it’s that this whole insane discourse has completely overshadowed anything about the no-fly list and how and why she did this. it’s being completely buried under the avalanche of nonsense and the arguments that she’s causing Material Harm. i wish i could say i think this is the work of feds but unfortunately i know people are batshit about this stuff. but really as i said before the best thing is to fucking ostracize and ignore these people and get them out of organizing and instead focus on what that list means and what to do next. bc these people are gonna sabotage any conversation or meaningful work, and are ready to betray any activist or person who takes risks.

but beyond that man the fucking state of leftism that any actual work and effort gets highjacked by clowns who drown it in their discourse instead. the fact that they genuinely feel justified in harming and impeding people and precious work in the name of labels. they talk about material harm but if that isn’t what’s happening rn idk what is.

So my review for Wendell and Wild:

It was good, very fun. I don't think it's above something like Kubo, but it was good. loved the character design, loved the diversity, loved the characters itself.

(spoilers below)

The plot was decent, but the pacing was very….it felt rushed, and the beginning was odd bc i didn't know who to focus on aside from Kat. Raul's relationship with Kat was a little weird too, i get that he's a good kid but -gestures???- Siobhan was a fun character, not your typical Mean Girl type that you usually get, but the gap between Kat saying "have you even been in one of your parent's prisons?" and her going to her parents like "i know what really goes on in these prisons" is…such a huge one and i feel like we should have gotten a scene for her to see or at least hear about what it's really like. Kat battling her like…inner demon, i feel like could've been longer. She got punched a couple times, her hair pulled, but that's it. I feel like it should have been a little more intense considering the context. also the smaller inner demon as well, after fighting the bigger one, more resistance there. I had been hoping to hear the song from the trailer ("I Told Em" by Doechii) in the movie itself but no :(

I think the biggest issue was pacing, everything was happening so fast there was no time for any super meaningful scenes, even the one at the end with her parents and the vision she had felt rushed, even tho it was still good, i even choked up a bit.

but overall it was good, would rewatch on future halloweens
