Y’know what? Fuck it.
I’ve been lowkey scared to play Night in the Woods again because
a) doing Gregg’s storyline would mean not getting to be there for Bea
and
b) it would mean I’d have to feel emotions again, all the nostalgia and the sadness and the comfort
I don’t really know why I’m scared of that last part. I’m in college now.
But fuck it. I’m coming back to Possum Springs.

Astarion: People think the biggest threat to a vampire is a cleric with a stake. It's not.
Tumblr media
Astarion: The biggest threat to a vampire is another vampire. They are scheming, paranoid, power-hungry beasts.
Tumblr media
Astarion: So why would any vampire give up control over a spawn to create a competitor?
Tumblr media
*chuckles* I'm in danger.

i like how all the guides are like "noble/soldier" are the best backgrounds for a paladin and I'm like, shut your faces, kier's (they/he) bg is URCHIN which means they look out for kids/the downtrodden and have bonuses to sleight of hand checks. also they're a drow so you know that was an extra rough childhood. like i rented rooms in the elfsong just for fun and he got inspiration by like just having a real place to stay that wasn't the ground T.T it was neat that the camp moved indoors (including scratch and the owlbear lol, hopefully the inkeepers don't mind owlbear pellets lol)
anyway i really like a character choosing to be a paladin after having a harsh life, you know? it feels more earned than if they grew up in the lap of luxury (noble) or even if they're just a dutiful soldier following orders (*obvs* soldiers can have harsh lives too but the vibe is different). i like that there's so many lost kids in this game you can help too (i realize the guides are just like "oh this bg gives you helpful bonuses" but i think it's more fun to play against type sometimes)

Made a new character for Baldur’s Gate 3 and my kids vetoed the pink and purple hair. Hahah and picked this hair style. I’m not sure how I feel about it 🤣the hair style that is.

"Hit that country road, old man. I'm not interested in the junk you sell or the junk you tell." May be the funniest thing I have ever read

Hogwarts Legacy, and the Builds inside the Game:
Tumblr media
While most might prefer the Dark Arts build (as did I when I did my first play through), it is more fun and versatile to incorporate herbology and potions so it didn't become monotonous or boring when you enter a duel.
More under the cut-off:
It would keep the body count low so that the Voldemort and Grindelwald are still one of the Darkest Wizards who have a massive body count. Because if you're like me, in my first play through, I abused the crap out of the Cruciatus Curse and the Killing Curse just because I could. But toward the end of the story, it's crazy that you're so well-regarded as a hero but also a mass murderer on the side when you're not in classes.
(I admit that I do love using the Imperius Curse, though)
Halfway through my first play through, I realized that I was more inclined to use herbology and potions in combat rather than the Cursed because it was more fun and gave me more of reason to grow a whole garden in the Room of Requirment (that, and I love the Hufflepuff aesthetic more in the RoR due to all the nature-themed items but I love the Slytherin Common Room more).
The fact that I have two magical menageries in my RoR but also head into the Dark Arena doesn't fit the ear right to me.
I get HL on Switch tomorrow and I intend to go about my second play through in a role play stance, rather than the first timer I was and just wanting to experience everything.
(Though the struggle to always use a hippogriff rather than fly will be a constant, owing to the fact that the broom is faster and smoother but I believe my animal-loving Slytherin would opt for a Hagrid approach).

Hug him.
Astarion: I want to thank you.
Sylene Dathiir: For what?
Astarion: For what you said while I was in front of that vile drow.
Astarion: I spent two hundred years using my body to lure pretty things back for my Master. What I wanted, how I felt about what I was doing, it never mattered.
Astarion: You could have asked me to do the same - to throw myself at her, what I wanted be damned. But you didn't. And I'm grateful.
Sylene Dathiir: I don't want you to do anything you don't want to do.
Astarion: It's a novel concept, I admit. And a little intimidating.
Astarion: It would have been so easy to bite her. To just go along with what I was being told to do.
Astarion: A moment of disgust to force myself through. And then I could have carried on, just like before.
Sylene Dathiir: So why sleep with me? Did you think you'd get something from it?
Astarion: Of course, I needed protection.
Astarion: People don't trust vampires - perhaps understandably - so I needed to get someone on my side. And seducing you was easy, frankly.
Astarion: So imagine how stupid I felt when I started to genuinely feel something for you.
Astarion: Trust me, I was not happy about it. You were a complication I didn't see coming. And yet...
Sylene Dathiir: I care about you.
Astarion: Really?
Sylene Dathiir: Hug him.

Astarion: You... you are full of surprises, aren't you?
Astarion: Honestly, I have no idea what we're doing. Or what comes next.
Astarion: But I know that this? This is nice.

Nate. Sturdy, dependable, selfless, emotionally available, fellow Persian, Nate. I can always count on him to wash away the bad taste el toxico leaves in my mouth.
Ps: I’m actually starting a new route for every character from book 1 and working my way to book 3.
