Roy Chiu is one of my favorite Taiwanese actors. Bring in Tiffany Hsu and it’s a match made perfect couple. The storyline is beautiful heartbreakingly written. It’s the classic bad boy slash good girl Romeo Juliet type of romance. That needs a ten tissue boxes warning before watching warning. It’s well written beautifully acted and if you’re in a mood for a good tearjerker this is must watch.

Man In Love (2021)

My eyes are swollen. From crying again. I don't understand why I love stories like these so much. It must be because of the way the story went, how unironically silly it was, to being one of the most well written, realistically painful plots.

The underrated soundtrack, the evolution of the characters, their unconditional love, the momentary happiness, the inevitable pain...I felt it all as they did. It can make you miss your loved ones along the journey the characters themselves take. It reminded me of my grandpa, the memories we made, the conversations we had and the dreams we shared. Just like I'm sure, everyone else would feel and definitely get reminded of someone seeing this movie.

The leads, Roy chiu and Tiffany Tsu, unbelievable. Crazy acting. They were them, A-Cheng and Hao Ting.

Panel 1: "This old couple, Benita and Gonzalo were going back to Earth after visiting their son who worked at a space station. They were from Chile, from a city named 'Puerto Montt' that they encouraged me to visit sometime. I told them my story". Benita says "That 'Roi' girl sounds like a very interesting person! I hope I can meet her someday!'. The narration continues. "Gonzalo was a lawyer and he told me he had also been a local politician some years prior to all this. Benita was a housewift (although years ago she had been a music teacher). Both explained to me what I should expect and do once I arrived on Earth, in greater detail than what Roi had told me".

Panel 2: "Honestly, I only came to realize how incredibly lucky I had been years later while thinking about it. What are the odds of befriending a human couple who were not only willing to let you get into Earth with them but also to pay for your brand new ID? I promised them that I'd return them the money and the favor as soon as I could".

Panel 3: Sher is taking a bath. He says "They taught me what a 'shampoo' and a 'conditioner' were, and I finally understood why when Roi returned she had a very pleasant smell on top of her usual scent."

Panel 4: Both Benita and Sher are singing 'Chiu chiu' together. Benita is playing Sher's guitar. The narration says "Benita not only taught me how to tune my guitar, but also taught me chords and some of her music knowledge. She also said she loved my voice. That felt very nice".

Panel 5: Gonzalo and Sher are at the shuttle diner. Sher says "Hello! I want one carrot cake and one water! Not fizzy, please!". The narration says "Gonzalo, on the other hand, taught me how to buy food. And while in this shuttle I didn't have to pay, he taught me how to do it too".

I love k-dramas! Some of my favorites off the top of my head: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, the K2, Suspicious Partner, Boys Over Flowers, Faith, Business Proposal. I have plenty more favorites, those are just the ones that popped into my mind fast enough to include them in this ask. The Glory was really good too, but I prefer romance stuff. I also really like Chinese historical romance dramas, and taiwanese stuff (anything with Roy Chiu).

The K2!! YEAH!!

My most favourite Kdrama in existence. Honestly, I love everything that Ji Chang Wook plays (haha, ik I'm biased), so I loved Suspicious partner, the healer, sound of music, and backstreet rookie.

I watched boys over flowers but I actually liked the chinese version (meteor garden) more. And business proposal tho!! It was a very lighthearted change for me. Even tho I prefer crime, thriller, action and intellectual dramas more than romance.

On the other hand, the Glory really is a masterpiece. Loved it. I loved Reborn Rich too!!

Oh and I recently watched The King: Eternal monarch. You should watch it since you prefer romance (if you haven't already). It's really good.
