Okay, so... lemme’ get this straight here
Elbana can do the following:
Cast a debuff that stops a unit from attacking or using their skills.
Said debuff also will explode the operator and all tiles around them in a cross-shape that also explodes adjacent operators.
Can sacrifice 5 specific unit types and gain a shield equal to her already large HP pool.
Has a second form that ignites all camouflage tiles on the map, which makes them deal continual Arts damage, eventual Arts debuff and massive burst Arts damage to those standing on those tiles.
Said second form also deals double damage with melee attacks and her debuff-explosion attack can now attack an addition target, ones that can now no longer be camouflaged due to it being on fire.
Let’s also not forget the following:
The gimmick of this event includes tiles that debuff attack speed. For the majority of the accessible map space.
Several tiles that don’t debuff attack speed are inaccessible by your units.
The specific enemy unit types I previously mentioned have two forms, one of which will revive itself back to form 1 if you don’t kill it fast enough.
On an event with tiles that debuff attack speed. In a tower defense game.
And let’s also not forget this stage is recommended at E1, Level 70.
Like... my guy. My dude. My gender-undefined pal. What the actual fuck?
Like, my god, I know Tallulah was a pain in the ass, but least she was legit endgame content. The Amalgam was the most annoy puzzle boss in the game, but even that could be finished with decent game knowledge and a single Surtr placement to handle one of the two Reefbreakers. But this is just cruel.
Like, you might as well just limit DP and increase redeployment time to neuter Texas Alter while you’re fucking us over with this boss, I swear. How do you... deal with this????

Turns out I had to break out the nuclear artillery, by which I mean Kal'tsit and her Murderspine to deal with the Reefbreakers up top as I needed Surtr on boss duty and no one else could really deal with them. Skadi got close to managing but then got stunned by the Nervous Impairment and leaked, since I only have one Wandering Medic raised, but in the end, SN-10 has been conquered, after very much swearing.

The stat boosts for the boss where annoying, but didn't add that much difficulty. It's quite a DPS check and even Tequila and Toddifons, my two operators with the highest damage, struggle to kill it. I was hesitant on bringing another DPS before because I need to retreat someone inbetween phases to deal with the normal enemies, but then I remembered Provence' module, which reduces her redeploy time and lets her switch out and back in quickly enough to help with every phase. Specter as a tank means that the boss' boosted attack stat doesn't matter anyways.
The Little Handy part that gives melee ops more attack on first deployment meant that Lappland and Texas don't immediately need a healer s they kill the early enemies quickly enough, and Project Red can kill two enemies and the unevolved form of the boss on her own. I probably don't need to spawnkill like that, but it works out. What's important is that the boss is on the right side of the map on first evolution. Utage can solo the Brandguider, while Waiifu kills the Predator with Shamare, and then silences the Founder so it doesn't spread the slime when April kills it. I also debuffed the founder fighting Lappland as she got dangerously low on health otherwise.
Once the boss is in the upper right corner, I deploy Provence, and then replace Texas with Specter so she can tank the boss. I also bring in Project Red so she can distract the boss from attacking Provence before it comes close enough to Specter. Mulberry's S2 counters the high Nervous Impairment buildup that Specter is suffering. I unleash my three DPS ops' skills, and once the boss gets close to 50 % health and the def buff, I activate my debuffs. They only last 15 seconds so if I do it earlier, the boss won't be dead before they run out. Once the second phase is dead, I retreat Provence since I need an unit limit of at least two for the next set of regressed enemies.
Luckily the Regressed Predator is a little bit ahead of the Swarmcaller so that April will attack it first, (with silence from Waai Fu so it can't dodge) so that it drops it's remains far away and the boss won't eat it. Evasion is the worst buff for it since it can't get silenced, so only short lasting stuns can remove the evasion. I also have April and Red bring the Swarmcaller to low health so Texas can finish it off later, while Utage kills the next Brandguider. The next phase of the boss dies without issue.
April and Waai Fu kill the last Predator. Project Red needs to stall the Reefbreaker for a few seconds so that Shamare can finish charging her skill, Utage needs the debuff to survive the duel with the Predator. Still, I screw up here a little and almost lose the run to the charged up Reefbreaker. It also delays redeploying Provence as I use up all my DP on bringing in stallers. But I survive the ordeal and slaughter the boss. Specter's immortality completely nullifies the Reefbreaker buff. Game, set and match!

The Element of Revenge
Dr. Kryo wanted to do some pulls on the Surtr banner hoping that he could get his wife away from me one day and suck out another pot from the 6star roster.
And the event of choice that he wanted to be guided on was Sultifera Navis, which, surprisingly, is the event that I know a little bit about (apart from the Lingering echoes) because Pinkie was very generously describing which enemy does what while guiding me 10 months ago.
However, Dr. Kryo cares not for patience and for knowledge so he wants to 'go in' and 'do the map' with a single glance at it to judge whether or not there will be a lot to bother with or not.
Which is something /I/ usually don't do.
But it's not about me. It's between him,
Tumblr media
this guy
Tumblr media
and this guy.
Mainly because he thought he wants to Texalter the Brandguider and leave him under 50%, which also followed up with the invisible walking nuke that is the reefbreaker.
Tumblr media
Remember this during Guiding Ahead?
Kryo 🤝 Eve
Don't let him get
below 50%
Anyways, lore-accurate Andoain during my run.
Continuation of EX-7 left for tomorrow because he's out of sanity in game and I am out of sanity IRL.
---
Kryo: "I am sorry that I don't take screenshots to send you for your arknights guiding escapades."
Me: "Escapade suggests that it's something enjoyable."
Pinkie: "No?"
Me: "Yeah, I'm NOT having fun."

I typed up a whole response to a comment but it got deleted, so I’ll just put it here on its own: I can’t comment on SN-S-4 specifically, since that’s the one map I haven’t done yet... but I do think that the S stages are consistently the worst-designed stages in the game. In particular, in Stultifera Navis, the EX stages tended to be really well-designed (SN-EX-8 CM was probably my single favorite stage in the game), but the S stages were terrible. Maps are at their best when enemies are meaningful, such that each individual enemy or each individual wave of enemies provides meaningful threat, and the Stultifera S-stages often just sent the same enemy at you repeatedly for three minutes in a way that didn’t really escalate difficulty. If you can’t deal with the first group, you lose... and if you can, you’re set for the rest of the stage, pretty much, especially because the threatening enemies like Reefbreakers came at 60s intervals, more or less. In this event, I think that sort of design feels especially bad, because so much of the mechanical design (if you’re using cars) just cares about having blockers to redirect cars, because the cars do all the damage and CC you need if you have your operators and roads positioned correctly, such that throwing more drunks, or cars, or water cannons doesn’t even really matter. It’s homogenizing in a way that just feels uncomfortable, and at least with fewer individual enemies in a stage you might have to deal with some stuff early before you can get the car engine set up. In contrast, SSS actually does a pretty good job at making individual enemies matter: I really specifically care about enemies like the Toron-8 Crocs / Avengers, I specifically care about the Carrot-6 boats, and I have to try and build teams in a specific way in order to handle them. And there’s a lot of different ways to do that! There’s the arts-bursting strategies, there’s stalling strategies, you want to hold specific cards for specific times, there’s a good tension between placing operators early for tempo or later for value with more buffs, and so on. I just find it interesting that my perspective is nearly the opposite of you: S stages tend to be terrible, but SSS is something that people dislike because you can’t steamroll it with meta ops, and it’s actually meaningfully difficult.

I’m Mike, Captain of the Salty Dog vessel and she is a superior ship in O Capitão fleet.
The Saltwater Aficionados vessel, the Salty Dog, had left Pearl City Port in 2015 and made landfall in Kapolei Port years later in 2018. Her maiden voyage was completed under extreme conditions and she was christened a strong seaworthy vessel under my command shortly after.
