Hank Voight x Fem!Reader
Synopsis: Reader goes to a bar with the intention of hustling someone in pool, not knowing it would lead to something more.
You walked in with a soft hum, looking around the bar. You were in a cute dress, one that nobody would take you seriously in. It fit your hips just right, snatched your waist, and accentuated your bust and butt perfectly. It was short, but not too short, seeing as you didn’t want to come off as a prostitute. It was looser from the hips down, allowing you to move freely.
You moved to the bar, ordering a fruity drink, stirring it and looking around again, your eyes landing on the pool tables. You watched for over an hour as the men played over and over, and when they finished another game, you took your chance. Throwing a few bills on the bar for your drink, you walked over to the men, smiling. “Hey, can I buy in?”
They all kind of looked at one another, shaking their heads. “Nah, we don’t play with women. Wouldn’t be fair,” one said.
“Glad to see chivalry isn’t dead,” you said mockingly with a shrug. “Alright then, well, I guess I’ll-“
“I’ll play you,” a deep voice cut you off. It was gravely, not like anything else you’d ever heard. It was so unique. You looked to the source of the voice, a pool table in the corner.
Smiling, you walked over and put down a fifty dollar bill. “Great.”
The other men had since gone back to their games at this point, and the man with the deep voice hummed and looked at you. He also put a fifty down on the table. “Hank,” he said, reaching out a hand to shake yours.
“(Y/N),” you replied, nodding as you shook.
With that, you started the game. You purposefully held your stick wrong, hitting the balls horribly. This Hank guy blew you out of the water when it came to the game. He took your money with a hum. “Do you even know how to play pool?”
You shrugged. “I was watching them. It didn’t seem too hard.”
Hank raised an eyebrow, then walked over to you. “Let me show you how to hold your stick.”
You hummed and held your stick wrong again, Hank adjusting your body to put you into a more correct stance. Then, he racked the balls and got up behind you. “Here,” he said softly as he put his chin on your shoulder, your faces touching. You let out a breath as you felt him behind you, his body pressing against yours. His hands overlapped yours as he helped you hit the ball right. The two of you moved as one. “See?”
“Yeah,” you whispered, your face flushed from being so close to the man. You hadn’t really noticed before, but he had muscle to him. That subtle kind of muscle you couldn’t see because he didn’t show it off. He had strong arms and shoulders, and the way his body moved with and against yours was the feeling of bliss. You could barely think straight for a moment until he pulled away, leaving you colder than you’d been before. He played his turn before looking back to you. You walked around the table, still pretending to be confused as to how to hit. Again, his body pressed against you, his unique voice speaking softly into your ear. You wanted to be closer. You wanted this man.
After the practice round, Hank let you be on your own. You smiled as he racked the balls. “You know, I’m feeling pretty confident. Maybe we could raise the stakes.” You put down two hundred dollars on the table.
“I don’t think I can morally take that bet,” he replied, looking at you with a raised eyebrow. “Are you just giving money away today, or what?”
You shrugged again. “I’m sure I can find someone else who will take advantage of a pretty girl like me.” Your eyes met his, and his darkened, having picked up on the double meaning on your words. He let out a breath, then pulled out enough bills to match your bet. You hummed. “You break.”
The game went on quite a long time, but you matched his skill. He didn’t say a word to you, despite your skill level rising higher and higher with each hit of the ball. Finally, when the eight ball sunk into the corner pocket that you’d called, you smiled. “Game.”
Hank hummed and nodded, looking to you. “You hustled me.”
You shrugged once more, taking the money from the table. “That’s what you get for playing with a girl.” Then, you moved to walk out, but he grabbed your wrist.
“Hey, wait, come to my place.”
You hummed and looked him over, then nodded. “I’d be honored to hustle you some more.”
He chuckled and walked you out of the bar, helping you into his SUV and taking you back to where he lived. It had been the night of your life.

A Gentle Voice (Greg Gerwitz x Reader)
Word Count: 2,106
Pairing: Greg “Mouse” Gerwitz x Reader
Summary: You got kidnapped by members of an aggressive incel group, and thought that this was how you were going to die. But a group of the Chicago PD are able to save you; now you just need to help them find the group that did this. Only one problem: You can’t talk.
Warnings: Graphic details of beatings and abuse, mentions of blood, violence against women, and swears.
A/N: So this was based off an idea by an anonymous sender asking for more mouse imagines. And since I am on a break from work (i’m okay, I just work at an elementary school and its summer vacation lol) I thought I would get some writing done :) I hope you all enjoy, and if anyone else has ideas for imagines you want me to write, send me a message!
Tumblr media
I’m going to die.
You still remember the moment where you knew something was wrong when you were walking home from your job at the tech firm. It was late, not crazy late, but late enough where the street lights started to flicker on. The clicking of your footsteps soon stepped in sync with someone else’s, and before you could pull out your phone or your mace, a bag was thrown over your head and with a hard hit with something, you were out.
Now here you were, who knows how many days have passed, in a jail cell of a room, trying to anticipate when your kidnappers would come back for another round of smacking you around with the assorted weapons at their disposal. This group has been trying to extract some info about a set of code you had recently written to help one of the biggest banks in Chicago with their security; you assumed to rob it. You’ve also heard murmurings from outside your door about how they needed the money, for what though you didn’t know.
While curled up in a corner, trying to prepare yourself for the inevitable; that you were not going to make it out, you were shocked by a big BANG that shook the walls that surrounded you. You could here shouting, many voices echoing around as the scuttering of footsteps getting closer and closer to where you were being kept. You tried to push yourself further into the corner, and as the door swung open your hid your head in your lap with your arms over your head for protection.
“Hello?”
Slowly, you raised you head and squinted as a flash of light caught your eyes. In front of you was three people; two men and a woman. They had guns in their hands and bulletproof vests labeled with POLICE.
“Ma’am? Ma’am are you okay?” The taller man asked, his brown hair slicked back and his blue eyes looking at you with concern. With a shaky nod, the woman cop slowly comes over to you and kneels down.
“Are you Y/F/N Y/L/N?” Another nod, and the woman cop looks to her friends then back at you, offering her hand. “I’m Detective Lindsay, and we’re here to get you home.”
A flood of tears well up in your eyes and you reach out and grab her hand, her grip firm and comforting as she helps you up and out of your nightmare.
                                                        ---
Hours have passed, and Detectives Lindsay and Halstead are standing outside a hospital room where you were sleeping off the meds the doctors had given you. Erin and Jay watch you through the window as the doctor walked over to them, clipboard and your chart at hand. “Detectives?”
“Yes.” Erin said, straightening up. “How is she?”
“Y/N is sedated now, but looks like she might be here for a couple days. With contusions on her legs, two broken ribs and a concussion, we would want to keep an eye on her before sending her home. We also had to administer a rape kit after seeing the bruising on her legs.”
“These guys really worked her over.” Jay murmurs, looking at you again before turning back to his partner.
“When she wakes up, please give us a call. We need to ask her some questions about the people that kidnapped her.” Erin hands the doctor her card and is about to turn and walk away when the doctor’s voice makes the cops’ stop.
“That might be an issue.” Erin and Jay turn back around and walk back to the doctor, looks of confusion present on their faces. “When she got to the hospital before being sedated, Y/N stopped answering any and all questions presented to her.”
“Like she’s refusing to talk? Why would she do that?” Jay asked.
The doctor shook their head and pulled their clipboard to their chest, “The head of psych, Dr. Daniel Charles, believes that Y/N has developed Psychogenic Mutism. Basically because of the trauma Y/N has endured, her mind has shut off that part of her brain that allows her to communicate. It’s not that she is choosing to not speak; it is that she feels physically unable to.” They explained, glancing over in your direction as she progressed.
“How long will that last?”
“It could be days, weeks, or it could go on for years. This type of trauma response is very unpredictable because we are not just dealing with the health of the patient. We are dealing with their mental health and it they feel safe and secure enough that their mutism can subside.”
Erin looked over at you again and sighed, hating that not only had the people responsible hurt you and taken away your feeling of safety, they also somehow took away your voice.
                                                      --
Over the next few days, it was explained to you that an investigation was open on your kidnapping and subsequent abuse. A Dr. Charles also visited frequently about what he called your “mutism”. He ended up giving you a whiteboard and marker so you could write, but whenever he brought up your attack, it was like your brain would shut down. The first time it happened, you woke up to Dr. Charles standing over you, telling you that you had a panic attack and passed out. After that, Dr. Charles and others were very careful what to bring up around you.
Eventually, you were released from the hospital and given your own police protection detail just incase those guys tried to take you again. The Detectives that found you, mainly Detective Lindsay, would visit and say how you were, and if you had thought of anything useful to help the investigation, but it was no use. One one day, you were asked to come to 21st District to look at some pictures of possible perps, and you were dreading it. It was the first time you had left the house since being released from the hospital and you had made your apartment your safety bubble; essentially everything in the bubble was good, and everything outside was dangerous. But some righteous part of you wanted to see the people responsible for your attack put to justice, so you got into the police cruiser of one of your protection detail, and made your way to the 21st.
Inside the district, you were met with a sturdy-looking older woman behind the desk of the main floor. She looked like the one in charge, her eyes never wavering even when you walked over to her. The officers with you, you think their names were Burgess and Roman, explained who you were, and you were buzzed up to the upper level which was explained to you that was where the Intelligence Unit was. After arriving to the office space, officers Burgess and Roman were called over their walkies, the sudden noise making you jump.
Officer Roman moved to answer the call as Burgess moved closer to you, “Sorry. It looks like we need to go. Lucky though you are in the safest place for you to be right now.” she said with a reassuring smile. “There is a civilian who works for the unit; he is their tech expert and used to work with Detective Halstead when they were Rangers. We’ll get him to come up and stay with you until the unit comes back.”
You nodded as Burgess and Roman walked down the stairs back down to the main flor of the district, leaving you alone for what feels like the first time in weeks. You took a seat at one of the desks, and fiddled with your hands as the silence around you started to press down on you.
I’m alone...The last time I was alone I was taken...I-I don’t want to be alone...I-I-I
Suddenly the room felt like it was moving, a swaying motion that didn’t bring you any comfort. Your lungs felt like they couldn’t get enough breath as you tried to get more air into them, and slowly your brain realized that you were hyperventilating. You were so concerned with trying to breathe that you didn’t hear someone enter the space you were in or how they moved closer to you quickly. It wasn’t until there was a hand falling on your shoulder that made you jump out of your seat and look up.
In front of you was a man with combed back brown hair and striking blue eyes, wearing a spotted black-and-white button-up shirt and jeans. The look he was giving you was full of concern, but not edging on pity which was mostly what you’ve seen since your attack. It took a second to realize that his mouth was moving and words were leaving his lips.
“-ear me? Hey, can you hear me? You need to breathe, okay? Match my breathing.” He said, his tone calming and rumbling like a faraway thunderstorm. Slowly, you were able to take deeper and deeper breaths, your heart slowing down until the panic attack subsided. Tears started to drift into your vision as a wave of exhaustion encompassed you all the way to your bones. “Its okay, its always a bit overwhelming after an attack like that.”
You nodded as you wiped away your tears to try and regain some composure, but the man didn’t seem bothered by the tears. He gave you a small smile and patted your lap before getting up and heading to the side kitchen. There was noise of ceramic clanking together and the sound of water, and a couple of minutes later he came back with a cup of tea. “Tea really helps. I have a cup after I have my panic attacks and its a nice calming drink to help ground me.” He explained, handing over the cup.
You sip from the cup, the smell of flowers of some kind and the taste of some kind of sweetener warmed your chest and let a small smile appear on your face. The man smiled at your calm exterior before pulling over a chair and sitting next to you, “Officer Burgess explained they were watching over you but had to leave, I’ve been helping the unit on your case so I know you can’t speak. That’s okay though. I’m Greg, by the way. Greg Gerwitz, but everyone calls me Mouse.”
You look over with a confused look on your face, which made Mouse laugh, “Its a very long story, trust me you don’t want to hear it.” You smiled again, a little bigger than before, and you two spent the next few minutes in conversation. Well, with Mouse talking and you listening, but it was the closest to a normal conversation you’ve had in weeks.
“-and then Jay, Detective Halstead, started running around like crazy, shucking off his shirt in the barracks looking for the spider.” Mouse said, laughing at the memory of Jay freaking out because of a spider. You were smiling and before you could even notice, your mouth was moving.
“What happened after that?”
Mouse turned to you in shock, and you stared back wide eyed as your hand came up to your mouth. “Oh my god.”
“Did...Did you just speak?” Mouse asked, his full attention now on your next move. You paused, thinking that you had both imagined that, but then went to try to speak again.
“H-Hi.”
Mouse’s shocked expression turned into a smile, “Hi.”
Just as the two of you were in the middle of a moment, the gate leading to the bullpen downstairs clanged shut with the follow up sound of multiple footsteps coming up the stairs. Mouse and you both turned to see Detective Lindsay, Detective Halstead and a few others walking into the room.
“Y/N, sorry for making you wait. I hope our tech expert Greg wasn’t that bad of company.” Jay said jokingly, giving Mouse a smirk. Before Mouse could open his mouth to reply, you stood up.
“N-No, he was great company.” You said as you watched Detective Lindsay and Halstead’s jaws drop at the sound of your voice. “He even helped me find my voice.”
“So you can talk now.” A voice said as an older man walked out to the front of the group. Clearly he was the Sargent Voight Mouse had mentioned to you earlier, the head of the Intelligence Unit. “Does that mean you’ll be able to help us with your case?”
You looked back to Mouse who gave you a reassuring smile, then turned back to the unit, “I’ll tell you everything.”

Masterlist
"hmm, yours?" "sounds perfect," he replied standing up, grabbing your hands to pull you in close. Pecking your lips, he moved away to grab his belongings quickly, before wrapping you up in his arms and guiding you out of the district.
You were glad you'd chosen his place that night, knowing all too well how irritated your roommate would have been had you picked your place. Regardless, you knew your night couldn't get any better, realising that this man had completely rocked your world, and turned your life upside down within a single day. Not only had you started in a new unit, but you'd also met him, spending the night of your life at his place. Everything had seemingly just fallen into place.
Waking up, you groggily wiped the sleep out of your eyes, opening them and allowing yourself to observe your surroundings. Propping up on one arm, your confusion subsided as the memories of the night before came flooding back to you, a small smile filling your face at the thought. Feeling an arm on your waist, you turned around in his hold, looking down to see the sleeping man below you. Lowering yourself back down face to face with him, you reached your hand out to slowly trace over his features. Grabbing your hand quickly, he lazily blinked his eyes open, a smirk playing on his face. "Morning Sweetheart," he rasped, pulling your hand in and kissing your palm. "Aren't you a sight for sore eyes," he followed up, proceeding to pull your hand further, your body rolling on top of his.
Leaning down, you kissed him sweetly, smiling against his lips as you realised the situation you were in. First day of a new job and you'd already managed to sleep with your boss. God if your mother could see you now, she'd be lecturing you on how wrong this was. But how could something so wrong feel so damn right? Trying your best to ignore the persistent thoughts, you focused back on the man in front of you, watching as he reached up to push your messy hair aside. "Could say the same about you, not in my wildest dreams did I expect to be in bed with the infamous Hank Voight one day after joining his unit," you groaned at the thought, leaning down into the crook of his neck hiding over the ridiculous notion.
You were not oblivious to his reputation, most of the cops in Chicago knew about the hard-headed Sargent. And although you'd come into the unit with a neutral opinion, it was hard to ignore. He definitely went against some rules, and used methods beyond what was expected of the police, but sleeping with an employee? You didn't think that was on the table. "Hmm, so you've heard of my reputation?" he mused, raising an eyebrow, "what do you think? Does my reputation proceed me?" Although you hadn't seen much in your day of working at Intelligence, what you had come to realise was Hank Voight was not a dirty cop for monetary gain like many, instead did so to protect the ones he cared for. Olinsky was like a brother and Halstead a son, and so protecting them only came as naturally to him as any family would, watching out for their own. "You're not as scary as they make you out to be." "Huh, good to know they still think of me as that, the title can only get you so far," pulling you back down next to him, you again laid face to face, heads both buzzing with thoughts of what came next. For you, it was fears of favouritism, would people still give you respect if they knew what had happened? And what if things didn't turn out ok? Would you have to leave the unit to find another?
For Hank, it was much easier. He'd spent the better part of a decade waiting for someone new to come along. Someone who wouldn't replace Camille, but repair his heart and restore that feeling of love he'd once felt. Was it the best that she worked under him? No, but the universe works in mysterious ways, and Hank could only be grateful that his time had finally come.
"Let me take you on a date, give us a proper chance of starting something good," he suggested, trying to ease the nervous tension radiating off of you. Despite the turmoil in your head, his proposition had calmed your nerves significantly, your mind relaxing at knowing that this would not just be a one-night thing. And although a future relationship with him would be complicated, you somehow knew that it would be worth it in the long run. Because why throw away something good before it has even started?
THE END

Greg Gerwitz- Jealousy
Tumblr media
Your POV
My bosses had sent me to work the the intelligence unit in Chicago. Which I was super excited about my best friend Jay Halstead worked there. It’s been years since I’ve seen him. We served together as rangers.
Trudy buzzed me up. I walked up the stairs and was greeted by Sargent Hank Voight. Who I had heard a lot about from my boss. Hank was kind of a big deal.
“Guys this is Y/N L/N the CIA sent her to help us on this case” Hank said. “No way Greg hey” I said. “You know him” Hank said. “Yeah we were in in rangers together this girl is amazing” Greg said hugging me.
“No hug for me” Jay said. “Halstead I’ve missed you” I said he hugged me. “Let me introduce you to everyone else” Jay said. “Alright it’s great to see you Mouse” I said. “You didn’t forget the nickname” Greg said. “Nope” I said he smiled.
“This is Adam ,Antonio , Kim , Kevin and Alvin” Jay said. “Well nice to meet you guys” I said. “You didn’t say that she was pretty” Antonio said. “Oh so what did he say” I said. “That you were very smart, sassy and kind of bossy” Kim said.
“Ah I see” I said. “So let’s get to work Antonio you’ll be with Y/N” Hank said. “Alright sounds good” I said. “So you served with those two huh” Antonio said. “Yeah it was let’s just say interesting” I said looking through the files.
“Jay talks about you quite often” Antonio said. “We keep in touch I just moved back to Chicago” I said. “I see he hasn’t said much else” Antonio said. “Well what’s there to know” I said. “So we got eyes on the guy who’s been kidnapping the girls” Adam said. “We are gonna have Y/N pose as one” Hank said.
“So you want me to get kidnapped” I said. “No you’ll be interested in buying a girl” Hank said. “I fit the part” I asked. “Your young and beautiful so yes” Antonio said. I looked over to mouse he looked a little upset.
I worried about him a lot. We didn’t stay in touch much anymore. I tried but he was distant from me. And till this day I don’t know why. We were very close.
We went down to the basement area. To set up a wire and a camera on me. Antonio was super flirty with me. But I wasn’t interested.
“Mouse will help you get set up” Antonio said. “Great” I said walking over to him. “Hey” I said he said nothing and put the camera on my jacket pin. “Mouse you should probably explain that to her” Jay said.
“It’s fine Jay I get it a hidden camera” I said. Mouse rolled his eyes. He then placed the wire inside my jacket. “She all set” Antonio said. “Yeah you wanna take her out for dinner or something too” Mouse said. “I didn’t mean to do anything” Antonio said.
“Problem” Adam asked. “There’s no problem Ruzek” Mouse said. “There obviously is” I said looking at Mouse. “There’s not your all set” Mouse said. “Alright” I said.
“So you’ll go in pretending to be a buyer and we will catch them in the act” Kim said. “Sounds like a plan” I said. “I was wondering if later you’d wanna grab drinks at Mollys” Antonio said.
Tumblr media
“Can I borrow you for a second just wanna check the camera it doesn’t seem to be working” Mouse said. “Yeah sure” I said. I followed him into his area alone. Everyone waited by the garage door.
“The camera is working perfectly fine” I said looking at the computer. “..well I lied it’s not that” Mouse said. “Then what because ever since I got assigned to work with Dawson you’ve been off” I said. “Y/N .. I’ve” Mouse began to say. “Then what is it I don’t like you being so upset” I said.
“Y/N for the longest time after you left all I’ve done was think about you” Mouse said. “Now that your back I guess I realized my feelings never left” Mouse said. “I know I should’ve told you a long time but after the rangers I didn’t think I’d, see you” Mouse said.
“I reached out a lot” I said. “And I’m sorry for ignoring you I just figured if I told you you’d run” Mouse said. “Tell me what” I said. “Y/N I’ve been in love with you for the longest time, and all I’ve ever wanted was to be with you” Mouse said holding my hand.
“You get me like everyone else your so beautiful smart and just perfect” he said I smiled. “Greg I.. I love you” I said. “I always have when I saw you today everything hit me all over again” I said. He kissed me. I kissed him back.
“Hey.. you guys seriously” Jay said. “Sorry we should probably get to work” I said. “Yeah right you should definitely get back to that” Mouse said. “How’s the camera Y/N” Jay said. “Shut up Halstead” I said.
“I knew you two were in love with each other” Jay said. “Shut up” Mouse said. “Drinks later at Mollys” I said. “I definitely owe you a date” Mouse said. “Your right consider it one of many” I said.

#CHCIAGOPD THINGS I NEED TO SEE IN SEASON 9
1) ALIVE KIM!!!!!!!!!! (I always forgot how much I love Kim till something happens to her and I can only think about her being alive)
2) KIM WITH ADAM AND MAKAYLA! (Adam she is love of your life, tell her that)
3) VOIGHT ON RETIRE (it’s time, after all he done, he can’t be chief of the unit. How Hailey look at him and how she will do his orders?)
4. I want soo bad: Hailey is talking to Jay about what happened, BUT I know it can ruin many of things. Jay loves her and he always be in tough spot with Voight and this time it will be too much. Voight not only cross the line but he also told Hailey she want do the same like him. She ALMOST win with him, but if this case comes to light, she can lose her job, doesn't she?
5. MARRIAGE THING.... I thing Hailey’s head right now is a mess. she knows how much she loves Jay and I think she knows how much he changed her into a better person. maybe before Jay she would do what Voight’s wanted to do, what Voight even told her to do.
BUT if she told Jay what happened it will get messy. I want to see how she talk with Jay about that more then if she didn't do it and Jay can feel like it was a trap when he finally will know(Yes, Jay can feel like it was a trap because of a scale of the ‘problem’)
6. ABOUT MARRIAGE AGAIN.. it is a good time to compare proposal her and jay’s to Erin. Fear was the main factor in both cases, so if Jay know about it he can talk about it with Hailey. How they need to fix it with words, maybe more honesty but marriage won’t solve any problems. and he knows it from the first hand. he never talks about erin, but it good time to tell Hailey how he feels about marriage thing which is connected with fear.
they always used Hailey past and fit Jay in in, showing her how good he is for her. but he has his own past. why they for once can't use it? I know Jesse Lee Soffer always tell in interview how long ago it was, how erin is a past and even how his character forgot about her for the new episodes all of this and I don't thing it's bad, but I only want to see how jay say Hailey it’s not good, and he has bad memory when it happens to him (when fear was a main factor to marriage) a long time ago. it’s not a big thing.
They always leave us with some understatements. When she didnt go to her father but told him she did it, or in the end of 8x14, when Jay is angry at her. In this case i need or i even have to like he not only knows the truth and doesnt tell her about it. I need to see how he talks to her about marriage and how he feels  about it.
Jay is the calm one in this relation and i know Hailey needs it becouse her father was opposite to Jay and she feels safe for the first Time in her life with Jay. But i need to hear jay and how he feels about this.
7. I think it’s time to new sergeant, but It would be interesting if it be someone new and we will see this side of Jay where he takes over a leadership and he would be better than new guy. It would be interesting to see how a whole crew is on his side and how they want to see him as their new boss. Jay is on the ‘right side of law’ and I don't know it will always be good in their job. he is very emotional in some cases and he can't turn it off so in new role he will need to learn that. He needs to learn when he can stay on the other side of law, but not only if it’s emotional to him or it’s about him. How many times his ass wasn’t fired becouse of Voight or Hailey? They did what he couldn’t. He always chases the bad guys but he sometimes forget about his own interest and his own safety.
8. I need some detective test for rest of the crew! FAST!

Don't worry I'm still working on "I wanna be yours" but l've been taking breaks in between cause either learned the hard way that I have to write when I get the motivation not when I force myself.

Hank Voight x Reader Oneshot
Prompt: Fear
(TW: Slight implication of SA, but nothing explicitly mentioned - 2nd person, mostly angst and some fluff)
You ran through the woods, panting.
Your chest was aching in pain, heart pounding heavily against your rib cage. It pounded loud in your ears and in your head, making you want to bury yourself, just to get away from it. It felt like your heart was trying to escape from your chest, pounding, pounding, pounding…
Your chest tightened, your lungs being unable to fill the whole way. You couldn’t afford to stop, to take in a much-needed deep breath. You had to keep running, to keep going, even if it meant your lungs aching in protest at the lack of oxygen to supply your body with.
Meanwhile, your muscles were constricting. They tightened with each passing step, barely loosening enough for you to take the next one. They begged you to stop, threatening to tighten up for good if you didn’t rest. But, how could you rest? How could you when you were running for your life?
The only thing keeping you going was the adrenaline coursing through your veins due to the active footsteps behind you, matching pace. You couldn’t run any faster, and you could feel yourself getting nowhere. You cried out, screaming into the dark woods, hoping someone, anyone would hear you.
The fear of being caught was overwhelming, to say the least. It weaved itself into every fiber of your being, engulfing you like a hot flame would engulf a piece of paper. It burned into you, making the hairs on your neck and arms stand up on edge. You knew this was a loosing fight, but the fear kept you going, trying to run from the man behind you.
You felt something snake around your waist, stopping you in your tracks. You panted heavily, fatigued, knowing it was over. His strong arms squeezed the breath out of you. Defeated, you wound up on the ground, the man on top of you in the dark. You could barely breathe, your head spinning and body aching. He seemed so far away, and yet, here he was, doing the worst things you could imagine to your body.
You heard him say your name, and it sent chills through your spine. You wanted to protest, but you were weak - too weak to move any more. Even if you got him off you, you wouldn’t be able to run. You had nowhere to go. The fight was futile once again, like it was every day and night.
He said your name again, this time stronger, and his voice sounded different. It sounded too deep to be the man who was chasing you. You whimpered in soft protest, feeling arms on your shoulders, moving you. He spoke your name over and over, each time his voice getting louder. It wasn’t his voice. It was someone else’s.
-
When you opened your eyes, you took in a sharp breath and sat up, looking around. The overhead light was off, but the lamp beside you was on, shining a soft and shadowy glow over the room. You panted, hands coming to your body, roaming to find any injuries, only to find there were none. You realized where you were, looking around as your eyes landed on Hank. He was sitting beside you, brow furrowed with worry as he reached out, taking your forearms in his hands gently. “Hey, (Y/N),” he spoke softly. “It’s alright. I’m here.”
You swallowed hard, holding his arms in a soft embrace before pulling away, peeling the covers from your sweating legs. You got up from the bed, still trying to catch your breath as your heart beat echoed in your head. As you moved into the bathroom, you saw yourself in the mirror. You looked ragged, probably due to the lack of sleep in the past few days. You also looked like you’d personally been to Hell and back, making you let out a deep sigh.
Leaning over the counter, you caught your breath, then turned on the cold water, collecting some in your hands and pushing it against your face. As you slowly slipped back into reality, you rubbed the cool water over your arms and dumped some on the back of your head and neck. You ran your fingers through your hair, then turned off the water. You moved back into the bedroom, opening a window to let the cool air hit your wet skin. Breathing in the air deeply, then exhaling into the night, you took a few moments like this, leaning on the windowsill and overlooking the abandoned street below you.
Finally, you shut the window and made your way back over to the bed where Hank was sitting, waiting for you to calm down like you did every night. You sat beside him, putting your head in your hands as your elbows rested on your thighs. He slowly rubbed your back as you leveled your breathing once again. He spoke first. “Anything you need, (Y/N); you know I’m here for you.”
“I know,” you replied back softly, pulling yourself up to look at him once again, then leaning over and pressing a soft kiss to his lips. Hank pulled you down onto the bed, and you laid beside him, pushing your face into his neck. You breathed in his musky scent, pressing soft kisses to the skin. It was an odd thing, wanting comfort in your time of need, but also wanting to give the same comfort.
Hank traced your spine with his fingertips, holding you close and kissing the top of your head as his other hand held your waist firmly. It was the kind of gentle hold that told you he would never let anyone hurt you again. Never.
You weren’t inclined to fall back asleep, but the soothing touches of Hank’s hands made it near impossible to stay awake. The hand you had on his chest felt his heartbeat, which was the final nail in the coffin, and you fell back asleep in the comfort of his arms, content with his comfort despite the constant nightmares which plagued you.

Just asking for you!
If we have an crossover event between Chicago PD and Law And Order Organized Crime, bring together these two amazing cops in Elliott Stabler and Hank Voight...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We could have a Latin Men who's run a Crime Orgazation, maybe some drugs or art stealers corporations...
And if that man was Brazilian, the actor Wagner Moura seems a good addition to the Dick Wolf Universe

“Excuse me.”
A rough gravely voice made 8 year old you look up at the imposingly tall figure above you. You squinted as flurries of Chicago snow fluttered around the two of you, sticking to the cracked cement and dried up grass on the sidewalk. The man had short dark hair and what your child’s brain thought of as “Dumbo-like” ears. He wore a blue and black police uniform and had a shiny silver star badge pinned to his chest.
“Hi,” The man said, moving down to kneel so that you were both around the same height. “Are you lost?”
You stared at the police officer for a second before shaking your head no, “I live around the corner.”
“Oh okay, how about I walk you home? Your mom and dad must be worried about you.” He offered. Again, you shook your head.
“I don’t want to go home. I don’t have a mom and my dad’s mean.”
“Mean?”
“Yeah, he yells and-and one time he pushed me into the tiny table in the tv room and it really hurt.” You explained, not really understanding your situation but something clicked in the police officer’s eyes. “But a lot of the time he gets sleepy from the bottles of smelly juice and the needles.”
The police officer nodded, and looked down the road in the direction you pointed out where you live. There is a long silence as you shifted on your tiny feet, not really knowing what was going on. Then the police officer turned to you and smiled, his eyes warm as they looked at you.
“What’s your name, sweetheart?” He asked.
“Y/F/N Y/L/N.”
“Well Y/N, my name is Officer Hank Voight. How would you feel about riding in a police car and seeing a real police station?”
For the first time since he found you, Hank saw your sad expression change into a huge smile, your eyes lighting up like the skyline on Chicago he loves so much. And he knew then that he was gonna help you out in anyway that he could.
                                                           ---
23 years later...
“Hey, Voight! You got someone outside asking for you!” Lieutenant Kelly Severide called out. You looked up from the cards in your hand and then looked around at your friends on Truck 81 who you were playing cards with.
“Who is it?” You asked, already putting your cards down.
“A woman? Says her name is Carla Jennings.”
Still confused, you got up and made your way out to the bay where the trucks and ambo sat waiting for action. Capp and Joe Cruz were sitting at the Squad table, looking up when you walked in and Joe pointed out a woman who was standing just outside the station. Her light brown and gray hair was pulled into a ponytail and she looked around jittery, her hands popping in and out of her jacket pockets. It was gray outside, another Chicago winter just started and soon enough the snow would fall down on the Windy City.
You walked over to the woman, her jittery motions stopping when she saw you approaching. A smile came on her face, and for a second you thought that you saw her eyes water a bit from the sight of you. “Carla Jennings?”
“Yes, hi.” Carla said, pulling out her hands from her jacket again. It looked almost like she was going to go in for a hug, but stopped and then held her hand out to you. “Y/N, right?”
“Yes, Y/F/N Voight. Is there something I can help you with ma’am?” You asked. Her smile that she had on before dimmed a bit when you said your name, but she forced it back on after you shook her hand and let go.
“Wow, look at you. You’re so grown up now.”
“Excuse me?”
“I-I just, I’m sorry.” Carla wiped away a couple of tears and sniffled, trying not to look away from you. “It’s just its been so long.”
“Ma’am, I’m sorry but I think there’s been some mistake. I don’t know who-”
“Your last name. It wasn’t always Voight.”
You stopped, and looked at her as she walked a little closer to you. You could feel the eyes of your fellow firefighters watching this interaction, then being just as confused as you were. “I’m sorry?”
“Your last name, it was Y/L/N. I’m right, aren’t I?” Carla said.
“Who are you? How do you know that?” You asked. Carla’s eyes started to water again, and she looked at you and sighed.
“Y/N, I’m your mom.”
You look at her, eyes scanning over her trying to piece together what she had said. You weren’t stupid, you knew that she was probably referring to your biological mother, not your mom, Camille Voight who raised you like her own and died of cancer. You had no memories of this woman standing in front of you.
“My mom died in 2011 of ovarian cancer.”
“No, I’m your real mom. I gave birth to you and held you and-”
“Left? You left and you left me with that man.” You said, your voice a little louder then before. She looked stunned, like this was news to her. “I’m sorry but whatever you want, I’m not interested.”
You go to turn away and walk back into the firehouse when Carla grabbed your arm and stopped you. “Please! Please I’m you mom, I’m your blood!!”
You pulled away and turned back to her, “No, you are not my mom. You are a woman who was supposed to take care of me and left me with a drunk of a man before my dad came and took me in. So I owe you nothing.”
“Is everything okay here?” Chief Boden asked, finally walking over to the two of you and trying to catch your eye.
“Yeah, everything is fine. We’re done here.” You said as you took one last look at Carla and walked back towards the house. Herrmann tried to stop you but you walked past everyone and straight into Boden’s office, sitting down and waiting for him to come back inside. The anger you felt before in front of that woman started to settle down, and overwhelming emotions of loathing, sadness, and abandonment bubbled up until you were trying to hold back sobs. The office door opened and Chief Boden, and Lieutenants Casey and Severide walked in, all three circling you in worry.
“Y/N, what happened?” Severide asked, slowly putting a hand on your back and rubbing it up and down. Your crying started to subside, and once you got to a point where you were just sniffling and whipping tears away, you finally looked up to the three men around you.
“Um, so that was my biological mother. And... I haven’t seen her since I was maybe 3?” You explained. You turned to Chief Boden and took a deep breath. “Is there any way I could clock out early? I-I need to see my dad.”
“Of course, you shouldn’t be working with this going on anyway. Take a couple days and come back with a clear mind.”
“Yes sir. Do you mind if I wait inside until she is gone? I feel like she might still be out there waiting for me.”
“How about we drop you off at the 21st?” Casey said, then turning to Boden, “We’ll have our radios on in case there is a call.”
Boden looked at you then nodded, “Go.”
“Thanks Chief.” You said, getting up and patting both Casey and Severide on the shoulders before passing them and heading towards the locker room to change. Your mind was racing as you got out of your work clothes, memories of what felt like a past life, waking up with beer and condiments in the fridge, hand-me-down clothes from the family 2 houses down that felt bad for my situation, but said nothing. Once the image of the red-hungover eyes and gnarled and matted hair came into your mind, you shut your locker, snapping yourself back into the present.
                                                         ---
Once everyone was on 81, the truck headed off into the city to your dad’s district. It was silent as the truck stopped at lights and turned corners, finally you got to the 21st and was about to jump out of the truck when Lieutenant Casey called out to you. “Yes, Lieutenant?”
“I hope you’re able to work everything out.”
You sent a small smile his way, thanked him and jumped out. “See you guys later.”
“See you around, kid!” Herrmann yelled just as the truck took off back to the house. Turning, you started walking towards the station, the patrolmen mingling with others on the steps outside. Once you got in, you saw Sargent Trudy Platt manning the desk as usual and that put a small smile on your face. Trudy was always funny and nice to you growing up, and she treated you almost like a daughter. When she saw that you walked in, and by how observant she is probably catching your puffy face and red eyes, concern completely took over her stature.
“What is it? What happened?” She asked, coming around her desk and over to you, rubbing your arms comfort.
“Is my dad here? I just need to talk to him about something.”
“He’s out right now with Olinsky right now, but I think he’ll be back soon. You sure you don’t want to talk about it?”
“Maybe later,” You said, taking a deep breath and shrugging, “I want to talk dad first.”
Trudy took a second before nodding, “I’ll buzz you up so you can wait in his office.”
“Thanks, Trudy.” You said as she gave your arm a gentle squeeze and walked back to your desk.
“You know you are the only person that I can tolerate, Y/F/N Y/M/N.” Trudy called out. She and Alvin Olinsky, your dad’s best friend, were the only two who got into the habit of calling you by your first and middle name. Instead of it feeling like you were in trouble like it would when you were a kid, it was always met with love. You were just about to start walking up the stairs to head into Intelligence when a male voice called out.
“Y/N? Y/F/N Y/L/N?” You froze, that voice immediately sending anxiety through you like a bucket of cold water. You slowly turned around and found a man trying to stand up from a bench, but was handcuffed to it. He looked exactly the same as he did when you were 8, exactly from when you would see him in your nightmares after moving in with the Voights. His hair was matted and looked unwashed, his eyes red and teeth yellow, and even from how far you were from him, you could smell beer wafting off him. “It is you. Where’ve you been, girl?”
“Danny.” You said, trying to keep your cool. You could see that Trudy had picked up the phone and was whispering something into it, you only catching your name and “get here now”.
“Danny? What happened to dad, huh?”
“You stopped being my dad the minute I left that hellhole called a house.”
“Sorry darlin’, but that’s not how gen-et-tics works. You’re my kin and I will always be a part of you no matter who raises you.”
“Shut up.” You yelled. Others in the station were watching your interaction, you even heard the gate open at the top of the stair and figured that whoever was up at Intelligence came down to see what was wrong.
“Oh, don’t like that now do you? You can try and hide where you came from and clean yourself up, but you will always be Y/F/N Y/M/N Y/L/N, and you will follow in your families footsteps. You’ll either leave like that junkie-whore mama of yours, or you’ll end up like your dear-ol’-daddy.” He smirked as you started shaking, him noticing your reacting and smirking more, “You can’t run from what you’re made of.”
Just as he said that, Hank and Alvin Olinsky rushed into the building, Hank noticing you and turning to Danny who looked like he just won something. “Get him out of here.” Hank said, pointing to a patrolman near Danny. As the officer uncuffed Danny from the bench and recuffed his hands together, he started yelling.
“Ha! Now you got your crooked cop to come and save the day! Just like when you were a kid!” Danny started putting up a fight with the officer, trying to stay in the area, then turned to Hank, “You can take her and gussy her up, but trash is still trash.”
“Get him out of here!!” Hank yelled again, and two more officers ran over and finally took Danny out of the space. You were still staring at where he was when you felt a hand on your arm and harshly flinched.
It was just Hank, and he frown at your reaction to him, not seeing that happen since you first came to live with him and Camille. “Hey, lets go upstairs.”
You nodded, and the two of you walk up to the Intelligence Unit, you can feel the people downstairs all watching after that spectacle. Once you were both safely in Hank’s office, you both sat down in the chairs in front of his desk, Hank’s eyes still on you as you avoid his.
“Why aren’t you at the firehouse?”
“After what just happened, you won’t believe me if I told you.”
After a few seconds of silence, you finally looked up at your dad, and he gave you a look you remember a lot from your childhood with him. It basically said, ‘try me’, which made you sigh and rub your hands over your face.
“This woman came to the house asking for me, Carla Jennings, and ended up telling me that she was my mother. My biological mother.” You explain. Hank looked shocked, him never even knowing your bio mom. “I wanted to come see you so Chief Boden gave me a couple of days to get my head straight. And then that happened.”
“Yeah, Trudy said he was arrested on a DUI that almost killed a little girl.”
“Jesus Christ.”
You sighed, hating that you came from him in the first place. You dropped you head into your hands as the information sunk in.
“Hey,” Hank said, putting a hand on your back and rubbing soothing circles, happy that he didn’t have to see you flinch because of him again, “Don’t you dare listen to his words.”
“Isn’t he right though? I was lucky to get out of that hell of a home because of you, but his and that woman’s genes are in me. Its a matter of time before I screw everything up.”
“Genetics don’t mean shit. Hey, look at me,” You looked up and he had a determined look in his eye, “You may have came from them, but their mistakes don’t rule over what you will do. Look what you have done without them here; you graduated top of your class in high school, and then again when you graduated from the Fire Academy. You showed all those sexists bastards that you are just as good, if not better, than any man on that truck, and now there is word that you might be up for a promotion to squad?”
“What?” You said, shocked with the information.
“Boden called me last week saying that you had been taking the classes needed to get on rescue squad? And because you are amazing and smart and strong, there was word from the higher ups that you might get that open spot on Squad 3 as the first woman in the Chicago Fire Department history to be admitted to rescue squad.” Hank explained. You started to smile as some tears escaped out of a mix of happiness, confusion and some residual feelings from what had happened earlier today. “They’re just finalizing some things but they’re going to announce it at the Fireman’s Ball later this month.”
“Oh my god.”
“And you did that all without them. They had no say on these things, and they will not have say on the rest of your life.” Hank said, pulling you into a hug. The two of you hugged for a while, your tears subsiding as you basked in the feeling of love you were getting from your dad.
“Thanks dad.” You said as you finally pulled away. He smiled and patted the top of your head, sneaking a kiss into your hairline while he was at it. “I love you.”
“I love you too, Goose. Taking you in was the best decision I ever made.” He said, making you smile wider than you were before. A beat of silence passed before there was a knock on the door and Alvin came in, his eyes bouncing from you to Hank in worry.
“Everything okay in here?”
“Yeah, I’m okay. Thanks Uncle Alvin.”
“Yeah, no problem kid.” He said, smiling at you and messing up your hair before turning back to Hank, “Ander’s girlfriend was picked up, she’s in interrogation.”
“Okay, I’ll be there in a minute.” Hank said, turning back to you as Alvin leaves.
You turn back to your dad and smile, “Can I stay in here? I kind of don’t want to go back to my apartment right now just in case that Carla woman knows where I live.”
“Yeah, take a nap on the couch in you want. We’re winding down with this case so when we’re done, you and me can go grab some dinner and we can talk about getting a restraining order on this lady.” Hank said. You were about to argue but you knew he was right. So you you nodded as Hank stood up and left one last kiss on your head before heading out of his office. “I love you.”
“I love you too. Be careful.”
Hank turned just as he was passed the doorway and smirked, “I’m always careful.”
“Oh-kay.” You said, sarcasm in your voice as you could hear your dad chuckle then head towards the interrogation rooms.

Meeting Intelligence
Pairing: Hank Voight x Reader
Summary: The reader meets the intelligence unit for the first time.
Warnings: age gap
Requested by: Anon - hi there! i was wondering if you could do a fic with Hank Voight x Reader where there’s an age gap and they attend their first party together where the team gets the first glimpse at Hank’s new gf or fiancée? thanks!
Words: 581
Tumblr media
You stare at yourself in the mirror, tucking a loose piece of hair behind your ear. Your gaze shifts from yourself to the man stood across the room, the man you were utterly in love with. You smiled, watching as he struggled to tie his tie. You walked over to him, taking the tie from his hands and into your own.
“I can do it myself.” Hank huffed, but didn’t stop you. He watched you intently as you folded the tie into place. Once finished, you smoothed it down.
“There we go.” You smiled, draping your arms over his shoulders. “Have I ever told you how handsome you look in this uniform?”
“Have I ever told you how exquisite you look in this dress?” He countered, hands finding a place on your waist.
Hank leaned forward, placing a soft kiss on your lips. Pulling away, his eyes studied you. “What you thinking about?”
“What if they don’t like me?” You frowned, not able to look at Hank.
“Hey,” he whispered, placing a hand under your chin, pulling your head up to look at him. “They're gonna love you, alright. I love you, Y/N, don’t forget that.”
“I love you too.” You smiled.
~
Walking into the event room, you held onto Hanks arm as he guided the two of you towards his team.
“Im just gonna head over to the bar, you want anything?” You asked, stopping him before the two of you could go any further.
Hank gave you his drink order and you made your way over to the bar. While you were waiting for the bar tender to make the drinks a man about your age leant against the bar next to you.
“Now what’s a lovely looking lady like you doing alone at an event like this?” He asked in an attempt at flirting.
“Well... Officer Ruzek,” you replied, looking at his name badge on his uniform. “I am in fact, not alone, I’m here with my boyfriend.”
“Thats cool, is he a cop?” He asked, slight disappointment in his voice.
Taking the drinks you thanked the bar tender and turned back to the Officer in front of you. “He is, he’s a Sargent.” He followed you as your made your way over to the area that intelligence were occupying. “In fact, he’s just over there.”
Making your way over to Hank, you handed him his drink and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Turning to look at the Officer from the bar, you saw him stood with a look of pure shock.
“He’s the Sargent you’re dating?” He asked, pointing between the two of you.
“You got a problem with that Ruzek?” Hank asked him, placing his arm around your waist protectively.
Ruzek placed his hand up and shook his head, “Nope not at all Sarge.”
“I would like to introduce you all to my girlfriend, Y/N.” Hank said, introducing you to everyone.
Everyone introduced themselves to you and all the worries that you had earlier soon disappear as they welcomed you as if your were a part of the team.

Greg Gerwitz-[Don’t leave me] Chicago PD
Summary: You are Hank Voights daughter, you are a firefighter but you sometimes help your Dad with paperwork and anything he needs at the district. You quickly became close with Mouse. So one day you decided to go tell him how you feel. But that’s the day you thought your life would change forever.
Tumblr media
Your POV
“Trudy oh my it’s busy in here” I said. “Seriously a firefighter gets first” some guy said. “Make it quick kid this place is nuts” Trudy said. “Just here to talk to Mouse before shift” I said. “Well look who it is” Mouse said.
“Look this guy almost ran me over” this lady said. “The crime should really be that pantsuit combo” I said. “Trudy I just need you to sign this” Mouse said. “One second Mouse” Trudy said. “Excuse me my daughter she’s been missing for months” this guy said.
“Well did you file all the proper paperwork” Trudy asked. “Yes they sent me here to you guys” he said. “Mouse when you have a moment” I said he looked at me. “Yeah but Trudy it’s really important” Mouse said.
All the sudden the guy took Mouse hostage and held him at gunpoint. Sean stood in front of me pointing a gun at the guy.
“Y/N just stay behind me ok” Sean said. “Put the gun down” Trudy yelled. “You gonna listen to me now” he said. Everyone cleared out as my Dad came downstairs.
“You drop that gun or we drop you” Kim yelled. “Nobody is dropping anyone” Dad said. “Sarg I got a shot” Sean said. “Whoa whoa whoa” Mouse said. As they backed up to the office.
“Whatever this is we can work it out” Dad said. “I’ve tried” he yelled. “We can help you” I said stepping closer with my hands up. “Y/N just stay there” Mouse said.
“We will help but if you don’t hold up your end we will drop you” Dad said. He went into the office still holding Mouse at gunpoint. “It’s alright were good” Mouse said.
“Upstairs” Dad said. “But Dad I” I said getting teary eyed. I was worried about Greg. I don’t know what I’d do without him. “It’s alright were cool Y/N ok” Mouse said shutting the door.
We all went upstairs. To try to make a plan. I called off of shift.
“You shouldn’t be here” Dad said. “What are you doing to help him besides pointing multiple guns at his face” I said. “Respectfully go to work” Dad said. “No I’m not going to work until I know that he’s ok” I said teary eyed.
“Watch her” Dad said to Jay.
Mouses POV
“Who was that girl out there” Jeff asked. “The lady cop” I said. “No that firefighter Voight I think” he said pointing the gun at me.
Tumblr media
“Oh Y/N” I said with a smile. “Yeah her she your girlfriend or something” Jeff asked. “Thought we weren’t asking each other those questions” I said. “Come on” Jeff said.
“Ummm..she’s the Sargents daughter you know Y/N she’s just perfect” I said. “So what best friends” he asked. “Yeah I mean I’m terrified of her Dad but she’s the complete opposite” I said smiling.
“You know you should tell her” Jeff said. “Tell her what exactly” I said looking directly at him. “Come on man it’s obvious the way you look at her and how nervous you are” Jeff said.
“Out of everyone out there you reassured her that you were ok so I’m assuming that you” Jeff said. “Thing is I don’t know” I said.
Your POV
“We are sending the girl” Jay said. “Alright” I said. “Hey he’ll be ok” Jay said. “I just I care about him so much” I said teary eyed. Jay hugged me tightly. “It’s all gonna work” Jay said.
A little while later Mouse walked up the stairs. I got up and ran over and hugged him.
“It’s alright hey” he whispered in my ear. “I got so worried” I said. “I’m ok” he said kissing my cheek. “We will be back” Dad said. “Alright” I said. “Are you ok” Mouse said. “I” I said he wiped my tears. “I’m alright he wasn’t gonna” Mouse said.
I stayed to help them solve the case. I walked downstairs to find Mouse and Jay in the office area that Mouse worked out of. They were having a drink. I gave Jay a look.
“Alright Mouse I’ll see you tomorrow bye Y/N” Jay said. “Thought you would’ve went to shift by now” Mouse said. “Doesn’t start for an hour” I said. “So you come to hang out with me” Mouse said. “You uh scared me today” I said sitting on the desk.
“It was under control” Mouse said. “But I kept thinking what if it had gone south Greg” I said. “It didn’t” Mouse said. “I just sat upstairs wondering what would’ve happened if he.. and I kept thinking to myself all the things I should’ve said” I said.
“What things” Mouse said looking at me with his beautiful blue eyes. “I just.. don’t know what I’d do without you and truthfully I feel like with you I can be myself” I said. “But the truth is I don’t wanna be just friends Mouse” I said standing up.
Tumblr media
“Then what do you want” Mouse asked. “I want you” I said he smiled. “Hmm” Mouse said. “Greg I’m not kidding around I’m..
I began to say he kissed me. I circled my arms around his neck and kissed him. Everything in that moment was so perfect.
“I love you” Mouse said cupping my cheek I blushed. “I love you more” I said he kissed my head. “And I want you too I don’t care what your Dad thinks” he said hugging me tightly. I felt so safe in his arms. And after today I needed that.
“I don’t care either” I said. “So I guess that makes us boyfriend and girlfriend huh” Mouse said. “I guess it does” I said. “I can take you home if you want me to” Mouse said. “I’ll drive you” I said grabbing my keys. “Hey it was one” Mouse said grabbing his stuff.
“Greg I’m driving” I said. “Alright I won’t turn down the offer” Mouse said. We walked back upstairs through the hallway holding hands. My Dad walked by. “Treat her well Mouse” he said walking past us I smiled.
“Well I guess he’s cool with us” I said. “I’m so glad I was scared he’d end up saying no” Mouse said. “Maybe he also sees how amazing you are” I said walking out to my car.
Later..
“You should just stay here” Mouse said playing with my hair. “I’d love to but people need me” I said. “You could just skip like one shift” Mouse said. “I’ll be back in like eight hours” I said sitting up.
“Then I guess I owe you a real date” Mouse said kissing me. “You definitely do” I said. “Alright well you be safe” Mouse said. “I will” I said kissing him. “I love you” Mouse said. “I love you more” I said.

"So this is the 21st unit?" I said to myself. I walked through the doors and I was met with a lady with white hair. "Hi, I'm looking for Hank Voight?" "Are you the DEA agent that has the evidence to lock up Petar Clark?" "I am." "Alright I'm Trudy I'll take you up." I nodded and followed her up to the bullpen. "Hanks office is through there." I nodded and made my way over to his open door. I knocked on it causing him to look up. "Can I help you?" "Yes. I am Agent Y/n Y/ln." "Oh come on in Agent Y/ln. It's good to finally put a face to a voice." "I can say the same Sargent Voight. It's nice to meet you." I said shaking his hand. "Here's your evidence. I will be taking the suspect back to New York." "He's actually not here yet. Two of my detectives are going to get him now. Your more than welcome to wait here." "Alright, let me just make a call and see if my patrol officers are at the airport yet to escort the suspect back to New York." He nodded. — An hour after I made my call two officers walked in with the suspect. A female with long blonde hair, and male with short brown hair. "Sarge is the DEA agent here yet? She was supposed to be here two hours ago?" The brunette asked. "Actually I was here on time, except I was accepting my suspect when I got here." I said causing the detectives to turn around. "Your the DEA agent? No freaking way." "Obviously there is a way if i'm here." I said smiling. "Do you two know each other or something?" The blonde asked. "Yeah she's a friend from the rangers." "Oh nice to meet you. I'm Detective Hailey Upton." The blonde said holding out her hand for me to shake. "Agent Y/n Y/ln." I said shaking her hand. "The patrol officers are here to escort Petar to the airport." The officer who I learned was named Kim said. "Alright Agent Y/ln do you mind taking him down to the desk Sargent Trudy?" Sargent Voight asked. "Not at all. Good seeing you again Jay." He waved as I brought the suspect down the stairs. "What are you the bitch who does everyone's dirty work?" "No. I'm the bitch that brought the evidence to get you arrested." I said handing him over to Trudy who then brought him outside to the patrol officers. I followed them out to make sure he got in without any complications. I went to get in my car but I was stopped by someone's hand on my arm. I turned around to see that it was Jay. "Hey!" "Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to get some drinks at this bar called Molly's tonight? Catch up?" "I'd love to." "See you then." — I walked through the doors of Molly's and looked everywhere for Jay. I found him sitting at a table by himself. "Glad you actually came." "What did you think I was gonna stand you up?" I asked. "Maybe." He answered with a smirk. "I already got you a beer." "Thank you." "So when you going back to New York?" "Tomorrow morning." He nodded. "You still married to Abby?" I asked. He shook his head no with a laugh. "How bout you? Are you and Tommy still together?" "Yes and no." I answered. "What does that mean?" "It means legally we're married. But we separated last week. Divorce papers aren't signed though because he doesn't think we're actually gonna get a divorce. Claims we're still married. It's just complicated because we have a daughter." He looked at me with surprised eyes. "A daughter?" "Yeah her names Avery. Four years old." I said showing him a picture of me and together. He nodded. "She's cute. Looks just like you." I smiled. "Well if you and Abby aren't together anymore are you and that detective together?" "Hailey? No." He said with a laugh. "Oh come on there's a really not a special girl in your life?" "There was one but she left without warning the night I was gonna propose to her." "Oh you mean Erin?" "So you two have met I'm guessing." I nodded. "We worked together out in New York. She runs a task force for the FBI and she's a hell of a good cop and a hell of a good person." "Yeah she is." I smiled at him. "Look Y/n I invited you out here tonight to tell you something since I probably won't see you again for who knows how long." "I'm all ears." "I love you. Have since we were in Afghanistan, but you were with Tommy so I ignored it. That was the biggest mistake I ever made." I looked at him. "Say something?" Instead of saying anything I leaned over the table and gave him a kiss. "Do you wanna get out of here?" He asked in a whisper. I nodded and we made our way back to his apartment. — The next morning. "So this isn't considered cheating right?" Jay asked while I was tying my sneakers. "Like I said. Tommy and I are separated, but if me and you are gonna be a real thing I'll talk to my boss, she if he can transfer me over to a unit in Chicago." "You would that." I nodded. "I've wanted to be with you for years. I'm not gonna miss another chance." "What about your daughter?" "I can get an apartment. She can see Tommy on the weekends or every other week. Something. I'm not gonna make another mistake Jay." He smiled at me. "Alright then." "Alright. I gotta catch my plane. I still have your number. I'll call you when I get to New York." "I'll be waiting for that call." "Bye Jay." "Bye." I walked out of his apartment building with a smile on my face. I was finally getting the happy ending I wanted.
