WOW I FINALLY FINISHED THIS SET. There were a lot of things I wanted to get right for them so I took some extra time but hopefully it was worth it! The guild for this set is Cobalt Heart- a guild with focus on maritime missions, lead by (of course) guildmaster Neptune. There was no other planet I could've picked for his namesake lol. They're the guild I jokingly call the most jockish, but some moreso than others. I really do hope I did all the characters justice, but if you wanna know more about the individual members, it's under the cut as usual!

tav shri’iia is THE canon for me obvi but I also really like the idea of tav wren with yves still being part of the dead three as bhaal’s chosen. the thing with wren is that he was yves’ childhood friend who was pursuing his bard career and severely flopping. one night when he was supposed to escort yves home from the graveyard he chose to perform in some tavern instead, and that night is when the bhaalists came and killed her. for him, one of his closest friends just went missing the night he was supposed to look after her, and when she returns 2 weeks later all beaten up and bloody with no memory of herself ofc he felt guilty….! and he couldn’t even bear to look at her because it’s all his fault u know … if only he didn’t ditched her maybe this wouldn’t have happened so one night he just decides to leave bc he couldn’t take it anymore. it’s always been his dream to be a travelling bard anyway and maybe his career will pick up in some other city than baldur’s gate, so he leaves her and his home and sets out to salvage what he can of his career. and in the most part he was mildly successful. he also ends up making a pact with some fae and they help with his bard career too lol but the guilt of yves is still in his mind- he just got better at ignoring it.

i think what 15x08 established about adam is so important because the entire episode basically stated that adam despite everything done to him will make the choice to be kind. despite everything michael did to him he chose to be his friend anyway. despite the winchesters leaving him to rot in hell for ten (earth) years he made the choice to vouch for them to michael anyway. he made the choice to put on a jokey little “gotcha!” face at them and be polite to them anyway even though he made it VERY obvious that he doesn’t forgive them in any capacity and it is so so so different from his behavior in 5x18 where he was firing verbal shots left and right. i think his expression at the end of 15x08 makes it so obvious but adam in all reality is so sad and so exhausted and the “since when do we get what we deserve?” line is so indicative of that and yet despite all of it. he wants to enjoy things. he wants to eat his junk food and he wants to get a little job and he wants to be happy and he wants to be kind. and i think that is such an important part of his character.

#especially concerning how he handles michael's absence post-15x19 i think. and michael's return if you want to look at it that way #because adam doesn't like arguing and fighting!! he didn't like it 5x18 but he did it anyway because he was still a snarky little teenager #and didn't give two shits about these people. but post-cage it's different. he didn't want to start anything with sam and dean #the entire time he was arguing with michael he seemed so so so fucking reluctant about it. saying things like #'just hear me out' or 'or. or. MAYBE you don't know god as well as you think you do' #and 'all i'm saying is...' #like he is genuinely so fucking tired. in general and of fighting. literally all he wants is peace all he wants is to relax all he wants #is to be able to enjoy things and be kind. #and his instantaneous repression of everything that happened to him factors in as well. #he doesn't want to talk about it he doesn't want to think about it he just wants to enjoy things while he has them #so if michael came back i think there wouldn't be a big confrontation at first. i think adam would welcome his return and maybe even #do his best to act like they never separated in the first place. like everything's the same when it's clearly not!!! #but some part of him does know something has to give. they have to talk eventually. but he doesn't want to. #augh he is so complicated i'm going to throw things #azure rambles #adam milligan

this isn't a 'complicated conflict,' it isn't a situation that 'requires nuance,' it's not a 'geopolitical event' that requires us to condemn the 'bad actors' on 'both sides.'

there is no 'nuance' to be had here. it's a genocide, committed by the israeli state against the palestinian people, and it's happening right now as we speak. you don't have to infer anything: israel has openly, with next to no pushback from so-called liberal democracies, cut off gaza's access to water, food and electricity. that's more than two million palestinians denied even the basic necessities for life. a million of them, children.

what is that, if not a genocide?

and that's only the latest escalation. we could go all day, listing the atrocities the palestinian people have been subjected to. the killings, the beatings, the children sexually abused in detention center, all the hospitals and ambulances being blown up, videos of palestinians being heckled by settlers as they're driven from their homes, israelis gathering on hilltops to cheer as their military drops bombs on gaza...

but all westerns want to talk about, is hamas.

because the murder of palestinians by the IDF is status quo; it doesn't affect them. what's one more dead palestinian but a statistic? but if hamas has killed a handful of israelis — if they've go as far as to even kill babies — then that justifies the extermination of two million palestinians, children and infants included.

westerns will even say that the palestinians brought it on themselves; that they should have know that a drop of israeli blood requires a river in return.

and just so we're clear, you don't have to like hamas. but when you equate hamas with the IDF, when you derail every conversation by demanding a condemnation of 'both sides,' or when you, god forbid, agree that israel is justified in dismantling hamas — which, as israel themselves have outlined, will involve the complete destruction of gaza and the murder of hundreds of thousands of civilians — then either wake up, or own up to the fact that you're a participant in the extermination of the palestinian people.

do you think i'm being harsh? then imagine how it's like living under constant aerial bombardment. with no food, no water, no electricity. constant air-raid sirens. a bomb, dropping every minute. never knowing a moment a peace, always wondering if today is going to be your last day, if you and your family are still going to be here tomorrow.

could you stomach living in gaza, for even a day? i doubt it.

and still, now, on the eve of what might be the ground invasion of gaza — with one million palestinians being told to flee, with nowhere to go — i'm getting messages from people who demand my sympathy... for israel.

if you live in israel, and you're one of the ones who've turned a blind-eye to the suffering of the palestinian people, if you've fought for the IDF or tacitly supported them, if you've callously called upon the memory of the holocaust thinking the death and suffering of your ancestors would wash the blood of your own hands....
