Prompt: A SteveTony Top Gun + Top Gun Maverick AU, loosely based on the relationship of Iceman and Maverick

About the prompt: The following is the rough plot we have in mind for now, but we can always tweak and change things before Areiton begins the writing process (if we win the auction). If you join the pod bid, you get to participate in the discussion for the plot–if you want! :D Steve and Tony are two naval aviators who were chosen to attend Top Gun, the elite Naval Fighter Weapons School that trains the top one percent of US Navy pilots. They don’t get along at first due to their different flying and fighting approaches, but they eventually fall in love and quietly get together–the classic enemies/rivals-to-lovers trope. 

Tony never advances past Captain because he likes to fly. Steve reluctantly does. Both of them are crushed when Ben (Peter’s uncle aka the Goose of this AU, iykyk) dies in a flying accident, especially Tony. Fast forward years and years later. Tony is still crushed about Ben’s death. Steve tells him it’s not his fault, but try telling that to Peter (the Rooster of this AU), who is the new hotshot at Top Gun. Where Rhodey just sent Tony to teach.

What the Probation AU is about? And the Westworld AU sounds amazing!

Lemme see if I can dig out the original prompt post for the probation AU. Ah, here we go! This was a podbid during last year's MTH, with the following prompt:

Loki ends up in jail because Odin has some shady businesses and decided to have Loki take the fall despite Loki not participating in the crime. But Loki was an outstanding citizen so he gets out on probation and Mobius is Loki's probation officer. He believes Loki when he says he is innocent and helps him uncover Odin's dirty secrets.

It's sure to be full of lots of mutual pining (possibly while sleeping together?), and probably a Mobius that's always wanted to do what is right but is kind of run down by the system, and fighting for Loki gives him something to believe in again.

Glad to hear you're excited by the WW AU! The latest season of that certainly sparked my interest in that again, too!
