It’s a funny story, really. I have a whole different fanfic in the works as a gift. I initially asked for an extension because I was stuck not liking how it was turning out. Cut to like, three days before the gifting process starts: I have an epiphany. Through following you, I had the inspiration to just. Throw Ranbutler in there somewhere. Make it a Tales inspired work. I completely scrapped my original idea and now we’re here

Hello again! I know it's been a bit but what are your headcanons for Sir Billiam? He's great and I miss him. Love that guy/

Did I wait a long time just to post it on the Masquerade’s anniversary? Yes. Yes I did.

Does it include lore for more than just him? Yes, it does.

-Man’s basically pale as hell. He is almost white furred and holds himself with so much smug pride that even his heirs would look at him with awe.

-Do not ever mistake him for someone who wouldn’t be able to take you on in a fight. He’s highly skilled in fencing but in just pure size as well he can easily crush bones with a kick of punch. You have to take him by surprise or outlast him to win in a fight. He does not hesitate to get his claws dirty if it means appeasing his grand guest.

-Billiam used to have siblings, but he’d very swiftly removed them from the equation to inherit their shared wealth.

-As soon as The Crimson/The Egg came into his possession (or rather, he came into It’s), his ego and bloodlust were boosted and thus his normal masquerade events became rarer and deadlier. Not like anyone noticed, of course.

-Hubert was the closest of all his servants. He would share his secrets with the butler and even spend quality time with him, albeit his guests would always get snarled at or lashed at by the man if they tried to give Hubert any attention. He would even help with the murders, at least until Sol came along. Most would assume they were more than just what appeared, at least until the servant fled into the night. Billiam was beyond cruel once Hubert vanished, as if whatever held back his wrath had left with him.

-Billiam gained near immortality from The Egg, and was able to ensure at least one heir to survive and escape the chaos, though he never allowed them actually near his home, only sending them his money once his passing had occurred.

-All of his descendants have his golden claws, a gift from The Egg itself. No one really knew how or why, just that the metal was as hard as normal hooves and claws despite its properties. The further down the bloodline, the more golden their blood actually is, though no one’s figured it out yet as he himself did not have golden blood.

-Billiam is not related to Techno. One is from the overworld, one is from a different realm all together. The Crimson does not see any difference other than similar bloodlust.

-As mentioned before, Billiam was near immortal and could hold his own in a fight, but there’s a reason he’s not around in the present or future. Butler was the one to kill him, after all.

But he wasn’t alone in doing it.

After all, a damaged pride always led to his blind rage.

Any ideas for Billiam and Butler angst? I just think they're neat.

I'm thinking about Butler being accused of all the murders and locked up with no intention of ever letting them go. They're drugged and sedated and there's a device that prevents them from teleporting as well as subduing them. No one really knows why this happens but it's because the sound waves or whatever it produces crack their pearl and send their magic haywire. Billiam knows where their trial took place, he knows they were found guilty, it's all over the news for weeks, but he doesn't know where they were locked up or how badly they're being treated. And to be fair, everyone else thinks they deserve it for how many people they've killed, including the people that inflict it and have to watch them fight and scream in the few lucid minutes they have.

Billiam tries. So hard. To find them. He makes James and Liaria and Hubert(when he goes out in town) search for every smidgen of information they can. There are some theories. Some high-security prisons, some infamous for breaking their prisoners in accordance with the crimes. There is nothing solid. Where they are is kept under tight wraps. Billiam will not be able to find his child unless he finds a mole within the system that knows exactly where they are, and the chances of that are slim to none.

There is a very good chance that Butler could end up rotting in that cell, severely sedated and blurry with every waking moment and unaware of how much time has passed, for the rest of the millennium they'll live.
