Omg another thought I had today was about the kind of unrevealed chaotic stupid of Dylan and Ryan you can only kind of see hints of. I think max and Laura are the “we think better together” couple and Dylan and Ryan will be the opposite. Brain cells of the same magnetic polarity couple.

Dylan wants to amputate nick’s leg & screams for his hand amputation the second he gets bit. At this point he doesn’t KNOW he’s in a monster movie. He thinks he is, and he’s right, but he doesn’t know that, he’s just demanding his hand be cut off bc he’s the first to leap to werewolves.

The thing is tho that Ryan DOES IT. he knows just as much as Dylan does and buys into it even less at this point but in the chaos and the panic he just does it anyway.

They’re both….. and I say this fondly…. idiots

I’m not saying that I forgive the Hacketts’ approach to handling lycanthrope, and I also don’t begrudge Laura her vigilantism, but it is pretty sad to have to kill Chris for a happy ending when he’s the only werewolf in the game that we see actually locking himself up.

Like, he was shut safely away munching on mutton til Laura decided to bust the locks. He was sitting quietly up in the attic while all the drama was going down for most of the story. The man didn’t ask for this, he’s just trying to stay indoors and trouble keeps coming to him.

Slight The Quarry Spoilers

I watched The Quarry on Youtube (don’t have the right game system to play myself, and suck at quick time events), and I really liked it. Laura’s my favorite, she looks and acts SO much like my sister I had to check the credits it wasn’t her at the end.

That said, Sheriff Travis is terrible at communicating and could have avoided the whole problem with Laura and Max if he had just pointed at his name tag and said, “I’m sorry, Chris Hackett is my brother and he’s feeling under the weather tonight. He’ll feel better in the morning. Please come back then.” They might have believed that more, and actually followed his advice. 

And even if they DID still end up in that jail cell, he had two whole months to tell them about Silas, and so when Laura and Max broke out she might have gone for the right target. 

I don’t know, it’s just something on my mind.
