I've compiled most of my it fanart from 2020 until now into a little zine! It'll be available for sale at y/con Paris on 4/5 november and later online for 18€. ☺️ it's 64 pages, full colors, and full of old men in love and handsome women (everyone is clown traumatized but no one is dead) 😌

Interest Check: Fanzine

The first issue of what is hoped to be a serial zine, would consist primarily of fan interviews/spotlights. It would be for the IT fandom as a whole, not just reddie shippers. But, y'know.

Basically you would be asked about your experiences in fandom, and what the highlights have been, how you like to participate in fandom, etc. And I would write up a little article on you.

It would be digital, and free, for accessibility purposes, and because the main focus for the first issue would not be on fan content itself, although will hopefully include some.

There would not be any application process. Everyone is allowed to participate. All types of fanworks would be welcome!

Obviously, at the end of the day if a fanwork is incomplete by your own standards, it just wouldn't be included. But to us 'complete' just means that you are satisfied with how it came out; if it's a sketch it's a sketch! If it's a teaser to a fic, then great!

The only thing I'd potentially be discerning of is how many merchandise highlights there would be. (For example, if you are selling a charm, we could include a photo of the charm, or the digital art that was turned into the charm, and a link to where you're selling it.)

This isn’t something I plan on doing anytime soon, but sometimes I’m sad I missed out on prime fandom time for zines and things… but I do know how to bind books myself, so I thought it would be fun to do a limited batch sometime in the future if people would be interested! They would be hand bound with thread rather than stapled.

OMG Mack, just saw your Stanley Uris post (hard agree) and I didn't know you also read IT fanfic 😍 don't know why but that makes me happy. I love the book and the movies and read quite a lot of the fic back in the day.

YES!!!! i am a huuuuuuge it girlie omg. i first read the book when i was in 9th grade, funny enough, for a school project 😂 and i really liked it! and then when they did the reboot movies i got DEEEEEEP into the fandom ommmg. i read fics, wrote fics, participated in a reddie zine, went to a con that james ransone was at and got to meet him — yeah i was part of that fandom BIIIIIG TIME lol. and i still love it so much!!! i rewatch the movies — all of them, including the 1990 one — regularly and ive been wanting to reread the book. i don't read it fics as often these days, but if i see one that catches my attention enough i definutely still will click into it!
