Ncuti Gatwa's First #DoctorWho Episode, The Church on Ruby Road, to Get Target Novelisation
Just one month after it airs on BBC1 and Disney+, The Church on Ruby Road, will be released as a Target novelsation. This one doesn’t look like previous Target novels, however, not being accompanied by a classic painted cover, but instead a photo composition by the very talented Lee Binding. The book will be out towards the end of January, while the audiobook version is out in February. Here’s…

‘This Is Us fans, if you're looking for your next Milo Ventimiglia fix, you have a few options. He's currently starring in a new TV show, The Company You Keep...And, oh yeah, he's starring in a new movie with Russell Crowe and not one but two Hemsworth brothers. (Release date TBD!)
In a recent interview on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Ventimiglia opened up about working with Liam Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth on their new movie, Land of Bad. Here's a synopsis of the project, for the unfamiliar: "Rookie field air support controller Kinney is embedded with a Delta Force team on a mission in the Philippines. When the team is trapped without weapons, the skills of Reaper, an Air Force drone pilot, become their only chance of survival."
Photos on IMDb from the movie show Ventimiglia and Co. dressed head to toe in military uniforms. This movie looks intense, to say the least—and while the similarities between it and This Is Us may not seem obvious, fans of the Pearsons should still watch. For one, Milo Ventimiglia is in it. But also: The photos are reminiscent of the This Is Us episodes where Jack and his brother, Nicky (Griffin Dunne), served in the Vietnam War. The episodes that took place during that time are some of the most gripping in the show's history. So if the military scenes in Land of Bad are even a fraction as compelling, This Is Us fans will be very happy.
In the interview with Corden, Ventimiglia talked about surfing with the Hemsworths in between shooting. (They filmed on location in Australia, where Luke and Liam Hemsworth are from.) The waves were pretty intimidating, Ventimiglia says, some between eight and 10 feet high. "Those are the biggest [waves] I'd ever seen," he said. "I'd never been out in 10-foot surf, but I paddled out, went into it, Luke disappeared; he was off doing something else, I have no idea. I rode one wave all the way in, and I was like, 'I'm cool. I'm done.'"...’

I really enjoy your blog and I’m just curious to what you think of Justin Hartley, I don’t know much about him honestly
Hello Anon thank you for the ask. I don't know a whole lot about Justin Hartley or how him and Jensen met to begin with, but I'll give this my best shot. Justin Hartley was born January 29, 1977 in Knoxville, Illinois. He started his acting career on Passions as Nicholas Foxworth "Fox" Crane (2002-2006) and also starred on shows like Smallville as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (2006-2011) which on a personal note is actually where I saw him for the first time YEARS ago ha ha, The Young and the Restless as Adam Newman (2014-2016), and then had recurring roles in shows including Revenge as Patrick Osbourne (2013-2014), Mistresses as Scott Trosman (2014-2016), This is Us as Kevin Pearson (2016-2022), and currently plays Colter Shaw on Tracker (2024-). He has 3 siblings, an older brother named Nathan, then a younger sister named Megan who is married to a Josh Jones and is notably in a lot of Justin's posts, and a half sister named Gabriela.
As you probably are aware, Jensen was announced as being cast for Russel Shaw Colter's, older brother on Tracker. I myself plan on watching the show, as a couple weeks ago my mom's boyfriend mentioned the show is decent prior to Jensen being announced for the show. Having looked more into things knowing myself, there are some interesting parallels a friend of mine told me about and also things I've noticed between Justin, Jensen, the roles they play/will play on Tracker and even the roles Jared and Jensen played on Supernatural.
instagram
instagram
Fans and other people including myself started speculating it's possible that Jensen scored a role on Justin's show Tracker after this fan account created the Instagram post below, which clearly turned out to be correct.
Brotherhood/Family
For starters, Russell/Jensen is the older brother of Colter/Justin. Dean/Jensen was the older brother of Sam/Jared. It turns out that on Supernatural Sam and Dean before the first episode stopped talking to each other for 2 years after Sam decided he wants to go to college and stop hunting. On Tracker, it has been 20 years since Mary essentially severed the ties between Colter and Russell. John Winchester their dad also didn't talk to Sam in the same time period. Mary Winchester died when Sam was an infant and Dean was about 4 years old and John is "missing" but still alive when the show airs. However, on Tracker it is their dad Ashton who dies after he fell off a cliff named Devil's Notch and is believed Russell/Jensen who pushed him off by Colter/Justin and their mother Mary Shaw who is still alive. Interesting, on both shows their mother is named Mary. The roles of the dead parent are therefore notably swapped on Tracker and Supernatural.
It should be noted also that it is the 12th episode of Tracker in which Jensen will first appear as Russell airs on Mother's Day, which is May 12 this year. I speculated here that it seems 11 is a bit of a bad luck number for Jensen and noticed it show up on multiple addresses of his as far as numerology goes. In that post, I wrote:
If anyone reading this believes numerology has any significance, I also would like to point out how interesting it is that a lot of the addresses that he's been moving to and buying up since it seems things started to go downhill for Danneel and Jensen in 2018 contain the number 11. Heck, even the Colorado house stopped being listed as of 11/11/2022! In numerology, the number 11 has a lot of spiritual significance as it's said to be a master number and is said to be associated with what some call "twin souls" and soulmates (read the link for more info as to how this could apply here). Weirdly enough, when I was doing research on numerology and the number 11 this at one point showed up from a site called legalreach.com: "A Rule 11 agreement is an agreement between a divorcing couple that outlines how they will handle the divorce process and any disputes that arise. In other words, it's like a prenup for the breakup! It defines who takes what, when assets will be divided, and who gets custody of the kids." Never heard of it before but it stuck out to me while I was doing this research...
In another post, I brought up an Instagram post of Jensen's where he was wondering about the significance of the date 9/10 with regards to the ending The Boys season 3 AND the ending of Supernatural as far as filming dates go. I copied it below for your reference. My speculation of it from another post I created is "The description for this post says "What is the universe trying to tell me? 🤔". Looking at the date, the day after 9/10 is 9/11. Well Jensen, I can tell you one thing that this (and the other 11 related signs you keep missing!) means from Hermes: "9/10/2020 and 9/10/2021 being 1 year apart and 1 day before 9/11 along with several addresses of yours containing the number 11 is us seers telling you that you still have NOT found THE ONE you are looking for"."
instagram
Perhaps 12 is the good luck number Jensen needs to get a bit of a "jump start" on things being back on "the right track". Google's overview of the numerology for the number 12 states:
The number 12 can also be a metaphor for the recursive nature of existence and the opening of new horizons, particularly in the quest for spiritual enlightenment. For example, the number 12 can mark the end of a cycle, which can be a divine sign from guardian angels that you need to learn to let go of the past and look to the future. The number 12 is also strongly associated with the heavens, including the 12 months, the 12 signs of the zodiac, and the 12 stations of the Moon and of the Sun. The ancients recognized 12 main northern stars and 12 main southern stars. In Hebrew, the number 12 signifies perfect government, or God's government. In Christianity, it is the number of Christ's disciples, and it occurs many other times in the Bible, for example, the Twelve Tribes of Israel.
Hmm...
Bobbys!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My friend told me that there is a character Colter goes to for help a lot named Bob Exler. Bobby Singer on Supernatural also becomes Sam and Dean's go to for info guy. Interestingly enough, Bob Exler is seen wearing prosthetic legs on Tracker as seen above. This is because Eric Graise who plays Bobby Exler was born missing fibula bones in his legs, making it so the doctors amputated his legs at a young age. Briefly on Supernatural, Bobby Singer in Season 5 Episode 1 "Sympathy for the Devil" becomes paralyzed from the waist down after killing a demon using Ruby's demon-killing knife. He regains his ability to walk in Season 5 Episode 21 "Two Midnights to Midnight" after making a deal selling his soul to King of Hell Crowley to know where Death is and also regaining his legs, even kissing him to "seal the deal". Interesting parallel here my friend noticed...
Jared/Jensen/Justin Siblings
I talked earlier about how Justin has an older brother named Nathan, as well as younger sisters Megan and Gabriela. Jensen has an older brother named Joshua and a younger sister named Mackenzie. Jared has an older brother named Jeff and a younger sister named Megan. Both Jared and Justin have a sister named Megan. Interestingly enough, Justin's sister Megan is married to a Josh (Jensen's brother's name) and Jensen's sister Mackenzie is married to a Jeremy (both women's names start with M and married to men whose names start with J). I can't seem to find any information about Jared's sister Megan and whether or not she's married, although it does not appear she is if I am to go based off her Instagram page. All 3 of them have a younger sister whose first letter in their name starts with M, and all 3 have an older brother. If we were to go based off of full blooded sibling, we could say all 3 of them are in this sense middle children. Just funny coincidences really. I also cannot help but notice that Jensen and Justin both start with J and end with N and also both have 6 letters in their names...
Smallville
Justin's character Oliver Queen was introduced on Smallville in Season 6 Episode 2 "Sneeze". Jensen's character Jason Teague was introduced in Season 4 Episode 1. While they did not star on Smallville simultaneously, both Jensen and Justin were first seen on the CW on Smallville. Technically, Justin was on a TV pilot for Aquaman (or mercy Reef), which was never picked up as a series but starred later that year on Smallville. They both were on Smallville but were not in the same season together.
Funny enough how with the connections I was talking about with Jared, Jensen and Justin's families, Jason Teague's mom was Genevieve Teague (ancestors of the witch named Duchess Gertrude) on season 4 of Smallville, where Lana Lang was eventually possessed by her witch ancestor Countess Margaret Isobel Thoreaux. In the show it was revealed that when Margaret Isobel Thoreaux was burned at the stake she cursed Duchess Gertrude''s heirs by vowing to wipe the entire family out when she rises again. Funny how Genevieve Teague was killed being stabbed in the chest with one of the 3 power stones on Smallville and Ruby played by Genevieve Cortese (now Padalecki) was stabbed in a similar location on Supernatural by Dean, Jensen's character. Given some of the other posts I've been making in recent weeks relating to Genevieve and black magic, the timing for Jensen Ackles being announced to work on Tracker with Justin Hartley, both of whom were on Smallville but at different times, is quite curious at the very least.

New J2 in the making?
To wrap this up, do I detect a possible new J2 in the making? It should be noted here how some people on Twitter have been talking about how "romantic" some of the Tracker promo photos with Jensen and Justin together appear. I admit the tone of the Supernatural promo photos with Jared and Jensen versus the Tracker ones with Jensen and Justin off set do have a bit of a different tone if you catch my drift. Tracker was already renewed for a second season, and it seems that Jensen has a labeled chair on the set of Tracker. Possible hint we will be seeing more of Jensen on Tracker in Season 2? He did say lately that if all goes as planned, it will be a busy year. Look below for some screenshots of some interesting reactions/posts/comments related to the Tracker promo photos, notably from Tom Welling, who was Clark Kent on Smallville the same show Jensen and Justin both starred on.
Those of us who are in the fandom are well aware of the Jared/Jensen "J2" tinhatters stuff, where some fans believe and speculate they are in a secret relationship and did from the get go. Seems that Jensen and Justin's work relationship with Tracker is starting off with some similar reactions from people...

It seems to me, Sophie love Perry more. Perry might break her heart. I wonder whether Perry family and friends would be classist snob bullies towards Sophie. As, that was what happened to Kate Middleton.
Prince Wiliam's friends called her "Door To Manual", "Wisteria Sisters", etc. Mind you Kate Middleton is from a multi millions family. Meanwhile, Sophie is from a normal income family. Sophie's parents is not a millionaire. Left alone, multi millionaires or billionaires like Kate and Olympia families.
Why do you think Perry and Olympia breakup? Perry's family probably want a billionaire heiress like Olympia. Instead of, a normal girl like Sophie.
Why do you say that, anon? They both seem very into each other, and I would say that Perry is the one that looks the most besotted, smitten, enamoured, love-struck and more synonyms.
I hope neither of them hurt the other, whatever the circunstances.
Perry's family are basically rich hippies, not the classic aristos, before aristos, they are rich. None of his older sisters is married with another aristo, for example, and I don't even sure if those husbands are close to be as rich as the Pearsons.
And there's even some old stories about one of Perry's aunts eloping with a handsome Argentinian polo player when she was only 17, and another one marrying some caribbean reggae singer or something . . . .
Perry didn't study at Oxford like his ancestors or Cambridge, or any other Russell Group of Institutions (Ivy League equivalent), like some of Sophie's childhood closest friends (none of them from "a normal income family") did. Perry attended University of West London, that I suspect isn't full of aristos, billionaires or even millionaires like him . . . .
So, I don't see Perry's family being bullies towards Sophie.
And about his friends, aristos and non aristos, from the pics I saw they were all nice and even fascinated by Sophie.
Now, I won't be comparing Perry with William LMAO (Poor Perry 😆)
Stupid people that feel superior to others exist in any circle, so it's sad to read that Kate endured all that, at least I hope William defended her or something, like Harry did and like I expect Perry does if circumstances warrant.
Btw, I'm not that sure that Sophie is from "a normal income family," since normal income familes can't pay private schools for 3 kids , among other exterior signs of wealth from her family registered in interviews since she became famous.
And about Perry's ex, reports say they grew distant since the end of 2022; and during early 2023 they were seen together just a few times, the last time was in May if I'm not wrong, but by June they were definitely separated, both attended Glastonbury with different groups, while his ex was with her friends and siblings, Perry was there with his older brother family. By July, Perry's ex was celebrating her birthday without him in Italy, while Perry was presenting awards at his estate Polo tournaments and visiting family and friends in Spain and US, he was even seen in the Burning Man festival in Nevada enjoying his life without a girlfriend.
So, I wouldn't say that Perry's family want a billionaire heiress like his ex. I doubt they have a say in his romantic life, and he clearly didn't want to be with his ex anymore, hence they broke up last year.
I recommend you to check some Greek Royal forums where you can see that not even greek royal stans like Perry's ex that much, they don't think highly of her, so she's not such a good match as some pr press articles say.
And I definitely not going to call Sophie a normal girl, because she's not, not even in comparison with whatever other woman. Let's be honest.

Ten Books To Know Me
Rules: 10 (non-ancient) books for people to get to know you better, or that you just really like.
Tagged by @softest-punk, thank you for utterly derailing my afternoon into nostalgia <3 My problem is less not picking ancient books and more not picking exclusively Canadian and English children’s lit published between 1995 and 1999. (Still the first three picks all the same though because it is like, the opus within which my psyche is almost wholly contained.) This got long but I'm going to be very brave and not apologize about that at all. I love talking about books, and these are some of the books I love the most. In chronological order of arrival into my heart.
Some of the Kinder Planets - Tim Wynne-Jones This book has been a part of my life for so long I cannot remember when, exactly, I first read it - only that it was taken from my gran’s shelf; Tim had sent her a copy with a lovely inscription. It’s a short story collection which remains today (and forever) my favourite format. Ted Chiang’s Exhalation, Karin Tidbeck’s Jagannath, Karen Russell’s Orange World, Margaret Atwood’s Stone Mattress are all fabulous examples, stacked before me at my desk, but Some of the Kinder Planets itself lives (alongside my two most precious childhood stuffies) at my mum’s house, the safest place of all. The stories are kids being kids in the way you want to read as a kid yourself: clever and wondering and scared and brave. Special mention also to his Zoom trilogy, beautifully illustrated in black and white by Eric Beddows.
Skellig - David Almond Another book likely pilfered from my granny’s library. There’s a little magic in Some of the Kinder Planets, but here is ALL the magical realism, and it changed me. This book has a sickly bird-or-man-or-angel in a garage being nursed to health by a boy with an ill baby sister in hospital that he can’t help at all; the indelible image of surviving off bluebottles and then getting snuck Chinese takeaway and brown ale; nature and weird kids and William Blake poems. I will weep if I continue thinking about it.
[Not Any Book But Just A Lot Of Books] - Kit Pearson, Diana Wynne-Jones, Kenneth Oppel, Philip Pullman, Madeleine L’Engle, etc. Listen, I know this is an INSANE cop-out but if you know the authors you know more or less exactly what I mean. These are the books that made me more tender than I already was, made me believe in Good, and Kindness, and Love, in a totally immutable way I thankfully do not ever want to change, because I don’t think I could.
Good Omens - Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett My first introduction to Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, and footnotes. Also one of the first books I did not simply pick up because it was Lying Around. I bought it because my older cousin listed it as one of her favourite books on Facebook, and she was (and is) impossibly, horribly cool. I was maybe 13 or 14 and wanted to be cool too. I’ve since read a smattering of Gaiman but I’ve yet to read Terry Pratchett on his own. I’d like to! I know I’d love it.
The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul - Douglas Adams Loaned to me by my best friend before we were best friends. It is, apparently, the second novel in the Dirk Gently series, and I remember nothing of it except a very good bit about a couch getting stuck in a stairwell; nonetheless it’s listed here because this is clearly actually a thinly disguised chronology of sentimentality, and also because Douglas Adams is a wonder and delight to read and I don’t need to fully remember the book to know that in my bones. I’m not sure if it’s fair but I’ll also blame Douglas Adams for my inability to be brief and to resist using semi-colons. Could’ve been someone else. But it was definitely someone English.
Sailing to Byzantium - W.B. Yeats This is not a book, but it was in my English Literature textbook in high school, so it counts. If it wasn’t, I would still count it. Why a sixteen year old girl connected with a poem that begins “That is no country for old men.” is irrelevant, as is every stanza but the third, which contains the fateful, ruinous lines: “Consume my heart away; sick with desire / And fastened to a dying animal / It knows not what it is;” I remember when I read it, and I remember the chill feeling of Yeats’ spectral hand reaching all the way from his grave in County Sligo, across the whole Atlantic and the enormous landmass called Canada, to reach into my chest and cruelly grab my own heart, and I remember thinking How, and Exactly. The first thing I read that named the strangeness I felt inside of me. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost of all my teenage angst. Written on my bones to this day, if I’m being honest.
Hamlet - Shakespeare We got off on the wrong foot, after I was personally victimized by the line ‘Brevity is the soul of wit’, but I do love Shakespeare. I credit this to having an excellent teacher for it, and reading it aloud in a cohort of tryhards and musicians and theatre kids. A case of familiarity breeds...appreciation, actually. We did a lot of Shakespeare, but we were asked to learn 20 lines of Hamlet specifically, and rewrite them, marked down for every error. Forty lines for bonus marks. There was much grousing and it seemed like a cruel, outdated task of rote memorization, but writing this a decade later, I am belatedly realizing this was a sneaky way to get a bunch of kids to recite a soliloquy so much that they couldn’t help but find the life in it, the rhythm and meter to make it stick in our minds. And now look! I love it! I am writing fanfic in iambic pentameter! Wherefore art my fucking restraint!! I learned my lines so hideously well that when I pulled up the scene just now (2.2, from “Yet I, a dull and muddy-mettled rascal peak”), I a) noticed and b) was offended by, minute differences from the version I memorized, which I then searched out and knew the moment I found. Incredible?!
Still Life With Woodpecker - Tom Robbins The most recent time I’ve read a work of fiction and been rearranged by it, at the tender age of 21. here I am, I wrote, in my journal, after a very good sob, happier and more rudderless than ever. This man writes with totally unfettered joy and unhinged sincerity, two things I am hopelessly into, but also with a deep distaste for institutions and conformity that I desperately needed back then: lost, returned from a year of magical realism and the sort of adulthood growth spurt that makes you feel dizzy, home and yet horribly missing the home I’d made for myself elsewhere, all my nearly-fulfilled ambitions towards security and prestigious government postings feeling sort of hollow and reeking in my hands. It comforted me that I wasn't wrong as much as it spilled my own guts into my hands, and while I went on for another year seeing things through, it planted a seed that quickly grew proper roots and pushed me right off the ledge of respectability. And it’s a love story, of course.
It’s his prose that sits glowing on the horizon to me when I try to write richly: a distant shore of orgiastic language (from which you can surely hear the wind-carried cries of people fucking day and night), towards which I, still shy and prudish, ever point my prow.
How to Be Happy - Eleanor Davis A comic collection. Sharp and wonderful and alive. Another Best Friend gift (bless those around us with impeccable taste), of which every single panel is MARVELOUS. I meant to share one of my favourites here but apparently it has! Gotten up and left!! I will buy another copy in hopes of coaxing it back out of wherever it’s hiding.
Down to Earth - Monty Don This did not rearrange anything. But it does give me a good hug about it, so to speak. A month-by-month gardening guide which is chock-full of brilliant, sensible advice, and also so cheerfully comforting in a highly specific English way that I actually feel like I’m drinking a cuppa whenever I read a page or two of it. It makes me think of my grandmother. And so we’ve come full circle, eh?
I hope some of you are now nodding thoughtfully and thinking, well, Chrissakes, that explains it. Very sorry, hope this helps, etc. Passing on the tag to @fancy-rock-dove, @chubsthehamster, @broomsticks, @wordsinhaled, @btwimkindagay, @hardly-an-escape, @xx-vergil-xx, @that-banhus, and anyone else who wants to expose themselves on main and chat about their fave books

Welp, Bucky confirmed for Thunderbolts… This is troubling lol. I feel like there might be ways to make it work but I really just have no faith in these people so I guess I’ll watch it, hate it and die mad about it. Excellent!
I was avoiding all MCU news in the hopes this wouldn't eventuate =/
I'm going to attempt to look at this as objectively as I can. Firstly, neither Zemo nor Sharon were announced. This doesn't necessarily mean Zemo won't appear, but if he does this probably means it's a smaller role, which is good.
Secondly, it's a decent team of actors. I mean, in general the MCU has been blessed with fantastic actors, but I'm sure Seb will enjoy playing off people like Florence Pugh and Wyatt Russell, who are both capable of such nuance and pathos. Before anyone jumps down my throat - because fandom has a propensity to do this - I'm not saying Seb's previous co-stars were not capable of them, but Seb has talked a lot recently about how much he enjoys working with new people and learning things through that experience.
Third, the main writer announced is Eric Pearson, so let's look at his track record. On the positive side, he was one of the head writers for Black Widow, which managed to acknowledge that the Widows were victims of brainwashing and could not be blamed for what they did under that brainwashing. The script also alluded to the fact that the Winter Soldier program was working on removing the subject's voluntary control over even basic motor functions such as breathing, and drawing a parallel between that and the Widows. If I looked purely at Black Widow's script, I would be cautiously hopeful that the Thunderbolts would do justice not just to Bucky, but to Yelena and Ava as well, who were both also victims of having their autonomy taken away from them.
What worries me, though, is that Pearson was also on the team for Thor Ragnarok, which didn't deal too well with nuance and grief. He was also the writer for at least 8 episodes on Agent Carter, and I haven't seen any good neutral writing (particularly where Bucky is involved) recently from Carter fans in the MCU writers room. And finally, it's unclear just how much his Black Widow script was polished up by other writers - after all, wasn't he the one that came up with the god-awful "are you on your period" joke, and ScarJo talked about how she, Florence and Cate Shortland were all horrified when they did their first reading and felt compelled to turn it into a statement?
What really grinds my gears about the concept of the Thunderbolts is that for the last few years the MCU has gone by protagonist-centered morality. Neither Yelena nor Bucky had a say in what they chose to do, Ava was indoctrinated in a similar way to Wanda was, and you could even argue Walker was too by military propaganda and Alexei by Russian propaganda. These are not people who made a moral decision to be grey, and I don't see why they get to be called a bunch of reluctant antiheros who have to be conscripted to do something good when many of them have been wanting to do good...when rage-driven mass murderers like Clint still gets the hero treatment. Thunderbolts would be a fantastic way for people like Bucky and Yelena to address their tormentors, and for people like Ava and Walker to make a statement against large military/para-military organisations indoctrinating their people by dehumanising both them and their enemies.
But let's be real, Disney won't do that.
