Hi anon,

Sorry for the delay typed this all out and then forgot to save as a draft 🫡. Rotational lifts are judged differently than the other three categories where the lifter rotating 6 times essentially acts as one of the difficult features and then 2 extra features are necessary for level 4.

P/C opted for the option 2 without Gabi doing a difficult position or change of pose and relied on an exit feature and a rotational lift extra feature.

In this case the RoLi specific extra feature is Gui completing a rotation on one foot, and their exit feature is the sbs spread eagles. IMO I would’ve liked to see an additional linking step like a twizzle or C-step. You could also make a case for the jump being a significant transitional movement I guess but to me it doesn’t meet that threshold. Theoretically this lift could be attempted as a one-arm RoLi as Gabi is actually the one lifting herself the majority of the rotations but Gui would not be allowed to grab her at any point on the entrance or exit which he does in this version of the lift.

In either case, they don’t have to attempt a lift where Gabi’s position qualifies as difficult, and that’s why you see a lot of teams opt for more basic carry style rotational lifts where they won’t in a curve or stationary.

This genuinely happened to me earlier while I was sitting on a window sill in my school building (me and my close friend)

When he came back I stared dead into his eyes and smiled because usually I would "fuck around and find out" so sitting on an open window on the 2nd floor is definitely dangerous (dw I was facing the classroom interior, not the outside)

He straight up went to me, scooped me up, and bridal carried me off the window with ease, take note that he's lanky and is the same weight as me despite having a 7 inch height difference between us, yet somehow he carried me with so much ease

Usually he would tell me to get down from the window a few times before I comply but bro literally went "nuh uh" and did it himself, wtf?!??!? (I am a flustered mess and it literally happened 6 hours ago, I am definitely normal)

Hella botched, but yeah.

Not the big one that the small, straighter scars surround; that was what required the surgery, but most of them are surgical, yes.

He's had several surgeries performed in the ten years since he first received the injury. The intended purpose was so he could regain some mobility without the brace and experience less pain. This was not successful, and has, in fact, achieved the exact opposite.

#it's more like just general shoulder surgery #but yeah the stab wound did absolutely fuck his rotator cuff #also left him with pretty sever muscle and nerve damage #without his brace it's hard for him to lift his arm more than 35° #Storm Hawks #Storm Hawks Dark Ace #Dark Ace #headcanon #in Velocity he's wearing a support brace under his disguise until he can get back into his uniform #yeah I 100% headcanon that the weird piping he wears on his left arm is a mobility aid alongside being a grappling hook

Honestly I’ve always enjoyed the idea of Blitzwing serving as the Kwarrel to Wasp’s Kevin, given how the former would probably sympathize heavily with the latter and try to teach him how to use his current condition to his advantage, but given how Blitzwing’s been shown to not exactly be the best at handling his trauma or dealing with his emotions, I’m not sure if he’d actually be of any real help or just end up unintentionally making things worse.

Ya know, Blitzwing as Wasp's Kwarrel is just such a really cool idea, where are you getting your big brained takes anon haha! We have no idea how Kwarrel knew how to calm an amalgam mutant/osmosian depending on your preference, but we know (this version) of Blitzwing by the time Wasp goes through his Kevin arc fairly well and yeah - good or bad - I also like to think about now 'not-sparked-a-triple-changer' Blitzwing and 'suddenly-fleshy' Waspinator seeing optic to optic and also one-sided 'not the baby!' emotions.

Because my Blitzwing thoughts have been circling around placing his status of triple changer as the result of Autobot experiments rather than the actions of Blackarachnia, I can't help but compare the difference between the canon Blitzwing and this AU one. Maybe canon Blitzwing already has a confirmation bias that Blackarachnia is a hypocrite and has not qualms about modifying other's frames drastically in spite of her own dysphoria, but because canon is canon, they might actually do as you said and make things worse because well- they didn't exactly have an outlet that wasn't the war, and that was forever ago. I suppose on the opposite end AU Blitzwing would probably be better at coaching Wasp through the very drastic frame change, but this time probably has a lot of confusion, betrayal and anger towards Blackarachnia, who having the burden of the TC experiment off her shoulders probably would have bonded over being ones of a kind in vastly different disconnect ways.

God you might get me to kick TFP off it's pedestal in my head, because damn I am rotating these thoughts immensely!
