Denominations were a mistake. They separate Christians from one another and divide the church.

Once God has spoken, there is nothing and no one else who can stop it. It is impossible for any man, principality, or ruler to try and reverse what God has said over anyone's life. There is no such thing recorded in the Scriptures. Every time God spoke, it was final and there was nothing to change it. Whether people were happy with it or not, they could not rise to say anything against God that could stand. This is why, when we think of salvation and all of God's promises, we should jump for joy, because we know that God meant what He said and He has no intention of reversing it. When God spoke of salvation, He meant that it would be eternal and it would be irreversible. Any person who repents and calls upon the name of the LORD Jesus Christ and makes God his or her refuge is eternally saved. Whether the world likes it or not, there is nothing they can do to change it, because God Almighty has the final say.
Every book in the Holy Bible is written under the inspiration of God and His Holy Spirit. What was written has been written under the approval of God and cannot be reversed. When you read the Holy Bible and you become exposed to your freedom in Christ and your identity as a child of God, it should compel you to jump up in joy and rejoicing and to live boldly, because God said what He said and He meant what He said. The Word of God can serve as a mirror in our hearts, exposing our innermost thoughts and revealing to us the things in our lives that we need to discard in order to grow spiritually. Jesus Christ and His Holy Word and Spirit is able to counter every curse, every chain, and every form of bondage. It is alive not only in writing, but also in all spiritually reborn Christians, transforming our hearts and lives day in and day out. This is why the Christian life is a life of transformation. There is nothing and no one else who can make us grow spiritually except for God and His Holy Word and Spirit. This is why we are called new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:7), because He transforms us from being people of sin to being children of God, ever-righteous and ever-glorious in Him.
Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for rescuing us from our destructive ways, and setting our feet on His path. Thank Him for lighting and guiding our steps and tending to the road ahead of us. May He help us to seek Him daily as we make this journey, so that we may not stray from Him and wander into ruin and destruction. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for easing our burdens and granting us the rest found in His mercy and forgiveness. May He teach us to walk in His gentleness and grace. Thank Him for providing us the strength to serve Him and for carrying the weight that should have been ours, all in His gracious name. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for faithfully staying with us in all times and places. We have not always sought Him and His guidance, yet He has continuously shown us the way back to Him. May He guide everything that we say and do, and show us the way no matter where He may lead us.
May He empower us by His Holy Word and Spirit to live in the light of His Truth, love grace. May our healing and transformation glorify His name and Kingdom of Heaven and reveal who He truly is to others. May He help us to keep close to Him, so that we may endure until He fully sets us free and brings us to our true home in His Kingdom of Heaven. Thank Him for His Holy Word and Spirit. Thank Him for revealing the Truth of Him and His holiness. May He help us to hold close to Him just as He holds close to us, so that we may live in humble and faithful obedience. If we stray from Him and His path, may He use His Holy Word and Spirit to bring us close to Him once again. May He help us daily to trust fully in Him and His love, provision and care. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for making us anew! May He complete His renewing work in us, ridding us of the sinful words, thoughts and actions that aren’t from Him, so that we may reflect only His love and light and presence in us to this dark and fallen world and the lost souls within it.
God is our Heavenly Father, our Creator and our guide. And Jesus Christ is our LORD and Savior and King. As Christians, we trust Him wholeheartedly and we submit our heart and our lives into His skilled hands. May He shape us according to His design and plan for us, so that we may stand strong in the firing furnace and emerge revealing His craftsmanship as He prepares us serve Him on Earth and in His Kingdom of Heaven according to His Holy Word and will. May He give us the peace and endurance we need each day, and may He use this time to help us grow in His wisdom and strength and to grow in our walk and relationship with Him. May He make us more into the person that He not only created us to us to be, but called us to be from the very beginning.
Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for securing a place for all true Christian believers as followers of Christ and spiritually reborn children of God in His eternal Kingdom. Each day, the sun rises and its light and warmth, and the Holy Bible gives us a glimpse of the promised eternity to come. May we continue to walk in the love and light of Christ with our heads held high and our eyes on the finish line. May we lead others to His Gospel Truth and to His light as well throughout this journey with Him. Let us all humble ourselves before God daily, asking Him to forgive us and to strength and teach us to view life through the lens of God and His promises. May He guard our hearts against Satan and the temptations of this world and our flesh. May He give us the peace to find full satisfaction in God and His peace and promises, so that we may live our lives daily in ways that honor and pleases Him. As we seek Him daily, may He reveal Himself to us through the words He has provided and use it to conform the desires of our heart to Him and His love and compassion and grace.
As true and spiritually reborn Christians, we love, trust and believe in Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ. We choose to keep Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ first in our hearts and lives and all other worldly desires behind us. He extends salvation to everyone, and we want to show the world the freedom, hope and peace they can have in accepting and following Him. We must ask Him to help us grow spiritually in our relationship with Him and strengthen us and the bonds of love that He has given us, so that our unity may glorify and testify to His power and goodness. Thank Him for calling us to faith and imparting us with salvation and righteousness. May He empower us to live in His will and righteousness, so that we may testify to His soul-saving power as our faith carries us past all doubt, fear, and failure. May He grant us the grace to forgive others who have wronged us, and the humility to seek forgiveness where we have caused strife. May we follow and serve God daily with love, trust, awe and wonder. May Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ strengthen our faith, lift our spirits, protect our hearts, and show us opportunities to help bring others to Him and His Gospel Truth daily. May we do this duty boldly, humbly and faithfully. Seek, follow and trust in the LORD God Almighty always! To God be all the honor and praise and glory!
We must come to Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ with sincere hearts to ask forgiveness and follow Him and His Holy Word and Spirit always. We praise Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for the mercy He bestows upon us and we are grateful for His grace and mercy and infinite blessings. By surrendering our hearts and our lives to His will, we see all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. God our refuge and our salvation and our constant provider. We lift our voices to Him in praise for His steadfast love, mercy and understanding. May Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ open our minds and hearts more and more to perceive and embrace Him and His truths. May He help us to find time to pray and read and study the Holy Bible daily and to find power in prayer, praying according to His Holy Word and will. May He help us to come to Him in true repentance and with faith in Him and His grace and merciful nature. May He give us the grace, courage and strength we need to walk with Him and do His will daily. May He teach us to watch our words when we pray to Him and to speak reverently and rightly. May we continually ask God to transform our hearts and make us faithful and humble as we walk with Him daily. We must come to Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ with honest, humble and repentant hearts. We must seek Him and His will and choose to follow Him all the days of our lives. May He help transform our hearts, help us to seek and live for Him above all else and to grow spiritually and build our faith and relationship with Him with each passing day. May He forgive our sinful nature and help us always make Him and our relationship with Him top priority.
As true and born-again Christians, we choose to walk in His righteous path and lead a life that is pleasing to Him. We desire Him and His will above anything else. We desire to walk in accordance with the love and light He has shown to us through His Holy Word and Spirit. We long for a deeper relationship with Him and a deeper fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ as well. When we fall into temptation and sin, we must turn to Him for forgiveness, strength and guidance. When believers learn to walk in accordance with God's Holy Word and Spirit, they have deeper fellowship with both God and one another. And the sin that could threaten to destroy that fellowship, if confessed (1 John 1:9), is covered in the blood of Jesus Christ and no longer a barrier between us and God. May we ask Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ to forgive us for any sins we have sinned this day or in days past. May we be faithful to Him and His Holy Word always. May He help us to walk more consistently in the light and to not neglect long to confess and forsake any sins that hinder our walk with Him. May He lead us in the direction He wants us to go so that we may seek and serve Him faithfully. God is holy and almighty and deserving of all praise honor and glory. We rejoice in Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ, knowing He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is the Alpha and the Omega (Revelation 1:8). May our hearts always be filled with thanksgiving and rejoicing. May He help us to praise Him freely and honestly like all believers who came before us. May we live a life that showcases our love and trust in Him and His Holy Word and Spirit as He uses us draw others to Him and His soul-saving Gospel Truth daily. May He continue guide, correct and protect us, so that we continue to grow in Him and not weaken and stray. May we all remain faithful to Him and to this duty and purpose He has called us to. Seek and put your faith and trust in Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ and let Him do the rest. May He humble our hearts and help us focus on following and serving Him daily and helping others with joy and happiness. We lift our voices in praise to Him for His love, mercy, peace, faithfulness and grace - For EVERYTHING!
It is vital that we remain rooted in Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ through prayer and His Holy Word and Spirit and that we live and walk as a beacon of His light and love and share and spread the Gospel Truth daily, so that the lost souls in this world can come to know Him and be saved. The more we focus on Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ, growing spiritually by building our relationship with Him, leaning on Him and His Holy Word and Spirit, the better off we will be. Thanks to this and our faith in Him, we know that everything will be alright. And we will forever be grateful to Him. As true and born-again Christians, we believe in Him and His Holy Word and we strive daily to walk in His Holy Spirit. We know though our mortal bodies should die, He will raise us up and into new and glorious bodies (The Rapture). We who are truly His and alive at His second coming will never die, and our bodies will be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, and so shall we ever be with Him in His Kingdom of Heaven forevermore (1 Corinthians 15:51-52, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). This is one of many promises given to us by God Himself. Thank God for His strength and guidance when we are faced with sin and temptation. Thank Him for His mercy and grace. Through Bible study and prayer, God reveals His wisdom and guides us to see opportunities to grow closer to Him and grow spiritually. He gives us direction to live our lives daily according to His will.
Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven (John 3:5, 14:6), the ONLY way to salvation (Acts 4:12, Ephesians 2:8-9) and He is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25-26). Jesus Christ the LORD of lords, the KING of kings, the GOD of gods (Deuteronomy 10:17, 1 Timothy 6:15, Revelation 17:14, Revelation 19:16) - He is the Living, Almighty and Everlasting God (Isaiah 9:6, Revelation 1:8, John 3:16, John 3:36, Jeremiah 10:10). There is no other God besides Him (Isaiah 45:5). We MUST humble ourselves before Him, turning our backs on false teachers, false gods and idols and our sinful ways. We MUST repent and turn back to God and recognize who He is and love Him in return for His great love for us. We MUST make God top priority everyday! May we be motivated to spread God's Holy Word and Gospel Truth to all the Earth, knowing that it is the only hope of all those lost in their sins. Let us not hold out a false hope for men to be saved without the Gospel, but instead, strive to do our part to get the Gospel out to a lost and dying world.
Leaning on Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ through prayer and His Holy Word and Spirit strengthens us and our knowledge and wisdom about God and His Gospel Truth, exposing these imposters. May God help us to seek and lean on Him daily to gain the strength, wisdom and spiritual discernment needed to expose Satan and his imposters who seek to destroy us and God's ultimate Truth. Everyday, we must remember to share Jesus Christ's Gospel Truth with the world and to thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for the grace that He poured out for us on the cross at Calvary. He has freed us from the burdens of sin and from the eternal damnation of Hell. In all we say and do, may all praise, honor and glory always be given to Him and His Kingdom of Heaven.
With renewed minds, hearts and wills, let us serve Him humbly and faithfully out of pure love and grateful rejoicing. May He remind us of His presence and to remain at peace, fully knowing that all will be well because He is always with us. Let us seek Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ today and everyday with all our heart and being, looking for His love, light and will for our lives with each step we take. Let us seek to please Him with our thoughts, words, and deeds and seek to advance His Kingdom of Heaven and His glory with our lives. Let us seek Him from a pure and humble heart, and when we so seek, we believe Him and His promise that we will find. May He help us all to be more sensitive to the teaching ministry of His Holy Word and Spirit, relying on Him and allowing Him to speak to us and guide us every step of our Christian journey.
God gave us the Holy Bible - His living and Holy Word - to let us know of Him and His abiding love and care as well as guide and prepare us for all our lives. May He help us encourage one another as we continue our walk with Him and our duty to Him daily. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for being present for all our new beginnings and all our lives. May He redirect any anxiety we feel as He provides countless opportunities for growth and change. May we humble ourselves before God always, asking Him to forgive our sins and make our hearts and lives anew through His Holy Word and Spirit. May He help us make Him and His Holy Word top priority, so we can grow spiritually and grow in our relationship with Him as we apply it to our daily lives. Thank God that we can focus on Him and everything about Him, for that is what keeps us sane and at peace. May our words and actions always be a reflection of Him and His Holy Word and Spirit and will.
May He help us to always walk in His grace and Holy Spirit, not by our own measure. May He give us the humble humility to know that our freedom and eternal salvation is found only in Him, so that His grace may sustain us, and we may never lose sight of His love and light and mercy. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for calling us to Him and to serve Him. May He equip us to do all that He has called us to do so that as He works through us, He may use us to produce fruit, to reach others, and to encourage all brothers and sisters in Christ. May He work all of these things in us and through us for His Kingdom and His glory. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for all His creation, for His miraculous ways and for everything He does and has done for us! Keep the faith and keep moving forward in your walk with Jesus! He loves us and He knows what is best for us. Seek, follow and trust in Him - Always!
Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His Holy Word and for sending His Holy Spirit so that we might have His grace, not only to awaken us and transform our hearts in our spiritual rebirth and guarantee our eternity with Him, but to also call upon Him whenever we are in need. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for all the reminders of His love and mercy and faithfulness within His Holy Word. He is bigger than any challenge or circumstance in our lives. Knowing this within our minds and our hearts, nothing can deter our faith in Him and His Truth. May we all accept Him and His eternal gift of salvation and ask that He would transform our hearts and lives according to His will and ways. Thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His Holy Spirit who saves, seals and leads us. May we always thank Father God Almighty and the LORD Jesus Christ for His almighty power and saving grace. For He is our strength, and He alone is able to save us, forgive our sins and gift us eternal salvation and entry into His Kingdom of Heaven.
May we make sure that we give our hearts and lives to God and take time to seek and praise Him and share His Truth with the world daily. May the LORD our God and Father in Heaven help us to stay diligent and obedient and help us to guard our hearts in Him and His Holy Word daily. May He help us to remain faithful and full of excitement to do our duty to Him and for His glorious return and our reunion in Heaven as well as all that awaits us there. May we never forget to thank the LORD our God and our Creator and Father in Heaven for all this and everything He does and has done for us! May we never forget who He is, nor forget who we are in Christ and that God is always with us! What a mighty God we serve! What a Savior this is! What a wonderful LORD, God, Savior and King we have in Jesus Christ! What a loving Father we have found in Almighty God! What a wonderful God we serve! His will be done!
Thanks and glory be to God! Blessed be the name of the LORD! Hallelujah and Amen!

How The Holy Bible Change Your Life?
Tumblr media
All my life, I read the Holy Bible to understand and implement the teachings in my life and understand the road map for all the believers designed by our Heavenly Father. Reading it over the years make me a profound believer in how religion is based on the Bible. On the other hand, I understand that Bible is a unique and divine book of God, and anyone can read it regardless of their background, religion, ethnicity, race, creed, color, or language.
Reading the Holy Bible would not turn any other believer into a Christian. Moreover, Christianity isn’t complete without the Bible as it is the standalone book itself that leads the believers to redemption and salvation.
How Can The Holy Bible Change Our Life?
Well, the Holy Bible is a sacred book that is to be read and acted upon. It elucidates the living Word of our Heavenly Father. After reading the divine words, we move our way to better and solidify our relationship with God, Jesus, and His Kingdom.
The following verses advocate hoy the Holy Bible can transform our lives;
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness; For His name's sake.
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me; All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord; Forever.”
                                                                                                            (Psalm 23)
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such, there is no law." This scripture shows what we have in us and teaches us how to treat others.”
(Galatians 5:22–23)
“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” This new week, you can relax, knowing that you can face anything because you have God, the ultimate source of strength.”
(Philippians 4:13)
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
(Proverbs 3:5–6)
The Incredible Power Of The Holy Bible
God sent his Spiritual Son, Jesus Christ, into this world to redeem the people. After He died and joined His Father in heaven, we have the Holy Bible and the Holy Spirit to guide us all through our path and show us the light against all sorts of darkness in this world.
Upon reading the Bible, we establish a heavenly connection with God that guides us through the anointed words. This connection changes a person's life and offers the lasting peace and comfort that no other bond and book would ever offer.
Moving further, the Holy Scripture in the Bible speaks to us and gives us the divine message that continues to empower the readers and enlighten the ways to furtherance in life.
“Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience."
                                                                                                                        (Colossians 1:11)
“And his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,”
(Ephesians 1:19 - 20)
“You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.”  But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.”
(Deuteronomy 8:17 - 18)
“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil.”
(Hebrews 2:14)
What Happens When You Read The Holy Bible? - The Final Takeaway
In the beginning, we don't understand how miraculously the Holy Bible would help and guide us to the paths of enlightenment. When we start reading the Bible and make it our daily routine, we will see ourselves finding the positive energy inside us. This energy helps us subdue the adverse effects that we can't suppress by following any other way. In a nutshell, reading, understanding, and implementing the sayings in the Bible enable us to live the divine life. It clears our hearts, minds, souls and better our perception to deal with the things and people around us.

How To Grow Your Faith In God ?
MEMORY VERSE OF THE WEEK
=========================
+ John 11:25 “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even though they die.’
=========================
VERSE OF THE DAY
========================
+ Romans 10:11 As Scripture says, 'Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.'
‭‭=========================
SUBJECT: How To Grow Your Faith In God ?
=========================
** SAY THIS BEFORE YOU READ; HERE’S SOME CHRISTIAN TRUTHS **
I AM GROWING IN FAITH
I AM STRONG
I AM BEAUTIFUL
I AM NOT WEARY
********************************
THOUGHTS:
=======================
All this week, we talked about faith and how we should have faith in God, and today, the Holy Spirit wants us to talk about how to build faith and increase our faith. It’s so many ways to increase our faith, but we have to be ready to do this and ask the Holy Spirit to help us; now, some people don’t have this problem, and some people do, but for some of us that are still struggling with this the first things we MUST do is pray.
#1 KEY IS PRAYING
PRAYER will increase our belief, prayer will help us always connect with God, and he will show us his will for our lives; a lot of us don’t trust God because we feel we are kept in the dark, but God word says this “John 15:15 I no longer call you servants because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”
We are no longer servants, but we are his friends, and he will tell us everything so it may be known to us. But in order for him to do this, we must seek him through prayer, and that’s how we connect with him; by doing this, we have a conversation with him, not just us asking and asking but us expressing how we are feeling and WAITING for a response.
Psalm 27:14: Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
#2 KEY IS WAITING
This leads us to our other key, which is WAITING; we have to wait on Jesus about everything; if we go out and do what we want, how do we expect to hear from Jesus, if we are doing what we want ,in our walk with Christ, we must wait on the shepherd to lead us; we are his sheep, waiting for his guidance, and waiting on his leadership is the best way to do it. I have found it very hard to do my own thing, knowing fully well that I haven’t asked Jesus what he wants me to do because while we wait, we are leaning on him, we are waiting on his response; this is helping us to stay focus on him and not our situation.
The Bible tells us this in
•Psalm 1:2: but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night
•Psalm 25:5, Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; all day long I wait for You.”
#3 KEY IS MEDIATING
These verses here will help us remember what we should be doing, which is mediating on the word of the Lord night and day. When we do this, the word has so much in it to build our faith because if God did it for David, don’t you think he’ll do it for you? He helped David kill Goliath, and he helped Moses lead the people out of Egypt; he allowed Gideon to be STRONG AND BRAVE , and he gave Samson back his strength! See, when we have faith in God, nothing can take that away; nothing COULD PULL OUR faith from us.
When we have a problem with anything , and we have faith all we have to do is tell our Father we have a problem believing, and he will help us. A lot of times, it’s just one situation that’s causing us to doubt, or maybe we don’t feel that God loves us enough, but God loves us so much, and all he wants to do is connect with us and help us grow in him! We can’t grow with no faith, and the word tells us that when we have NO FAITH, it’s impossible to please God!
#4 KEY IS FASTING
This is the last key, but it’s so many other ways to grow our faith , but one of the other ways to grow our faith in God is fasting; this is one ALOT people don’t like to do; they refuse to do it because they don’t want to give up food or something, and honestly, all the keys we talked about today is very powerful but this right here have to be one that will give you so many benfits, some people do the Daniel fast some people, won’t go on Social media for the day, and some will even change a habit of theirs. However, you do it , first ask God today, what can I do to fast ? Or how do you want me to fast, and he will tell you how he wants you to it and even for how long.
***Today, we talked about how to grow faith. Faith is one of those things that takes time to build, and it’s simply us letting go of the mistrust we have built or the fear we have because of things happening in our life how ever we do it we have to be ready to make room for God we can’t possibly call ourselves Christian’s or lovers of God if we have no faith him or no faith in what he’s doing for us in our life, we have to rebuke the spirit of doubt and the spirit of hindrance and delay because if we let those spirits stay and ideas, we will always be lacking only because of our faith, ask God to help you grow your faith in Him . ©Seer~ Prophetess Lee

Wayside Chapel Daily Devotional 31st October 2023
October 31
2 Timothy 2:2 2And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.
This is the principle of teaching others to teach others. As you have read through this devotional, you have had times in which the Spirit of God taught you something of great value from the Word. It became a part of your growth in Christ. You are a steward of truths you have been shown. God has entrusted you with that truth. The truth sets us free. In some way it made you a freer person.
One thing is required of stewards, faithfulness. We are to be faithful to continue to apply that truth to our lives, but also to share it with reliable people who are qualified to teach others. Freely you have received, freely give.
As you invest that truth into another person's life, he or she in turn is required to invest it in others. It is the principle we see in fruit. All fruit has seeds within it to reproduce more fruit. Have you taken the fruit but kept the seed? Then the spreading of that truth will stop with you. God uses the pyramid scheme in a holy way. The more you share and teach others to share, the greater the effect on the world, and your treasure in heaven multiplies.
In this age we have wonderful opportunities to live this passage via the media, printed material, and the internet. We can share with many times the number we could ever reach face to face. That also means we must be very careful as to what we share. Error can also be multiplied in the same manner. Trust the Word of God and the Spirit of God to guide you into all truth. Pray for direction as to what to share and how to share it, and may God bless you as you live this passage.
Consider: What has the Spirit taught me that I need to pass on to others?

The Back Burner
Our pastor spent the last 8 weeks preaching about the end times in Revelation. During the course of this series, it made me thought a lot about eternity and my own faith journey.
Looking back, I have been a Christian all my life. I grew up going to church every Sunday and for as long as I can remember, there was not once in my life that I thought about turning my back on God. I've always known myself to love God. I can still remember being a little girl, between the ages of 8 and 10, kneeling at the altar praying with my family for God to bless the new year. I became a youth leader at the age of 13. I was baptized in water at the age of 14. I received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues at the age of 17. I was a worship leader. I got married and served as a Children Ministry Director for 10 years. I just retired at the end of 2022.
In the earlier part of my life as a child, going to church was fun. My parents always made sure we wore our best to church because church was a holy place and we needed to honor God with our best. That sounded good to me because I loved wearing dresses. I got to see and play with my friends, learn Hmong hymns, and learn Bible stories.
When I became a teenager, our youth group kind of fell apart. Some got married and moved to the adult ministry. Some didn't want to come to church anymore. Some just went MIA. My group was just about to join and we had no leaders. I stepped in and volunteered to be the Youth President at the age of 13. I asked my brother Hang to help guide us since he was older and had experience leading youth ministry. I didn't know what I was doing but I knew to trust in God's doing. At this point, church started to become more busy. It was still fun but filled with roles, responsibilities, agenda, and building relationships with people. My focus shifted from learning to leading.
Into my adulthood, I left my childhood church to help my brother Hang plant a new church which would later become the church I attend now. I transitioned from youth ministry to children ministry. Big difference! I stayed leading in this role for the next 10 years teaching children about God's salvation. That would be my main focus year after year. You see, children forget about many stories in the Bible. The main story I want children to always know and remember is the story of Jesus because I encountered the love of Jesus when I was that little girl in Sunday school. To this day, I still cannot explain how or why, but as a child, I had this deep understanding of God. No, I can't read God's mind or know what his plans are, but what I mean is that I could feel it in my heart and body that He was real. I had a connection with him. That would be a testimony for another time.
As an adult, church was still fun but in a different sense. It was fun seeing our church family, kids, and visitors. It was fun teaching children and organizing different activities and events. Church was also overwhelming. Serving week after week was exhausting. Planning with different leaders can be complex. There were a lot big pieces moving at once. Sometimes, those pieces didn't move at all or it didn't go as planned. Without Jesus, it's easy to lose sight of what being a Christian is and what going to church is all about.
Today, I can say that that little seed of faith that was planted within me when I was a child has grown tremendously. The Holy Spirit has disciplined me (and continues to discipline me) a lot in the areas that I lacked. Thus far, I have learned that I am nothing without the love and mercy of God. I am still nothing without God.
The Revelation series made me thought about my history with God. My history with God brings instant tears to my eyes. I am reminded of the song "Goodness of God" by Bethel Music. Such a good song! When I look back at my younger years and faith journey, I see how much God has transformed me spiritually. I see how faithful and loving He is. He is who He says He is. (Exodus 3:14) Earlier, I said that there was not once in my life that I thought about turning my back on God and that I've always known myself to love God. This does not mean that I didn't think about quitting church, giving up, or following God on my own terms. I did! A lot. I've had moments where I was angry and disappointed at the outcome of things. Even so, those moments were not enough to make me shut him out completely. The one thing that always brought me back to my knees with tears is Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God. He is perfect. He came into this imperfect world and died on the cross for my sins. He took my place on that cross.
You see, the Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ." (Romans 6:23) I am supposed to die for my sins. I am supposed to not have an option for eternal life. But Jesus died in my place and all I have to do is surrender my all and believe in him and I have the gift of eternal life. It sounds so easy but the road to eternal life is not that simple.
The Bible teaches us in Matthew 19:23-34, "Then Jesus said to His disciples, Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." There are a lot of context behind this message and I urge you to research into it, but to shorten it, eternity is a gift that God gives because of Christ’s work. We don’t do the work that earns eternal life. Jesus did the work that earns eternal life - died on the cross and resurrected from death. And the reward that God gave Him is to give us eternal life. It’s not a reward for doing good works. Heaven isn’t the destiny of those that have lived a holy life. It’s impossible for anyone to earn salvation. But what’s impossible with man is supremely possible with God and that was His son.
After each church sermon, our pastor asks us one question "Holy Spirit, what are you teaching me in this moment?" The message that God has been constantly instilling in my heart is that eternity is real. Heaven and hell are real. The choices we make on this earth are important and affects our eternal residence.
There are many Christians who have placed God in the back burner. Do you know what that means? The term "back burner" is used to describe low priority tasks. When I'm cooking and there is a pot of food that doesn't need to be heated or cooked yet, I move it to the back burner because it is not the first priority. Or, if something needs to simmer or be on low heat, I also place them in the back burner. Do you place God in the back burner spiritually? Are there things in your life that takes precedence or top priority over God? Maybe you've put God on hold because you want to take control of your life. Maybe you're hurt and think that He can't help you. Maybe you feel that you are too busy.
Let me remind you, eternity is real. Where you will spend the rest of eternity is real. Everything on this earth is temporary. Your job, your success, your money, your fame, your assets, and your education. Keep your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). As I write this, I pray that you may be free from what is holding you back. I pray that God may be the top priority in your life. I pray that Jesus will be the grand prize you're looking for. If God is sitting on your back burner, I pray that you would have a spiritual shift today.
I share this message with you today, because I too, have placed God in the back burner before. There have been many occasions when I wanted to throw in the white towel and walk away. Doing church is too much work. Too much commitment. Too much giving of my time and money. I cannot express how heartbroken I would be if Jesus threw the white towel and said "This is too much! I can't die for Deja." I hope this message encourages you today.
I also recently read this book, "Between Two Trees," and I think you might find this one moving and uplifting. It is a bit more of a challenging read (if you don't know a lot about Genesis and Revelation), but this book has a lot of insights about Revelation and eternity. I found it to be very insightful and empowering and hope that it will be the same for you also.

“The Spirit of truth will come and guide you in all truth.”
what are you guarding in your heart?
from Paul’s Letter of 2nd Timothy:
It was not because of our deeds, but because of his own purpose and the grace which he gave to us who are united with the Messiah Yeshua. He did this before the beginning of time, but made it public only now through the appearing of our Deliverer, the Messiah Yeshua, who abolished death and, through the Good News, revealed life and immortality.
It was for this Good News that I was appointed a proclaimer, emissary and teacher of the Goyim; and this is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, because I know him in whom I have put my trust, and I am persuaded that he can keep safe until that Day what he has entrusted to me. Follow the pattern of the sound teachings you have heard from me, with trust and the love which is yours in the Messiah Yeshua. Keep safe the great treasure that has been entrusted to you, with the help of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), who lives in us.
The Letter of 2nd Timothy, Chapter 1:9-14 (Complete Jewish Bible)
Today’s reading of the Scriptures from the New Testament is the 16th chapter of the book of John:
Jesus: I am telling you all of this so that you may avoid the offenses that are coming. The time will come when they will kick you out of the synagogue because some believe God desires them to execute you as an act of faithful service. They will do this because they don’t know the Father, or else they would know Me. I’m telling you all this so that when it comes to pass you will remember what you have heard. It was not important for Me to give you this information in the beginning when I was with you. But now, I am going to the One who has sent Me, and none of you ask Me, “Where are You going?”
I know that hearing news like this is overwhelming and sad. But the truth is that My departure will be a gift that will serve you well, because if I don’t leave, the great Helper will not come to your aid. When I leave, I will send Him to you. When He arrives, He will uncover the sins of the world, expose unbelief as sin, and allow all to see their sins in the light of righteousness for the first time. This new awareness of righteousness is important because I am going to the Father and will no longer be present with you. The Spirit will also carry My judgment because the one who rules in this world has already been defeated.
I have so much more to say, but you cannot absorb it right now. The Spirit of truth will come and guide you in all truth. He will not speak His own words to you; He will speak what He hears, revealing to you the things to come and bringing glory to Me. The Spirit has unlimited access to Me, to all that I possess and know, just as everything the Father has is Mine. That is the reason I am confident He will care for My own and reveal the path to you. For a little while you will not see Me; but after that, a time will come when you will see Me again.
Some of His Disciples: What does He mean? “I’ll be here, and then I won’t be here, because I’ll be with the Father”?
Other Disciples: What is He saying? “A little while”? We don’t understand.
Jesus knew they had questions to ask of Him, so He approached them.
Jesus: Are you trying to figure out what I mean when I say you will see Me in a little while? I tell you the truth, a time is approaching when you will weep and mourn while the world is celebrating. You will grieve, but that grief will give birth to great joy. In the same way that a woman labors in great pain during childbirth only to forget the intensity of the pain when she holds her child, when I return, your labored grief will also change into a joy that cannot be stolen.
When all this transpires, you will finally have the answers you have been seeking. I tell you the truth, anything you ask of the Father in My name, He will give to you. Until this moment, you have not sought after anything in My name. Ask and you will receive so that you will be filled with joy.
I have been teaching you all of these truths through stories and metaphors, but the time is coming for Me to speak openly and directly of the Father.
The day is coming when you will make a request in My name, but I will not represent you before the Father. You will be heard directly by the Father. The Father loves you because you love Me and know that I come from the Father. I came from the Father into the cosmos, but soon I will leave it and return to the Father.
Disciples: We hear You speaking clearly and not in metaphors. How could we misunderstand? We see now that You are aware of everything and You reveal things at the proper time. So we do not need to question You, because we believe You have come from God.
Jesus: So you believe now? Be aware that a time is coming when you will be scattered like seeds. You will return to your own way, and I will be left alone. But I will not be alone, because the Father will be with Me. I have told you these things so that you will be whole and at peace. In this world, you will be plagued with times of trouble, but you need not fear; I have triumphed over this corrupt world order.
The Book of John, Chapter 16 (The Voice)
A set of notes from The Voice translation:
As Jesus warns of the mistreatment His followers can expect, He disarms fears by noting the most important things. If the Spirit is within, there is no reason to fear. In fact, the church will thrive under persecution. Yet humans are obsessed with power and political prominence as a means to influence the culture. Christian citizens have an obligation to strive for justice and freedom through the transforming power of the Spirit in people’s lives. Rather than exerting temporal power, the real work of the Kingdom often thrives under fierce attack and opposition. Jesus announces this coming persecution to His followers, believing this will lead to their finest hour.
The promise of eternity is a reminder that God’s children are made for a renewed world. There is great comfort amid fear, knowing believers will be reunited with Jesus and joined with the Father. As believers labor together in this world—enduring pain, loss, and unfulfilled desires—they should be encouraged that in eternity all needs will be fulfilled in the presence of God.
All His disciples mourn Jesus’ refusal to take His rightful place as a king and lead a revolution. Jesus knows political might, brute force, and earthly governments are not helpful tools in a battle for hearts. Spiritual revolutions are subversive. They are led by defiant acts of love (for example, healing, foot washing, and martyrdom). Laws do not change hearts, and violence induces hatred and fear. But a sincere community of faith in which love and hope are demonstrated even in the darkest hours will lead a spiritual revolution. It is time to go forward with open eyes and continue to labor as Christian citizens, placing hope only in the redemptive work of the gospel.
Today’s paired chapter of the Testaments is the 18th chapter of the book of Isaiah:
O land abuzz with the whirring of wings,
far away past the Ethiopian rivers,
With papyrus-reed boats shuttling ambassadors back and forth!
Go quickly, you messengers, to those impressive people,
Those fearsome and terrifying people so lank and smooth.
Theirs is a powerful nation divided by rivers.
All citizens of the world, every last inhabitant of the earth, pay attention!
When you see a signal raised on the mountains, look!
When the trumpets sound the alarm, listen!
Because the Eternal told me,
Eternal One: I am in control—calm and serene.
I am watching quietly from where I dwell
Just as surely as the heat shimmers in the blazing sun
and the dewy mists cool the warmth of a harvest day.
For even before the harvest begins, when the buds blossom
and the flowers make way for the ripening grapes,
God will cut back their shoots with pruning shears,
lop off and clear away the spreading branches.
He will leave the trimmings for the birds of prey
and the wild animals on the mountain.
The vultures will feed on their flesh during the summer,
and the wild animals will be nourished on their bones through the winter.
Then those terrifying peoples—the lank and smooth from far away,
from the land divided by rivers, powerful and domineering—
Will honor the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, with gifts.
These proud people will bring them to Mount Zion,
Where the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, has placed His special name.
The Book (Scroll) of Isaiah, Chapter 18 (The Voice)
A note from The Voice translation:
At times God watches “behind the scenes” quietly, calmly. But when it is the right time, God knows where and how to act. Throughout history nations rise and fall, but God is as constant as the summer heat and the cool fall breezes. Many nations such as Ethiopia look for diplomatic solutions and alliances in the face of the Assyrian threat. But Isaiah counsels them to stand back and watch, for he knows what God is about to do. Before the harvest, that is, before the armed rebellion against Assyria is set to begin, God moves in, pruning, lopping, clearing, and preparing the world for a better day.

A post by John Parsons about sacred “Breath”:
The Holy Spirit is called "Ruach HaKodesh" (רוּחַ הַקֹּדֶשׁ), the "breath of the Holy One." The Spirit is likened to our breath to indicate how intimate and essential God is to our own lives.
By ourselves we are nothing (כְּלוּם), without substance or breath, for the Lord is our Maker and the one who imparts "nishmat chayim" (נִשְׁמַת חַיִּים), the "breath of life" (Gen. 2:7). If this is true of the natural, how much more so is it of the spiritual? We are as powerless to give pulse to our natural hearts as we are to give life to our spiritual existence. How does the natural heart receive its secret pulse? What is the origin of this "spark" of life within the body? As the lower, so is the higher...
We must be reborn to be made alive in the realm of the spirit. Such rebirth originates "not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God" (John 1:13). It is the Spirit of God (רוּחַ אֱלֹהִים), the Breath of the Holy One (נשימת יהוה), that quickens us to the truth of spiritual reality. Yeshua said this life was as mysterious as the motions of the wind: "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit" (John 3:8). Just as the origin of the pulse of our physical life is a mystery to us, so is the origin of life from above. Just as we received nishmat chayim (נִשְׁמַת חַיִּים) to partake of the atmosphere of this realm, so we need receive "nishmat chayim chadashah" (נשמת חיים חדשה), a new breath of life to partake of the atmosphere of the heavenly realm of the Spirit.
The life of the Spirit of God imparts the "fruit of the Holy Spirit" (פרי רוח הקודש) that is, supernatural qualities of heart (i.e., middot ha'lev: מידות הלב) that are evidence of newness of life. These fruits are spiritual in nature, derived from the heart of God: "love, joy, peace, patience, good will," and so on (see Gal. 5:22-23). Yeshua explained that a transformed life is a miracle of God: " The Spirit is the one who gives life; human nature is of no help! The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life" (John 6:63).
If you feel breathless and filled with anxiety, ask the Father for the comfort of the Holy Spirit. "If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?" (Luke 11:13). By faith may you “receive the Holy Spirit” (John 20:22).

from yesterday’s email by Israel 365:
Being lonely is the feeling of being in an unnatural state of being alone. Coming together, whether it is as a nation or as a couple, requires divine intervention. When a couple is joined by God, their relationship is deemed fitting and holds the promise of happiness. Staying together, however, requires a superhuman effort and the combined will of both husband and wife. Connecting with God can help that happen. If we acknowledge and value the wisdom behind God’s selection, we will be more willing to put in the requisite effort to make the union last. If not, the results can be disastrous.
Today’s message (Days of Praise) from the Institute for Creation Research

Son of Man
“And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.” (Revelation 14:14)
This is the last of some 87 New Testament references (84 in the four gospels, one in Acts, none in the epistles, two in Revelation) to Christ as the Son of man. Here we see the Son of man coming on a white cloud from heaven (just as He had ascended into heaven after His resurrection) as the conquering King of all the earth.
What a contrast this is to the first New Testament reference to the Son of man. “The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head” (Matthew 8:20). From humility and poverty on Earth to power and riches in heaven, and for all eternity—this was His journey when Christ left His heavenly glory to join the human family.
In between the poverty and the power lay the whole human experience, for He “was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15). Finally, as Son of man He must die for man’s sin, for “the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again” (Luke 24:7). Even in heaven He is still the Son of man, for Stephen saw Him thus: “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God” (Acts 7:56).
There is, indeed, a great man in the glory! Christ called Himself “the Son of man” much more often than “the Son of God,” though He will eternally be both, the God/man. He delights to identify with those whom He has redeemed, for He “is not ashamed to call them brethren” (Hebrews 2:11). “Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” asked Jesus. Then we say with Peter, “Thou art...the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:13, 16). HMM

Rhapsody of Realities 27 May 2023: Knowing the Word of God
SCRIPTURE: The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. Psalm 19:8
Then we emphasize the importance of knowing the Word of God, some think we mean acquiring “Bible Knowledge” from a university or religious institution. That may have its place, but knowing the Word by revelation and guidance of the Holy Spirit is different.
There’re Bible scholars who studied Bible knowledge as a course but have no idea what the Word of God is. All scripture is God-breathed; that is, the contents and the message of the Bible came from God and are inspired by His Spirit. It’s His document of truth, and it’s trustworthy and dependable.
2 Timothy 3:16 AMPC says, “Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action).” Hebrews 4:12 further tells us something extraordinary about the Word of God. It says, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
But then, what is the Word of God? The Word is that message from God that reveals or communicates His works, will, thoughts, plans, purposes and pursuit to bring men into, or promote, fellowship with Him in love. It’s His message of truth with the content and power to build His image into the life of the hearers.
Now, the content of the Word is the embodiment of Christ’s revelations, provisions, perfections and instructions, profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction and for training in righteousness. Therefore, knowing or having the knowledge of the Word means knowing God in His thoughts about anything. You know His thoughts, opinions, ideas, and agenda; you’re looking into God’s mind or His heart about anything! What a wonder!
PRAYER: Dear Father, thank you for your Word that propels, empowers, inspires, uplifts, motivates and gives me clarity of purpose. I’m educated to know your thoughts, opinions, ideas and agenda in the earth, as your Spirit guides me into all truth, teaching me to make the right choices and decisions that are consistent with your perfect will always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
FURTHER STUDY
Psalm 19:7
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the [whole] person; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
2 Peter 1:21
21 For no prophecy ever originated because some man willed it [to do so—it never came by human impulse], but men spoke from God who were borne along (moved and impelled) by the Holy Spirit.
2 Timothy 3:14-17
14 But as for you, continue to hold to the things that you have learned and of which you are convinced, knowing from whom you learned [them],
15 And how from your childhood you have had a knowledge of and been acquainted with the sacred Writings, which are able to instruct you and give you the understanding for salvation which comes through faith in Christ Jesus [through the leaning of the entire human personality on God in Christ Jesus in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness].
16 Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action),
17 So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Hi dear brothers and sisters,
I came here to talk to you about a few topics:
1. How to seek God's help when you face family issues + Bible verses
2. How to not depend on people but God during hard times + Bible verses
Family issues are present in the lives of every human. For some they last only a few hours or days, for some they last years. It's not easy to keep on standing firm when the enemy tries to weaken our relationship with Almighty, but it's not impossible to overcome the problem. As the Scripture says ”Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
Firstly, in times of problems, seek God. Yes, you probably always hear that you should seek His Kingdom to the point that it can be viewed as boring, not important. But I am writing to you, to remind you that it is very important to include God in your relationships with other people. God is our Rock. We can only build what is stable if we use Rock. In relationships, we have to include God to make the relationship go as God wants it to. It also helps us to be sure that no matter what happens, this relationship was build while including God so it will be alright. He will guide you and your loved ones and help you when conflicts happen. He will tell you how to fix it and what to do. He will be your personal Therapist, Counsellor, Comforter and Guide, so you don't have to worry. Just like Jesus, give everything to our Father Who art in Heaven and put your trust in Him. You don't feel the need to share your problems with other people because you know that you left it in His Mighty Hands and can stay calm even in the midst of deep waters. If you struggle with it, try praying to God to increase your faith and trust in Him.
As much as hard it is, do not let your heart harden. If you notice it getting heavier, harder, pray to Almighty to take this heaviness away from you. Also, confess your sins everyday or at least every 2 days to not let it become too hard. Do not let yourself do what is wrong if someone sins against you. Instead, leave everything to the One Who is in control and will always make a way for you. You don't have to fear for He is always there to listen to all of your worries, hear your cries and comfort you, let you know that He never leaves you. He constantly works in the lives of people He created, including yours. Sometimes His presence is seen and can be felt really well, but sometimes His work is silent and that's fine too. The most important fact is that He is always there with you and for you. Let Him know that you are truly His child Who listens to Him and with the help of the Precious Holy Spirit wants to become more like Jesus. Let your actions speak for you and make others see whose servant you are. Show other people respect and love even it can be really hard, especially on some days when we're going through a hard time and are easily irritated. In moments like these, cast all your feelings on the One Who truly cares about you and is always ready to help you and be the source of your Strength. Trust in His words and believe that it's truly better to fight the evil while being good to others, even the ones who disrespect and discredit you.
Look at the perfect example of Jesus. Jesus was rejected by many, a lot of people wanted Him to die for saying things they didn't believe for they were blinded. There were times when He was teaching the crowd about the Kingdom of God and revealing that He is the Messaiah, some people were on His side but there was also a lot of people who started to yell that He should be crucified. What did He do? He was finding His identity in God over and over again by turning to Him. In God was laid His strength.
How do we not depend on people's words and stop seeking guidence from them? Get closer to God. Worship Him more by using your talents and obeying His Holy will, pray to guide you and continue being with you. Read the Word of His more often and let Him speak to you through your thoughts, dreams, visions and the Holy Bible. How do we let Him speak to us through these things? We simply have to ask Him to do this, believe that He will answer us and then we will get to know what He wants to tell us. I also recommend you.
There are some Bible verses:
”¹⁹ For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, ²⁰ and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” (Colossians 1:19-20)
”⁶ So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, ⁷ rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. ⁸ See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ. ⁹ For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, ¹⁰ and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority. ¹¹ In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, ¹² having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. ¹³ When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, ¹⁴ having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. ¹⁵ And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” (Colossians 2:6-15)
”¹ Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. ² Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. ³ For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. ⁵ Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. ⁶ Because of these, the wrath of God is coming⁷ You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. ⁸ But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. ⁹ Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices ¹⁰ and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.” (Colossians 3:1-10)
”¹² Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. ¹³ Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. ¹⁴ And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. ¹⁵ Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. ¹⁶ Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. ¹⁷ And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:12-17)
”²³ Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, ²⁴ since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. ²⁵ Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for their wrongs, and there is no favoritism. (Colossians 3:23-25)
“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.” (Exodus 20:12)

Should we scour the whole face of the Earth and cross all barriers of time to search through all the years of human history, in search of a righteous man, we should find none except for the man Christ Jesus.
Both Jews and Gentiles of every nation are fallen and sunk in sin to the point that there is "none who seeks after God" (verse 11). We cannot trust in the merits of mere men or in our own righteousness to be declared just in the courtroom of God.
God has given us rules to live by in His Word - the Holy Bible - that will bring us peace and happiness in our lives if we only are willing to follow them. Begin and end your days by seeking Him in prayer and His Holy Word and walking in His Holy Spirit and its fruits and exalting His holy name! Keep the faith and keep moving forward in your faith with Jesus! May the LORD help us to be faithful to His will and Holy Word. May we never forget to thank Him for all this and everything He does and has done for us! May we never forget who He is, nor forget who we are in Christ and that God is always with us! What a wonderful Lord, God, Savior and King we have in Jesus Christ! What a loving Father we have found in the Almighty God! What a wonderful God we serve! His will be done!
Thanks and glory be to God! Blessed be the name of the LORD! Hallelujah and Amen!
Father God Almighty, Lord Jesus, help us to feel the force of that statement, "There is none righteous, no not one". Let us not think of it lightly, as if it meant, "No one's perfect, but that's no big problem after all". Far from it!
Our sinful state required the blood of You dear, only begotten Son Jesus Christ before we could be made righteous in Him. Teach us, we pray, to not only walk in Your righteous ways, but to trust our eternity to a righteousness not our own. I have come to the understanding that my circumstances aren’t what determines whether I am righteous or not.
Thank you, Lord, that in the moments where I fall, You are there to help me stand up and move forward. I thank you for giving me strength when I grow weary. I praise You for Your love and mercy, for Your wisdom and understanding.
You are faithful to me in all Your dealings. Your love and Your strength endure forever (Psalm 118, 136). Let us never doubt Your love, mercy and promises to us nor Your power and might, for You are God above all whose will and might cannot be thwarted and defeated by mere mortals or anyone!
You are all-powerful! You are sovereign and in control. There is nothing You cannot do. Your strength knows no limits. You protect Your children and fight for them daily. We know that You and Your Holy Spirit are at work in every believers' heart and life. We know that You take things found in Holy Scripture and show them to us and form the nature of Christ within us.
We ask in joy for what we know You will grant, that our fellowship with You and with one another will grow and increase by Your power and grace, as we faithfully lean on You and Your Word and apply its truths to our lives. Fill us with fear and wonder when we seek Your face. Draw us into Your Holy Word where we can read about Your awe-inspiring power and nature. Guide us with the love that You have for us. Help us to do Your will in all things. Help us to all be one in You daily. Help us so we may us remember all You've done and still do for us and take joy in the truths, promises, blessings and life You have given us.
We are in awe of You, O Lord. No one and nothing compares to Your might and majesty. May we live a life of humble service and praise for You and Your Kingdom, my LORD, my God, my Savior and my King!
May we seek You and Your Holy Word as well as the peace and all the fruits of the Holy Spirit today and everyday. Help us to walk in a way that is worthy of this calling You have guided us to. Help us to live this new life walking in Your ways and will and giving You praise for making it possible. Help us to value the true and eternal riches more highly than the passing and deceitful riches of Earth. Help me to walk in Your Holy Spirit, to seek You and Your will. Help our thoughts to turn to You in the little pauses and intermediate moments of this day and everyday. Help us live each day to glorify You so that when You return, we are ready. I cannot wait for Your return! Come soon, Lord Jesus!
May we worship You all our days, O Lord. May our lives show the world Your light and Truth and that You are a loving God and Heavenly Father who delights in showing love and mercy. May we all be humbly and faithfully honored and excited to worship, glorify and serve You daily and to do Your will. You have been so good to us, far more than we as wretched sinners deserve. You are so good! So wonderful! Forever and always!
Thank you, O Lord, for all Your creation and Your miraculous ways. Thank You for being our stronghold and my refuge. Thank you for seeing us as worth the sacrifice. Thank you for sustaining us, loving us and defining us according to Your will and love for us. Thank you for making sure we are taken care of. Thank you for being the best friend we could ever have! Thank you for Your endless mercy and love that has saved us. Thank you for always protecting us and providing for us and for Your Spirit to help us when we are in need. Thank you for giving us a chance to be saved from our sin and spend eternity with You. Thank you for adopting us as part of Your family in Heaven and making us one of Your own. Thank you for being our present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Thank you for always being near and for loving us. Thank you for giving us a reason to love others and so many more reasons to love, praise, serve and follow You. Thank you for Your selfless and sinless sacrifice. Thank you for Your guidance and protection. Thank you for Your Truth and light. Thank you for Your wisdom and strength and grace. Thank you for giving life to the world and to us. You give and take away – And we thank you for it. Thank you for everything! Your will be done! Blessed be Your mighty name! To You and Your Kingdom be the glory forevermore! In Your name I humbly pray, Amen and amen

Knowing Jesus, especially in these the times we live in, is very important. Being saved is something we should be concerned about.
Are we saved?
Do we believe in Jesus?
Do we trust in Jesus?
Are we spending time with Him(Jesus) (The Holy Spirit) (God the Father)?
Are we reading his word (the word of God)?
Am I following what the word of God is saying or just reading it and not putting it into practice?
Am I actively being cooperative with The Holyspirit?
Am I allowing myself to be taught and guided by the Holy Spirit?
Am I in prayer?
These are all important questions to ask ourselves when it comes to the aftermath of our salvation (giving our lives Christ)
Sidenote: Remember, Christ is Jesus.

First Saturday in February - Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Do not neglect to do good.
"Brothers and sisters: Through Jesus, let us continually offer God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name. Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have; God is pleased by sacrifices of that kind.
"Obey your leaders and defer to them, for they keep watch over you and will have to give an account, that they may fulfill their task with joy and not with sorrow, for that would be of no advantage to you.
"May the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep by the Blood of the eternal covenant, Jesus our Lord, furnish you with all that is good, that you may do his will. May he carry out in you what is pleasing to him through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen." (Hebrews 13: 15 - 17, 20 - 21).
Saturday February 4th in the 4th Week of Ordinary Time. Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Today is the first Saturday of February 2023.
Our reflection is from the first Reading, Hebrews 13: 15 - 17, 20 - 21.
Brethren, the Spirit urges us: "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have; God is pleased by sacrifices of that kind."
You may ask: What good does the Holy Spirit wants me to do? Holy Mother Church has prepared for us a suitable list:
CORPORAL WORKS OF MERCY
1. Feed the hungry
2. Give drink to the thirsty
3. Clothe the naked
4. Shelter the homeless
5. Visit the sick
6. Visit the imprisoned
7. Bury the dead
SPIRITUAL WORKS OF MERCY
1. Instruct the ignorant
2. Counsel the doubtful
3. Admonish sinners
4. Bear wrongs patiently
5. Forgive offences willingly
6. Comfort the afflicted
7. Pray for the living and the dead
In considering our individual gifts and abilities, I like to be guided by the example of the Apostles Peter and John:
"Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, [rise and] walk.” (Acts 3: 6). Peter gave the crippled man a lot. While many of us will not be able to perform such miracle, we can all pray for the needy. Scripture teaches that the effective prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have.
The Responsorial Psalm 23 encourages us to trust in the Lord our Good Shepherd who will never let us be wanting of anything we need for ourselves and the extra to do good to our neighbors.
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
In verdant pastures he gives me repose.
Beside restful waters he leads me;
he refreshes my soul." (Psalm 23).

Wrestling with the Bible’s most disturbing stories
An excerpt from Rachel Held Evan’s book Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again
“Growing up, I noticed the ugly details in the Sunday school stories; children always do. I remember I was deeply troubled by the fact that God drowned all but two of each kind of animal in the Great Flood (to say nothing of all the people), and wondered aloud at the dinner table how God could be all-knowing and all-powerful, but also filled with regret. A friend's seven-year-old captured the angst well when she recently asked, 'Mom, is God the good guy or the bad guy in this story?'
This question of God's character haunted every scene and every act and every drama of the Bible. ...Feminist scholar Phyllis Trible aptly named these narratives 'texts of terror.'
'If art imitates life,' she wrote, 'scripture likewise reflects it in both holiness and horror.'
Rereading the texts of terror as a young woman, I kept anticipating some sort of postscript or epilogue chastising the major players for their sins, a sort of Arrested Development-style 'lesson' to wrap it all up -- 'And that's why you should always challenge the patriarchy!' But no such epilogue exists. While women are raped, killed, and divided as plunder, God stands by, mute as clay. I waited for a word from God, but none came.
...When I turned to pastors and professors for help, they urged me to set aside my objections, to simply trust that God is good and that the Bible's war stories happened as told, for reasons beyond my comprehension.
'God's ways are higher than our ways,' they insisted. 'Stop trying to know the mind of God.'
It's an understandable approach. Human beings are finite and fallible, prone to self-delusion and sentimentality. If we rely exclusively on our feelings to guide us to truth, we are bound to get lost.
When asked in 2010 about Joshua's conquest of Canaan, Reformed pastor and theologian John Piper declared, without hesitation, 'It's right for God to slaughter women and children anytime he pleases. God gives life and he takes life. Everybody who dies, dies because God wills that they die.'
Piper's dispassionate acceptance represented pure, committed faith, I was told, while mine had been infected by humanism and emotion -- 'a good example of why women should be kept from church leadership,' one acquaintance said.
And for a moment, I believed it. For a moment, I felt silly for responding so emotionally to a bunch of old war stories that left the rest of the faithful seemingly unfazed.
But this is the deleterious snare of fundamentalism: It claims that the heart is so corrupted by sin, it simply cannot be trusted to sort right from wrong, good from evil, divine from depraved. Instinct, intuition, conscience, critical thinking -- these impulses must be set aside whenever they appear to contradict the biblical text, because the good Christian never questions the 'clear teachings of Scripture'; the good Christian listens to God, not her gut.
I've watched people get so entangled in this snare they contort into shapes unrecognizable. When you can't trust your own God-given conscience to tell you what's right, or your own God-given conscience to tell you what's true, you lose the capacity to engage the world in any meaningful, authentic way, and you become an easy target for authoritarian movements eager to exploit that vacuity for their gain. I tried reading Scripture with my conscience and curiosity suspended, and I felt, quite literally, disintegrated. I felt fractured and fake.
Brené Brown warned us we can't selectively numb our emotions, and no doubt this applies to the emotions we have about our faith. If the slaughter of Canaanite children elicits only a shrug, then why not the slaughter of Pequots? Of Syrians? Of Jews? If we train ourselves not to ask hard questions about the Bible, and to emotionally distance ourselves from any potential conflicts or doubts, then where will we find the courage to challenge interpretations that justify injustice? How will we know when we've got it wrong?
'Belief in a cruel god makes a cruel man,' Thomas Paine said. If the Bible teaches that God is love, and love can look like genocide and violence and rape, then love can look like...anything. It's as much an invitation to moral relativism as you'll find anywhere.
I figured if God was real, then God didn't want the empty devotion of some shadow version of Rachel, but rather my whole, integrated self. So I decided to face the Bible's war stories head-on, mind and heart fully engaged, willing to risk the loss of faith if that's where the search led.
I listened to sermons. I read commentaries and theology books. I became a real downer at dinner parties:
'If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?' 'Have you seen any of the Oscar-nominated films this year?' 'What's your Enneagram number?' 'Do you think God condones genocide?'
The explanations came hurried and certain. Oh, God told Israel to wipe out the Canaanites because the Canaanites were super-duper evil, like the worst people ever. They worshipped idols and had orgies and sacrificed children to their gods. So God condemned the practice of child sacrifice...by slaughtering children? Well, that's just how things were back then. It was kill or be killed, tribal warfare and all that. Israel did what it had to do to survive....
I began to feel a bit like the disheveled Berenger, a character from Eugène Ionesco's play Rhinoceros, who grows increasingly bewildered as the people of his provincial French town acclimate to the sudden presence of rhinoceroses in their community. In one scene, a rhinoceros thunders through the town square, trampling a housecat. After their initial shock, the villagers get sidetracked debating whether the rhino had one horn or two, and whether its origins are Asiatic or African. And on it goes throughout the play, as the townspeople themselves transform into rhinos, one by one, arguing all the while over pointless trivialities, until only Berenger remains human.
The play is about fascism, I think, but it reminds me a bit of Christians and their Bibles. Sometimes it seems as if there are all these rhinoceroses barreling through the pages of Scripture, pooping on sidewalks and flattening housecats, but we've grown so accustomed to defending their presence we end up debating the length of their tails.
...
My questions came with consequences. We left the church in which I was raised, and rumors of my 'rebellious spirit' circulated around town, prompting more than a few well-meaning interventions. ...
But accepting the Bible's war stories without objection threatened to erase my humanity. ‘We don’t become more spiritual by becoming less human,’ Eugene Peterson said. How could I love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength while disengaging those very faculties every time I read the Bible?
So I brought my whole self into the wilderness with God – no faking, no halfway. And there we wrestled."

The revelations to St. Faustina weren’t ‘private revelation’--Pope Benedict XVI
When he was the head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, Pope Benedict XVI was asked by St. John Paul II to provide a theological reflection on the Third Secret of Fatima. (There’s a problem with the way the Vatican website is displaying quotation marks, so I am posting it here.) Then-Cardinal Ratzinger’s key move was to describe what visionaries receive, not as private revelation, but as contemporary “prophecy.” The same point is to be applied to all such visions and apparitions, including those prayer experiences that St. Faustina writes about in her Diaries.
THEOLOGICAL COMMENTARY
A careful reading of the text of the so-called third “secret” of Fatima, published here in its entirety long after the fact and by decision of the Holy Father, will probably prove disappointing or surprising after all the speculation it has stirred. No great mystery is revealed; nor is the future unveiled. We see the Church of the martyrs of the century which has just passed represented in a scene described in a language which is symbolic and not easy to decipher. Is this what the Mother of the Lord wished to communicate to Christianity and to humanity at a time of great difficulty and distress? Is it of any help to us at the beginning of the new millennium? Or are these only projections of the inner world of children, brought up in a climate of profound piety but shaken at the same time by the tempests which threatened their own time? How should we understand the vision? What are we to make of it?
Public Revelation and private revelations--their theological status
Before attempting an interpretation, the main lines of which can be found in the statement read by Cardinal Sodano on 13 May of this year at the end of the Mass celebrated by the Holy Father in Fatima, there is a need for some basic clarification of the way in which, according to Church teaching, phenomena such as Fatima are to be understood within the life of faith. The teaching of the Church distinguishes between “public Revelation” and “private revelations”. The two realities differ not only in degree but also in essence. The term “public Revelation” refers to the revealing action of God directed to humanity as a whole and which finds its literary expression in the two parts of the Bible: the Old and New Testaments. It is called “Revelation” because in it God gradually made himself known to men, to the point of becoming man himself, in order to draw to himself the whole world and unite it with himself through his Incarnate Son, Jesus Christ. It is not a matter therefore of intellectual communication, but of a life-giving process in which God comes to meet man. At the same time this process naturally produces data pertaining to the mind and to the understanding of the mystery of God. It is a process which involves man in his entirety and therefore reason as well, but not reason alone. Because God is one, history, which he shares with humanity, is also one. It is valid for all time, and it has reached its fulfilment in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In Christ, God has said everything, that is, he has revealed himself completely, and therefore Revelation came to an end with the fulfilment of the mystery of Christ as enunciated in the New Testament. To explain the finality and completeness of Revelation, the Catechism of the Catholic Church quotes a text of Saint John of the Cross: “In giving us his Son, his only Word (for he possesses no other), he spoke everything to us at once in this sole Word--and he has no more to say... because what he spoke before to the prophets in parts, he has now spoken all at once by giving us the All Who is His Son. Any person questioning God or desiring some vision or revelation would be guilty not only of foolish behaviour but also of offending him, by not fixing his eyes entirely upon Christ and by living with the desire for some other novelty” (No. 65; Saint John of the Cross,The Ascent of Mount Carmel, II, 22).
Because the single Revelation of God addressed to all peoples comes to completion with Christ and the witness borne to him in the books of the New Testament, the Church is tied to this unique event of sacred history and to the word of the Bible, which guarantees and interprets it. But this does not mean that the Church can now look only to the past and that she is condemned to sterile repetition. The Catechism of the Catholic Church says in this regard: “...even if Revelation is already complete, it has not been made fully explicit; it remains for Christian faith gradually to grasp its full significance over the course of the centuries” (No. 66). The way in which the Church is bound to both the uniqueness of the event and progress in understanding it is very well illustrated in the farewell discourse of the Lord when, taking leave of his disciples, he says: “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak on his own authority... He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you” (Jn 16:12-14). On the one hand, the Spirit acts as a guide who discloses a knowledge previously unreachable because the premise was missing--this is the boundless breadth and depth of Christian faith. On the other hand, to be guided by the Spirit is also “to draw from” the riches of Jesus Christ himself, the inexhaustible depths of which appear in the way the Spirit leads. In this regard, the Catechism cites profound words of Pope Gregory the Great: “The sacred Scriptures grow with the one who reads them” (No. 94; Gregory the Great,Homilia in Ezechielem I, 7, 8). The Second Vatican Council notes three essential ways in which the Spirit guides in the Church, and therefore three ways in which “the word grows”: through the meditation and study of the faithful, through the deep understanding which comes from spiritual experience, and through the preaching of “those who, in the succession of the episcopate, have received the sure charism of truth” (Dei Verbum, 8).
In this context, it now becomes possible to understand rightly the concept of “private revelation”, which refers to all the visions and revelations which have taken place since the completion of the New Testament. This is the category to which we must assign the message of Fatima. In this respect, let us listen once again to the Catechism of the Catholic Church: “Throughout the ages, there have been so-called ‘private' revelations, some of which have been recognized by the authority of the Church... It is not their role to complete Christ's definitive Revelation, but to help live more fully by it in a certain period of history” (No. 67). This clarifies two things:
1. The authority of private revelations is essentially different from that of the definitive public Revelation. The latter demands faith; in it in fact God himself speaks to us through human words and the mediation of the living community of the Church. Faith in God and in his word is different from any other human faith, trust or opinion. The certainty that it is God who is speaking gives me the assurance that I am in touch with truth itself. It gives me a certitude which is beyond verification by any human way of knowing. It is the certitude upon which I build my life and to which I entrust myself in dying.
2. Private revelation is a help to this faith, and shows its credibility precisely by leading me back to the definitive public Revelation. In this regard, Cardinal Prospero Lambertini, the future Pope Benedict XIV, says in his classic treatise, which later became normative for beatifications and canonizations: “An assent of Catholic faith is not due to revelations approved in this way; it is not even possible. These revelations seek rather an assent of human faith in keeping with the requirements of prudence, which puts them before us as probable and credible to piety”. The Flemish theologian E. Dhanis, an eminent scholar in this field, states succinctly that ecclesiastical approval of a private revelation has three elements: the message contains nothing contrary to faith or morals; it is lawful to make it public; and the faithful are authorized to accept it with prudence (E. Dhanis,Sguardo su Fatima e bilancio di una discussione, in La Civiltà Cattolica 104 [1953], II, 392-406, in particular 397). Such a message can be a genuine help in understanding the Gospel and living it better at a particular moment in time; therefore it should not be disregarded. It is a help which is offered, but which one is not obliged to use.
The criterion for the truth and value of a private revelation is therefore its orientation to Christ himself. When it leads us away from him, when it becomes independent of him or even presents itself as another and better plan of salvation, more important than the Gospel, then it certainly does not come from the Holy Spirit, who guides us more deeply into the Gospel and not away from it. This does not mean that a private revelation will not offer new emphases or give rise to new devotional forms, or deepen and spread older forms. But in all of this there must be a nurturing of faith, hope and love, which are the unchanging path to salvation for everyone. We might add that private revelations often spring from popular piety and leave their stamp on it, giving it a new impulse and opening the way for new forms of it. Nor does this exclude that they will have an effect even on the liturgy, as we see for instance in the feasts of Corpus Christi and of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. From one point of view, the relationship between Revelation and private revelations appears in the relationship between the liturgy and popular piety: the liturgy is the criterion, it is the living form of the Church as a whole, fed directly by the Gospel. Popular piety is a sign that the faith is spreading its roots into the heart of a people in such a way that it reaches into daily life. Popular religiosity is the first and fundamental mode of “inculturation” of the faith. While it must always take its lead and direction from the liturgy, it in turn enriches the faith by involving the heart.
We have thus moved from the somewhat negative clarifications, initially needed, to a positive definition of private revelations. How can they be classified correctly in relation to Scripture? To which theological category do they belong? The oldest letter of Saint Paul which has been preserved, perhaps the oldest of the New Testament texts, the First Letter to the Thessalonians, seems to me to point the way. The Apostle says: “Do not quench the Spirit, do not despise prophesying, but test everything, holding fast to what is good” (5:19-21). In every age the Church has received the charism of prophecy, which must be scrutinized but not scorned. On this point, it should be kept in mind that prophecy in the biblical sense does not mean to predict the future but to explain the will of God for the present, and therefore show the right path to take for the future. A person who foretells what is going to happen responds to the curiosity of the mind, which wants to draw back the veil on the future. The prophet speaks to the blindness of will and of reason, and declares the will of God as an indication and demand for the present time. In this case, prediction of the future is of secondary importance. What is essential is the actualization of the definitive Revelation, which concerns me at the deepest level. The prophetic word is a warning or a consolation, or both together. In this sense there is a link between the charism of prophecy and the category of “the signs of the times”, which Vatican II brought to light anew: “You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky; why then do you not know how to interpret the present time?” (Lk 12:56). In this saying of Jesus, the “signs of the times” must be understood as the path he was taking, indeed it must be understood as Jesus himself. To interpret the signs of the times in the light of faith means to recognize the presence of Christ in every age. In the private revelations approved by the Church--and therefore also in Fatima--this is the point: they help us to understand the signs of the times and to respond to them rightly in faith.
The anthropological structure of private revelations
In these reflections we have sought so far to identify the theological status of private revelations. Before undertaking an interpretation of the message of Fatima, we must still attempt briefly to offer some clarification of their anthropological (psychological) character. In this field, theological anthropology distinguishes three forms of perception or “vision”: vision with the senses, and hence exterior bodily perception, interior perception, and spiritual vision (visio sensibilis - imaginativa - intellectualis). It is clear that in the visions of Lourdes, Fatima and other places it is not a question of normal exterior perception of the senses: the images and forms which are seen are not located spatially, as is the case for example with a tree or a house. This is perfectly obvious, for instance, as regards the vision of hell (described in the first part of the Fatima “secret”) or even the vision described in the third part of the “secret”. But the same can be very easily shown with regard to other visions, especially since not everybody present saw them, but only the “visionaries”. It is also clear that it is not a matter of a “vision” in the mind, without images, as occurs at the higher levels of mysticism. Therefore we are dealing with the middle category, interior perception. For the visionary, this perception certainly has the force of a presence, equivalent for that person to an external manifestation to the senses.
Interior vision does not mean fantasy, which would be no more than an expression of the subjective imagination. It means rather that the soul is touched by something real, even if beyond the senses. It is rendered capable of seeing that which is beyond the senses, that which cannot be seen--seeing by means of the “interior senses”. It involves true “objects”, which touch the soul, even if these “objects” do not belong to our habitual sensory world. This is why there is a need for an interior vigilance of the heart, which is usually precluded by the intense pressure of external reality and of the images and thoughts which fill the soul. The person is led beyond pure exteriority and is touched by deeper dimensions of reality, which become visible to him. Perhaps this explains why children tend to be the ones to receive these apparitions: their souls are as yet little disturbed, their interior powers of perception are still not impaired. “On the lips of children and of babes you have found praise”, replies Jesus with a phrase of Psalm 8 (v. 3) to the criticism of the High Priests and elders, who had judged the children's cries of “hosanna” inappropriate (cf. Mt 21:16).
“Interior vision” is not fantasy but, as we have said, a true and valid means of verification. But it also has its limitations. Even in exterior vision the subjective element is always present. We do not see the pure object, but it comes to us through the filter of our senses, which carry out a work of translation. This is still more evident in the case of interior vision, especially when it involves realities which in themselves transcend our horizon. The subject, the visionary, is still more powerfully involved. He sees insofar as he is able, in the modes of representation and consciousness available to him. In the case of interior vision, the process of translation is even more extensive than in exterior vision, for the subject shares in an essential way in the formation of the image of what appears. He can arrive at the image only within the bounds of his capacities and possibilities. Such visions therefore are never simple “photographs” of the other world, but are influenced by the potentialities and limitations of the perceiving subject.
This can be demonstrated in all the great visions of the saints; and naturally it is also true of the visions of the children at Fatima. The images described by them are by no means a simple expression of their fantasy, but the result of a real perception of a higher and interior origin. But neither should they be thought of as if for a moment the veil of the other world were drawn back, with heaven appearing in its pure essence, as one day we hope to see it in our definitive union with God. Rather the images are, in a manner of speaking, a synthesis of the impulse coming from on high and the capacity to receive this impulse in the visionaries, that is, the children. For this reason, the figurative language of the visions is symbolic. In this regard, Cardinal Sodano stated: “[they] do not describe photographically the details of future events, but synthesize and compress against a single background facts which extend through time in an unspecified succession and duration”. This compression of time and place in a single image is typical of such visions, which for the most part can be deciphered only in retrospect. Not every element of the vision has to have a specific historical sense. It is the vision as a whole that matters, and the details must be understood on the basis of the images taken in their entirety. The central element of the image is revealed where it coincides with what is the focal point of Christian “prophecy” itself: the centre is found where the vision becomes a summons and a guide to the will of God…

David's Joy over Forgiveness - Psalms 32
"Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit."
Human biographers usually pass over matters that are not beautiful. They tell of the things that are attractive and honorable - but say little of faults and blemishes. One of the remarkable features of the Bible in writing biographies, is that it does not hide good men's faults nor conceal their sins. One reason is, that it would warn us against even the best men's mistakes.
On the Alps, places where men have fallen, are marked for the warning of other tourists who may come that way. So we are told of the sins and falls of godly men - that we may not repeat their mistakes. Another reason is to show us the greatness of the divine mercy that can forgive such sins and then restore the sinner to noble and useful life. As terrible as David's sin was - the story of his fall and restoration has been a blessing to millions.
"Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered." This is a most suggestive beatitude. If we had been writing it, we would have said, "Blessed is he who never has sinned." But if it read thus, it would have no comfort for anyone in this world, for there are no sinless people here. Holy angels might have enjoyed its comfort - but no others could. We may be very thankful that the beatitude runs as it does, "Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered." This brings the blessing within the reach of everyone of us.
It is the first in all the long list of Blesseds, for no blessing can come to any soul - until it has been forgiven of its sins. The gate of forgiveness is the first gate we must pass through, before we can receive any of the other blessings of God's love. Unforgiven sin lies across our path - as a mountain which no one can cross over. No other favor or gift or prosperity is of any avail - while our sins remain uncancelled. But with forgiveness, come all the blessings of life and glory.
The word "covered" seems a strange word to use about anyone's life. There is one way of covering sin which can bring no peace, no blessing. We must not try to cover our own sin, so as to hide it from God. That is what David had been doing with his sins which at last he brought to God, and he tells us a little farther on in the Psalm how little blessing he found in that way. Says the wise man: "He who covers his sins shall not prosper. But whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy." Sins which we cover ourselves, even most successfully, as it appears, are not forgiven. They are like slumbering fires in the volcano, ready to burst out any moment in all their terribleness. But when God covers our sins - they are put away out of sight forever - out of our sight, out of the world's sight, out of God's sight. The Lord says He will remember our sins against us no more forever. So the covering is complete and final - when it is God's.
"When I kept silence, my bones wasted away, through my groaning all the day long." Sometimes we ought to be silent to God. This is the wise thing to do when sore trials are upon us, and we do not know what to do. "I was silent; I would not open my mouth, for You are the one who has done this!" There is a great blessing in such silence to God. It brings peace, joy, comfort. It means a submission to God's will - in time of suffering. But here is a silence to God, which does not bring blessing - silence about our sins. Unconfessed sins cause only bitterness and sorrow.
David's language here tells the sad story of the days when he kept silent about his guilt, when he tried to hide it, when he made no confession, was not penitent. It was almost a year. He went on with his work, keeping up the external show of royal honor, probably even engaging outwardly in the worship of God. But he could not put away the consciousness of his sins. This memory stayed on his mind and saddened every joy, embittered every sweet, and shadowed the face of God. His very body suffered, and his heart kept crying out continually. It will never do just to keep quiet about our sins and try to hide them and forget them. We should never keep silent to God, even a moment about any sin we have committed. We should tell Him at once - the evil thing we have done.
"Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the LORD' - and You forgave the guilt of my sin!" The moment David confessed his sins, back on the very echo of his liturgy of penitence, came the blessed assurance of pardon. "I have sinned" - "The Lord has also put away your sin." "I will confess" - "You forgave."
So we learn the only way to get forgiven of our sins - we must put them out of our heart - into the hands of God, by sincere and humble confession, and by true repentance. Then they will trouble us no more forever.
Some people try to hide away from God when they have sinned - but this also is a vain effort. Adam and Eve tried this, hiding in the garden after their transgression, when they heard the footsteps of God approaching. But God called them and brought them out before His face to confess their sin. The only safe flight for the sinner from sin and from God - is to God. In the divine mercy and beneath the cross of Christ - there is secure and eternal refuge. "You are my hiding place."
The Book of Revelation pictures men, in the day of judgment, calling upon the rocks and the hills to fall upon them - and hide them from the wrath of the Lamb. But the cry is in vain. In their despair many men and women resort to suicide, ending their lives in the effort to get away from their sins. Thus they only rush the more quickly and with added sin on their souls - into the presence of the Judge they so much dread! But God is the real hiding place from sin. His mercy is an eternal refuge. When He covers sins - they are covered forever. "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." No pursuer or avenger ever can pass the door of that refuge, to drag the forgiven one out. Christ has died for him - and he is free forever.
"You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance." God is also a hiding place, a refuge from trouble. "God had one Son without sin ; but He has none without sorrow ." But there is a hiding place to which sorrowing ones can flee, and where they will find comfort that shall give them peace. "In the world you have tribulation. In Me you may have peace," says the Master. The sorrow may not be shut out - but the divine peace comes into the heart and calms it.
God is also a hiding place from danger. In the wildest terrors and alarms we can run to Him, and lying down in His bosom, be safe. The danger may burst upon us - but we shall be safe; though we may suffer in our person or in our estate, our inner life shall be unhurt.
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you." Forgiveness is not the whole of Christian life. The forgiven one enters God's school, and comes under His instruction. We are to go on increasing in knowledge. We have God Himself for our teacher. God is always setting lessons for us. The lessons are not always easy; sometimes they are very hard. God teaches us many of our best songs - in the gloom of sick rooms, or in some experience of sorrow. Life is full of lessons. Every day, new ones are set for us, and we should be good pupils, ready learners.
"Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle." Then, God also guides us in the way we should go. If we would have His guidance, however, we must be ready to follow, to do all He bids us to do. We must not be like the horse or mule, which have to be compelled by bit and bridle. Our submission should be willing and glad.
"Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart!" JOY is a Christian duty. God wants His children all to be happy. Do they never have troubles? Yes, many of them. It is those whom the Lord loves - that He chastens. It is the fruitful branches - that the gardener prunes. Still God wants His believing ones to rejoice and be glad. No duty is enjoined in the Scriptures with greater frequency, than that of joy. We must learn to rejoice even in pain and sorrow .
We must notice, however, what kind of joy it is that we are so earnestly urged to have. It is not the world's joy, "Rejoice in the LORD." The gladness has its source and fountain in God. It is God's own gladness, communicated by the Divine Spirit. There is a gladness which is found in sin, which comes from evil-doing; but the gladness of the child of God - is found in obedience to God and in holy living. Those whose gladness depends only on earthly things, have no assurance of its continuance, for all earthly things are transitory.
Flowers make us glad - but tomorrow they have faded. When it is the love of Christ that gives us gladness - our joy is sure, for His joy is everlasting. So we need to give good heed to the grounds of our gladness. To be glad in the Lord, comes from putting our trust in Him, in accepting His salvation, His grace, in believing in His love - and then in doing day by day our simple duty, leaving to Him all care, all providing, all protecting, and never allowing a fear or a shadow of anxiety to cross our minds.

Jeremiah 6:16-8:7, Colossians 2:8-23, Psalm 78:1-31, Proverbs 24:26
Today is the 6th day of October, welcome to the Daily Audio Bible, I am Brian, it is wonderful to be here with you today. As we continue our journey and settled into this 10th month of the year, as we continue our journey through the book of Jeremiah and the letter to the Colossians. We’re reading from the Common English Bible this week, Jeremiah chapter 6, verse 16 through 8 verse 7.
Commentary:
Okay so, we’re reading in the 2nd chapter of the letter to the Colossians in the New Testament. And, what Paul lays out today is our reality and in describing that reality he’s kind of coming against some other behaviors that have been taught, like this is what will lead you to righteousness. So, he says don't let anybody judge you about eating or drinking, or about a festival, a new moon observance or sabbaths. These religious practices are only a shadow of what was coming. Don't let anyone who wants to practice harsh self-denial and worship angels rob you of the prize. And so, what is the prize? The prize was described today. Literally, I can't say it in another way that's better, or teach it, like Paul teaches it out of this letter exactly as it's intended to be received, so I simply want to reread about five verses while highlighting this is supposed to be the reality, we live in. This is supposed to be what normal looks like to us. And so, Paul says “See to it that nobody enslaves you with philosophy and foolish deception which conform to human traditions and the way the world thinks and acts rather than Christ. All the fullness of deity lives in Christ's body. So, all the fullness of God lives in Christ's body. And you have been filled by Him who is the head of every ruler and authority. In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision not administered by human hands. The circumcision of Christ is realized in the stripping away of the whole self, dominated by sin. In other words, that was cut away and discarded, the self, dominated by sin. You were buried with Him through baptism and raised with Him through faith in the power of God who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead, because of the things you would done wrong and because your body wasn't circumcised, God made you alive with Christ, and forgave all the things you had done wrong. He destroyed the record of the debt we owed with its requirements that worked against us. He canceled it by nailing it to the cross.” Oh, that is our reality. And it's not like we have encountered these concepts in Paul's writings, but here it is laid out concisely, we aren't who we were. Things have changed. We have changed. In fact, so much so that who we were is well, dead, no longer existing. We have been resurrected into a new life. Again, this is kind of, I mean it's a mind blowing, let's not, let’s not take that off the table, its mind blowing. But it's also essential Christian teaching, like 101. It's the basic understanding. But man, if we could get the fundamentals, if we could get the basics down, because if we look at this and this is the reality, then why don't we live like this is the reality? Like, that’s the question, right? If this is the reality and we’re now living in reality than what are we doing, besides living in a false reality that is considerably less then what the good news offers us? On one hand, we can make this really encouraging and bolster ourselves and rise up, and yeah, we’re going to do this, but on the other hand, this is not really just about us. This is how the world will know, this is how Earth's people, who do not know Jesus will come to understand. We have been entrusted; we’re supposed to be living this reality. Anything less is just less.
Prayer:
And so, Holy Spirit, come into that. We confess that we have elected to live less, more of the time, then is easy to admit. The letter to the Colossians tells us that the fullness of God is in Christ, and we are filled by Christ who is the head of every ruler and authority, that's hard to get our mind, it's so big and so good, it's hard to get our minds around. And yet we choose to ignore things like this when there, they change everything. You change everything and we just try to moderate that which essentially makes us live less than You've offered. And we don't want to do that anymore and we need to not do that because we are the light of the world, a city on a hill, the salt of the earth. And so, come, Holy Spirit, not only let this message transform our own hearts and encourage us but give us a sense of purpose and understanding about why this reality has been offered to us in the first place. Come, Holy Spirit into this we ask You to lead and direct us and guide us. Lead us into all truth. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

And the Prayer Wall is always there and so you can always go and ask our brothers and sisters to pray for us. We can also go and pray for our brothers and sisters. And that's how works right, we give and we receive and we give and we receive from one another in so many different ways, so don't be a stranger to the Prayer Wall.

Prayer and Encouragements:
Hey everybody, Tony the Narrator here. Just a big shout out to everybody just to let you know that I’m praying with you and for you. I love all of you but yeah. Quick prayer request if possibly; my Mum’s come down with COVID for the second time. She's had both of the Oxford shots and she still come down with it and she's got a cold at the same time and it's really, she's, she's going through it, bless her, she's going through the ringer. She actually got it in November 2019 before we all knew what it was. So yeah, it was, it was, she was one of the very early cases and she picked up a new version of it so, if I could just, please beg your prayers over my mum. I’ve already told her that your all praying because I know that I can trust you guys in DABC. I’ve told her that she's got hundreds and hundreds of thousands of Christians around the globe praying over her right now because time is irrelevant when you’re speaking to the Lord and she also said to say thank you and she said all that’s lovely, which is very English thing, don’t worry.  And so, yeah, please hold my mom up in prayers she’s going through it and this is a really beautiful opportunity for me to be able to share the gospel with her and to let her know that actually she's got a Jesus who is caring for her. So, guys, I love you so much. I'm going to be able to share the gospel with my mom because of you and I love all of you. You’re all mine.
Hello beautiful family this is Susan calling from Albuquerque. I just wanted to lift a couple people up in prayer. The first one: Mark the teacher in Australia, he called about his brother who's been missing in the Outback for a couple months now and can’t imagine how, how worried you must be. I'm just kind of speechless. I can’t imagine. And the other is Bonnie from Virginia who has managed, who came here from another country and I'm assuming it's from a culture that, where women are thought of as no less important than dogs. And I, you came over here and managed to escape from a very big abusive situation. Oh, my goodness, you are so courageous and I'm so grateful you are here, there is no accident you came here and we're just all loving you and supporting you and I just wanted to say that and I'm so glad you called in. So, Father I wanted to lift up Mark and Bonnie today and we come together because Your family we love you very much and we love Your children and our brother and our sister. Please encourage Mark. Please help him find his brother-in-law. I know that they're terribly worried and they need peace of mind, please comfort this family and help them find an answer very soon. And Bonnie, please continue her recovery from this abusive marriage. I'm all out of time now. Love you all.
Good morning my DAB family. This is Judy from Georgia. This message goes to Victoria Solider. Victoria, I'm so sorry my sister to hear about your brother passing. May God comfort and keep you in His care and comfort the rest of your family and give you the strength to get through this time of mourning. We’re all praying for you my dear. Have a great day everyone. God bless you all.

And we ask that your blessing continue on Brian and his family. Lord, we love You, we bless You, we worship You. In Jesus name. Amen.
Good morning everybody, it’s Susan from Canada, God’s Yellow Flower calling. I just want to lift up Victorious Solider in prayer today and her family, over the loss of her loved brother. Dear God, dear God, I am so thankful that her brother has been saved and is enjoying the benefits of his faith here on earth. I am joyful that his heart and soul and mind and body are with you, right at this time. But for those left behind God, it's hard. And I pray Your arms of comfort about each and every one of them and that You would strengthen them and guide them and lead them through this hour of grief. I pray dear Lord that You would especially bless Victorious Soldier with leadership she needs in guiding this family through this terrible time. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
