" Trapped in the back without a trusty, doting friend to call upon? Dealing with a bout of head trauma or a few broken bones? Perhaps you're on the brink of your demise? Might I interest you in this wayside's latest & greatest achievement since those mystery prize slide things? A drink of holy water, to cure what ails you! " -- Thierry Ellis-Baker, recently self-appointed, resident Backrooms salesman.
// A THIERRY DRAWN UP FOR @deviousnarrator's DRINK TREND!
featuring all KINDS of details in needless irony & symbolism that I will feel particularly smug about. apparently the fandomized concept of the backrooms now features some kind of health potion in the form of nut water? why should i be surprised? but it absolutely sounds like something thierry would market himself, if not just get in on, just to trick the naïve & stupidly brave or trusting; which, of course, made me HAVE to dress him like an old swanky 50's salesman, for the bit
also highlighting my favorite detail another blogger ( @/savefrog ) mentioned about the concept once that i promise IS related to this choice in drink

Photo by @amivitale. Today is World Frog day so let's celebrate these ancient creatures! This fellow lives in mangroves of Micronesia and is called the Palau frog or Palau wrinkled ground frog, a species of frog in the Ceratobatrachidae family. It is endemic to Palau. These spellbinding creatures who have existed for 190 million years in every climate and on every continent except Antarctica are in trouble. As many as 200 species have completely disappeared since 1980 and nearly 1/3 of all amphibians are threatened with extinction. Habitat loss, pollution, climate change, infectious diseases, invasive species and over-harvesting for pet and food trades are putting increasing pressures on their populations. It’s not easy being green (or red or yellow or purple or brown or blue or black with yellow polka dots) but you can help. Get started by following @amphibiansurvivalalliance and @savethefrogs and by supporting local conservation groups that help preserve forest, marsh and other frog habitats. @natgeo @natgeoimagecollection @thephotosociety @nikonusa #frogs #savefrogs #micronesia #palaufrog #climatechange #conservation #savetheplanet #nikonlove #nikonnofilter #nikon #nikonambassador #photojournalism #amivitale #cuteanimals (at Federated States of Micronesia) https://www.instagram.com/p/BvPKwaxFR-Z/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=14ab2e30hsjwg

I love your 3D art a lot! One question; on your ice cream, how did you get the tiny sparkles? Is it a speckly specular map? Or something more complex? I understand if you dont wanna give away your secrets though! ;>

Tagged by @nat-20s to list the top 9 movies I’ve seen recently.
1. Scary Movie 3: I saw this against my will, since my sister had it on in the living room while I was cooking. I got as far as the Charlie Sheen bit before she noticed me gouging my eyes out and turned it off.
2. Doctor Zhivago: Long and un-enjoyable. Had some cool things to say, but the only thing “Epic” about the movie is the length. The characters/settings/events are all bog-standard.
3. Hot Fuzz: Not as good as I remembered. Unless you were Hip To The Scene and followed along with the Director Commentary, the action sequence at the end didn’t make any sense.
4. Shawn of the Dead: Good, but not the spectacular, genre-defining masterwork people make it out to be. It’s just a good movie.
5. Terminator 2: Fine. Kinda wish they played up the whole, “Ohh Sarah’s become the heartless killing machine she hates; now she’s chiding her son for not acting more robotic and logical.”
6. Star Trek IV Voyage Home: An enjoyable lark that made me feel not-totally-miserable for the run time.
7. Lupin III The Castle of Cagliostro: I just re-watch the car-chase scene every month or so. BUH-BADA-BAAAH Buh-duhduhduh-DUH. The rest of the movie is way better when you’re remembering it instead of watching it.
8. Evil Dead 1, 2, & 3: Fantastic and fun to watch. Nothing gets me in the Halloween spirit more!
9. The Lighthouse: Greatest comedy of our generation. Strangely enough, none of the humor felt unintentional. It’s a very ghoulish film and you can either laugh at it or throw up.
I’ll tag @aiago @savefrog @slygirlboy, though you guys can write about any number of movies you like! 9 is a lot!

Name: Chongmingia zhengi
Name Meaning: Named for Chongming, a Chinese Mythological Bird
First Described: 2016
Described By: Wang et al.
Classification: Dinosauria, Theropoda, Neotheropoda, Averostra, Tetanurae, Orionides, Avetheropoda, Coelurosauria, Tyrannoraptora, Maniraptoriformes, Maniraptora, Pennaraptora, Paraves, Eumaniraptora, Averaptora, Avialae
Chongmingia is a recently described early Avialan from the Jiufotang Formation in Liaoning Province, China, living in the Aptian age of the Early Cretaceous, approximately 113 to 125 million years ago. It is known from a partial skeleton, including some soft tissues and gastroliths, though it is missing the head and tail. It had an odd mixture of characteristics common to very early-derived and later-derived non Ornithothoracean Avialans, and places often on its own in phylogenetic studies - indicating that it represents a new clade of early Avialans. It also shows that the evolution of Avialans was a bit more complicated and varied than was previously assumed. The gastroliths in its stomach confirms it had an herbivorous diet, which would have been helpful in its formation, as it would have had to compete with many pterosaurs for food. It showed more refining in the ability to glide and fly, including more elongated forelimbs, such as those found in Jeholornis and Sapeornis, and it may have used some of these specializations to compensate for other components of the bird that would have detracted from flight - though it still probably couldn’t fly well, if it could fly at all.

Congrats on early release! I've been followin for a while and my SO and I finally got the game! We've been playing around and find it very hard to hunt. The scent clouds only appear when we're right next to something, and by then we already see the creature. Trails would help a bit. As for the lizards...I can't see them at all! I suppose the small size is accurate, though. In any case, can't wait for future updates.
Thank you for the feedback, we’ve been listening to our users and it seems that scent is a common problem. I assure we we’re gonna keep working on it to make it into something that is useful and fun to use for our players. As for the lizards, we’ve added an outline to them, as well as the bone butte birds, that renders over foliage to make them a bit easier to hunt. You can activate the outline by sniffing around, if you are close enough to a lizard or bird the outline will activate. They will look like they are glowing a gentle blue color when standing behind some obstacle.
