Your eyes met❗❗
Professor Granić wants to battle❗ .
Here’s a bit of a re-visit, a redraw of sorts. More like a bit of fun amid other more stressful work. My SI Pokemon professor(’s assistant) and the two pokemon I designed in memory of my dearly departed pets!
Professor Iva with Luna (litten/glameow crossbreed) and Floki (rockruff/furfrou crossbreed)

...oh god I remember the Unovan one and the chaos that resulted from us talking about it please spread the word of the poor SIOC, the one who suffers from irrational hatred from Pokémon, except for a random Sigilyph, including their starter Sewaddle, and who has N convinced that if there is anyone that shouldn't he around Pokémon it's them for their own personal safety.
gjrjugilf
okay, so let's get this straight, because this poor, poor bitch was created due to the many nuzlockes set in the Unova region that I watched on YouTube while I was suffering from a sinus infection in May.
gist of it is
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr has unleashed me from the confines of the previous image limit.
Anyways, Professor Juniper found this poor bastard in the Pinwheel Forest while doing fieldwork. Girl was going through it, suffering from a severe Venipede poisoning...which Juniper thinks induced memory loss.
That's the explanation they're going with until the "memory loss" overstays its welcome, in which everyone (including the Nurse Joy that looked over this kid) assumes they're a runaway, since she had no Pokemon on her and they can't really find anything on her. (basically, everyone just goes hush hush for her own safety - JUST IN CASE)
Goes by Sawyer, because Monster Camp's fuckubus, Sawyer, is VERY gender.
Tumblr media
the REAL backstory is that original Sawyer (real name currently unknown) was raised within Team Plasma.
Think Whitley/Whi-two from Pokemon Adventures.
Tumblr media
of course, SI OC Sawyer doesn't know about that, because she literally JUST woke up in a way. And to go further into it, she actually DID reincarnate, just she was dormant until the Venipede poisoning brought her back in. So for a good long while, she ALWAYS felt something was off while growing up in Team Plasma, and as a result, always ended up getting punished for it.
Eventually, she saw an opening and took it, but oop - Pinwheel Forest has Venipede AND...WELL...she was certainly there for a while before Juniper found her.
Tumblr media
So Sawyer's starter is a Sewaddle that FUCKING hates her. The only reason Sewaddle sticks around is because it's free food and transportation (especially once she evolves). Too add to Sawyer's situation, Sewaddle often ruins her clothes AND absolutely fucking HATES going into the Poke Ball. So Sawyer has to carry her around.
Tumblr media
I call this "sawyer and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad trainer experience"
Featuring a Sigilyph that often stares down at her but has never once harmed her, and a Golurk that is one BUENOS DIAS MANDY away from breaking Sawyer's bones.
For the time being, Sawyer has this "aura" to her that makes a good majority of Pokemon hostile towards her - even the Nurse Joy's Audino/Chansey/whatever fucking HISSES at her. It wears off with time, and it's effectively a side effect to the SI OC's awakening creating a dissonance within the body. So until that happens, IT'S ON SIGHT.
Tumblr media
(created using this picrew)
Sawyer post Juniper encounter, after she's been cleaned up. gets hurt often and has a current boyish appearance since she effectively got clothes from Touya (I refuse to use Hilbert - he will always be Black or Touya to me).
N often runs into her and accidentally saves her from hostile Pokemon encounter. Touya is effectively the MC, but he's just doing his own thing, so Sawyer kinda shifts into MC status without meaning to.
All because N grows genuinely concerned for her wellbeing after too many hostile Pokemon encounters. And despite the fact that her Sewaddle is on sight, it EVENTUALLY does evolve into a Leavanny.
"Why do you stay, even though they hurt you?"
"Honestly? I don't know... I just...can't think of a day without them in my life."
Calling this fic, With Friends Like These. :V

croí sioc stares calmly at the man, tails almost incandescent as they move with the slightest of breeze. the fox shimmers like untouched snow. if john had meant to approach unnoticed, he has failed, if only thanks to the pokemon's ancient age and connection to this place.
"man of faces, you would do well not to linger here." his voice is brittle, like a barely frozen pond in late autumn, ice and water, cracking with low, bored amusement. "my partner does not abide unannounced visitors in his kingdom. particularly not one who has stolen his disciples from him. i would say braver than you have become but decoration, however. . ." there is a contemplative pause from the creature. "few of your kind are braver than you. beware the shedding of faces, lest you lose sight of which is yours."

Been working on a fanfic for over a year now. Not actively the whole time, really more "a lot to start, big lull, back at it again at Krispy Kreme." Anyways, in all that time, I've rewritten the intro chapter some 4 or 5 times. Still needs to be edited but I'll do that after I at least finish the first real chapter.
But I've got these big, grand ideas for it, along with a spinoff in the concept phase: an alternate timeline. However, while planning this out, cause I wanna be able to write with functional plot points and not make it up as I go, I'm looking at the CYOA system I'm using and I'm just confused. Not by the system or anything regarding the rules, but by my reaction to certain things.
People that know me personally would not describe me as prudish. When given the proper audience and a fitting segue, I have plenty of stories about some fairly unorthodox things I've done with my exes and by myself. However, when it comes time to write a scene that even tries to express love, let alone sex, I never want to.
Most people would assume that means that I'm bad at it or something because who wants to do the things they're bad at? Fair point, but I'm quite capable of writing erotica. I can go into full detail about how you should structure your sentence and which words fit best for a certain mood or how to make a sentence feel sexy, how to influence the breathing of the reader themselves and get them into it, too. Believe me, I can do that. Plenty of experience with long distance relationships and gently building anticipation over days or weeks, and that was just the foreplay to the foreplay.
It's using third person limited as a perspective in those scenes that I don't like. Maybe it's the vulnerability that the characters are sharing with each other and using the moment to keep our eyes fixed behind theirs, knowing their thoughts and feelings, that makes it feel wrong in some way. To watch, to listen, to experience it through them feels like a betrayal of their trust, this rapport we've established with them as we've journeyed together since the beginning. Who are we to invade their most intimate of moments?
I know most people would likely say, "Savo, they're not real. It doesn't matter." They might not be real but I still care about em. I want to see them happy and healthy and where they needed to be, and I'm the author that can make that happen but they're working for it just as much as I'm working to get them there. Some moments write themselves, a natural conclusion built out of what's long been established, not some Superman power of the week, but writing a character that would both draw him in and keep ahold of him long enough to stick in his life is gonna be extremely difficult and hard to justify. I can "make" them do whatever, yeah, but that's not a good story. Why is she there? Why him? What drew you in to want to spend time with this guy? What motivation would one have that would make them want to actively spend time with a guy who can't do basic math, travels around with a bunch of strange animals, and openly admits that his goal in life is to "fight (God)." He's clearly deranged, likely on some intense drugs, and possibly homicidal. This is not a safe person and alarm bells should be sounding to get away.
Without context, sounds insane. It's a Waifu Catalog-ish SIOC CYOA jumpchain that starts in Pokemon with its second stop being in Star Trek. Both similarly utopian, but much different in size, scope, and intent. Also no Pokemon in Star Trek, so gonna be tough trying to explain away one, especially if it's actively on fire, made of magma, or a sentient pile of garbage or slime. He wants to have a fistfight with Arceus because he thinks that it was Him who interfered in his Isekai and sent him to the manga version of the universe instead of the game version, resulting in him almost getting mauled to death by a group of angry Rattata. He's sworn an oath of vengeance.
Anyways, moves on to some federation colony and starts learning some math and science because what would be basic education there is guaranteed beyond college level stuff in today's day and age. It's at the school that I want him to meet his first true friend of the journey, someone hell be in and out of a relationship with for a number of years to come, failing every time until they decide to just be friends, moving on with their lives, and time passes. There's a quiet in their conversations, the knowing that that might be failing, too. They've become different people than they were before, and worry sinks like a stone into their stomachs. In some instinctive urge to put your all in just before it looks like death, they crash together one more time and it works. They've both grown and matured and become the one that the other needed, which led that sputtering ember to finally ignite a roaring blaze within their hearts.
The scene I'm worried about writing isn't gonna even happen for the next few real life YEARS at this rate, somewhere around the midway point of Arc 10 or 11 with another 7 or 8 beyond that, so the ⅔rds mark in the story, which is where it happens best because it often leads into the story's climax. Two people fall in love, bad guy learns about it, innocent partner is now a hostage and hero but fight to save their love. Those sorts of tropes.
But, again, what draws her in? What motivates her? Why does she want to be his friend? Why does he want her as a friend? Does he want friends this time around? Does he even want to try again with another potential ex? What's the point? He'll be moving on in time, so why bother putting down any roots at all?
Then again, he did just spend a year wandering the first two regions and suffered some pretty rough injuries throughout. Probably wants to take it easy and that's always best with friends. I've made really close friends over less, like a girl who worked in my office and at my old desk from before my mental break. Came in for two days straight and she was just gone. No one asked about it. Third day, she was back for only a few hours and just spent that whole time crying. Last day of the work week and she's back and still just crying at her desk. After about an hour of it, I decided that I was done hearing her cry and was gonna drag her out of this slump if I had to. I miss you, Jess.
But, again, why is she drawn to him? What is her motivator, the very thing that drives her to try him of all people? Maybe she's smart and is tutoring him? Nah, that's tired. Big dumb jock is failing a class and he gets the average looking nerdy girl as a tutor, but he's actually got a sensitive side and she falls for him but the popular girls don't like it so they bully her by pretending to be friends with her just to learn her secrets and publicly embarrass her, but she's too worried that BDJ will see her differently now and he actually still cares. Very tired formula.
I think I've got it: it's initially for selfish reasons. Not only is she smart and a bit of a geek, but she's an astrobiologist. He has living, breathing Pokemon. Also, Star Trek is just set in the future, so it's possible that maybe some Pokemon cards or games survived, especially digital copies, and she just so happens to be a fan. Basically, she's a weeb and a dude just showed up one day with a group of very real Pokemon. Dude just walked out of a literal manga and into her life.
Cool. Thanks, void. You're a good listener.

more pokémon stuff? can be related to dos, or something else!
A/N: I was considering doing a “Viridescent: Or, Tetsuki Catches A Pikachu” ficlet–and went so far as to create her, unsurprisingly, all Electric-type team but then I realized that… I have no idea what that story would be. I think I just wanted to make a Pokemon team for her.
I wanted the title to be a little misleading–IS SHE PART OF TEAM ROCKET?–but the answer to that is, no, she just honestly catches a Pikachu for herself and ends up with an Alolan Raichu. And writing a ficlet for the sake of a click-baity title seemed not so much in the spirit of the ask box.
I had briefly thought of Tetsuki being the human touchstone for one of the Electric-type Legendaries–either Raikou or Tapu Koko–and most of her new life is acting as guardian for them because otherwise this world is too… peaceful for her. And that’d be a thing because her team only has five Pokemon and people would ask, where’s your sixth? (Her team would be the following: Zebstrika, Alolan Raichu, Alolan Golem, Galvantula, and Lanturn)
But then altogether it seemed like a little much for what would end up being a milk run life for Tetsuki. Not that she doesn’t deserve a vacation given what I usually put her through…
Other than that my current Pokemon series then would be the DoS fusion and Year With The Moon which is about a different SIOC.
Although I’m not sure what to do beyond that than just bringing them up though…
Hm, I guess here’s some random ficlets from Year With The Moon?
~
Ember exhales, face tilted upward, enjoying the way her breath puffs out in a cloud. For a brief moment she entertains the idea of being a Pokemon, ready to unleash her power at a moment’s notice, before chuckling at her own thought.
Curious, Sandshrew climbs up her shoulder and chitters, nuzzling against her cheek.
She smiles, smooths a hand across her Pokemon’s back, and continues walking, head still tilted upwards. Ahead of her Clefairy skips from footprint to footprint, dancing in the trail of Ember’s brother and friends.
The sky is clear, the moon is full, the stars are bright, and tonight is a wonderful night for traveling with the people and Pokemon she loves.
Yes, this is a good night.
///
She and Misty share a tent, sleeping bags curled together for warmth, whispers exchanged in the close space between them.
It’s nice.
Ember never had many… any… girl friends in Pallet Town, more than satisfied with what she had with Ash and Gary. Daisy was more role model than peer, years ahead of them to do more than act as guide, and so there wasn’t much for her there.
Misty, it seems, had a similar yet opposite problem–too many sisters but all of them older and beyond her.
Ember curls closer, lays a gentling hand on her excited, nocturnal Pokemon, and falls asleep with a smile on her face.
///
Gary is the first awake, a decade of discipline hard to break, but the care and feeding of Pokemon is so much satisfying when they’re your own.
Brock and Misty follow soon after, gym leader lifestyle no easier to forget, while the twins trail after. They lean against each other, practically propping each other up, eyes reluctant to open even as the others tease and berate them.
Breakfast today is berries and leftover onigiri–if they keep up a good pace, they’ll be in the next town by lunchtime and can have a real meal there.
Ember recalls her sleeping Pokemon to their Pokeballs, grumbling half-heartedly at their luck, before stretching, preparing for their journey ahead.
She is happy.

oh yeah, side note, but Scarnoa exists in the same timeline as Punch Baby Akari and Brie.
They are, effectively, the same person...but have become their own separate beings through time and their environment. So if Brie and Scarnoa were to meet, they’d really wouldn’t recognize each other and, at most, they’d just ?????
(Punch Baby Akari has since lived out her lifetime, she’s in her own blurb, with her bloodline continuing with Cynthia and Dawn. :V)
anyways what I’m saying, is that I need Iono constantly bringing up Raihan and just commenting on his polydex like “have you seen that thing? who WOULDN’T be envious? But at least I got you guys! *wink wonk*”
Raihan shows up as a guest and whoops.
Anyways for japes and hilarities, due to the fact that Brie IS sponsored by a luxury brand due to the fact that her clothing is the Eldegoss and Cottonee mix, based on this Shield dex entry blurb:
Tumblr media
AND THE FACT THAT A CERAIN TEAM STAR BOSS’S FAMILY OWN’S A MAJOR APPAREL COMPANY IN PALDEA:
Tumblr media
Here’s me killing two birds with one stone, and that’s Brie’s sponsor legitimately being Ortega’s family company brand. From one fairy user to another.
vgjklerjglkefhbtf
ACTUALLY IM CRYING, BRIE ACTUALLY INSPIRED ORTEGA, BUT UNINTENTIONALLY. (she’s older than him vhrfjkhblkfb)
anyways, this brought to you by the fact that Opal bought Brie the most expensive set of clothes, of which included a turtleneck that Brie refused to remove because the fabric was SO nice, and it kept her nice and warm, and cool when she needed it...only to proceed to wade into mud, get covered in honey, curry, and get into fights with Pokemon.
The fact that the material survived the ordeal is the big reason why Ortega’s fam decided “WE NEED HER NOW”. Who else to make the most of the clothing-line’s high pricing, but Brie’s disastrous adventures? :V
(Ortega, of course, loses his fucking shit whenever he sees her battles and the like. and has the whole collection of her Galarian Pokemon Tournament journey)
(he will never admit it, but Penny knows about it because Ortega thinks he’s being sneaky on his private social media account, not knowing he and Penny are private mutuals DISASTER)
(others that are part of this timeline are USUM’s Alolan!Noa, who has adoptive dad Nanu, and a different SIOC, Sawyer, brought upon by my sinus infection suffering last May, of which is set in Black and White - she is what we would refer to as the Touko replacement, because Touko (Hilda) doesn’t exist, just Touya (Hilbert), but there’s something familiar about these two, and in many ways, Touya effectively sees himself as her older brother, SO...yeah)
(forget about whatever elaborate family tree I had when I was writing Pokemon fic like a decade ago, the new meta is the PokeNoa Verse, where aspects of my SI OCs exists within the same timeline of each other)

Also-Ran (AO3 VERSION HERE)
You know you're off to a great start in the Pokemon world when you wake up in a weird forest filled with glowing shrooms, only to find yourself being fed mashed berries by Audino's goth gf, who then promptly protects you from Vibe Check the Pokemon.
Welcome to the Galar Region. SI OC
So after months of not drawing, BEHOLD, my last drawing of the year for a fic I recently started because I JUST WANTED TO WRITE A STORY.
And I made this found family flick, with a bunch of forest Pokemon. Still a self-insert, but damn, if I’m not having any fun writing this fic (I am having the time of my life).
If you like worldbuilding and Pokemon headcanons, feel free to stop by and read!! And if you want, you can leave a comment or review, because I CRAVE THAT VALIDATION and it HAS been keeping me motivated. Like DAMN.
It’s like 2 AM and I’m just...PLEASED with this. Oh, by the way, you don’t exactly NEED to have played Sword and Shield, or even know the full plot of it...why?
Well...I’d just let you guys figure it out. ;)

personally speaking from past fanfics (and due to recent asks about Brie, from my Pokemon SIOC fic), I have no clue who the readers are gonna latch onto and yeet at Andou in terms of shipping.
Will I still be fascinated nonetheless?
Yes, because I’m gonna be honest - idk who I’ll decide to yeet at her, if this doesn’t even up having the vibes of a polycule, like my Naruto SIOC, Chouko, managed to create by just being, as the readers put it, “Best girl.”
Though, for future reference, in case the asks pop up, Andou is sixteen going on seventeen after Tanjirou’s Final Selection.
Have fun.

A Year With the Moon + what happens at Mt. Moon? (Thank you for your lovely writings! I always look forward your posts and I absolutely love the characterizations and snippets of plot you manage to convey in such a concise way)
Thanks anon! (●⌒∇⌒●)
I don’t remember something extremely significant happening at Mt. Moon–then again it’s been a LONG time since I watched the cartoon–and the temporary title “A Year With The Moon” is more a pun based on the Japanese names of the twins (Ashi is Satoshi and Ember would be Satsuki) but I do like the idea of the Clefairy and the Moon Stone resonating with her as beings not really of this world.
Fight-wise I don’t think things go very much different since Team Rocket always loses and with the addition of Gary and Ember, they’re even more outnumbered, but at the same time, they are very early in their journey and so it’s not a complete curb stomp…
I do think one of the Clefairy/Clefable chooses to go with Ember. I’m pretty sure it’s canon that Ash has aura powers and there do exist humans with psychic abilities and such… I’m not sure what Ember has. I mean, obviously, besides being an SIOC.
Ash regularly meets Legendary Pokemon that range from cryptids to gods, so Ember having some kind of abilities isn’t too far of a stretch. The Ketchum twins are both bizarre, frankly.
I guess, plot wise, it’d make more sense if Mt. Moon WAS more significant in A Year With The Moon–less because of the name, but because for Ember this is the first of her realizing she does have something else going on besides reincarnation.
And, also, maybe the Clefairy/Clefable is only her second/third Pokemon? She’s not really going full tilt on catching them all like her brother and Gary–game play wise, I personally preferred strengthening my team rather than completing the Pokedex–I think mostly she’d still be more amazed at being out in the world of Pokemon and not trapped in Pallet Town.
… yeah… sorry it’s not a ficlet, anon.
