I do think personally that if you called Helen “Mrs Incredible” to her face consistently she’d eventually start maiming and killing. Her and Bob are correcting every fucking interviewer like “It’s Elastigirl” is like the top 5 thing they say now, in court Evelyn only referred to Bob as “Mr Elastigirl” and Helen had to hold back a laugh each time.

Sometimes I think "was this shot really necessary" but then when I try to imagine it at a different angle it just looks more questionable every attempt

I have a thing on my server where we watch shitty hypnosis media (let’s face it, most of it is awful) and watched incredibles 2 and they did whiskey tomboy a dirty. Just kinda shoehorned in. Her 2 brain cell brother wasn’t even upset she was sent to prison RIP
I also like how her and Helen girl boss for an entire 5 SECONDS to one up the man.

i hate it so much when people are like "Evelyn's villain arc doesn't make sense bc her ideology is confusing and contradictory" WHEN THATS LEGIT WHAT MAKES HER CHARACTER SO INTERESTING AND UNIQUE??? ok so, evelyn's whole reason for being evil is "my parents would still be alive is superheroes hadnt ever existed." its a reasonable thought to have, especially because her way of looking at situations seems to always be so calculated and realistic and gritty and mean. she's a very blunt person. she sees a situation, comes up with the most logical explanation, and sticks to it. she's stubborn, which explains the fact that, even though her opinions on her parents death are disproven like four million times, she still refuses to see anything from a different angle. it explains the fact that even after her plan literally begins to fall apart ion the third act of the movie, she still, for some reason, sticks to it, which ultimately causes her to get arrested. ive seen so many arguments where the entire rant is about "well evelyn says her brothers views are childish which doesnt make snese because hers are too and also her plan sucks and she doesnt really act as smart as she is" but like, the thing is, it makes complete sense for her character. her and her brother both have childish ideologies. winston thinks superheroes can solve everything, and evelyn thinks they mess everything up, which are both childish arguments. evelyn's is just childish in a different way. she has a more logical and adult way of looking at things than winston, she never believed in superheroes like him and her father did. i think the most interesting thing about Evelyn's whole plan is that, is she literally just did nothing, everything that she wanted to happen would have happened. like, screenslaver was the only one doing like, any crime in that movie, so if none of those crimes happened, like, winston wouldnt have any material to work with and the whole "legalizing superheroes" thing woulldve been scrapped. evelyn could have achieved way more just like, using her knowledge on technology to hijack the operation without any flashy villains or anything. like, girl just sabatoge the stupid tech your brother wants to use. just break stuff. but since her view on the situation is so clouded, childish, and illogical, it causes her to act out and overall make the situation worse. all in all, her character writing doesnt get nearly enough credit simply because people arent willing to dig a little deeper into her story. ty for coming to me tedtalk. sorry if it was bad i dont do rants often and i just got done crying

Day 3, and I am only more behind. Took a break yesterday cause I was sick, but that was all cause of my dumbass.
Anyway, third day is my boy Screenslaver from Incredibles 2.
I'mma be completely honest. As much as I love Screenslaver and what he stands for, I HATE Evelyn Deavor.
I loved her relationship with Elastagirl, but the plot twist was just horrific. And while her reasoning was solid to a degree, she just went so extreme with it. It reminded me of those people who get politely told not to chew with their mouth full, and then they say they'll never eat again. It's a ridiculous overexageration.
Soooo now, I only like the pizza boy. Pizza boy can have my heart.

I put way too much expectations on The Incredibles 2's villain back in the cinema in 2018, thinking about when Screenslaver will be making appearances. I liked the hidden Screenslaver's lair and the chase, yet we did not see "him" or someone else in the costume again.
His screentime felt so short and the movie poster felt misleading, since it has a big image of the "Screenslaver" behind the title, making an impression that he will be the main threat. Sorry, but I'm not a fan of the twist, so I decided to write my version of him. Kind of an AU or somethin' 'ere, haha.
(This idea popped out on 2018, but I never really put ot out anywhere until now, lol)
# Screenslaver Rewritten
Screenslaver was a person who was obsessed with the sense of control and domination. He managed his networking and followings in an old, run-down building aside of town. Where he learnt and discovered new knowledge to pursue his evil scheme of controlling the whole population.
As a supervillain, he had the power of hypnosis, doing his evil deeds through the help of his “screen slaves”. This was acquired after his consciousness was accidentally sucked into the digital realm. Stuck, he fell into despair at first, but with his knowledge of hypnosis and his new-found power to transfer and duplicate his being into various devices, he soon got used to it and decided that he will lead an army of screen-addicted brainwashed people to dominate the world.
He built a cult following from all around the world by hypnotizing people through many ways, especially through devices’ screens. Those who were controlled will have themselves dressed in Screenslaver’s uniformed suit as a disguise, the Screenslaver’s puppet.
Someone might be freed from the hypnosis, but Screenslaver always have screen slave backups that will pop up somewhere on Earth. And thus “The Screenslaver’s still out there… always.”

helen seems like the type to dwell on her worst thoughts instead of sleeping while evelyn seems like the type who avoids emotional conversations like the plague
