This appeared to be an especially prevalent trend within the 2000s, perhaps since sports vehicle mania was at a maximum and manufacturers needed to change eyes away from their rivals' offerings. Still, it's always likely to be a bit disappointing driving a vehicle that isn't anywhere near as soon as it looks like it should be. Any kind of buyers concerned about that problem would do well to give these types of models a miss.
