And sorry, answering took so long o_O I needed to get to know Crimson a bit more myself ^_^

Some first information came up in this answered ask, but new things have unveiled themselves since then:

Turns out Crimson is reaaaally good at sniping. Jaal of course notices this and gifts them an Isharay Sniper Rifle at some point and omg it fits like a fist to the eye (or rather a bullet in the head, in this case). Jaal had something engraved into it, in shelesh (but I’m not yet sure what exaclty), and Crim was just blown away by it and drew Jaal in a big ol’ heartfelt hug. Like, best. Present. Ever!

Now one very fun thing is, when standing far away enough from opponents - they won’t engage in fighting. So sometimes it may happen that Crim takes out a complete Kett or Outlaw camp on their own, because apparently the camp inhabitants are totally chill with their patrol partners getting blown out and ragdolled across the field (or maybe it’s because I’m playing at super easy mode because I don’t have time to die over and over again xD)

So yeah, fav weapon is definitely the Isharay, closely followed be the Sandstorm Assault Rifle and the M-90 Indra.

Apart from that, Crim’s most used skills on the field are Incinerate and Overload, likely in combination for a lot of boom.

Crim also likes to take Peebee’s Remnant VI out for field trips and exploration. They called it RemnAnton Steele, or just Anton or even Tony for short, even though Peebee calls it Zap (which is cute, but, like, not a pun xD). The Crew worried a bit when they explored the huge Remnant Starship on Elaaden. Because what if something zapped Anton and reprogrammed it with old Remnant routines?! Nothing happened fortunately, but the question lingers, what if?

Profilewise I’m advancing them as Infiltrator, based on Tech and Combat. Started out as an Explorer/Jack-of-all-trades, with biotics in the mix, but then sniping became too much fun, and I respec-ed and now there's not an iota of biotics in Crim.

… That got more game-mechanical than expected, hope it wasn't to boring ;)

honey - What would your OC do if they lost a treasured possession? Imagine that there is no way this item could be replaced or bought again, that it is 100% gone forever and they can’t get it back.

alice: honestly, probably cry? she doesn’t have much that she’d react like that to, but if she lost something of her dads - yeah, she’d cry.

talisa: oh this is gonna sound cheesy as fuck, but the only thing she couldn’t bear losing is tilly - she’s already gone through losing her material possessions, so that wouldn’t really affect her too much.

pearl - What would your OC do if a natural disaster hit their home? What would they do in the aftermath?

alice: ....technically, she has gone through this, if minor earthquakes count? she has her earthquake plan down to a science, so they don’t really phase her that much unless the shaking goes just a little too long. also, the collapse, if that counts too - she kinda blue-screens for a while after coming out of the bunker because so much has changed, but she adapts quicker than she thought she would. the fact that her house is more or less in one piece - there have been some quick fixes, but it’s there - helps quite a bit.

talisa: ....i won’t count the outbreak as a natural disaster... uhm. she’s very much a “act now panic later” type - she’ll be very coolheaded during the event, helping others, cleaning up, etc, before she goes and breaks down in a quiet corner.

She disappears for a week. The deputy, the woman he loves, Rook. Joseph doesn’t entertain the idea that the Resistance might have her- she’d never allow them even half that much control over her movements- but they certainly think he has her secreted away somewhere. If only that were the case.

The last anyone has seen of her she was skirting the edge of the valley toward the mountains before she vanished. She’s always been good at that. When she doesn't want to be found then she won’t be. 

But she’s never hidden from him before.

01. What does your character’s name mean? Did you pick it for the symbolism, or did you just like the way it sounded?

I don’t know why, but I got stuck on this idea of giving my Bioware characters bird names a while back. It started when I played Origins, I think, and I had Kestrel Tabris. Then I played Inquisition and I had Maiwe Lavellan, with Maiwe being Tolkien-Sindarin for ‘gull.’ So when I replayed the OT, I realized I had to name my girl after a bird, and I thought that besides the alliteration, I really enjoyed the imagery of shrikes as these fearsome little impaling birds that no one expects big things from, but are none the less complete badasses. For Wren, it was again the alliteration that appealed to me, but I also wanted her to have a softer name, something that was sort of pretty and traditional but also... not. I like how it’s almost at odds with her personality. 

07. Is there a catchphrase or sound that they tend to make a lot (likely without being aware of it)? Not so much a catchphrase as her tendency to speak like she’s barking orders all the time, even in casual conversation. It’s like she can’t turn the part of her brain that’s military off, so it leaks into even the most intimate of conversations. She also likes to use people’s names a lot when speaking to them. It’s kind of a ‘leadership 101′ thing, where people respond better to you if you call them by their first name. 

29. What is one of the most courageous things your character has ever done for a loved one? Man, choosing in game answers are so cliche but potentially sacrificing herself on the Crucible and refusing Garrus to go with her really was the ultimate sacrifice. She very nearly did die, and she had no idea that she would return alive. Still, the lives of her friends was worth so much more to her, and it was a price she was willing to pay.

22. What kind of tattoos, piercings, birthmarks, freckles, and other such unique physical features do they have? HAH SO MANY. A light dusting of freckles across her cheeks. Single ear piercing in each ear. A tattoo resembling a cascading pattern of bits and bytes over her left eye, extending down her cheekbone, that she got in a fit of rebellion the very day she turned 18. Purple hair, another form of sticking it to her dad, but something she liked enough to maintain for the years to come. A band of dark eye make-up as a homage to Bladerunner and to her father, as her one happy memory with him is watching that movie. She’s certainly got a lot of look going on, but I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way. 

30. When it comes to the arts (music, film, theater, etc), what does your character like? Fun fact: Wren actually studied literature in university, but her tastes are pretty... low-brow, if we’re going to be polite. She likes bad reality television from the Milky Way and film noir from decades before she was torn, before humans had even discovered all the other alien species. Pulp science fiction and aggressively vintage music (at least for her time period) complete the whole thing. Oh, and Blasto. Everything Blastio. Girl has an autographed Blasto poster she keeps locked in a safe because she doesn’t dare put it up.

4.  First impression of each other? Was it love at first sight?

They first met when Wren Ryder was boarding the Nexus. In the chaos of all that had happened- Habitat 7 being nothing like anyone had expected, the Nexus itself suffering significant damage and not expecting any arks to arrive whatsoever, the kett- there wasn’t much time for love or even lust. Ryder was still adjusting to her newfound role as Pathfinder, and Kandros was trying to handle every problem that popped up, people scared and knowing that they could die soon if things didn’t change drastically. It wasn’t until they had a chance to talk later, introduce themselves and get to know one another, that there were those initial sparks of interest from both sides. That said, Ryder was a welcome sight to Kandros, though that was more for what she represented than anything to do with her physical appearance, and she was so in over her head that she barely noticed he was a turian. 

24. Any doubts about the relationship? 

In the beginning, yes. Kandros disagreed with a lot of decisions Ryder made as Pathfinder. His priority was to protect the people of the Nexus, and he saw some of her actions as going against that. There were times they butted heads, and it took some doing, but by the time of Meridian they had begun to see the other one’s viewpoint. It was slow, laborious process though, and not without its faltering steps. Finding Avitus Rix also brought unpleasant thoughts to the front of Ryder’s mind- she could die, and was that something she wanted to burden Kandros with? There were sleepless nights where she wondered if it might be more kind to break up and spare him the pain, but in the end she couldn’t do it. 

25. How much time do they spend together? Do they share their feelings, or hold things in?

They do try and spend as much time together as possible, but it can be difficult. Kandros’ duties time him to the Nexus, while Ryder’s means she travels the galaxy far and wide, solving problems and finding solutions where she can. Kandros will travel with her if he can, and she always makes sure to come back to the Nexus at least once every couple of weeks, but they rely a fair bit on email and holo communication. Unfortunately, they’re both rather emotionally reticent people, and learning how to share their feelings with each other has been another one of those long, tricky processes that they’re still working out.

F*ck off, 2020!

I considered not posting anything this year because, let's be honest, it's been probably one of the worst years of our life. But I'm not going to dwell on all the things that went wrong because we all already know them; I'm just going to send you all that big hug we all would like to give to our loved ones and my sincere best wishes for the new year.

Everything will get better. Step by step. Little by little. But I'm sure everything will get better. We’re stronger than we can even imagine.

I hope that 2021 will be easier for all of us. I wish you love, peace, a well-paid job, human rights, health, a speedy recovery if necessary, calm, HAPPINESS, and above all, I wish that all the things, all the dreams we have to postpone this damn year will finally come true.
