Opinion #007: Shrek soundtrack is just as good as the Guardians of the Galaxy one.

I’m very controversial rn, but it’s actually amazing and deserves more likes. That shit SLAPS. It’s crazy how well placed everything is like seriously. I love the Shrek films to an absurd amount, ask anybody I know. But as a music lover, I am obsessed with the Shrek soundtrack. Everything is just so well placed and impact your emotions and the character development and they also help build an emotional setting. All Star by Smash mouth was an instant hit because of Shrek, but these other songs deserve to be recognised too.

some hits I recommend are I’m a Believer by the Monkees, Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright, livin La Vida loca by Ricky Martin, Accidentally in Love by Counting Crows, funky town by somebody I actually don’t know, I’m on my way by the Proclaimers, IMMIGRANT SONG by led zep, Barracuda by Fergie and so many more. Opinion: Best Shrek soundtrack song

I’m I haven’t talked about music in ages upon ages so I had a thought while in ikea yesterday. Accidentally in Love by Counting Crows in Shrek 2 is better than All Star by Smash Mouth in Shrek 1. Hands down it’s always going to be accidentally in love as my favourite song in Shrek. I feel like atmospherically it added more to the theme of Shrek because while it played in the honeymoon montage for me it cemented the fact that Shrek and Fiona fell in love because of their personality and it was a pure and happy accident which would have never happened if not for a lot of random shit. Also the riffs are must more catchy and the lyrics are great. The first part of the song is absolute perfection.
