     “I’m not doing anything suspicious..!” They’ve known each other for a little while now, and Alice is pretty confident that he’s been able to more or less gauge the type of person she is. Or at least enough to ease up a little on his open, close-ranged stalking. Still, she does admit that it’s out of character for her - and therefore worthy of being seen as suspicious - to be leaving the dorm at such a late hour, which, in turn, has her blurting out a statement that pretty much defeats its purpose.

Despite the moon shining bright above them, Alice hopes that the night is able to disguise her blush as she takes out a book from within her small bag. Opening it where the page marker sits, she shows him the picture of a beautiful flower. “...It only blooms under the full moon.” She offers timidly, angling the book in a way that it partially shields her expression from his watchful eyes. This particular plant does not grow anywhere near where she lives or studies, and when she saw it listed under the local flora, she just had to go and find one for herself.

Yes, she is breaking the rules. If not the academy’s, at least the ones for the exchange students. They’re not supposed to step out of the dorms after a certain hour. She doesn’t mean any harm, but figures he won’t care about that and insist that the rules be followed to the risk. When Sebek doesn’t immediately declare that he’s escorting her back inside, Alice tentatively lowers her book to meet his gaze again.

Much to her surprise, he’s not looking at her with reprehension, but rather with patience. And when he strides past her, seemingly leading the way, the tiniest of gasps escapes her lips and she rushes to catch up with his long strides, trying to keep herself from smiling too wide at how lovely it was of him to do so. Regardless of it being for the purposes of surveillance or escorting.

They walk for a little bit into the forest, the temperature steadily dropping the deeper they go. Alice is too distracted memorizing the path and cataloguing every new plant on the way to even feel it, and when they reach the spot where so many of the flowers are in various stages of bloom, she inhales sharply and sets off ahead of him like a child seeing a new toy at the shop. “They’re beautiful...” She breathes in awe, her usually polite and composed expression so openly unguarded with joy.

Moving closer, she looks from one bloom to the next, trying to find a perfect specimen to be carefully picked and preserved that wouldn’t pose too much stress on the plant. And that is when a warm weight gingerly settles itself over her shoulders, that elegant scent she has come to associate with his semi constant presence at her side suddenly enveloping her most pleasantly.

Looking down at herself, Alice confirms that it is indeed his jacket shielding her from the cold that she’s just noticed now that she’s wrapped in his warmth. Her smile blooms further, but given that Sebek is so very pointedly looking away from her, she chooses to keep her gratitude to herself for now. She’ll make him his favorites for breakfast later.

Christine leapt in front of Raoul. Just as Erik lowered his rusty dagger to strike, she grasped his wrist.

The blade was mere inches from her forehead.

“Don’t do this, Erik.” Christine said, her voice dark and shaking with fear.

“You can’t stop him,” Raoul whispered hoarsely. “He’s... He’s past the point of no return.”

Christine looked back at her friend, tears pricking at her eyes. Then she stared up at the phantom before her, fortitude flowing through her body and fire blazing in her eyes. (my poto rewrite, chapter 25)

Dear Anon, of course I still do HCs. I’m so sorry I haven’t been a able to get around to doing more until now. But I truly hope you’re happy with how these turn out.

Nathan- this boy needs physical intimacy in his relationships. So when he first meets his S/O and their pocket sized… let’s just say hes ecstatic. He prides himself on having the partner he can literally have sit on his shoulders. Perk 2.0 is that his partner *lives* for the same intimacy he craves. The two are almost literally never seen separated and if they are it’s automatically assumed there was a fight despite there never having been one.

Pickles - he LOVES that his S/O is slightly shorter than he is. Their perfect for hugging. He can rest his chin on their head and that amuses him to no end. He loves to buy his partner frilly cute things and dress them up in pastels and cute hair accessories. Sometimes if his partner is lucky, he’ll dress in his old Snakes outfit or even drag and the two will hit the town. However, he is a very ticklish man. So his partner’s loving intentions to touch him whenever they can get their hands on him can sometimes turn into a tickle fight to the death!

Murderface - was honestly terrified to touch his partner when they first met. He truly believed that they were a spy or underage so he tried to keep his distance. It wasn’t until Pickles, Toki, and his future S/O were chatting about their age when he found out they were older then they appeared. When he finally realized the two hit it off and have been joined at the hip ever since. His S/O has a mind just like he does so they’re always using their short stature to pull pranks on the others or sneak panty shots of the hot chick standing in front of them at a concert. They love to literally lay on top of Murderface like a cat and fall asleep

Skwisgaar - quite literally the definition of the Tol and Smol couple. Skwisgaar wasn’t too sure of his partner’s tactile nature at first, their level of intimacy didn’t quite fit in with his pump and dump lifestyle. But after a few dates and more than a few sessions in his soirées he had come accustomed to being pampered with sweet and tenderness. He liked having his hair braided after being bathing with his partner and to be honest he loved braiding their hair in return. He loved running his fingers down their spine just to watch the shivers roll through their short body. He loved watching the goosebumps rise on their skin as he caressed the insides of their thighs. And he loved when his partner returned the favor in full.

Toki - adored his partner more than life. He could lift them with one arm and hoist them above his head like a trophy! He loved the parade his S/O around flipping them around in his muscular arms listening to them squeal and giggle just to get a rise out of them. One time when they went to the zoo Toki lifted his partner up on his shoulders so that they could see above the heads of the other taller visitors. He continued to walk around like that throughout the rest of their trip. When their partner wants to cuddle he’s always down. He only asks that they avoid touching his scars. He trusts them but they bring back painful memories and he doesn’t want to associate any pain while with them.

I love these two. The relationship that I’ve built warms my heart. But there’s always something holding me back from drawing ‘full-on ship art’ of these two.

And that’s probably for a few reasons being: I’m still exploring their own relationship, how compatible Ying and Jiang would be, and if it’s something that either character would truly want in their lives. Ying for one, has had this pining for Jiang in their younger days. Jiang of course, already had eyes set for Zhuli. Years later, Ying is still by Jiang’s side, despite everything. Ying has most likely moved on from his crush, as now he’s more focused on helping Jiang stay…mentally stable. I cant deny that these two care about each other very much, but if you’d asked either one the reasons why, their answers will differ in terms on how they view one other, and the role they play in each other’s lives.

It would be interesting to see if Ying finally got what he wanted, Jiang realizing he too, feels for Ying, and see if it’s what Ying was hoping it would be. I actually have a lot more to say but I’ll end up writing a thesis essay or something lol. Anyways enjoy the ol’ owl boys!

Least Favorite Tropes:

Love triangles (I despise almost nothing more)

That things romances do where the protagonist’s long time crush ends up being a horrible, terrible person because apparently that’s the only way to justify them choosing the main love interest. Like why does there have to be something wrong with them? Why can’t they just decide they don’t like the person anymore?

Strong female characters who aren’t actually strong female characters (either because they don’t actually do anything, or because they’re emotionless robots that think they’re better than everyone)

Affairs/cheating (especially when the person they’re having an affair with is endgame). I don’t feel like I can support the relationship when they’re hurting other people in the process.

Isekai. Well, more specifically, reincarnation isekai. I know it’s popular but I just hate it. Do you know how many times I start reading a fantasy story that could genuinely stand on its own as it is, and the main character suddenly goes “you know I’m not actually the princess, I’m actually a 28 year old woman from 2022 who was hit by a bus and reincarnated into the body of my favorite fantasy character” and then the fact they’re actually from 2022 has almost nothing to do with the plot? Aggggh! Sorry, I could go on forever.

Rich, hot man falls in love with girl whose only personality traits are being messy and clumsy.

Childhood sweethearts. I don’t know why, but as soon as I find out halfway through the story that they knew each other as children, I get mad. There are very few exceptions.

Favorite Character Dynamics:

Sorry I’m advance these are mostly romantic dynamics

Sunshine and grumpy (romantic or platonic)

Alien x human (like imagine a Star Trek setting where they are coworkers on a star ship and need to learn each others cultures or like awkward first contact, also acceptable )

Reemerges from the void after several weeks of nothing... really do need to be writing these ideas down at least, coz am still thinking of my AUs, just not talking about them...

Anywhizzle, have been seeing all the AUs wherein F!Leo is dragged into the past with Casey Jr, and thought what if it's the other way around instead?

Like, due to mystic shenanigans the teens (post movie) get yeeted into the apocalypse timeline, at about when the boys are still in their early 30s and Casey is still a tiny child. Donnie is still alive, but Splinter, Raph and Cassandra are dead. (Cass being the most recent death.)

The present boys just kinda appear in Future Donnie's lab and he's just like: "Wut?" Followed swiftly by an intense interrogation on the who's, whys and hows.

And like, the kids are shook coz y'know, there is future version of Donnie in front of them, also adding in that this is the bad future they barely managed to avert. And then F!Donnie just kinda unfolds from his chair and holy cow he is a Tol! That kind of tall and thin with long limbs, easily taller than Raph. But then:

Teen Teetlez: "WHERE ARE YOUR LEGS!?"

F!Donnie: "They're right here!?" *gestures to his prosthetics

That is of course when Future Leo (who is about as tall as F!Donnie, just less lanky and a little more muscular) casually walks in, an arrow lodge in his shoulder and a smol sobbing child Casey clinging to his other arm; "Hey Don can you-" Sees younger version of himself and his brothers. "What the heck!? Don what did you do?"

Which sparks an argument between Future disaster twins (one that keeps getting interrupted as they try to address the arrow still lodged in F!Leo's shoulder only to get repeatedly sidetracked), while the kids are trying to process everything they just learned about F!Donnie as well as all this new information. Raph especially cannot get over the idea that at least 2 of his baby bros are taller than him.

Then Future Mikey bursts in: "Donnie! I just felt this massive mystic disturbance- oh."

Raph is relieved to note that at least Mikey is still smaller than him (he's not actually that smol, at about average height for a human male tho he looks tiny next to his bros), while the others are freaking out over the fact that Mikey has hair!?

Meanwhile, there is still an arrow in F!Leo shoulder and poor baby Casey's sobbing has devolved into distressed turtle noises...
