american girl doll created world by us, a new offshoot that included three of the most beautiful, unique looking dolls they had ever made with stories that tackled modern issues that young girls were actually struggling and contending with, gave each doll one outfit in addition to their meet outfit, and promptly abandoned them. they aren't advertised anymore. hell, u have to scroll forever on the website to reach them. the way that ag treats all of its dolls of color is egregious, but to debut evette, makena, and maritza and give them stories that went beyond the superficial, unrelatable "conflicts" now dumped on every doll and summarily ignore them to the point where it feels inevitable that theyre going to be retired is just especially depressing

some of you don't realize how big Taylor's debut album was. She was technically an indie artist, the only artist from a new small label getting a grammy nomination and touring with the Jonas Brothers based solely on the performance of her first album. It was a big deal. She was signing contracs with Disney after that first album, that's how she got to be in the Hannah Montana movie and why she wrote 2 songs for the movie.

Taylor Swift peaked at number 5 on Billboards 200 and was number 1 for 24 weeks in the top country album list, it became the longest-charting album of the 2000s decade. It was such an unexpected success they made her release the Holliday Collection and The Beautiful Eyes EP while she worked on her second album.

I'm joining Art Fight for the first time!

Hey gang, hope you're all doing well! I'm here to announce that I'm gonna be participating in Art Fight this year (Team Vampire once team sign-ups are open)! It's been so long since I got to focus on illustration, and while I'm traveling to see my grandparents for the month, I'd like to do some drawing. So I'm cracking open a new sketchbook and giving this a shot!

It is probably going to be mostly sketches for me, just to set reasonable expectations. I don't anticipate doing any big, fully colored pieces. But I'm so excited to draw, and I hope that people enjoy my OCs in turn! I had a lot of fun getting some art of them together for this, and writing their bios. today's song recommendation is never need me by rachel chinouriri! i have recommended one of her songs before on fairy fm and i'm back with another one! this is an indie/alternative song (indie pop according to nme) that talks about "taking your power back the moment you realise that helping someone is actually hurting you because they aren’t willing to change" as stated by rachel herself. i would say rachel is an artist to look out for especially this year since this song (like the hills) will be included in her debut album called 'what a devastating turn of events' which will come out may 3rd! if you are really into rock/indie/alternative music like i am, i am sure you will definitely like her music
