She was a clever, capable, spirited, proud, fierce and fearless woman. She had a fiery temperament.

Rhaenys was gently shaken awake. The sheets beneath her rustled a bit as she moved, the night shift she wore rode up as she squirmed trying to get away from the callous hands that shook her awake. Her mind was foggy and disoriented as she stirred awake. Rhaenys sprung to life when her mind finally registered that someone was with her, in her chambers, late at night. Her eyes searched wildly in the darkness, desperately trying to catch a glimpse of the stranger. “A man does not wish to harm the Princess,” the voice came out in a low tone, almost like a faint whisper, “The Princess must remain calm,” the voice was masculine and Rhaenys felt the fear within her tremble.

So apparently Rhaenys, daughter of Rhaegar, and Brienne of Tarth were both born in the same year. And suddenly the semi protective nature Jaime extends to her makes more sense, especially when it comes to the threatened rape and the loss of hand.

Think about how Rhaenys died while he was elsewhere. Think about how she killed. Think about who he killed with the very hand that was taken.

the sheer hold this au has on me, oof.

Anyways, i've been reading too much mxtx, so more yi-tish influence for our boy Jun.

I headcannon Jun as the calm diplomat, but only until his family is safe. Elia's boy in heart and soul, no matter his appearance. A lot of self-hatred, lets himself get hurt easily, almost as a source of penance for looking like his father.

Used to learn the guqin (um violin? no thats erhu yeah zither) but stopped because Rhaegar played the hard (also stringed instrument). He now plays dizhi (flute like my boy wei wuxian).

Wears white, a pale sort of orange, and lavender and light blue. Does not wear red at all.

Does not want to stand out, stands out anyways, so he's learnt to take advantage of it.

Very Yue Qingyuan sort of person, calm and gentle until you cross his line and then it's a quietly slit throat and you should not have said that, no one can insult/hurt my family.

Has a special bond with both his sisters, with Rhaenys for remembering the early years after the rebellion, and with Senya for sharing hair color and standing out.

His younger brothers are gremlins (if i read the five children thing right) and he loves them very much.

Very close friends with Jon (Dayne? Stark? i go with dayne). Both of them often feel as though they do not belong.

Feverently hates the concept of destiny, shattered several ink-pots until people stopped mentioning 天命 (tiān mìng) and 得命 (dé mìng) or heavenly mandate in front of him.

Looks like a cinnamon roll, can and will kill you, or for you in case of his family.

Elia dies and awakes on the day of her wedding. Armed with the memories of her previous life, she is determined not to let them come to pass. She will make the Seven Kingdoms regret they ever underestimated her.

In another part of the Red Keep, the Gods of Old Valyria send Rhaegar back in time to fix his wrongs and ensure the survival of House Targaryen. Rhaegar knows his madness and hubris led to the destruction of everything he loves and cares for. Never again.

AU: The Gods and fate reverse the hands of time. Elia seeks retribution and Rhaegar endeavors for redemption. In one life, they were husband and wife. In this one, they might just be each other’s biggest adversaries.

welcome readers, both new and old, to a revised version of hourglass :) it'll be, for the most part, similar to the OG version but i will be revising it and maybe cleaning up plot holes or introducing new details.

now that fall semester is over and law school isn't looming over my head, i went down a memory lane and reread hourglass. i remember the joy i had in writing it and planning everything out. i remember the love you guys showed. i got this urge again, to continue the story. i want to say it had been a mistake deleting it and letting those weird, hateful stans get to my head, but i thought it was a good learning lesson. now i just wont give a fuck and write whatever i want. it's fanfiction that we're writing and consuming FOR FREE. they need to get over their parasocial relationships with FICTIONAL characters.

so i am back and better than ever! to those who have been with me since sunandfire, please show the same love for this version! and to my new readers, welcome to my first babyyyyy! <3

also, now that hourglass is back, i will be focusing on developing it and so i won't have time to update sunset embers for the foreseeable future :( law school is brutal and i can only focus on one work at a time. i don't want to give you guys anything halfhearted so for now, i'll be privating sunset embers... don't worry! she'll be back! i won't delete her!!!
