Pseudo-metroidvania where you play as an only-nominally-sapient little slime creature who found the corpse of a badass deep space bounty hunter and stole their power armour. The central gimmick is that you start with what is effectively an endgame loadout, but the upgrade descriptions are all incomprehensible gibberish (because, you know, you can't read), and they're all activated by awkward and counterintuitive input sequences – imagine some of the more baroque fighting game inputs as a point of reference – which the player is unlikely to stumble upon by chance. The "upgrade progression", such as it is, consists simply of gradually revealing to the player the tools they already possess and how to activate them.

We all know the best horror movies are very wet (from blood mostly, but also various kinds of goops and ichors. Occasionally water), but are there any horror movies that go out of their way to use dryness? Not just like. Having a dry corpse or something but where dryness is central to the themes? There has to be right?
It's very easy to make a wet horror movie because 1. Gross factor. Many things that are wet are gross and that can add to the scary, like blood but also birth metaphors that are common in horror movies, but also 2. There are just so many ways to make things wet. Corn starch blood, vaseline wetted puppets, slime. Just regular water. I imagine it's much easier to make something wet than it is to intentionally keep something dry to an unnerving degree

something about the way the qsmp plays with the concept of gender is. so near and dear to me. there's of course the fact that multiple characters are canonically trans, like juana, tilin, and leo, but also just the way gender is handled in general. slime calls mariana his wife and alternates between he/him and she/her for him. jaiden's been referred to as an uncle. bad's been referred to as an aunt. leo alternates between using male and female conjugation for foolish. a fairly central part of roier's character revolves around him having a drag persona. there's probably so much stuff that i'm missing and this isn't even going into how their approach to gender plays into and influences their approach to individual relationship dynamics (be they platonic, romantic, or sexual) and it's just. it's all so good and treated like a normal aspect of life instead of a deviation from the norm. i have so much for this goddamn server u guys
