John comes back to himself when Simon starts rocking. It's a subtle motion — no more than a centimeter or two of distance between the back and forth — but John's only seen him do it a few times, mostly when he's exhausted, hovering on the edge of sleep, or injured and hopped up on meds. 

John raises a hand.

Hesitates.

Reaches forward.

Simon jolts, but he doesn't move away as John rests his hand in the curve of Simon's shoulder blade and rubs his hand in small circles. Simon stops rocking and leans into the touch.

"Thank ye for telling me about Makarov," John murmurs. "I... I needed to know."

Finally reached a point in my transition where I pass (more than I used to at least asjglglc). One of the other patients was so confused when he learned that I share a room with a woman lmao. (The staff asked me if I prefer getting a man or a woman as a roommate and I said I don't care)

When Cynthia is away from the region on business--which is VERY OFTEN--she leaves Sinnoh League operations in the capable hands of her personal assistant and BERTHA. Bertha is experienced, wise, and has been around long enough (even before Cynthia took over) to know what needs to be done and when. Overseeing the league is no easy task, but Cynthia trusts Bertha completely to maintain peace and order.

Cynthia left AARON in charge of the League for one day--it was an emergency and Bertha was on leave--and things were mostly fine when she returned, save for the absolute whirlwind of paperwork (and an unwelcome horde of Spinarak) awaiting her in the office.

Cynthia occasionally asks LUCIAN to fill in, but he can't be bothered, and he does such a great job otherwise that Cynthia doesn't pry. Heaven forbid someone take Lucian away from his books and solitude for even a moment.

Cynthia still remembers the one, singular time that FLINT was left alone at League HQ. In the span of an hour, the hotheaded Elite almost managed to burn the entire building down. It's a long story.

In any case, all of the Elites do a fantastic job in their roles. The Sinnoh League is well-oiled, efficient, an absolute brick wall for most, so Cynthia rarely has to be around with no challengers coming through.
