thinking about the deeply unsurreptitious teenage boys i saw at the beach who kept looking over at me before unsurreptitiously beginning to smoke a joint. passed the teenage stoner vibe check

I know I don't talk a lot about how much I despise the series, Ragnarok, or IW, but know that's just because I don't want to give it the time of day. There are a myriad of things I disagree with and/or find downright offensive for the story as well as its characters.
It's such a shame, but it's evident that the people responsible for the "sequels" knew fuck all about the narrative they were supposed to be presenting. They ended up making shoddy remakes and I can't wrap my head around how so many people are utterly blind to it. The sheer mischaracterisation of all the characters is astounding.
They threw away years worth of highly valuable backstory and, with that, any chances of elaborating on any of the of subjects they could've addressed, just to make everybody into their miserably written comic relief. It's disgusting and shows just how little respect the new creators hold for the fanbase (and essentially, their own creations).
I applaud every single one of you who have the mental energy to write these elaborate metas pointing out what went wrong. I've got a lot to say too, but I can't bring myself to do so and acknowledge it.
I'm so grateful there are still people who understand the characters and their story, you are deeply appreciated and I love seeing you 🖤💚
(PS- in case you haven't noticed I don't hesitate to block you so called fans of the post 2013 era, so if any of you end up seeing this, stay away from my blog. You will get blocked.)

Just under 600 words written today. I'm hitting the point in the semester where I'm crashing pretty badly after having had to spend the first half of it GO GO GO, which is not great because the back half should also be GO GO GO, but my brain and my body literally cannot do it anymore. I've got tomorrow off, and I need to spend it working but I don't have to get up early about it so at least there's that.
Snippet from Of Home Near chapter 15.
Tony said abruptly, “I gotta ask you something and, you know, I am terrified to know the answer but if I don’t ask, I will wonder about it for the rest of my life and I can’t live like that.”
Steve blinked, nonplussed. “Yes?”
“Don’t say it like that.” Tony took a deep breath, blinked a couple of times, and then asked in a rush, “Did you have sex with my dad?”
Steve stared at him, too startled to reply.
Tony stared back at him, his eyes going wider and wider. “You’re not answering. Why aren’t you answering?”
Steve dug his thumb into the flesh between his brows and finally said, “You know, I’m really tempted to let this go on longer –”
“Oh my god,” Tony said, sounding more horrified than ever.
“– but the answer is no, I didn’t sleep with Howard.”
Tony slumped back against the couch, thumping the mostly-empty coffee cup against his knee. “I think you just took a decade off my life. Don’t do that.”
Steve raised his eyebrows. “What, sleep with Howard?”
“Please never say those words in that order again.”
Steve felt the corner of his mouth twitch and said gravely, “I mean, we have slept together. In the same tent.”
“I’m going to kill you, Rogers,” Tony said.
