Been reading about underground bins in Liverpool and also how now they don't need the alleys for bins in some places they've cleaned them up and put like plants and seating in them so they can sit with their neighbours and wow I'm having intense feelings of envy. I don't know what I want more, underground bins or a clean alley lol

#the alley by my house is not wide enough to have seating and i think it's too dark for plants #(im trying to grow them in the wall of next door anyway but who knows) #(i know its bad for the walls. that's why I'm growing them in next doors wall not mine lol) #(this isnt unreasonable i swear.nextdoor is a shop not a house & they have never once attempted to maintain their wall so its falling down) #but it would be nice for someone other than me to be invested in cleaning it. it's always full of sick and abandoned kebabs #but underground bins!!! wow that would be something. rn we have a tiny bin cupboard that's only big enough for 1 home rather than 6 #no room for recycling so those have to go in the porch and one of our neighbours gets pissy about it and occasionally takes the bins lol #(it's only me and 1 other neighbour that bother to recycle) #sometimes i find them inside other ppls household waste bins(so i have to dig them out) & those bins always have rotting food so it's gross #and sometimes they just bring them indoors and arrange them to block the hallway so i can't get in my house #but underground bins??? that would be something #maybe one day one of my neighbours will join in with cleaning the alleyway. be the change you want to see lol #I've got brought one of them over to my side with plant pots in the carpark & we are now jointly responsible for the gardening #and another one started recycling and got himself a bin after i ordered myself some bins #who knows who might join me in vom clean up #it's always the ones you don't expect. my recycling & gardening buddies are 2 of our angriest neighbours and spend most of their time #when not gardening/sorting recycling starting pub fights. unexpected allies #avoided them at first as didn't want to get on their bad side but turns out that was not what i needed to be worried about #i did not intend to win their loyalty but now have to keep intervening as they are trying to fight/ threaten people for me #I'm glad we are friends but please stop calling our landlord to yell at them/insult them on my behalf #i did not ask you to do that. i think the landlord thinks I'm in on it. #how often is this happening? half the time i find out months later by chance.

Why are you an Uber Driver? - Liam Lawson x Teammate! Reader

Plot: Liam Lawson finally gets a seat in F1 signing with Audi Formula Racing in 2026 along with you the fiery new rookie, when you get a sponsor with Uber and have to shoot promos what happens?

A/N: I have taken some of these moments from Darren Levy, some of them are just random crap i've thought off! This is supposed to be short and silly and feel like your almost watching the video or like watching a tiktok compellation!

In a YouTube Video:

"Hey guys so today Liam and I are here with Audi and we are happy to announce one of our new sponsors is Uber!" you say looking at the camera a massive smile on your face.

"Today we are partnered with Uber to get you guys to your destinations" Liam adds swinging an arm around your shoulder.

"We've kindly been gifted an Audi RS E-tron GT to use as our Uber car. Its one of the fastest models in Audi and all electric its a beauty" you explain as you walk over to the car with Liam following behind you.

"Black car" Liam says pointing to the car jokingly after your detailed explanation.

"Whose driving first! Me or you?" you ask turning to him.

"Mmmm definitely you" he says before running round to the passenger side of the car and hopping in.

"Okay, so Audi have been very kind an set up a profile for us called Li/N (Liam and your name mixed) and used this awesome picture of Y/N and I" he says showing off the Uber profile that was on the phone.

"Okay, lets pick up our first person" you smile working out how to accept a ride.

"Bobby Knight, we are coming from you!" Y/N giggles excitedly pulling out the large overhead carpark they were in. She had one hand on the wheel and one hand on the gear stick. She follows the directions and eventually pulls into a quiet side street.

"Hello, for Bobby?" the man asks getting into the car flinging his briefcase the the other seat of the car.

"Oh i thought the guy was the driver. I guess you do it together ... cute" he says briefly looking up from his work phone. You took it a little slower just testing the waters, making sure before you pulled out that you knew where the destination was.

"Look, I'm going to a business meeting. Can you just make this a quick job" he sighs looking over at you. Before he can blink, your driving the car how it was built for, obviously safely and within the speed limits but still driving quicker than most Uber's would.

"Jheezus, you can drive" he says laughing a little making a chuckle come from Liam beside you.

"I mean, its my career. You'd expect me to be" she says smugly knowing that if he wasn't a fan he wouldn't actually know what she was going on about.

"Here you go sir" you say pulling up outside the building you requested and he thanked you before hopping out quickly.

"Okay lets switch" you say before it cuts to you and Liam in the opposite places in the car.

"Okay next ride we are picking up Abbey" Liam says having accepted another ride. He quickly drives there while you mess about with the radio finally connecting your phone to the Car Play. Ladbroke Grove by AJ Tracey started playing and you and Liam both started rapping and you drove through the busy streets with the window rolled down.

"Hey babes, got some mates with me yeah? Going to the Xidao Bar?" she says as she comes up to the window the was rolled down. Her and the two mates clamber into the back all squishing in.

"I love you dress, looking like fire girl" you say swinging round looking over the brunette in the middle. She blushed lightly, thanking you before both her friends start to tease her in the back.

"So you girls got a good night ahead?" you ask looking at them in the rear view mirror.

"Yeah, going pub crawling!" the blonde exclaims before whipping out a mirror and lipstick.

"Oh my gosh" the brunette in the middle exclaims her head shooting up.

"You guys are F1 drivers right?" she says looking at the both of them.

"You drive for Audi"

"Yeah!" you laugh. She asks for a picture and you offer her one once you pull up to the club, she gives you a hug and leaves with her equally confused friends.

"Switch"

"Oh my lord and jheez is that two people shaking up in that car? In the middle of the day?" Liam exclaims looking out the drivers side window, past your concentrated head. You look onwards to see what he is exactly looking at.

"Holy shit my eyes!" you cry looking at the intrusion.

"Damn that wild, he is going at it" Liam observes making you slap your hand over his eyes.

"Don't look Liam!"

"It's the middle of the god damn day Y/N its hard to miss"

"No awareness of their surroundings at all" you complain laughing along with Liam.

You reverse out the space, putting your arm round the back of Liam's seat turning the steering wheel with one hand.

"Oh for fuck sake that's going to be in one of your edits, all over tik-tok" he laughs, looking at the position you were in currently driving.

"Okay we have another ride"

"Corey?"

"This is far too nice to be an Uber car" he says getting in the back carefully as you look at the destination which was a 12 minute ride away.

"Yeah, its a company car mate, wish she was mine" you offer, while keeping your eyes on the road.

"Y/N you don't need a company car you're rich, you have an R8 and a vintage Audi at home" Liam laughs before the guys gives you both a strange look.

"Oh my god, your both F1 drivers!" he exclaims.

"That we are sir" you beam looking in the rearview at him.

"Nice race in Spain by the way!" he smiles.

"Thanks! We are both very excited!" you exclaim happy that you were having a conversation with a fan.

"So why are you guys Uber driving?" he asks.

"Well, we have a sponsor with Uber and we thought this would be a funny promo video!"

"That's pretty cool, I'll actually be in Silverstone actually" he says showing Liam his tickets.

"Ohhh, well on behalf of Audi, ill get you a paddock pass for being a 5 star customer today!" you offer and he gasps in shock.

"Thank you so much!" he exclaims before you hand him contact details for where he can get his pass from on the day of the race.

"Your welcome have a nice day" he exclaims and before you know it you and Liam have switched again and he's back to driving.

"I'm getting kind of hungry, Maccas drive through on the company card?" Liam grins cheekily making you nod vigorously. You were starving having not eaten since the morning and it was now rounding late afternoon.

You pull up to the drive threw and the voice sounds out.

"Hello, what can i get for you today" the bored yet youthful voice says behind the order board.

"Hi so I'm going to get a Medium Bic Mac meal, with chips and ermmmm I'll get a coke" he advises before looking at you. You just shove your phone in his face, asking him to say it for you.

"Anything else?"

"Yeah, erm A Garlic Mayo Wrap meal with Carrot sticks? Carrot sticks really? Who the fuck goes to a McDonalds and gets Carrot Sticks, erm and an Oasis please" Liam finishes shaking his head at you in disagreement.

"Anything else"

"Yeah a medium chips and a nugget sharebox" he informs and you look at him in shock, he just shrugs his shoulder pulling forward to the next window.

"What I'm hungry, the nuggets are to share and the chips are for you" he smiles.

You both make a little tray in the middle of the car so you can eat without being messy.

"So, on a scale of one-ten how strict are you parents" you ask after biting into your wrap and chewing the contents.

"Hmmm, well my parents have always been pretty chill! They push me when it comes to racing but other than that they are supportive but in a good way" he smiles.

"So answer the question" you comment looking at him with an 'are you fr?' attitude.

"Oh so like a two, no really that strict at all"

"What's been the best meal of you life"

"This right here with you" he smiles genuinely and you cant be sure if the cameras pick up the light blush that is grazing across your cheeks.

"This crappy McDonalds, in an expensive Audi is your best meal?" you tease back, taking a sip of your drink.

"Mmmhhh" he mumbles smiling.

"Okay, what about your favorite place in the world?"

"See this one is hard, because I move around so much as a driver. You know for most of the year I'm going from country to country driving in one of the most competitive sports. New Zealand has a special place in my heart, but at the same time England has become extremely special to me" he smiles again.

You guys finish up the food, and you end on a group of fan boys who all asked to get pictures with the both of you and the car. Liam drove down the motorway and they were all squealing like little girls by the time you dropped them outside of Stamford Bridge Stadium.

"Enjoy the match boys" you shout.

"Have you ever been to a English Premier League game? We should go. I know Mason Mount, he could get us in" you wiggle your eyebrows.

And that's how you and Liam Lawson ending up watching a Chelsea FC match very very last minute.

It’s mutually beneficial, Lily tells herself. She is neither winning nor losing.

It’s mutually beneficial, James reminds himself. He’s not got the upper hand and he’s not on his knees, either.

Well, not unless she asks him.

 But Lily has somehow convinced him to give up his Friday nights to meet her in the rooftop carpark, rain splattering, breath fogging up the windows. And he is gorgeous and giving and – it’s almost witchcraft. She has to be tricking him somehow.

 But James has somehow got her to agree to meet him in the pouring rain each week – the weather as consistent as Lily’s eleven o’clock keys turning in the ignition – his knees on the leather seats, car gently rocking.

 They have an arrangement. They’re both sick of dating apps and sweaty club hook-ups and they have mutual friends, so it seems less likely to end in news coverage. Each of them click their seatbelts in afterwards, drum their fingers on the steering wheel, and swear softly. Wanting to ask the other to come home with them. Certain it would be an imposition, pressuring – that it would cross the lines they never meant to make.

 James digs his nails into the head of the gearstick as he shifts from first to second. If it wasn’t for their fucking around, Lily could be with anyone. Someone would marry her in a second. He’s holding her back.

 Lily breathes into her hands once she’s parked and swings the creaky garden gate open. If it wasn’t for her bloody over-the-top attachment to this – whatever it is – James could have any girl he liked. Out to the pub, at birthday parties, she’s seen the way they look at him. She’s dooming him.

 But neither is selfless enough to quit. It’s addiction, in some form.

Wears northsider fully black/grey fits. Pretends he likes vaping more than he actually does. Tells ppl he carries a shank around (doesn’t). Once clicked on a link saying he’d won a trip to Tenerife and got his facebook hacked. Irish Names: Finn (not fionn, finn), Johno, Danny 

Charlie: Went to Christian Brothers with Mac. Got constantly in trouble at school for his shoes being wrong, his jumper being too tatty, not tucking in his shirt etc. Hangs around the ramparts looking for interesting trinkets and accidently got poked w/ a syringe in the process. Went swimming in a pothole once. Vapes. Does boyracing with Mac and Dennis in the empty supervalu carpark at night. Lives in one of those shabby Dublin flats that were built a bit too fast to be safe to live in. Irish Names: Oisín/Seán/Cillian

Alright I've given head in the carpark of a Macca's, behind pubs, and IN the toilets of pubs, but no it wasn't that.

You are however correct on it being indecent exposure. I was bathing in a river (AWAY FROM A ROAD) and the fucking jacks followed my tyre tracks to where I was bathing and yelled at me from the shore and then charged me with a summons when I got out of the water. Cunts.

(The constable with the sergeant was hot, though.)

Anyway I went to court and the judge thought it was more funny than anything and didn't have me pay the $2k fine since I wasn't actually "in public" and couldn't be seen from the track. I did have to pay a $50 fine for public profanity for swearing at the jacks over how bullshit the whole deal was, though.

Ok Folks, I needed some time to process all this mostly because I don't want to believe that my trip to Leicester is already coming to an end. Since I am not coming back at least until november I think I owe you some explanations and details about that trip but if you are not interested or if it's too long for you well...I will post a shorter version after this one and since it's gonna be the longest post I have ever written here I guess I will put all under a cut. ♡ PART 1 of the story because I am too dumb to put all on one post .

Read it or don't it's just has to come out of my chest not to combust of happiness with my flaming joyful heart

So let's begin with the train journey

I had my notifications on from the tigers app and twitter so even with the rubbish Wi-Fi from the Eurostar after 5 minutes into that train I was aware JvP wouldn't play that day. I was mostly angry and very upset but who knew what was coming? I think it's funny in retrospect to see in which state I was from the beginning to the end.

As you know I had already cried all day long on monday when they announced the team for tuesday premcup challenge because I knew he couldn't be playing two matches in the same week especially when he was playing as captain for ~60 minutes. Nevertheless I had hopes they would rest Ben Youngs or give jack the bench at some point. And finally the hope he would be there anyways like he always does: not only as a reserve player but mostly to support his team mates. (Yes he is an angel who knew? ) All that was before I knew about Tom Youngs’s retiring and the fact jack liked every post about it on his twitter giving me a gut feeling he would be there!

Arrived at Leicester

As soon as I jumped off the train I thought I would go to the stadium and enter the club shop to see for myself if they had goodies I would bring back home and eventually some players around because of the team run. Near the stadium there is a little park and this is now my park sorry. This is the picture I took few seconds before my phone pings with a notification.

And what a notification , I have them on for jack's tweet so I first thought it was one of his retweet and then I thought it was a joke from one of you with a fake account to cheer me up or something but no it was really him. My hands were shaking so bad and I replied asap with the most stupid answer I WAS UNDER PRESSURE OK !?

It's not every days you receive that kind of message from your hero. I could never dream of a better surprise, it's the ultimate proof that sometimes reality surpass dreams. I facts checked and apparently no one told him, he saw my original tweet himself.

After that message all seemed unreal and that I had no purpose to go to the stadium because nothing ! Had senses anymore ? Like in which universe those things happen and mostly to me ? So went to my accomodation instead but I was the head litteraly in clouds and while I was messaging everyone and pinching me to see it was real I wasn't careful and hit a tree* with my head straight into it. Yeah. It was real.

*funny fact I went that day to a pub called : the tree.

The match day (Pre match)

I couldn't sleep in prospect of this day, I was wide awake before my clock alarms obviously I was waiting for this moment for so many months so what is sleep?And now Jack was expecting me??? I had the tigers application telling me the remaining hours before the impact so it felt really weird for once to know I would be attending the match and watch it LIVE. How awesome-incredible is that ? Living a pure dream.

Before the match we had planned a little meet up at the costa near the stadium to be able to wait for the players near the carpark. I met @thechaoticrugbyfangirl for the first time at the train station, it felt just so natural and easy. It was such a BEAUTIFUL sunny day but so hot we all ended up with sunburns ! We met @hold-to-love and @fordfarrell the sweetest people on heart ♡ and Vic even complimented my lipstick 😍. I had a froggo for the first time ever because Vic did bring somes and a kitkat muffin to play with my blood sugar levels but it was delicious. Our poor @ledemidouverture who had so many problems with her train finally joined us to make it all complete! I felt really blessed to meet them but I was a bit tensed and a bit stressed to miss jackjack + I was melting under the sun making me insecure about my look and all. Everyone was so lovely with me tho and really comprehensives , it was all light and refreshing! ♡ a real little family gathering to be honnest with you.

After that exceptionally good meet up , we went to the carpark waiting and unfortunately at some point Katie had to leave to join her family. We saw Archie Vanes and Jacob Cusick going in and out as Little Tigers Cubs and even the wife of Nemani Nadolo while Vic were with us having a good chat ♡ . We reached a new melting point when we saw bristol team arriving ! It was so impressive to see them that close. We then saw that bristol and tigers players were already on the pitch or at least one : George. You can't go to the MWoods part of the stands without climbing around the part where the coach and staff are sitting so I locked eyes with sir kev at one point, who was just looking at me like: what are you doing so close? Sssssooorrry.

We decided to enter after a goodbye to Vic. The bag check was absolutely ridiculous but the turnstile didn't wanted me to pass and they all laughed at me because apparently I just didn't went quickly enough into it and got stuck for that reason which don't really happens often apparently.

We then went to a spot in the middle and on the right part of MWoods where we were just behind the pitch, so close you could smell / see everything. The sunny grass , the sweat dropping on players , the little wind with their races. I was so chuffed to see all that with my own eyes and so close but was a bit stressed to already have missed my first chance to approach Jack. I spotted George and Freddie first because without my glasses they were the easiest to spot. I could just find George even in the dark with just the way he walks. Just few minutes after we had the pure delight and surprise to see EVERY players were doing the actual warm up. Nat spotted jack one second before me on the pitch ...and unfortunately for my friends at that point I had given up on all dignity and just straight up shouted and jumped : JACK Jaaaaack (he doesn't know his own firstname just so you know) JVPPPppp.... (oh ?) He waved at me 🙌🏼

He did that yes. @thechaoticrugbyfangirl and @ledemidouverture can comfirm. Sssssoooo sorry it was so shameful to shout that way but he noticed me and it's important for the next part because he remembered where I was standing. It was a little wave and like a little approvement sign like oh ok you are there then mh. Acknowledgement from his part that what we agreed on the day just before. To met for the delivery of the gifts.

“I’m-” Gerry goes to protest but cuts himself off when he hears Nemo sigh, “It’s not that bad,” He offers up

“Just let me look?” Nemo sighs again, “Please?”

“You don’t-” Gerry sighs and then winces and he looks down and finds Nemo looking up at him and then Nemo pushes him.

Or more gives a light shove that can be taken as a suggestion of a push and Gerry goes along with it until he feels the back of his legs hit a short wall enclosing a pub carpark and he sits. (Thankfully it’s early enough in the evening and middle of the week so there’s few prying, drunken eyes in the encroaching twilight) 

As he sits he feels whatever reserves of adrenaline that he’s been running on fade off and actually things ache a lot more than he thought and his shoulders sag as actually he is kind of tired now you mention it. 

Nemo’s touch is gentle, their fingertips are colder than they should be but Gerry finds that he doesn’t really mind (Is that weird?). Nemo’s touch is barely there as they gingerly turn his head and Gerry follows without question. 

Gerry swallows as Nemo’s thumb just brushes under his bottom lip and gently manipulates his labret. “It’s… fine,” Nemo swallows, “Your piercing is fine, might want to clean it when you get home,”

Gerry nods, Nemo’s ghost of a touch shifts upwards and he winces. 

“Sorry,” Nemo mumbles as they draw their touch away for a moment.

“It’s fine,” Gerry reassures and Nemo continues to check. 

“It… looks worse than it is actually,” Nemo gently pulls on delicate skin and Gerry feels the slight sting on over sensitive flesh, “Lips always bleed a lot,”

Gerry mumbles something in agreement that Nemo assumes is meant to be taken as a ‘I know’ 

“No stitches?” 

“I think so,” 

“Good,” Gerry sighs and then snorts, “I think I’ve started running out of excuses for when I end up in A and E,” 

Nemo’s eyes widen in concern and Gerry shrugs he would throw a disarming smile into the mix but that would hurt, “That’s only happened a few times, honest,” 

Nemo catches their lip but seems to accept his claims, silence between them that somehow isn’t as awkward as it could be as Nemo gives a few last checks. Long enough that Gerry’s thoughts start to wander. 

He’s been touched before.

He’s been touched like this before. But also he hasn’t.

He’s had the hands of a good samaritan touch him with panicked gentle concern, the hands of a nurse touch him with clinical, detached gentleness. And those have been enough to seemingly make his chest ache as some needy part of him will take whatever it can take that can pass as affection. 

This however, is as if that needy part of him has just been presented with a feast and is gorging itself silly. The brush of Nemo’s fingertips could feed him for a week but still leave him starving. 

But it’s not just the touch is it?

It’s not about how gentle Nemo’s hands were, is it? The others were gentle too. Handled him with care to help heal his hurt both duty bound for various reasons. Nemo also seemingly just as duty bound. 

He’s…

Before he can contemplate further he hears Nemo clear their throat and it snaps him back to reality, back to the dull ache of his split lip and the texture of brick under his palm and the way something in him protests the fact Nemo’s hands are no longer on him. 

“Yeah you’re fine, just clean it up when you get a chance,” Gerry nods. 

“So…” 

“So?” 

“I… kind of want chips?”

Gerry snorts, “Chips?” “Yeah,” Nemo snorts, “I’m hungry, guess running for your life works up an appetite?”

“Yeah, it kinda does,” Gerry chuckles and debates adding a ‘you’ll get used to it’ but realises… actually so instead

am just chilling atm... time to do a progress report on my latest/newest/2dayold city

here’s some industrial estate:

if i play CS tonight, i’m gonna remove the ground smog with Hide It, and turn the elongated roundabout on the right into a ... i think it’s called a single point urban intersection? i thought about it for a while and i realised we have one under a road here too! and it gets clogged af during peak hour lol. but some traffic problems is fun in CS. if your traffic is too good... well, i get bored lol because there’s nothing to fix

anyway, up in the Hills (that suburb up there ^ is called Bottom) this is one of those new estates where every fucking apartment looks the same:

i was playing with/learning how to use the forest brush tool, so i put a whole lot of flowers in the roundabout :D 

(nb to self: i wanna try find a wide one way one lane road for roundabouts with no road markings... the cobblestone road i have there ^ atm is ugly because the cobbles can’t go all the way around. or at least i don’t think so...)

like, in previous cities (i think this is my 19th city?) i’d gotten pretty good at having good traffic flow, so this time i’m trying to make it harder for myself by doing a more realistic city where the station IS in the middle of the city, and then i’ll see if i can sort out the congestion

Smiffina Episodes - Episode 344

Usual rules - no Smithy but it's an important reason it's included so...

Gina is amused by a bet between Dan/Area Car/Roger and Honey/Normal Police Car/Laura. June thinks it's a bad idea but Gina points out it's making them work harder to get better quality arrests, how can there be a down side?

Amanda approaches and asks Gina to make a written explanation about why she's over budget on the overtime for the first quarter of the year (You know, in no particular order, permanently being an officer down on the streets because Yvonne was station bound, Losing Honey to be a longterm FLO and then Honey quitting (at first) and going on the run with her murderer husband, Only having half a station due to a rogue PCSO 'teaching them a lesson' and losing Andrea (and Marilyn and Ken for civililian staff/CID too) to it and Smithy being signed off sick due to his injuries, Amber and Leela being away for a few days for a driving course, Funerals to attend so cover needed for various officers, Gina's treatment meaning Smithy was occasionally working doubles any of these and more on top of the usual overstretched and underfunded issues surrounding a police station. take your pick, Amanda!)

Roger is lamenting agreeing to the bet after it starts to be a quiet day, he's worried he's going to have to fork out for the beer and curries with Dan. ... and then a call comes in. I had to gif it, i couldn't not for Dan's adorable reaction <3

Amanda chases up the report and Gina makes a quick escape to go out with the troops, telling June to tell Prosser if she asks that she's doing it for her benefit before she ends up chinning her.

Unfortunately Amanda is in the CAD room and overhears the commentary about The Bet - she's not impressed.

Gina and the girls attend a shout at a pub where Dan and Roger are already in the carpark. After they've all dealt with it, the new landlord thanks them and offers them a free drink. As it's time to knock off, and get changed back at the station Gina agrees, allowing the girls and Dan half a lager and herself and Roger are on the orange juice as they are driving, they enjoy them in a quiet back room out of the gaze of the public and try to decide a winner in the bet. Arrest wise it's all tie - but Gina decides Roger and Dan had an advantage with the area car so she decides the girls are the winners!

Back at the station they arrive to get changed - and told off by June until she sees Gina with them. June can smell the alcohol and so Gina explains what happened before they go change. Amanda asks June about the bet and June tells her Gina thought it a good motivational idea and that they're all in high spirits. Amanda looks down the corridor at them all laughing and says it looks like they've been at the spirits... she gathers from that and June's silence that they have! (Seriously how hard would it have been to say 'haha ma'am' and walk off? Especially as she knows Amanda has a knife in Gina's back!)
