You have James & Copperhead headcanons? :D

Oh yeah :)

1.) Neither of them are naturally blond, so they help each other with their hair (Copperhead acting like she's smelling something rancid the whole time, James taking it super seriously, Axel trying his best not to make gray/graying hair comments).

2.) They have unspoken passive-aggressive contests to see who can do the most intense contortions. Copperhead usually wins ofc, but one time James beat her by dislocating his hip (and even then he only won bc Copperhead stopped to help him put it back into place. Totally worth it tho, even when Axel starts talking about James's "old man joints").

3.) Part of why James was so OOC evil in Rebirth was bc Copperhead rubbed off on him a little and also bc he likely was being influenced by Neron but that's a different headcanon entirely.

4.) James keeps trying to convince Copperhead to quit the crime lord life and become more akin to an unofficial Rogue. Copperhead's found that ignoring him until he pouts and changes the subject is the best way to respond.

5.) James and Axel make a lot of snake puns. Copperhead never smiles at them (even when she occasionally thinks one is actually pretty funny).

6.) Both work better with Axel than they do with each other (tho James ofc would never admit this and argues any time Copperhead alludes to it). This is due to Axel having a more varied (tho not necessarily more extensive) supervillain résumé than them as a result of all the times he's been grounded by Cold kicked out of the Rogues.

7.) Copperhead is Peruvian and James has the same Italian immigrant origin as his pre-Nu52 incarnation.

8.) Post-Rebirth, James acts like they're best friends/partners in crime/two peas in a pod/like bacon and eggs. Copperhead calls him a "former acquaintance."

How abouuuut circus AU + almost kiss for James/Selina?

oh, that is my JAM!

James still runs away from his parents' circus (I feel that's a pivotal moment in his life and he wouldn't be James if he had stayed) but is now determined to make a better circus than they were in. It's liberating because he now chooses to be in the air instead of being forced. Since he's a) a damn good judge of character, b) an incredibly talented acrobat and c) a fantastic conman, he quickly assembles an amazing crew. His main focus is acrobatics (Cirque du Soleil style). He starts to train on the aerial silks. One day, a woman comes to his circus and wants to join. Her backstory is fabricated, her skills impressive, but they don't match her profession and he is fascinated. He still hires her. Does she know that he knows? Yes. Selina still accepts, expecting him to be a creep who tries to take advantage. He's not. He, in fact, teaches her. There is tension, tenderness when he patches her up after he caught her sneaking back to the circus injured (she may be using the circus to find rich people in the audience, following them and robbing their houses), she still guarded, he still charmed.

There's a scene when he is teaching her stuff about the silks (see? I had a reason for bringing those up) and the double meaning of letting yourself fall and be caught, where he shares his backstory and how he learnt to trust again (well, he mainly trusts himself since he prepares the silks and controls when/how they catch him). I image them both tangled in silks, several feet in the air, lips not even an inch apart.

I can definitely imagine every one of them putting a group photo of the whole Flashfam because they are a big loving family and I also can see them having a photo of a person that is special to them.

For Wally, it’s definitely his wife Linda and the kids; for Bart, it could be a photo of him and Max together or his grandma Iris, for Barry, I mean we all know he’s his momma’s boy but his relationship with his dad is very special and Barry didn’t get to have many photos of Henry growing up so him carrying his dad’s photo with him is very heartwarming.

And Hunter wasn’t a Flash and but he wears the same suit as them so I’m thinking he’d carry a pic of Ashley; Eobard was a Flash but he has no friends and he wears the suit 99.9% of the time so he doesn’t bother svhadgcfg

I’m joking but fr, I kinda feel bad for my demon baby, he doesn’t have anyone that he holds dear to himself like that.

They usually still wear the ring after they suit up so what do you think happens to the locket? I don’t know the right word in English for it but it might blend in with the suit somehow. Or the locket could be a part of the suit, it wouldn’t be very visible to anyone but them but it could be attached somewhere where they can easily tap on it to change back.

I love this idea so much though!! And it’s very in character for them; they are very protective of each other and very sentimental like that. :’)

Do you have any more headcanons about roleswap Killer Frost!Hartley? :)

Hmm, not really, not anything specific. I wish I could say I did but Frost!Hartley feels more of a mood/aesthetic to me so I don’t have a lot of ideas about more specifics.

But I can imagine Cisco trying to get under his skin (when Hartley’s in the pipeline) by playing kinda punny songs like “Ice ice baby” though.

I feel like maybe Hartley might use his icy talents for ice sculptures in interesting ways, but not sure what (somehow for protesting?).

Hello! I was wondering - what would you like to see happen with the Renegades in future rounds of comic canon? :)

Oh hey!!!!

Since I absolutely adore the Flash Rogues, I couldn’t help but like the Renegades during their first appearance and that was before Golden Guardian, one of two Yellow Lanterns I actually care about, was a thing. While I do like what Josh did with them during his run, especially in regard to Commander Cold’s character development, I still feel as though they, including Henry, were wasted overall. I mean, off the top of my head, they live in a future where your bloodline can determine your value in society—wouldn’t that be an interesting if horrifying concept to explore? 

Besides Henry, we know virtually nothing about the Renegades. Are they a sort of family like their Rogue counterparts or merely team members with only professional relationships? How did Guardian become a Yellow Lantern, and what led her to try and be a hero on Earth? Is Henry actually part of the future!Allen family or were both Geoff and Josh just teasing things that were never meant to be true?!?!?! I am a lore bitch I want to know these things lol

But besides that, I think what I would really like is an exploration of how the Renegades will have to change in light of everything that occurred in Josh’s run. Regardless of Geoff’s original intentions or the truth regarding their creation being a possible in-universe retcon, the Renegades have gone from a special time-traveling force of good (well...debatably) to a sham created by two of the Flash family’s worst enemies. Given how self-righteous they seem to be on average, that’s...got to have messed with their heads a bit, and none of them excluding Henry have had their reactions to this information portrayed in a comic yet. Speaking of which, how will they function now that they technically have no purpose or official jurisdiction? Will Henry clash with them now? While he was in the past, Henry witnessed (and even participated in!) corruption within the legal system, and I bet that he drew connections to the corruption that was rampant in his own time due to Hunter’s meddling. Personally, I would like to see the group shift away from being “future time-traveling cops” (a concept that was icky from the beginning for me at least) to fully-fledged independent heroes, much like what happened to Henry the more he stayed in the past. Maybe have his arc go from “I work outside the justice system because it isn’t enough” (which is the vibe I got during the Strength Force arc) to “I work outside the justice system because it is inherently flawed by design and works to hurt the people I want to protect” and, depending on the backstories of the other Renegades, this could spread to the rest of his team.

Also, things I would also like to be in future comics include:

1.) Them actually interacting with the Rogues outside of that one fight from the pre-Flashpoint era

2.) The team sans Henry having to deal with the trauma of being erased from existence like oh my God Josh what even

3.) GOLDEN GUARDIAN BACKSTORY PLEASE I AM BEGGING YOU DC—

4.) Backstories for all of the Renegades, actually (but tbh I would be okay if I only got content for Golden Guardian lmao)

5.) Henry struggling with being happy with his team/his home era vs. enjoying the setting of the present/his relationships with Barry, Iris, and Allison

6.) More Coldburns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not hugely into RPGs myself so I'm no expert, but I think some of them use terms like "irrational" and "catastrophic" (you'll see that one in Sam's bio) to emphasize that it's a major part of their personality/motivation, and the intensity of it can harm them.  But agreed, it does come off as disrespectful and dismissive.  I'm not sure if modern RPGs use those terms or if it's just the old-school ones.

Yeah, I loved how he shoots acid at Batman and Flash, then 10 seconds later is like, “Oh well, that didn’t work.  Wanna play darts, Flash?”  I think him “trying to kill Flash” is like the coyote chasing the road-runner - deep down he doesn’t really expect to succeed, and he’d probably be devastated if he thought Flash was actually dead.  I’d love to see more fic with him.  Or more fic of comics James, or basically any James Jesse content that isn’t CW JJ.  (There’s nothing wrong with CW James, Mark Hamill is delightfully hammy in the role, he’s just really not my cup of tea.  Too Jokerish.)  Thanks for your own comic JJ fanfic, btw, it’s fun to read.

oh, that is just beautiful!

Roscoe is the prince, groomed for success, failure not tolerated. He frankly hates it. He never had the time to just be himself, always studying, training, being compared to his father, chastised for every move. He dreams of just leaving it all behind. Then he meets Lisa. She works in the kitchen after she ran away from her abusive father (her brother is a small time crook who wanted better for his sister, so he smuggled her into the castle, but doesn't stay there himself). Do they meet at a ball, both wearing masks? No. Does the dashing orince rescue her from distress? No. An assassin tried to poison the royal family's dinner, she caught him and beat him up so much there was a dent on the frying pan she used. Roscoe was called into the kitchen (he has a vague memory of being there as a small child, offered sweets and playing with the cooks' children, but hasn't stepped foot in there for years) to identify the assassin. He does, but immediately afterwards thanks Lisa for saving his life.

And that's when the pining happens. She begins to fall for the prince (it started when he described in horrific detail what he'd do to the assassin), he admires her bravery and strength. He starts to leave his studies and tries to come up with excuses to see her (he is bad at making them believably, but she's still charmed). She likes him, but not only is she just a servant, her brother is a criminal and she needs to keep a low profile, also because her father is an abusive asshole. The kitchen staff, had it been invented, would be eating popcorn and watching the romance unfold. There is drama. Can they ever be together? She is tormented by his kindness, gifts and the feeling that it can never be. Of course there would be a happy ending, but I can't decide which is better. After political upheaval, Roscoe steps up as king and defiantly marries Lisa against almost everybody's wishes.

Or he denounces his birthright, they get married and work on a social revolution. No matter what, they're together.

What did you think of the new Hazel and Cha Cha stills?

I HAD A LOT OF VERY INTENSE AND EMOTIONAL THOUGHTS ON ALL OF THEM SO I WILL BREAK THEM DOWN:

MASKED HAZEL AND CHA-CHA IN THE STORE:they appear to be shooting up a dark and empty walmart. i hope they got locked in and now they’re just hanging out, home alone-ing it up. these stills made me really really want to write a fanfic where hazel and cha-cha want to meet that jacket monkey and get trapped in an ikea. on their way out they decide to liberate one of those giant bears.

UNMASKED HAZEL AND CHA-CHA MOROSELY SITTING AT A COUNTER EATING DONUTS:cha-cha likes a chocolate donut and hazel has rainbow sprinkles. they look tired, like they only just finally escaped the aforementioned ikea. hazel has a wrist brace for some reason? i think he has carpal tunnel because cha-cha makes him do all the paperwork for the temps. this is the most domestic we’ve seen them and i’m DEEPLY INTO IT.

CHA-CHA SNEERING ATTRACTIVELY AT THE $6 FOR A DOZEN DONUTS PROMISES:HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A WOMAN SO BEAUTIFUL YOU JUST STARTED CRYING? I’M NOT JOKING, i saw this still and genuinely teared up!! the cinematography of the shot, her disdainful expression, the full light details on her suit… it’s perfect! she’s perfect! you see on her suit? how she has little locks instead of buttons?? that’s because she’s a treasure. i love cha-cha. i am slightly concerned at why she is without her big beautiful husband here but we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

OVER-ALL:every shot i get to see of them standing next to each other fills me with so much power. they look so. good. together. their cohesive theme, costume wise, but still with their own subtle differences. (like cha-cha’s vest and little button locks and the more feminine cut of her suit! i love every costuming decision i’ve seen be made so far!)the stills also make me excited bc it seems like we’re gonna get a lot of moments from hazel and cha-cha’s perspective? like that’s extremely exciting, i wasn’t expecting that. the MOST upsetting buddy cop movie, i imagine these scenes.

Thank you very much!  I was chagrined that it didn't turn out quite the way I'd hoped, but it still ended up kind of neat to look at.  It's so rare for the trail to be empty of people, even at night! (sometimes we see skunks or fireflies at night during summer, though)
