Notes: Finished chapter 3! So far I’ve done a chapter a night which is funny because that sentence came up on Duolingo in the last lesson I was working on (Scríobhaim caibidil gach oíche). This chapter can be summed up with: “Ryn has an existential crisis in a box.”

“We’re the Secretaries. That’s what we call ourselves, anyway.” Ryn didn’t have to be that good at reading people to see that Zion was proud to be a part of this group. “Causing trouble for Ouroboros Corp one annoyance at a time.”

Annoyances didn’t seem like a very efficient way to save the world, but Ryn kept that thought to herself. “Why Secretaries?” She asked instead. “Doesn’t that mean… someone who helps out CEOs and stuff?”

Zion laughed, and Ryn felt her face flush. That was weird. She had seen her clients blush before, but never thought she was capable of it. Or of embarrassment at all. But Zion wasn’t laughing at her. “I thought the same thing at first. But no, Flux chose the name based on these birds that used to live on Earth. Called secretary birds. They hunted snakes. Kicked the shit out of them, and that’s what Flux says we’re gonna do to Ouroboros Corp someday. Their symbol is a snake.”

That Ryn did know. The logo was branded on the back of her neck. Her hand went to it unconsciously, and Zion noticed. They flushed a bit, too.

“Sorry. Didn’t mean to over-explain.”

“No, that’s alright. There’s… a lot I don’t know.” And a lot she didn’t know she didn’t know.

There are so many more ways I wish I could express how much I love you guys🧡💫 I don't always get to talk with a lot of you and recently I've been having issues with one of my really old cats, and I've been drawing the tbhk manga panels as my favorite moot's oc's, so they aren't requests, just my way of comforting myself. My cat is older than me, which is pretty old for a cat, and she's getting to at least her last few weeks of being with us :(

I don't talk about my personal issues that much because I'd prefer to keep my blog happy and organized, but I know a lot of you have assured me you're open to me talking about it personally to you. There is so many people I would love to talk to more and build friendships that won't be broken. I've also been having issues with my friends in school; as I've been getting more detached from them despite having known them for so long. Another thing I don't say often is how difficult it is for me to actually make and keep friends in real life. I've just been seen as that one quiet kid who sits in the back and is the teachers favorite, which isn't what kids my age are looking for. I'm not complaining with my current friends since I love them, but they all have a bad habit of prioritizing other people, making me feel pretty excluded a lot.

I feel so much more comfortable online them anything. It's a strong source of comfort for me, it's a place where I feel safe, and a place I've met so many amazing people. I know I'm supposed to be comfortable with my irl friends and family, but it feels like you guys are the only people I can actually talk to.

In the most recent CR episode I found it really interesting (and really concerning) that it Laudna's truth about wanting Bells Hells to ripcord out of saving the world came hot on the heels of Imogen's truth about not wanting to save the gods

Idk it could just be me, but it seemed like her truth was just another attempt to placate Imogen's moral confusion, while simultaneously pushing those things back onto the whole group

All it makes me think of is the fanon and 4SD discussions about Imogen and Laudna retiring to a farm and living happily ever after. What are either of their reasons for remaining with Bells Hells at this point, if their truths are that they don't want to save the world?

See, that actually seemed fine to me! Fearne had earlier admitted she felt they were ill-equipped for the job and likely to fail, so it's not just them who feel it, and honestly I think that Laudna's confession was one of the more valid ones that I hope get unpacked. Fjord and Jester made a very similar admission to each in both episode 72 and episode 118 of Campaign 2, of "hey, wouldn't it be nice if we just ran away somewhere quiet and never had to deal with this again" and I think that having that admission and then finding a way forward anyway is a really great moment. I didn't write at length about how Orym's "but we have to work together and do this" has also been a really big factor in the party's dysfunction because I covered a lot of that in my discussion of how he handles his own grief well and the grief and pain of others very badly, but honestly it's good that Fearne and Laudna are getting to "we don't have to do this, this was always thrust upon us because an old guy brought us to a cool orc who hired us to look into some stuff and in the process found out that the comparatively small-time political crook was tangentially involved in a a vast cosmic death cult conspiracy that several of our parents are also involved with."

My issue with Imogen is that she literally said two episodes ago she's never prayed and now she's claiming the gods never listened to her, as well as that her reasoning is the horrifyingly self-absorbed "they don't love her", but I actually think it's fine if this party does not wish to save the gods on the grounds of "we feel underqualified and overwhelmed and like we've been at the mercy of many (mortal) masters with no time to pursue our own interests." And I think that Laudna didn't force this specific thing on the rest of the party; she said they could all ripcord, but didn't say who should do it or who felt that way or force them into agreement.

I've talked about the campaign's earlier pacing at length and I don't want to revisit it at length because it evened out, but more so than any other party, Bells Hells has rarely had self-directed adventures. That's a big reason why they're such a mess; they didn't need to develop the tools to come to consensus because Eshteross or Ryn or Keyleth would give them tasks, so we never actually have delved particularly deeply into what most of the party members want to be doing, which is why we're here with this group that's mostly stuck together because they've had jobs to do. I think acknowledging that is an important step, because the task at hand (scouting on Ruidus) is in my opinion within their abilities, but they've been pushed and pushed and have finally reached a point where they can't just keep going. (This by the way is the underlying premise of this post; this is the fundamental reality of Bells Hells as a party. If you like that the most then hell yeah, but a lot of people who claim to love C3 are blaming the entire plot of the campaign for why the party is a mess which is like, so you like the premises of these characters and dislike the vast majority of the actual story in which they exist, and you really just want the story of Campaign 1 or Campaign 2 but Ashton is there.)

With that said though, I do agree that's kind of at the core of Imogen and Laudna. They're so insular, and that's been claimed as a feature, not a bug, for much of the fanon of that relationship. Like, I think Laudna is valid for this specific statement, but unlike Fjord and Jester, who had established in through the course of the campaign both deep ties to each of the rest of the Mighty Nein and a profound sense of responsibility in general, I find myself wondering why Imogen and Laudna don't go off and live in a cottage together and leave the rest of the party to handle this. I mean, Imogen is also impossibly tied up in the fate of Ruidus, but she dithers about the approach so much I wonder why she doesn't decide that perhaps she should stay out of it altogether and retire to that cottage with Laudna until it's all over.

Personally, my thought is that Imogen does in fact secretly like being the special Ruidusborn Exaltant On The Other Side, especially since she's realized her mother wasn't that (as she had hoped). I agree with the fairly common opinion that Imogen and Ashton are in many ways extremely similar people, but whereas Ashton just got a very brutal wake up call of "your parents did fuck up and you're not built different and your desperate attempt to be something special could have hurt everyone" Imogen is still out here going full Javert on everyone's personal thoughts. So I suspect she won't ripcord out in the end, and therefore Laudna won't. But I do think it's valid for Laudna to bring up, and indeed, one of the many things that would make great progress in fixing this party dynamic would be Laudna independently expressing her own needs some more instead of being Imogen's Yes-Woman or projecting her own desires onto other people as I suspect she's doing with Fearne and the shard.

The Cooking Project: an introduction

So I've posted quite a bit about my issues with executive dysfunction around cooking, which started the summer before Ryn died and have lingered since then. I've tried a few things to break through it, with limited success.

Then: I was talking to some friends recently and we got talking about "grandma recipes". (See also: @triflesandparsnips' work with soaps and lip balms etc.) In that conversation, I realized again both that I have a lot of cooking knowledge, actually, and that I have my own little collection of that sort of recipes.

I've watched food tv since long before food network existed, and I love figuring out and understanding how cooking works. And I have both a stack of index cards accrued over the years, and an actual binder of print-outs and magazine clippings etc etc, some of which date back almost 30 years at this point.

And then I looked at those cards, and OMG, there's so many that aren't quite complete recipes, including a few that don't even say what they are, plus a few that I've never made. The binder, too, is a mix of things I used to make all the time, and some that were purely aspirational.

So I'm trying this thing where I make something from my collection, and make some notes about it. (Yeah, I'm doing ye olde food blogging, what of it.) The idea is to get back into regular cooking not as self-care or maintenance or overhauling my daily life or whatever, but by exploring an old special interest, and enjoying the play of it.

the first recipe: key lime pie from tumblr

At the suggestion of one of these friends, I started with a recipe that I found here on Tumblr, at some point I don't remember when, that I've never made: key lime pie. (Apologies for no link, but I literally have no idea what post it was or even when I wrote it down.)

Recipe text, transcribed:

12 oz can sweetened cond. milk 3 egg yolks 1/2 c key lime juice

mix until smooth heat oven to 350F, prebake graham cracker crust for 15 min pour in filling, bake 15 min cool 30 min on counter, then in fridge for 4hrs - overnight

Notes:

sweetened condensed milk only comes in 14oz cans now. I did some math, and increased the lime juice by one tablespoon.

the recipe as I wrote it didn't say what size pie crust. I bought a 9" and I think an 8" would have been a better choice. the ratio of crust to filling was off and the outer edge was frankly silly looking.

I have, in the past, made graham cracker crust from scratch. it's pretty easy, but also premade pie crust, sure why not.

the prebaking was definitely too long, and it ended up tasting a little burnt. I'd do more like 10 minutes max next time.

I started preheating the oven before I mixed the ingredients, because I know how long it takes my oven to preheat.

if I had the experience, I think I would have made a meringue with the egg whites. maybe next time I'll try it.

I added the info about increasing lime juice, the crust size, and baking timing to my card for future reference.

Final thoughts

I would make it again! The filling was tart and creamy, a nice contrast to the crust, and I've always loved key lime pie. Very easy, tasty, and I've added the key parts of my notes to the back of the card.

Update, a couple of weeks later: ended up freezing two slices, will see if they're good unfrozen. (I have a soft spot for terrible frozen key lime pie slices.)

and we're back with another edition of thisisnotthenerd's d20 stats. this time we're talking character races. mechanically. they are not all italian.

most common character races

a couple of things:

the chart displays the character races as they present within their individual seasons. this is not always reflective of their mechanical races, which is what i'm using to evaluate. if you go into the spreadsheet and look at the notes, you'll see the mechanical race for each character.

some characters are not counted because they do not have an accurate equivalent, e.g. the creepy co-eds and the prefrontal p.i.s. the magical misfits are because i don't know that you can get more variant human than what they have going on.

obviously there are repeats in the chart. those are not counted in the totals.

at the top, as most would expect from d20, is variant human, with 40 characters. this tracks for several reasons; it's a fairly solid race that allows you to start with a feat and tool proficiencies and focuses asis rather than spreading them around. the other reason is that it's used as the base for most characters in most seasons that don't fit the dnd standard races, i.e. tiny heist, a crown of candy, mice & murder, and the ravening war.

next up is actually harengon with 6, though it might not look like it from the chart. that's because all of the stoats from burrow's end are using harengon stats with the addition of at will primal savagery and claw/bite attacks. it's a solid build that fits well for this season, but makes the rabbit comments from the top of the season funnier.

next up is half-elves, with 4 characters: fabian seacaster, danielle barkstock, misty moore, and agnes. mechanically, those marked as faeries are half-elves. they are marked as faerie to distinguish them from fairies, who are also on this list a little later on.

in fourth place is tieflings, with 3 characters: fig faeth, magfelda/maggie, and gertrude. two fo them sit in the same seat in back to back seasons. tied with them are half-orcs: gorgug thistlespring, katja cleaver, and sokhbarr, who is another reskin, much like the faerie characters.

tied for fifth with two each are: bugbear (marcid the typhoon & k.p. hob), drow (lilith (as a reskin) & andhera), changeling (rick diggins & binx choppley), high elf (adaine abernant & efink murderdeath), kalashtar (pete conlan & riva), kenku (chirp & squak), ratfolk [different types] (kugrash & jack brakkow), vampire (squing & may wong), and warforged (car-go jones & pinocchio)

now for the fun part, beyond the numbers:

commentary

a lot of this won't make sense without the notes. if you're interested in reading through this, i'd suggest at least a cursory look.

most of the pc races used on dimension 20 do actually have a standardized background (or two or more) in dnd. generally they stick to the same variants most of the time, usually the ones that grant the best versions of racial abilities. even the reskins have a solid background: kashai->half-orc, faerie->half-elf, the usage of kalashtar stats for pete, frogman->hobgoblin, cat->tabaxi, puppet->warforged, rick diggins as a changeling clicko man. they make sense and make sure that characters have a balance of racial traits.

however there are a few that don't have a standard. some of them only show up in the bestiaries. some are straight up homebrewed or borrowed from 'unofficial' sources. i pieced them together based on wiki info and what i could find on each of these.

drider: from what i found, drider isn't currently playable. i suspect they combined drider traits from the bestiaries and drow/dark elf stats to make lilith. it gives her a bunch of really cool abilities.

ratfolk: this one was tough, because murph and matt used different sources to make their rat-men. murph's likely comes from kobold press, wherein ratfolk are small, with 25 ft of movement, rodent empathy, darkvision, and poison resistance. hell, kug might still be a reflavored dwarf. i don't think so, because he doesn't use any of the racial abilities that would make him a dwarf as opposed to ratfolk, but who knows. matt's comes from adamant entertainment's ratkin, whose ratfolk are medium, humanoid rats, with 30 ft of movement, low light vision, immunity to disease, and proficiency with bite attacks. matt specifically references ratkin during pirates of leviathan, so i'm fairly confident that that's what jack is.

cyborg: gunnie is a base human, but has a lot of cybernetic replacements and so has a few extras that come with it. he gets an additional +1 to any skill, at the expense of augmentation side effects i.e. vulnerability to ion damage. this is a combination of sw 5e's cybernetic augmentation rules with the sw 5e human.

cerebroslug: norman is a base human in sw 5e. that part is easy. i'm pretty sure that cerebroslugs were a homebrew creation based on existing starstruck lore and zac's character pitch. i had to go back and watch a few episodes of starstruck to figure out what he's using, because it sure as hell is not on the wiki. body thief is the one named ability that i can recall. if a creature is incapacitated, the cerebroslug can enter its body start running it. if not incapacitated, the cerebroslug cannot attempt to overpower their vessel. other racial traits allow the cerebroslug to a) retain it's own mental statistics while using the vessel's physical statistics, b) run the body by using piloting statistics, e.g. making piloting checks to run the body upon waking. with enough successes, they stop being required. cerebroslugs are sensitive to cold--they are ejected from their vessel if 20 points of cold damage are dealt to them. they must succeed on a dc 15 con saving throw or be paralyzed upon ejection. i really hope this is actually written down somewhere and isn't just me hallucinating after hours of rewatching starstruck.

owlbear: this was simpler: rue is an awakened owlbear as opposed to a standard owlbear. the adaptations: innate savagery. ancestric physiology, natural instincts, and clumsy are the noted racial traits.

stoat: they're actually harengons as noted previously. they also have the cantrip primal savagery that they can cast at will in order to up the damage of their claw/bite attacks. these stoats are literally built different.

So I have a playlist for the EAH music au I made and I wanted to share some of my favorite specific songs for some of the characters.

(note: these are not what I think their voices sound like, moreso what their musical sound would be and/or the lyrics they would write)

(and another note: not all characters are here as not all character make music. yes they're all in the music industry, but that doesn't mean they write or create music. some do art, some marketing, some are lawyers, hell some are security. so if your fav aint here, they're doing something else)

Dexter: I'm made this whole thing for him but I can't decide on a single sound for him. I feel the closest would be With Confidence. I mean the playlist is long, but seven songs from just one band, from various albums too, I'd say that's one of the top runners.

Darling: since Darling writes the majority of Apple's music, her lyrics are like Taylor Swift songs. But she as an individual is a bit of an enigma. She makes her lyrics sound very much royal, when really she's a rebel, but she's also Wonderlandian at heart. So would she sound like Junie and the Hutfriends? Or maybe Studio Killers? or AlicebanD? very honestly it could be all, none, whatever. I do feel like those could fit her though.

Raven: I know that canonically she's a huge of fan of Taylor Quick but that doesn't mean she can't like other genres or that her own sound can't be different from what her favorite. I imagine her musical sound a lot like Icon For Hire, especially with the album You Can't Kill Us, I think it's a perfect fit for her. Paramore and Avril Lavigne are also close to her.

Apple: Taylor Swift. She is the pop princess and Apple would be too. starting her career at a young age, writing stories she makes up and having her sound change and grow the more she does. But also The Rise and Fall of a Midwestern Princess album by Chappell Roan once she breaks away from the idea of making music solely for the money and fame.

Briar: Ke$ha. just all her music.

Cerise: Disobedient from Steven Universe. it's just so perfect for her. The obvious choice is She-Wolf by Shakira, which is also there for her, but Sadie and the Killers.

Sparrow and his Merry Men: Hats off the to Bull by Chevelle. no thoughts, just vibes. OR (i guess one thought), i know a lot of people dont like him, i am not one of them, i think he's fun and classic stereotypical emo, TX2.

Poppy: genuinely imagine her and Holly writing and singing Something That I Want by Grace Potter about their parents. I feel like Holly and Poppy made like a single album when they were younger and both moved on to do other things but they both still really liked music. Holly nowadays just plays short covers of songs on social media and Poppy of course being a hair stylist that eventually joins Dexter and Darling's band. With a musical sound and voice like the lead singer in Tonight Alive.

Maddie: S.J. Tucker. I'm not a huge fan of her music, a couple songs here and there, my partner is and loves how witchy her sound is. Maddie ain't every witchy, but she is odd and witchy-ness can and is also very weird and goes every which way. one song can sound like a whole different genre from another and I feel like Maddie would very much like that sound. Especially with some lesser known instruments thrown in there. (if we wanna talk about what I think her voice sounds like; Madilyn Mei)

Ashlynn: Ryn Weaver. no thoughts just vibes pt. 2

Duchess: the plot I have for her is that she isn't very musically inclined. except for dancing. she can't play instruments and can barely sing. but she has the look and is willing to do anything to become a pop star. so I have a hard time deciding what she would sound like. except ambience music near a lake. she goes along with the vibe of AURORA. Who knows it could be a Paulo and Lizzy McGuire situation where she's just a pretty face with someone else's voice over hers.

Melody: she could be doing so many different things i dont know how to choose just one. i feel like her true sound is Maggie Rogers or Chase Petra while the music she's kinda forced to have per her Charming Records contract is more like Marshmello. Very electric.

Humphrey: Flamingo by Token. i know no other song by him, and i rarely listen to rap as it isn't my jam. Only reason i know this song was a friend from high school gave me some recommendations.

Meeshell: I like the idea of her sounding like Regina Spektor. A light, smooth, clear voice over music that has clear and distinct beats. Often doing music for movies, ending songs that bring the story to a fitting finish.

Hopper: he doesn't make music per my writing, but he does write lyrics. I feel like he writes things like Cody Fry or Gang of Youths. Horribly beautiful and haunting lyrics that tell stories of death and love and beauty paired with huge symphonic melodies that are overwhelming in the best possible way.

Faybelle: Becky by Be Your Own Pet. It took me some time to figure out what exactly her sound would be but i feel like it would be a lot of loud kinda venting music to get all of her emotions out in any way she can. Even though she can get them out just fine on a normal day (though she would never admit that's what she's doing, always playing it off as not as important as it is to her, especially if it's any feeling other than anger.) sometimes writing music for it just feels better.

Chase: yes I made him an important character cause fuck you, I do what I want. Starset. The song Carnivore specifically. I wanted him to have an otherworldly but grounded type feel. like all wonderlandians though his being more...I don't want to say put together. Cohesive than the others. while the other wonderlandians are somewhat all over the place with their acoustic music, his is electronic and always revolving around a certain theme.

and that's just the current generation.

The Evil Queen has a musical sound like Pat Benatar (a personal fav of mine) though the only reason she ever had any sort of softer sounding music was because of pressure from her manager and company.

Snow White has a sound like Whitney Houston, especially with Whitney's History with Dolly Parton. I don't know who Dolly would be in this, but i dont know where i was going with this train of thought. like i said, no thoughts, just vibes.

Before I do the poll for the extra poly routes, here’s a brief run down of the ones requested…

Ryn & Auberon/Aubera: Chaos, sarcastic naive fae meets mischievous very much NOT naive witch and they both give everyone else a headache. A lot of fucking around in general.

Rei & Kendall: The poly where you’re between the long time friends turning to lovers lmfao. Kendall is hesitant as Rei is the Alpha and you’re you. Once Rei figured it out, they see no issue whatsoever (it takes them a hot minute, however, leaving you and Kendall to suffering).

Rei & Emery: Calm and smart meets well meaning but chaotic. Emery is very much busy between their studies and keeping the two of you in one piece. They’re affectionately exasperated about falling in love and Rei is, as always, absolutely stunned when they figure it out.

Josephine & Rei: Talk about worlds colliding. The alpha of the local werewolf pack and the leader of the local vampire coven. A lot of protectiveness here as well as trying to work together to make their home a better place for everyone. Rei is sometimes to reckless and between the two of you it stresses Josie out a bit lol.

Josephine & Emery: RIP whoever wants to touch you. One of the deadliest witches alive and one of the most powerful vampires at such a young age? You’re set pretty good. Calm and smart meets anxious and smart, so Emery reassures Josie (and you if you have the same issues) a lot. Josie loves helping sort through their old books and hunting down information. Both very quaint bookworms who could kill someone.

What are your OCs' favorite acts of romance/intimacy from their partners? If they don't have a partner, what acts of intimacy would they like to have?

Ooh good question! I'm not sure if I already have this written down somewhere... I guess I'll see tomorrow.

I'll stick with three acts for each character.

Arline Lanes: She'd like to have... someone offering to do her hair, sharing a big coat with someone when it's cold, someone holding her hand so she can have a better balance.

Fox: She'd like to have... someone to just tell everything to (she's very secretive and keeps things bottled up longer than she should), someone that'll hold and comfort her after a mission goes wrong, someone that will put lotion on her scars from fights.

Carina Shepherd: She remembers bits and pieces from her parent's relationship as a child, so a lot of her ideas of romance would be based off that. She'd want someone who would make her coffee in the morning, someone who would want to go on walks together with her, someone who would listen enthusiastically to her about her interests and they'd talk a lot about the things they both like. Nowadays all she wants is someone who won't abandon her or look at her like she's a monster :(

Dannie Karim: Likes when Murphy reminds them to check their bg or to not miss a meal, likes when Murphy uses petnames, likes when Murphy is genuinely trying to be gentle and open with them (Murphy has a lot of issues of her own but is trying to improve as a person, especially for Dannie)

Ryn Halvorsen: Well, they had a relationship.. (It's complicated) but some of the things they liked were when their partner would make them breakfast (it's just that Ryn would be up so early already working with the horses that they'd forget to eat), liked it when their partner would go on trail rides with them and they'd get to just talk, liked it when their partner would massage their achey muscles from a long day of horse training.

Silas Petersson: Likes when Copia shows him something, saying that it reminded him of them (he/they Silas pronouns come to the rescue to make this sentence less confusing), likes when Copia goes on walks with him around the Ministry grounds, likes when Copia and he get to cuddle at night and talk before they go to sleep.

Pigeon: Pigeon isn't the romance type typically but has such a close-knit pack bond with the other ghouls. They like it when the other ghouls include them in activities (since they're not a band member and just a staff ghoul, they get worried about others forgetting about them, but the main ghouls always try to include them), likes when the other ghouls get them snacks that they can't get as easily in Sweden like some American food probably, likes ghoul cuddle piles!

Arith: Likes when Iriel flirts with him, likes when Iriel spends time with him while he's cooking, likes when Iriel is the big spoon occasionally.

Iriel: Likes when Arith watches movies with her, likes when Arith picks out clothes for her, likes when Arith listens to her favorite music with her.

Kaia: Likes when Odel goes out with her, likes when Odel helps wash her hair, likes when Odel preens her wings (this is a huge trust thing considering the state of her wings. The only other people allowed to are her fathers) (though I know that's basically it anyway but it's about the principle)

Odel: Likes when Kaia gets her flowers, likes when Kaia will wrap a blanket around them both and cuddle, likes it when Kaia saves any last bit of food for her.

Eliška Hasek: Likes when Rocket and her have solo missions, likes when her and Rocket polish weapons and tools together, likes it when Rocket wraps her hands when they typically get injured (big trust thing!)

Marigold Rosales: Likes when Peter reminds her to take breaks, likes it when he starts a bubble bath for her, likes it when Peter will take her to some secret hang out spot just for them.

Rosie Rosales-Maximoff: Likes when Allison shows her something duck related, likes it when Allison peels her oranges for her, likes it when Allison holds her close while they're roller skating together.

Allison Dahir: Likes it when Rosie takes her clothes shopping, likes it when Rosie does her makeup, likes it when Rosie leaves little sticky notes all over with cute messages for her.

Lee Quinn: She'd like to have... someone to snuggle up with on the couch watching movies together, someone that would want to do cute date stuff with, someone who would make her feel better after a tough day.

Jelaa Latka: She likes it when Ahsoka cooks with her, she likes it when Ahsoka meditates with her, she likes it when she and Ahsoka look at the stars.

Van Kahl: They would like to have someone that would... fight by their side, someone who would love to help around with the ship and parts in general, someone who would help them relax every now and then. Like seriously they do a lot and need a break. They probably would take a nap or something.
