Design; 6/10 - while I love the goober, he is still slightly unsettling. I really like the expressiveness his little lip flap along with his ears give him, but other than that he's just an orange blob. Lots of children's characters suffer from a trait I've named tinypupilbigeye syndrome, and small is not exempt from this.

Effectiveness/Purpose; 9/10 - (I've never watched this show, feel free to correct me in comments or rbs :] )

Small seems to be designed for the one sole purpose of being the chaotic "source of the issue" character in big and small, directly in contrast to big's gentle demeanor. I'm sure all of you have seen the

toothpaste incident

and that is just an example of his behavior. I did play the game and can confirm he acts like that for most of it. Anyways he pulls off the demonic gremlin swag very well and is great character writing (from what I've seen)

Hi! Sorry 'bout the Homestuck, this is my main - but you seem really chill, so I thought I'd ask you a quick question...do you have any tips for starting one of these blogs? I'm just starting a (Legendary-focused) Pokemon ask/headcanon blog, and I don't really know what to do haha. Thank you so much :)

I was gonna answer this privately but then I realized it is fun information to have, and I'm amused that I am considered someone worth asking for advice in anything.

Honestly, I just researched a lot of other blogs in this type. Particularly looking at their About posts. Then I just made the side blog and grabbed a generic pokemon banner and icon (A creative commons use banner from google, and a pride ball one from tumblr that the owner said anyone could use), and then made an about page. I gave my persona for this a small backstory, as almost all is-the-video-cute blogs had some history in caring for the creatures they post about. Other than that my persona for this blog is just... Me. Pengu. With my pokemon ajksdngjsdfg. But you can absolutely design a whole character around it! I think that's fun.

A legendary focused pokemon ask blog sounds awesome. It's kind of hard to review stuff about legendaries for these since most people in the pokemon world would just go "what is that thing how did you get it I am afraid of you". But if you make a blog where your persona is a legendary focused researcher, than that's super cool!!

I also started circulating my blog by just. Going through the pokemon tag on tumblr, finding any cute art or gifs or videos, and then commenting on them! My first big bout of followers came from reblogging from someone I didn't even realize was a popular pokemon person njnsjngasdkjg. I also like doing that to just, share art I like.

Also. Turn on asks and submissions. That's not on by default and it took me way too long to realize that ajfkngsdjfng.

These aren't shoujo either but the Royal tutor, shounen maid and horimiya are anime on the softer side if you want them as a palette cleanser

Design; 9/10 - OMG ITS A MCDONALDS APPLE PIE!! freshly baked good boy. The little apple covering its eyes I'm just AUGH cause it matches applin!! the little paws. Just a baby dragon who got baked into a pie. Also it's still apple shaped with leaves on the top!! That's really cool!

Purpose/Effectiveness; 10/10 - as a grass/dragon type, I think it works really well. I'm not good with pokemon stats so i cant speak on that but I think the design conveys the typing really well. The apple motif is obviously grass, and the little lizard parts gives it the dragon it needs. Anyways it's my new favorite dragon type thank you for showing it to me :)

Overall; 9.5/10 - the cooler flapple.
