im sorry but i can never be a lyanna stan guys.
just lemme explain.
obviously this is only if she willingly went w rhaegar
To begin with, the situation in its simplest form is that Rhaegar and Elia are married, amicable yet not in love, and Rhaegar runs off with Lyanna, causing chaos to ensue amongst the realm.
Even if no war occured and everything was fine, how can Lyanna try to justify running away with a married man, especially on the way to her brothers wedding which feels very selfish, even if Brandon didn’t want to marry Cat, like she still ruined their wedding day.
Not to mention, that running with Rhaegar meant that shes inserted herself into his marriage which is Elia’s place. How nonsensical it is to run away with a married man and somehow marry him!
There’s two routes people go to justify it, and I’ll explain why I think they suck:
1) E-R-L is a polygamous marriage: This is not appeasable to the realm at all! Nobody will accept that. The only reason Aegon+Rhaenys+Visenya were accepted was because they were conquering Westeros, and like you can’t say shit about the guys conquering you!! Also the Targs were on thin ice then, and Maegor also tried, and look what happened afterwards!
2) E-R was annulled and R-L are married: I don’t think this is reasonable at all. Considering that Rhaegar is only HEIR, just like Daemon, for example. Both wanted annulments and both need the permission from the King and/or High Septon, but also considering how the likes of Aegon IV couldn’t annul his own marriage, do you really think a measly heir could?! At least in Daemon’s situation, he had no children, but as Aegon IV and Rhaegar both had kids (Elia giving birth twice in 3 years) theres no grounds for annulment, and it would disinherit his children potentially anyway, or even start a second Dance. As soon as you have a second wife, whether polygamous, annulled or dead first wife, war will be almost inevitable between the potential heirs.
Also Ik its not possible.. but can we stop with the E/R/L shipping in a serious manner (crackship is fine but in canon is 😐)
Like genuinely thinking mid-20s Elia would want to romance a 14 year old girl, would be fine with her husband romancing said 14 year old, or join in together, is so crazy to me. Like, yes Rhaegar is very much in the pedo-realm but why would Elia also follow suit??!
And like not to be a huge Robert Baratheon stan here (i hate GOT era him) but you can’t deny that it is the rebellion+it’s repercussions on his life, that change him so heavily into this twisted abusive, pedo man. He was not a great guy pre-rebellion, he slept around, was loud and rowdy, but I feel like you can’t really say that Lyanna somehow predicted that he would be this abusive evil man, tbh it seems like she just disliked his promiscuity which is valid, but in doing the same to Elia, her point gets invalidated in my eyes.
Also next point is the age-situation.
Now i know that obviously in a real life situation, a 14 year old girl is at no blame for the groomer actions of the adult…. however just look at how GRRM perceives this. like not as an “oh medieval girls married at 14, its fine” because they were still mentally children… but i mean how GRRM perceives relationships akin to R-L and characters by Lyannas age in ASOIAF-verse.
Ok so GRRM thinks R-L is romantic, which means that the groomer undertones aren’t necessarily meant to be there, and its meant to be more of a Romeo-Juliet situation (which heavily fucked over Romeos girl Rosaline ie Elia). He also believes Dany-Drogo and San-San is healthy, so I don’t think age heavily affects characters romantic feeling and actions much then.
Then if we see character Lyanna’s age, they’re treated as adults (yes some do have child impulses but overall adults). You have Robb acting impulsively like a kid, but ultimately being treated as an adult and being killed. I feel like even though they have kid impulses, they’re meant to get adult consequences for their actions.
Also ages as a whole is fucked up in ASOIAF in comparison to real world, like you have baby Rickon Stark going feral in Skagos, you have 3 year old Joffrey Velaryon/Strong squaring up to Aemond, and you even have 11 year old Benjicott Blackwood being an absolute beast of a warrior when in the real-world, he’d be just a kid, useless in defence.

“I am the queen, king’s wife. You will show me the respect as such.” the Lady Lyanna almost hissed, her hands fisted clutching the skirts of her red gown.
Rhaenys done with the blabbering woman stepped a little closer to her, at three and ten she was tall as the lady in front of her “I recognize no queen but my mother. The true wife of the king in the face of gods and men.”
________
Cersei Lannister was beautiful just like her twin brother, she smiled beautifully and hugged Rhaenys as the girl rose “You look just like your mother Lady Rhaenys Waters.”
“Thank you. You are a beauty yourself too, your grace.” Rhaenys spoke smiling but the queen’s smile vanished. The former princess knew her words and what the older woman meant.
_______________
Something changed in the older woman and she tensed “Will he kill me if I displease him?” she asked worriedly, words whispered in high valyrian.
Poor thing, King Rhaegar has his name mixed with dirt. “No, he is a loving husband and a good king but still a man. And man can be monsters.” She said what she wanted say and Queen Eloise nodded understanding what she wanted to understand.
_________
Rhaenys sharply looked at Margaery Tyrell, a sixteen year old girl smiling prettily at her, mocking her “The Rose of Highgarden has filled this court with her essence. I pray it spreads for years filling king’s arms with lots of prince's he desires.” Rhaenys spoke in monotone, with a blank expression on her face.
Margaery Tyrell got up from her seat giving her a sweet poisonous smile “I will perform my duties as a queen, as a wife with great responsibility as I am sure you will do as a subject to the realm. And see you are my daughter now!” She spoke all thorny smile and linked her arms through king’s.
_________
“Queen Ashara. It’s so good to see you again after all those years.” Overwhelmed with emotions Rhaenys bowed as they met in Queens Ballroom.
The elder woman took long strides and hugged her “You used to call me Aunt Ash, Princess Rhaenys. Your mother misses you greatly but she is very proud of the wonderful woman you have become.” She praised and in her voice there was no fakeness.

Discussing Rhaegar Targaryen in this fandom is boring. More than discussing Dany or Sansa.
Rhaegar Targaryen is literally the devil.
Reading this fandom discussion you would think Rhaegar is on par with Crastor or Ramsey. Sometimes the takes about him are literally at odds with the text of the book, subtext, and the main themes explored. I don't know why people are so hypercritical of this character, we have virtually no reliable information on his motivation or actions. I guess it's easier to blame one person for all fallout of the war than to accept it's caused by a Veriety of factors. I really think we could use a moratorium on "Rhaegar Targaryen kicked my dog" posts.
Character are supposed to fuck up and create conflict, their actions are a way for the author to explore a theme. Every single character in this book makes mistakes that have horrible unintended results.
Reducing what Rhaegar and Lyanna means for the narrative, and Jon's themes of love vs duty in particular, to just "Rhaegar Bad" is just a bad faith way of engaging with the story. It's also possibly a less interesting way of reading it but for some people outrage is fun so that's clearly up for debate.
I truly don't give a fuck if "Rhaegar fucked up", but I'm incredibly tired of seeing the character vilified just to have people shouting the same talking points over and over with out any deeper reading of the situation or speculation about alternatives. Until WOW comes out to add new information to the pile, I just think this topic is boring and doesn't justify the 50 bashing posts per week we get.
And I'm incredibly tired of seeing the age stuff being an issue ONLY when it comes to Rhaegar and Lyanna. Y'all doesn't care about age gaps, you just have an agenda. Or you would care about Oberyn, Cersei, Renly, Robert etc fucking teenagers. You don't.
Also....Shout out to the Bobby B Stans who refered to Lyanna as Roberts property and Rhaegar is wrong for stealing her. Thank you for strengthening my conviction that Lyanna Stark could have personally burned westeros to the ground and been justified. I'd support her.

Cursed Targaryen Names
Hello everyone! I think by this point we've all heard the theory that the name Visenya is cursed in ASoIaF, and I recently received this ask here that drew my attention to the fact that the name Aegon doesn't have the greatest track record, either. One realization later, and I arrived at my new theory: All three names from the Conquering trio have been cursed. Maybe by Visenya (I hope by Visenya). So let's go through what happens to all the poor kids that get saddled with these names, shall we?
Visenya
Visenya, who Rhaenyra wanted as a sister when Aemma was pregnant, but who was actually a boy named Baelon. Still, at one point Rhaenyra had declared the baby's name would be Visenya. As we all know, the baby died, and took its mother with it.
Visenya, the stillborn daughter of Rhaenyra. Born with birth defects, with scales on her skin, and with a tail.
Aegon
Aegon the Uncrowned, who was usurped by his uncle Maegor despite being the trueborn and eldest son of the late king, and who was later killed by Maegor at just seventeen.
Aegon, son of Jaehaerys and Alysanne, who died three days after he was born
Aegon, son of Baelon and Alyssa, whose birth killed his mother and who died days before his first birthday, also managing to ruin Viserys and Daemon's childhood
Aegon II, who watched all of his siblings and most of his children die before him in a war they were forced into, who spent his final years disfigured and in agony, and who died in his twenties
Aegon III, who traumatically lost his dragon and thought he'd abandoned his brother to die, whose older half-brothers all died, who watched his mother be eaten alive as a child, and who spent the rest of his life depressed as a result
Aegon IV, who was probably actually insane
Aegon V, who killed not only himself but also his own children and heir in his desperation to uncover the magic of the dragons in the Tragedy at Summerhall
And finally, poor baby Aegon, whose head was bashed in against a wall in front of his mother, Elia
Rhaenys
Rhaenys, daughter of Aemon and Jocelyn, who outlived her two beloved children and was burned alive after being sent on a suicide mission by the same woman she thought killed her son
Rhaenys, the three-year-old daughter of Elia and Rhaegar, who was ripped from beneath her bed and stabbed to death so viciously that Tywin Lannister had to cover her body with a cloak before presenting her to the King.
Also, as a note, there's one instance of one of these three names popping up pre-Conquest: Aegon Targaryen, son of Gaemon and Daenys, who happily married his sister, ruled Dragonstone, and passed it down to his son with no problems. Whose children all survived to adulthood, whose wife did not die in childbirth, and who is not noted to have a particularly gruesome death. This just adds to my theory that this name was not cursed pre-Conquest hehe.

Book Two of Dārilaros hen ōrbar se perzys (Heir of Ash and Fire)
Tumblr media
“Ah! So you’re a Westerosi knight like Jaime! One of the soldiers excitedly speaks to him. A relief to Selmy. But then he realized the voice belonged to a woman. . . The open corridor which his small escort was leading him down offered much light. Without a doubt this soldier was a woman. Her hair was black like a raven’s feathers and just as full. Long, it trailed down her back in a thick braid. Since being in Essos, Ser Barristan had grown accustomed to seeing tattooed faces of all ages and races. Men and women alike, the slave trade didn’t descriminate. Beyond this girl’s teardrop tattoo below her right eye and orange flames on her cheeks, she was very pretty. High cheekbones highlight her dark almond shaped eyes.
“Yes.” Barristan saw the twitch of her bare biceps. A pretty face and a body of a warrior. To him, this female warrior was an oddity. Ladies back in Westeros were dainty and dared not to use any weapon. This woman however had a curved sword strapped to her back and another blade hanging from her waist.
“Where is your armor?” She dances around him, unable to keep still for too long.
The tiny girl that was at the head of them stopped and turned around. “Ilta. Bisa iksis vala hen Vesteros. Istia sagon tolī rāpa.” This is a man of Westeros. You must be more formal.
‘Ilta’, skids to a halt and nods. “Paktot. Kirimvose, Inanna.” Right. Thank you. “Sorry. I am Ilta. Part of the Fiery Hand. Sworn to protect and aid nuha kosh in her journey.”
“You fight?”
Proudly she nods. "I do!"
“You’re still not better than me.” Her companion chuckles light heartedly. She returns the jest with a faux punch to his arm.
Selmy catches ‘Inanna’s’ watchful eyes. She smiles sweetly. “Ah, it’s true then what (y/n) has told us. There are no women knights.”
“She speaks the truth. Not only are there no women knights, but where I come from, women are discouraged from wielding such dangerous weapons. They could hurt themselves.” Right away regret made his mouth seal tightly.
Ilta stares at him before laughing. “Lī hen Vesteros issi sīr dovodedha” Those from Westeros are so silly!
The other two chuckle making Barristan feel foolish. He knew Valyrian. Understood it perfectly. He knew they were bashing on Westeros and the customs. Well, to Selmy their customs were just as strange.
“Women can fight here.” she proclaims after her fit. “It is better than the alternative. And it is an honor to fight alongside nuha kosh. You know where I was before becoming a Fiery Hand?”
No. He did not know.
Haakon grows quiet, a little shifty as he grows uncomfortable. “Ilta, that’s not necessary.”
“He’s probably just like Jaime was when he first arrived here: arrogant and thinking he’s better than us.” She snaps at him and turns on Selmy. Inanna helplessly watches, but she seemed quite used to Ilta’s temper. “I was nothing but a whore in the pleasure houses. The temple initially brought me in to be their whore as well, but when I saw that there were women in their army I knew that that life must be better. And it is. I open my legs for no man now unless I deem them worthy enough.”
Self Consciously Selmy felt his face grow warm.
Inanna stops in front of a door and thankfully saves him. “Here is your room, Ser."
“Who is your champion?” He asks Inanna, hand hovering over the doorknob. There had been nonstop talk of this champion. Not familiar with their odd religion, Barristan was truly in a foreign place. Even though he would not be staying long, he should at least be aware of the customs here.
Her eyes go blank before registering the meaning of his question. Before she could reply it is Ilta who spurts out “Our Lady (y/n) of course! You knew her back when she lived in Westeros. She was a princess back then but now she is something much better.”
“Ilta, gīda (calm). Kesā sȳngagon zirȳla lēda aōha perzys (You will scare him with your fire.)” Haakon intervenes and puts a burly hand on Ilta’s shoulder.
(y/n) again. “What exactly is she now?” He deserved some answers after having traveled for so long.
Inches away from him now, Ilta is tall for a woman. “She is Azor Ahai reborn. Our champion.”
Tumblr media
Barristan Selmy gazes out of his rather large prison cell. A prison cell that held a comfortable bed and a beautiful sight of the lazy rolling ocean. Truly superb, but still a cell no matter how well it was made up. He was a guest under (y/n)’s protection. Princess (y/n ). . . Selmy couldn’t say she looked exactly the same as when he last saw her. Clear that the year she had been gone had been an eventful one. It did wonders for her. Her tanned complexion made her look more appealing, even the scar that was above her left eyebrow. The biggest change though was the sword that hung off of her hip. Immediately upon her arrival he had seen it and wondered if she knew how to use it. Funny how both she and Tyrion, people who one would not normally see wielding swords, now had blades at the ready. The Lannister children were indeed an oddity.
Now she also had terrifying men at her beck and call. Not just men but women as well. The prostitute turned soldier. Seems like anything could happen in Volantis.
This wasn’t the same girl who resided quietly at the Keep. She had power now. That much was clear from what he had observed. Even the High Priest of their temple appeared to be delighted to do whatever she requested. Still, the gentle and tender tone of her voice hadn’t changed. When she turned to one of her robe clad men that held an oddly shaped sword, she spoke softly and respectfully toward him. Most of the people he had seen her interact with apparently adored her. Things were different here.
Which made Selmy all the more wary that he had been confined. He would bide his time though and wait patiently. **
You wiped your face free of tears before shutting your door and starting your way to Rhiannon’s room. Just needing a few minutes to yourself was all you asked of. There was a lot to mourn. Worst of all was a phantom ache you felt deep within where your baby had once dwelled.
Tyrion answered your knock with a grin. He holds up a small wooden cube. “Rhiannon has all sorts of these puzzles in her room! It’s like the chest except smaller.”
Behind him, Rhiannon was at a small table and the mysterious chest before her. Around it were scraps of paper and other oddly shaped objects. Her room was narrow with a tall, slender, window that provided her with decent lighting.
Rhiannon had let you into her room multiple times although she would be rather shy about doing so. Embarrassed and claiming that it was too small and not suitable for you. You had never seen the puzzles before. She must have kept them in the trunk at the foot of her bed.
She smiles and turns in her chair so she could properly greet you. “Nuha kosh I hope all went well.”
“Somewhat. Ser Barristan will be here for just the night, but I fear the Fiery Hands will insist upon keeping a close eye on him.”
“Fiery Hands?” Tyrion returns to his stool that was placed beside Rhiannon.
Winking at him, Rhiannon reveals that the Fiery Hand is his sister’s personal army. To do with as she pleases and order as she saw fit. It was still weird to hear all the power you now had. But it was worth it if it meant impressing a stunned Tyrion.
His eyes are sparkling when he regards you and it makes you blush. “Wow (y/n)! You’re like. . . a king now.”
“Not exactly a king.” Rhiannon explains while unlodging a piece of the box she was working on. Everyone holds their breath and watches as she slides out another piece of wood.
“Rhiannon!”
“It’s coming undone.” Smiling at her achievement, Rhiannon rubs at her tired eyes and sits back in her chair. “But I doubt Thalina made it this easy. I may have been able to do this much, but if it’s important then Thalina would have made this puzzle more difficult so not just anyone could solve it.”
“Maybe she foresaw you helping me.” You smile tenderly. “She knew only you would be able to solve it.”
A dry laugh leaves her along with a tired sigh. “She gives me too much credit. But this makes me feel nostalgic. I like it. Feels like she’s here with me in some way.”
Despondent smile on your face, you knew her bittersweet emotions. Even though Thalina was not related to you by blood in any way, she had been much like an older sister to you in your early years at Dragonstone. Thalina proved to be far better than your actual blood sister.
In support you squeeze her shoulder gently. You would like to consider Rhiannon your sister as well. If you still had Thalina around, you would have wanted her to go to Asshai with you.
Yawning, Tyrion slowly blinks his eyes. He must have had a long journey. You sweep back one of his blonde curls. His hair was so long and wild but surprisingly not matted. Soft to the touch and without splitting. All signs that he had been well taken care of at least during his exodus.
“You are tired. Why don’t I show you to my room. The servants can clean the room next door and make it proper for you.”
“I must know though. . . What’s inside. . .”
“And you will. But I also need rest.” Rhiannon patiently grins. “We will both sleep and when we wake up refreshed, we can get back to work. How does that sound little lord?”
It was enough to satisfy Tyrion as he nodded and let you take his hand. “Sleep well, Rhiannon.”
“You as well, my lady.”
Tumblr media
The very moment Tyrion’s head landed on the pillow, he was out like a light. He was still young and could only take so much excitement. When Inanna arrived to tell you that she had safely delivered Ser Barristan to his lodgings, you nod and tell her to keep an eye on Tyrion. You had left Inniros so abruptly that you wanted to go and apologize to him. And to tell him the miracle that had happened. Only. . . He wasn’t in his cell.
Dread filled you and at once you felt sick.
Shadows became more sinister to you once you put your hand at the hilt of Lightbringer. “Inniros?!”
Silence replied back. You were alone. Running out to try and find someone you bump into Dritan at the top of the stairs. He settles his hands on your shoulders to prevent you from falling back from shock. His ever passive face looks down at you. “Nuha kosh, High Priest Benerro wishes for an audience with you. He has your darkin with him.” When the word ‘darkin’ left his mouth, his lips twisted as if tasting something bitter.
If only you could feel relief at finding out that Inniros didn’t actually escape. Benerro moved fast when he wanted to. And the old priest knew how Inniros made many people at the temple nervous.
Thankfully all was well when you arrived in the large chapel that the priests held their sermons in. You weren’t used to seeing it quite that empty. The majority of the attendees were Hands, many of which had been in the council room when Barristan Selmy had been questioned.
Inniros was in shackles and on his knees in front of the High Priest. Silly of them to put shackles on a darkin who could easily slip into their own shadow and out of their restraints. The red priests and priestesses possessed strange magic though that you knew not to doubt.
“I’m sorry to call upon you on such short notice. All the flurry of today must be wearing down on you.”
“Not at all. What can I do for you?”
The High Priest shakes his head. “Not what you can do for me, rather what this darkin can do for you. I have been told that you have been visiting him frequently in his cell.”
“Am I not allowed to?”
“Oh no!” Benerro holds his hands up. “You are free to do as you please, nuha kosh. All I want is to know your opinion on him.”
Shifting on his heels, Inniros turns around to look up at you. Again he was in this humiliating situation of subservience. Even after all that he had done to you, you didn’t like seeing him on his knees. For the last few weeks you had sat at his level so that you could build trust and familiarity.
“My opinion?” His lone pale eye stared at you without a hint of malice or ill-will. You still didn’t know him that well, only barely scratching the surface of this complex man. “He loves his mother very much. Inniros has proved to me that he has humanity and gentleness. Whatever trouble he has caused me. . . it wasn’t of his own volition-”
“He murdered our brothers, nuha kosh! Your men!” Dritan calls out. Weles glares at him to be quiet but Dritan refuses to obey his commander. “He can’t be trusted. If you let him walk free among us, he will try to kill you again.”
“I don’t believe he will.” Anxious to explain, you are cut off again by another member of the Fiery Hand.
“Nuha kosh, you can’t be so trusting and naive. You have seen what this monster can do in a short amount of time. While you have Lightbringer to protect you our own spells can only do so much for our benefit. He mowed down some of our most high ranking men. Don’t sully Feichin’s name by trusting his murderer!”
“SILENCE!” Weles snapped with a roar of his voice. Those near him flinched from the authority that vibrated. He walked over to the one who had just spoken and backhanded them. So sharp you could hear the sting of it making you inwardly draw back. “I should have you skinned for speaking against nuha kosh. And Feichin wasn’t murdered. He died in battle trusting in Azor Ahai reborn.”
The smacked Fiery Hand seethed, revenge screaming in his eyes as he clenched his fists. Did he dare risk his life by attacking Weles? Such repercussions could involve his own execution. Then he looked at you. Dritan’s gaze added to the heaviness you were feeling. You knew such a look from having received it numerous times in your childhood: resentment.
Realizing his options, he bites his tongue and hangs his head low. “Forgive me, nuha kosh.”
Your cheeks were warm with embarrassment. How in the world were you supposed to reply to that?
For the first time in a while, you thought about your father. How would Tywin deal with this? Everyone considered him a great lord despite his cold demeanor. He was harsh but got the job done.
Weles looks to you for instruction, not budging from his place. He was pushing you more and more to make your own decisions. Azor Ahai called for leadership skills which you had been lacking in all your life. You had been expected to listen and obey. Not step out of line and merely be seen, never heard.
The safest option was. . . “Take him to a cell. He can be dealt with at a later time.”
Surprise widened his eyes when Sirvart and Chetna flag either side of him. There was no fight against them. Ashamed, he followed obediently like a beaten dog. Weles nodded to you and offered a small smile.
“Sounds like you speak highly of the darkin.”
“Inniros. His name is Inniros.”
“Of course. My apologies.” Benerro bows his head. “Inniros, (y/n) seems to speak highly of you. Is there anything you would like to say in return?”
You didn’t expect him to actually speak.“My actions, as (y/n) knows, were purely done out of obligation. I had no idea prior to who she was. I never believed in the own stories my master would tell me of Azor Ahai. Having witnessed for myself the power of (y/n). . . it’s all true. My powers are indebted to (y/n). I have felt R’hllor’s warmth through her.”
His kind words made you heat up from a new kind of blush. High Priest Benerro seemed extremely satisfied with his words as well. “Very well. Inniros, I grant your release from your cell.”
Tumblr media
You’re shaken awake by Tyrion. It looked like Inanna had already helped him get dressed and had brushed his unruly hair. “(y/n)! Wake up! I just checked in on Rhiannon just now. She’s ready to pull out the final piece!”
Scrambling to throw on a robe, your trio leaves your room for the priestess’ chambers. Her long hair was still loose and not in her signature high braided ponytail. Clothed in a simple daisy yellow nightgown, she allows you to enter. The box on her table still looked the same minus a few missing pieces.
“Is it true?”
“I believe so, my lady.” Rhiannon replies and her fingers hover over what you surmised was the piece that would make the whole thing open. Her hair was so beautiful, much like Thalina’s had been before cut off by Viserys. Rippling with soft waves and making a curtain of hair as she leaned forward. She turns her face up at you. “Would you like the honors?”
Heart in your throat, you stand beside her making sure Tyrion had full view. She showed you which piece to slide out. How odd, you would have thought that the chest had been made with solid wood. Never would you have guessed that it was composed of smaller pieces. Tyrion kept close to your side and watched with bated breath.
Easily sliding out, the rest of the box fell apart to reveal a rather large opal that looked like it had scales carved into it.
“A-An opal?”
"It's rather large to be an opal." Inanna comments.
"It's so pretty!"
"There's a note." Grabbing the slip of paper, Rhiannon reads aloud: "(y/n), I give you the true jewel of Dragonstone where we spent every passing day together. There may be a little life left inside.
"It's signed by Thalina. And this is her handwriting." She hands it to you, a little confused of the meaning of the letter.
"From Dragonstone. . . ?" Tentatively you set the note aside and go to pick up the large gemstone. You had never seen such a beautiful stone at Dragonstone. You would have remembered. It was heavier than you thought as you lifted it up.
Why did Thalina leave this behind for you?

MBO Robert's Rebellion: Episode 3
decided it would be funnier to call this MBO Robert's Rebellion (melrosing box office..... get it) but I can't be bothered to change the tag so that's staying the same
please check tags for content warnings!
anyway, this episode!! a completely made up tourney, because there are one or two canon tourneys I'm not gonna fit later on + at this stage it works in terms of assembling a few key characters for introductions and check-ins.
small time skip between this episode at the last btw - let's say it takes 3-4 months to plan a tourney Prev: Episode 1, Episode 2
Next: Episode 4
title for this one: Rhaegar: The Anime
A crowd of men and teenage boys cluster around the lists in the courtyard of the Red Keep, looking to sign up for the Kings' tourney. Standing in the background with his friend Jon Connington (12) stands Rhaegar Targaryen (14). Joncon encourages Rhaegar to enter the lists; Rhaegar wonders if his opponents would only lose to him intentionally, but Joncon insists they wouldn't need to. Rhaegar enters the fray to sign his name
opening creds I guess
Jon Arryn arrives at the Red Keep with his wards, Ned (10) and Robert (11), in tow; Jon's here for a bit of politicking, and to show the boys their first tourney. The three seem in good humour, and Robert, who has a new betrothal, wants to know if his wife to be is pretty. Ned asks how he's supposed to know, she's his sister
They're greeted by Tywin Lannister in the courtyard; as they approach Robert asks if that's the king. Jon Arryn says, may as well be lol
Arriving shortly afterwards, House Dayne. Big zoom on Arthur. Ashara is here too, and waves to Ned when she sees him looking
Later arrives Joanna with the twins. She wonders if it was wise to travel in her state, but King Aerys had specifically asked for her presence. Tywin observes the progression of her pregnancy, and looks the happiest he ever will about Tyrion. Aerys comes to greet Joanna, and, once again, manages to make it weird. This seems to grate on Tywin and Rhaella more than it did back in episode 1
With Aerys and Rhaella in their private chambers. Rhaella wonders if Aerys thinks she doesn't notice how he acts around Joanna. Aerys strikes her for the first time: Rhaella is shaken but not surprised - Aerys is surprised but not remorseful
The tourney grounds: everything's well underway. Rhaegar is competing, and Tywin (sitting beside Aerys in the stands) compliments his skill. Aerys says Rhaegar shouldn't even be competing, given this is a tourney to select a new member of the Kingsguard. Tywin wonders aloud if Aerys would allow Rhaegar to take on Jaime as a squire in a few years, and Aerys ignores this notion
Meanwhile, Jaime (7) is hanging around the stands with other kids, trying his hand against a few young squires. He's pretty good. Cersei sits nearby looking bored, tossing a wooden tourney sword between her hands. Rhaegar passes by, and she looks up distractedly
Robert and Ned approach Jaime to introduce themselves to the future Lord of the Rock. Robert laughs when he sees Cersei too, and wonders aloud which is which. Cersei (who has heard this joke enough by now) pulls a face at him and drags her bro away
More tourney scenes. Lots of crashing etc but none of that shit from HOTD as though every other guy is getting his head bashed in with the edge of a shield can we be serious
Rhaella & Joanna. Joanna wonders how Rhaella came by the bruise on her cheek. Rhaella is reluctant to comment, so Joanna changes the subject - she will be hosting their dear old friend the Unnamed Princess of Dorne at the Rock in a few months (GRRM I swear to god if she doesn't have a name by the next book). Rhaella tries to engage with this news but can't
Rhaegar and Arthur final two!!! I know u didn't see this coming. Arthur introduces himself to Rhaegar, and both seem to have the sense they've already met. Both mount their horses and ride at each other; Joncon losing his mind in the stands, Jaime discovering a new fanboy obsession. Arthur wins to great applause, but takes Rhaegar by the arm and raises his hand to celebrate the prince. The crowd roars, only Aerys looks pissed
Arthur made KG on the field. We get a sense of the gravity and acclaim that comes with this position. Arthur stands, but looks thoughtful rather than anything
Post-tourney bash!! Everyone enjoying a feast in the Great Hall. Aerys still looks kind of sour. Per obligation, he toasts Arthur. Arthur toasts Rhaegar. Everybody clapped :)
Aerys now in a big sulk, decides to take it out by aiming a few jokes at Tywin. Tywin does not prove responsive, so Aerys turns to Joanna and says (well I'm gonna have to type this out thanks AWOIAF) it seems feeding her twins has ruined her breasts. Joanna, lost for words, excuses herself and her children. Tywin shortly follows. Tension at the table
Tywin & Joanna in the Hand's solar. Tywin, in his anger, asks Joanna why it seems Aerys has such a preoccupation with her? It's an accusation, which Joanna furiously refutes, daring him to say more. Tywin doesn't, and nods his head in apology, leaves. Joanna alone, nursing her bump. She winces slightly
Aerys & Tywin alone in the throne room, where Aerys has been stroking his hand along the razor edge of the seat. He has a small cut, and hides it when he sees Tywin approach. Tywin says he will be departing in the morning to see his child born at the Rock, but perhaps Aerys would prefer he did not come back? Aerys like babe what u mean. Tywin like why were you so rude at dinner >:( Aerys says he was only joking w him. Tywin's like no about my wife!! Aerys makes some excuse, says he meant nothing by it. Tywin walks out without another word
In the coach home with the Lannisters. It's been kind of quiet. As they arrive at the Rock, Joanna is in sudden pain - but it's too early. Abruptly, she and Tywin realise what's happening; the children are rushed one way, and Joanna inside the mouth of the Rock

Song (Rhaegar Targaryen)
Flufftober Day 11
Tumblr media
TAGS: Rhaegar/Dragoness!Reader, hijinks & shenanigans, fluff, pining, simping
Viserys loves his big sister.
She plays with him whenever she has time, tells him the most wonderful stories, and sings the sweetest songs. Songs so sweet that mother and big brother Rhaegar smile whenever they hear them.
The young prince has yet to understand the world, but all he knows for sure is that he loves his family and that he can’t wait to play with his future niece or nephew once they’re big enough to play with.
Maybe he should pick some flowers for you from the garden? He saw a small patch of pretty white daffodils earlier…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When word came of Lord Steffon’s successful journey to find a Valyrian bride for Crown Prince Rhaegar, Aerys cackled in maddened delight at the prospect of adding superior Valyrian stock to his line. A feast was haphazardly thrown to commemorate the welcome news.
Rhaegar honestly didn’t expect the expedition to bear fruit, but he didn’t doubt the Baratheon Lord’s word. Apparently, the maiden was of Aurion’s line, a descendant of the dragonlord who proclaimed himself as the first Valyrian emperor. The Targaryens who weren’t even a powerful family during the height of Valyria’s power were certainly below her pedigree.
The prince could only speculate why she would agree to this union when Lord Steffon also mentioned the people of Qohor worshiping her. Mutters about the ‘return of the dragons’ circulated from Qohor and to the rest of Essos, but Rhaegar assumed it was due to the knowledge of the dragonlord she descended from.
He supposes he will have his answers soon enough.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Presenting Her Eminence, Lucifiel of Ainz Ooal Gown, Empress of Valyria and Essos.”
All sound within the throne room disappeared as the Maiden herself seems to have descended from the heavens to grace them with her beauty. It was as if she captured the very first snowfall within her hair as it shone so pure that it put even pure ivory to shame. Despite not having the violet-eyes normally associated with Valyrians, the deep molten gold within your gaze was more precious than any earthly Lannister gold which paled in comparison.
None of your steps made any sound as you leisurely walked towards the Iron Throne, head held high yet not to the point where it seemed like you were looking down upon them. You held yourself like someone who knew their worth, yet did not wield it to suppress or belittle your lessers.
When your gaze connects with his, Rhaegar was at a loss for words and for once in his life showed an expression of…uncertainty and was that…bashfulness?
If this wasn’t such an important setting, Arthur Dayne would have guffawed in amusement already at this rare moment. It wasn’t everyday one could so easily fluster the dragon prince himself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Don’t look down. Don’t look down. Don’t look down. Don’t look down. Don’t look down.“
“Shit. Do they know I’m just faking it ‘til I make it?”
“...Why is this prince so…attractive? Weren’t medieval princes supposed to be deformed from all that inbreeding?”
“Oh fuck. He’s looking right at me. Be cool…!”
I'm convinced people who bash Dany and Rhaegar don’t even read the books and just read the same recycled Reddit / tumblr metas over and over
They didn't get the memo that Targaryen is Martin's favourite House and believe that all Targaryen are villains. But no matter how many meta they write, that won't change that Dany is one of the most heroic characters of the series and that Rhaegar is remembered fondly by most people who knew him.
Ruination In The Name Of Love
actions have consequences as lyanna and rhaegar learn
The young mother watches idly, caressing her stomach, as the newcomers trudge along through the throne room. One set of eyes filled with a resigned sense of shame, the other filled with a murderous rage.
“Your whoreson of a husband has much to answer for!” roared the burly young man as his companion looked onwards through the room in anticipation, as if in wanting of another group to enter the chambers.
Ned Stark in attempt to placate his wronged brother-in-arms spoke softly in pity, “Robert, calm yourself. Princess Elia is not to blame for the mistakes of the prince and my misguided sister.” Yet the youthful Lord Baratheon could not contain his fury and he trembled with rage, unable to resolve the conflicting emotions within himself.
“Misguided! She either was willingly seduced by a married man or was naive enough to run off with Rhaegar for an unknown reason. But regardless she has much to answer for!”
The solemn princess replied, “Lord Baratheon, you are not the only person here wronged and in need of answers. We are allies in pain.”
She continued further, “Worry no more, your anger can be remedied soon as I have recieved word from Dorne that Lady Lyanna is on her way to Kingslanding along with my kingly husband.”
Both Eddard Stark, Robert Baratheon and their entourage of northern men froze their anger and set aside their disgruntled grievances, as if to pause their confrontational attitudes until the aforementioned figures showed up.
“Alright. I’ll settle down. I was irrational in my anger to you Princess, and for that I’ll apologise but I cannot apologise for the fury I will release when your husband and his new mistress arrive.”
“My Lord I cannot find blame with you for that, as I believe I may act the same. Do not think this sinful situation hasn’t filled me with rage too. You and I were both especially disgraced by the immoral actions of our promised spouses.”
A maid rushes in from the outer exterior of the royal building, “Queen Elia, there’s a carriage outside, carrying the Kingsguard along with King Rhaegar and a young woman!”
The statement prompted a roaring temper within Elia Martell. Her mind filled with tension.
The unanswered questions that lingered within her mind for months would now get fulfilled and she could find tranquility in life again, with her children in peace.
“Alas, it appears that the time is now, for my husband and his mistress to fulfill our questions and queries.”
The large golden framed doors roared opening, releasing the image of the band of heedless individuals
A figure, hunched back as if in in shame lumbered on to the central group of characters, hand held in the palm of the silver-haired King Rhaegar while the three accompanying Kingsguard stood beside firm and steady, unlike the others in the room.
“Lyanna!”
“You bastard Rhaegar! Explain Yourself!” the strapping black-haired man bawled with an ever so strong tenacity.
Armoured men rushed fast in front of both Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen, protecting the individuals in preparation for a fury-filled Baratheon.
“Arthur, Whent, that’s enough. Baratheon I have nothing to explain to you.” The Targaryen man spoke in a declarative firm stance.
“Maybe so, but at least you can explain your dubious actions to your lawful wife and to the brother of the woman you stole!”
“He didn’t steal me! I went willingly with Rhaegar, I love him!” screeched Lyanna in defence of her paramour, who continued holding her hand in comfort, glancing only at his beloved mistress.
The Stark man gazed at her in mortification, reassessing his thoughts regarding his sister. The seemingly innocent yet wild, willful wolf of a girl, now responsible for a war of mass atrocities and the deaths of her household’s bannerman, her father and beloved brother similar in temperament to her.
“How dare you say that, do you have no sense of duty? Running of with a married man with no shame whatsoever!” The lawful wife retorted as the Stark wolf-child gaped, both in shame at the retort of her lover’s wife and in astonishment at the prominent bump beneath her dress.
“I’ll admit I may have been hasty in my chance to run away from my betrothal but my love for Rhaegar is true and cannot be denied! The Gods themselves have witnessed our love and gave their blessings, while you clearly shame yourself carrying a bastard child!”
Both Ned, Robert and the royal entourage looked back in bewilderment. How possibly could the Princess- no the Queen be carrying a bastard, and how could Lyanna claim a man already married.
“By the Old Gods, Lyanna! How in Westeros, could you ever marry Rhaegar?” The betrayed Stark man retorted, pain clear in his enunciation, as his brotherly ally stood palpitating in rage.
“A man already, married! How could this be possible!”
The wolf-girl retorted, “True love prevails beyond all, and i would certainly not be claimed by your boarish oaf of a friend when I had fallen for my husband Rhaegar.”
The Martell women snorted in sound both filled with laughter and incredulity, “Is that how you tricked this willful stupid girl, with tales of love and fantasy.”
“Your so-called love story is not a beautiful tale to be told to maidens in want of love for centuries, Rhaegar; It is a ruinous story told to willful children, not to overreach themselves and be selfish. You caused thousands of deaths and burrowed this harlot into our marriage and yet you have no shame whatsoever!”
The aforementioned man finally spoke his thoughts, “Elia, my dear, this was needed for the realm. Marrying a women of ice descent will help our kingdom to greatness in the wars ahead and she could help me recreate the Conquerors, in place of your inability!”
This statement left Elia Martell in a state of shock and laughter, “You blind fool, don’t think I’ve forgotten that you crowned this adulteress while I was carrying Aegon. This excuse for children insufficient and regardless, if you had used your eyes to glance at me, your wife, instead of standing by comforting your whore, then you would be able to see that I am clearly with child once more!”
The lavender-eyed man detached his sight from Lyanna and saw the stomach of his lady-wife, clearly signifying that she had done her duty once-more.
The Stark girl then came forward with a snide gaze, “Clearly this child is a bastard!”
“My beloved Rhaegar would never dare lay with you. Not when he had already discovered me, his true love, Jenny to his Duncan!”
The Targaryen King looked down away from the view of both his lawful wife and illegitimate second wife. Hiding his head away as if not wanting to continue the conversation.
“Rhaegar tell me this isn’t true!”
“It mustn’t be!”
“She’s Dornish anyway, so even if you think it could be yours, who knows how many men this old hag had laid with!” Lyanna screeched with a fury fuelled with her incessant denial.
The sombre man replied indignantly, “Watch your tongue Lyanna! She is my wife and that is my child you are debasing!”
The wolfgirl looked back and forth between the two royal spouses, heatedly moving in anger, while her brother and once-betrothed watched passively.
Robert jeered in a dismissive tone, “That’s exactly what you deserve. You caused this with your actions and you reap what you sow.”
“He betrayed his lawful wife with you, and you dare think he wouldn’t do the same again. Belief in true love didn’t stop him, so finally realise your mistakes. This so-called love killed your father and Brandon, and look where it’s gotten you.”
He walks out the throne room, done with the scandalous actions of the girl he believe he once loved.
The Stark girl slowly loses her sense of entitlement, with the disengaging actions of the man who cause her to act so rashly.
“I’m disappointed Lyanna.”
“Our father and brother died for you. What was it even worth?”, retorts her cherished brother as he too then strides out of the room, rapidly with a fast pace away from the disastrous meeting scene.
The northmen then rapidly follow, lleaving Lyanna alone with the silent dutiful Kingsguard, her husband and Elia Martell.
“I can’t dare to stand here this longer. Your disgraceful actions have shame me too long.”
“I must care for the children; I’ll leave you with your so-called wife Rhaegar.” The now-Queen treads out, heels clanging on the polished floor as her extravagant dress flares itself outwards in chase of her fast steps.
“Elia, wait!”
I love you! This was all for the good of the realm, let me explain, my dear!” Rhaegar bellowed after Queen Elia, pursuing his wife rapidly while she abandoned him as he once did to her.
Lyanna was left alone.
No Husband.
No true love.
No brotherly love. Not even fatherly love.
Alone in her thoughts, contemplating the decisions that got her here. A war all in the name of true love, yet Rhaegar ever so callously abandoned her in favour of his true wife.
Not even Robert Baratheon wanted her anymore. Her actions led to the misery of all.
And all, including her when all she wanted was to love, with a pure all-encompassing love.
But it was a lie. Poor little Lyanna.
Misguided and alone, no family or lover. Only destruction stays with her, the only companion of the wolf-girl, while she ponders her life, with distress her only ally.
I believe that Young Griff is the latest attempt being made by the Blackfyres to take the Iron Throne. That said, I don’t understand a lot of the reasons given for “disproving” that Young Griff is Rhaegar and Elia’s son. The main one that is bizarre to me is that the real Aegon got his head bashed in and that it’s too much of a coincidence that Clegane made it impossible to recognize the baby. But here’s the thing. If Aegon, son of Rhaegar and Elia, had been recognizable ... it woudn’t have impacted whether or not a fake would be used later. The baby was one year old at most and he was seen by less than 0.0000001% of Westeros. This isn’t a situation where there is photo or video evidence of what this baby looked like. Not that that would help anyway. Given how much babies and children change as they grow, it’s very unlikely that anyone would say, “Hey that 18-year-old doesn’t look like the one year old I never saw!”
Since JonCon was living in the Crownlands with his husband boyfriend very close friend, Rhaegar, he would have seen the baby after his birth. He also would have continued seeing the baby around court since it’s likely that JonCon was abandoned asked to remain on Dragonstone with Elia or asked to keep an eye on Aerys King’s Landing, which is why he was chosen to be the King’s Hand. Once Elia and her children were moved from Dragonstone to the Red Keep, JonCon would have been among the 0.0000001% of Westeros to see this baby as he got a little older. He stopped seeing him once Aerys exiled him for losing the Battle of the Bells. Despite having seen Aegon as a baby before his head was bashed in, JonCon is tricked into believing that Young Griff is the same person as the baby. This makes sense because as a Targaryen descended from a bastard line, Young Griff has the silver-gold hair, purple eyes, and extreme beauty of a Valyrian, just as Rhaegar and Elia’s son did. And that’s what matters. Well, that and Daenerys backing up his identity, which is a necessity.
So, yeah. The head bashing in point really doesn’t contribute to the theory imo.
The Rhaelyas have zero cognitive ability it seems. Like Elia has more fans than Oberyn or Arianne apparently so it isn't about loving the Martells just hating Targaryens? Praising Robert for killing Rhaegar or saying he wasn't that objectable early on makes us hypocrites because he later called the murdered children dragonspawn? Have they ever looked in a mirror??
💀💀💀 Rhaegar isn’t ✨all Targaryens✨ lmao. What even is that argument - do you have to like every single character of a family to enjoy the House? 🙃 if I can’t like Elia of Dorne they can’t like Rhaegar, Lyanna, Arthur, Ashara, or any other minor character and yet they do 🫢 hypocrite fans I guess 😭👋
Rhaegar & Robert are honestly twins to me with Robert getting to be a bigger piece of shit because he lived longer but I can’t really take criticism leveled at liking Robert for killing Rhaegar because anyone who says this makes it pretty clear that bashing Rhaegar’s chest in was his only good deed and they can stay mad about it lmao? Like what do you want? I’m also extremely glad Robert died brutally 😭 but I’m also glad he made sure Rhaegar got what he deserved.
Also if they stopped being triggered about people caring about Elia and her children they’d log off and realize that Arianne & Oberyn have vastly more fans then Elia mind you as does Rhaegar and they’d also get over their persecution complex and realize Daenerys, Jon, Arya are probably the most loved of all ASOIAF characters but I don’t think that would be ✨fun✨ for them lol
Winterfell | Pentos
Jon startled awake, hands gripping the blankets around him as he sat. He remembered death, cold and unforgiving, welcome by the second time it came to him. And yet...here he was. He did not feel dead--his breath shuddered through his chest, his heart beat pumped in his ears.
He glanced around, seeing a small, tidy room in what could only be Winterfell. His room, his old childhood room. The same and yet...different. There were tapestries and sundries he was unfamiliar with, not just because he hadn't seen them in years, but because he'd never seen them.
Standing, he wobbled for a moment, the balance of his body unexpected, and when he looked down he gasped. Small breasts appeared in his view and the body that went along with them was more slender and effeminate than he had ever seen.
There was a mirror of polished silver sitting on a table and he grabbed it, staring at himself in the early light of dawn--he had the same hair, though far longer, the same eyes, a long face and pale, pale skin, and yet...and yet he appeared to be a girl.
A girl, not even a full-grown woman.
He searched through his things, finding clothing for a girl, finer than the clothing he'd worn as a bastard boy was, though still nothing like what Sansa might have worn. There were tunics and trousers, as well, worn enough that he knew they'd been used. The sort of things Arya always tried to wear. Something told him she'd made them, this girl he now was.
Hesitating over the clothing, he finally decided on one of the plainer dresses with a huff. He'd come back from the dead (twice, now, if this could be called such), fought White Walkers, ridden dragons, he refused to be afraid of wearing girl's clothing.
His hands moved automatically once he started, falling into a pattern that seemed long-practiced of putting on all that he needed, even of braiding back his unruly curls. The less time he spent actively thinking of things, the more this girl's life seemed to come to him.
Joanna Snow, bastard daughter of Lord Eddard Stark (who still did not know of her mother, which to Jon meant she, too, must truly be the daughter of Lyanna and Rhaegar). She was close to her brother Robb, but closest to her sisters Sansa and Arya, though in different ways. She was the bridge between the two, the peacemaker, and it made Jon's heart ache to realize that in this world they were both better off, both happier, because he was a she.
Shaking himself off, he diligently started through the doors, ready to perform the chores Joanna had before breaking her fast. There was a lot he didn't know, yet, and playing along in this...whatever it was would be necessary until he knew how to escape.
***
Daenerys woke up with a gasp, hands flying to her heart. They felt wrong, as did her chest, and when she looked down...it was all wrong. Too flat, too broad, her hands far too large. Masculine.
She glanced around her, panic flaring before she could start to pull herself together.
The last thing she remembered was Jon kissing her...and stabbing her. The tears in his eyes, the fury in her mind.
She'd heard his story of coming back to life. It was nothing like this.
The room was different than her memories, but still recognizable--she was in Illyrio's manse. That meant...Viserys was down the hall. As soon as she thought it, she knew it to be true.
And once she started thinking through that, more came to her. She was still trying to work through the jumble of thoughts and memories as servants came into the room to prepare her for the day.
It was odd, having men helping her, but her body knew what to do. They bowed and were as respectful as expected, asking "Prince Daeron" if he required anymore from them before she waved them off and settled back into her own mind.
Somehow, she was alive. In the past. Though she was not fully herself. The youngest son of Aerys and Rhaella instead of their only daughter, the girl born too late.
Thinking of her family made her think of Jon again. He had looked miserable, she remembered. Hesitant. Had someone threatened him? Tyrion could have, perhaps, or one of the others who worked against her. Threatened the treacherous Starks that Jon had been so attached to.
She would need to find him earlier in this timeline. The Starks had already sunk their claws deep within him, but she could show him the truth of himself and teach him how to be a Targaryen instead.
As a man, as a prince, she would not be sold off to the Khal. She was trained as a warrior as Viserys never had been, had dabbled in becoming a sellsword once she was a little older and if she could escape his dreams of a throne. She would be no one's victim.
Now she knew that Viserys' fantasies were not so impossible. All she needed to do was find a way to bring the dragons back in this world and the chaos Westeros would fall into because of Cersei Lannister would pave the way to the throne.
The only thing she had to decide on was whether to allow Viserys to take it as her puppet or to get rid of him. He might cause more trouble than he was worth, but he was still her brother. And in this world Daenerys had grown fast enough, large enough, that Viserys hadn't dared touch her as he had in the other. She could be a little more forgiving.
After all, she'd have enough enemies when she abolished slavery among the Free Cities and wiped out the remaining Starks before they could move against her.
Notes:
So as a non-binary person genderswap fics both fascinate me and often feel super awkward. It's worse in stuff set in the modern day or cultures with some level of third gender, but it's awkward regardless, really, even as I like the exploration of how being a different gender might change a character.
I was thinking of time travel fix-it fics for Game of Thrones, though, and it made me wonder...what would have happened if Jon had been a woman and Dany a man? Dany would have been able to get away with a lot more and had much more support to begin with...but both of them would still have much different lives and still need to get to that point. So, I decided to do a time travel fix-it with a "genderswap" of their bodies/the versions of them they're replacing, but the minds of their previous life. The two of them will deal in different ways with this, their histories and culture playing a role in it.
It's Dark Daenerys as she's not far from the mindset she had at the end of the series, though dying (and waking up in a body with a penis) sort of shocked her into a calmer approach to it. It's mostly Game of Thrones canon, with just a little of the books throne in here and there.
Greens stanning Targaryens such as Aegon II and Aemond will never not be funny considering 99% of them are Targ antis. Like how does this even work…for example they bash Rhaegar, claim he raped Lyanna and kidnapped her yet Aegon is a canonically confirmed rapist both in the show and F&B (they insist he isn't in the book though, for example that user even called him a "decent husband by Westerosi standards" in another post lmaooo) and Aemond is a psycho war criminal who took a woman whose family he killed (they claim she was fine with it because they hated her for being a bastard) into his bed as a war prize yet they insist the relationship between him and Alys was a tragic love story and "the healthiest relationship in F&B" (according to some shippers), it's no wonder why some thought it was them on the 2024 ASOIAF calendar and not Rhaelya. At this point I think they might be trolling everyone else because there's no way they genuinely believe the things they write.
Enjoy this and also this. And they do genuinely believe the things they write.
