with fear. He sometimes becomes emotionally vulnerable when he gets really wasted.
"Do you feel alright?" Luna asks, hoping to catch a smile from him. She does but it's tiny and weak as he rolls into his back. "Talk to me Colson." She shifts on her side, stroking his hair.
Staring at the ceiling, he let's out a sigh before telling her "I can't shake this Tommy thing."
"Oooohh Boy." Luna thinks. She's drunk and tired. The sun is coming up and all she really wants to do is fuck and sleep.
"What can't you shake?" She lays her head on his chest, facing him.
"Why you would cheat with him and not me." He tells her quietly.
Luna closes her eyes, trying to keep her patience with him. Sitting up, she climbs on top of him. Placing herself on his groin.
"Because when we seen each other, I was very much in love with Justin. We were still new, intimate, engaged in each..." She looks away, closing her eyes for a moment.
Head swimming from all the shots. Luna's never made it a habit of explaining herself. Drunk or not, she will for Colson though.
"His addiction sent us through spurts where he would shut me out. All of us, only hanging with people he knew wouldn't bitch about him getting high.  There were months where we shared the same bed but weren't speaking about anything relevant, let alone fucking. I hooked up with Tommy during one of those cycles. I had felt like Justin had been cheating on me for years. I was pissed and felt rejected. Tommy was an escape that paid attention to me." One solid tear slides down her cheek. He wipes it away as she continues to look at Colson.
"Fuck, that sounds so pathetic." She thinks, disappointed in herself.
"Why didn't you leave him?" He asks her the same question from last night.
Luna sighs. This one is hard. "Because whether I liked his actions or not, at one point he was my bestfriend. I think I loved him so much that I clung to the idea that maybe we could get that back." She looks away, multiple tears dropping now. "Plus, I didn't know if he could survive without me. And that wasn't worth the risk." She wipes her own tears now as she shrugs. Lightly saying, "Didn't matter though, you know. I finally snapped and he killed himself the next day while I was out." She closes her eyes to keep the tears in.
He pulls her down onto his strong chest. Stroking her hair as she silently cries into. "You know it's not your fault." Colson tries to console her.
She sniffles a "Yeah...."
"Sure it's not.... That's why his entire written last words were dedicated to telling me to fuck off.... " She thinks sadly, feeling her soul hurt. Luna will always love the brilliant man she fell in love with. Not the shell Justin had become in the end. Although Luna misses him, she misses the life he should've had more. Even if he wasn't supposed to spend it with her.
**********************************************
Colson's heart rips apart for her. "She's too fucking loyal for her own good..... He didn't fuckinug deserve her..... At all.... Fuck.... And to let her find him... That's some asshole shit." Colson thinks as he holds her tight, vowing to himself to never hurt her.
Their conversation was heavy. Neither wanting to talk anymore, nor needing to. Their bodies telling each other everything they need to know as Luna lays on Colson's chest and he strokes her hair until both their worried minds finally shut off.
