I love it when the puppet is more akin to a body part the iterator must not forget to use when conversing with smaller organisms !

oh you are going to LOVE Notos and some of Haboob's lore when the big oc post comes out. and also Zephyr (who gets her puppet mangled into almost unregonizable mess of machinery and organic mush during her collapse but still lives n can Somewhat very minimally move the pieces of the gore). and Fish with his torn off head and half a torso in Saint's time..... i LOVE fuckin around with the puppets

BUT YES YES!!!! the puppet is just. another fucking organ, yea. which is so weird to say... i think of the puppets as fetuses from time to time because of the whole "umbilical" arm and "umbilical" cable business

perhaps the puppet bodies could be directly almost completely organic but hollowed out of mind and individuality in a manner to allow the iterator to plug into it and project their consciousness through it. it wouldn't be too outlandish for the Ancients to create a being for the sole purpose of causing it brain death upon its birth and then shoving the body into a box for a hivemind to claim. for fuck's sake afterall, those things that make up Metropolis might be very much alive too but not quite sentient enough to do much about their existence

(side note: i REALLY fuckin love the idea that Ancients are here like "oooOooOo iteratoooOoOOors you need to find an universal solution to mass ascension of the entire world, we cannot let anything suffer the curse of LiiIIiiiIIife boohooo waaaaah wah" while creating Living things that PHYSICALLY don't have the slightest chance to enjoy their life but only basically existing as bricks with karma. if we assume everything living possesses karma. this is also fun to think about when you know a bit about the buddhistic reincarnation system)

the fetus analogy is also kind of fun besides disturbing though, i'll say, what with fetuses not really being able to live outside of womb and also with the way the iterators look canonically... and that they are so small as well (das why i REALLY like the short iterators thing for canon). squishy ass fetuses, p sure if that shit got severed it would just kind of spasm, shrivel up, die and rot

i've had an idea cycling around my brain for so long of Nish giving a spook to one of the Ancients' children about how an Iterator is a hivemind given singular name and goal to be a singular being instead of millions. he says it in a joking way to wig out the kid a little but it's absolutely 100% true for once

i like to think that Sometimes the main body of the iterators (the superstructure) gets minimized into just "the can" by itself because the iterator gets a bit Too into seeing the puppet as their personification/self, to the point that they start to view That only as them despite their superstructure being alright. this results in one of the many kinds of madness an iterator can fall into - basically the cabin fever amped up, with their literal body causing them this mental decline

Okay last post before sleep cuz ngl though I'm not gonna put Conan in p5 simply cuz there's Too Many Things going on with him that I'd have an easier time with Kaito instead which also, can yall see the problem then? Conan and Kaito is similar in that they're both pursuing and being targetted by a dangerous organization, Kaito is at risk a lot more considering how he's practically putting himself out there with his heists as Kaito KID while the times Conan gets in danger is when he tries to get closer to any of his org nemesis' henchmen for evidence, which doesn't happen often.

But despite that Conan has A Lot of reliable allies, Kaito included (not really on the "reliable" part but more on the "ally" part). While Kaito only has Jii-san which is the same guy making the KID gadgets for him and Conan (again not a "reliable" one for Kaito but still an "ally"). And like???????? What about Kaito's other allies? I'm not counting the group Kaito got pulled into by his childhood friend which is a group made to Catch KID and not help 'Kaito.' Like, what kinda allies are that, Aoko only wants to catch the magician thief, Hakuba is... Hakuba (he can be an "ally" but like Conan, not a reliable one), and there's that... witch who never really does anything much to help but give out warnings. (I forgot her name holup... AKAKO! There we go).

Compared to Conan who has like, a lot, and most of em are spoilers so if whoever reading this wanna get into dcmk, feel free to skip. There's Agasa that's the one creating the gadgets for him, Ai who knows his secret and is practically in the same boat as him (since she was a scientist from the org that wanted out yet shrunk too), Heiji which is like his bestie who's a fairly good detective, THE AKAI FAMILY (That entire family is a mf unit bro, there's a FBI sharpshooter, a mom that's a mi6 agent, another highschool detective with skills on par with Conan that knows jeet kune do, a shogi master that's also insanely good at strategizing in general. Like bro, wtf), Furuya Rei aka Amuro Tooru aka Bourbon-- Also a wtf moment there. CONAN HAS PROTECTION FROM VERMOUTH, one of the most important members of that same organization he's pursuing. Vermouth refuses to hurt and especially kill Conan and Ran.

Like, that kid has it all meanwhile Kaito DOESN'T HAVE ANYONE??? The treatment here. So yes, I'm only putting Kaito in p5 cuz he deserves ppl to be there for him if there's barely anyone in his own source material. (Maybe I'd even put Hakuba in p5 too, as a treat, cuz he's also gotten the short end of the stick too). Hakuba can be with Akechi to put some load off his back with the addition of Another thief getting added in their universe except Hakuba is also a menace of his own way so honestly, good luck Akechi.

#my mum came to visit on Thursday for the weekend #I haven’t seen her in a little over 3 years #I was in the hospital and she flew over to be with me. so. I was in pretty bad shape. not prime interaction there either #and THAT was probably after a 2 year gap? idk anymore #but she visited and tonight she went to her hotel and I won’t see her in the morning bc work so. this was the last night #and it was a fantastic visit by and large. complaints are for things that aren’t her haha #but she left bc the trip is over of course. I’m an adult and I still can’t get over it #I’m happy - seriously so grateful bc her life is very busy and my stepdad picked up a LOT to make it happen #but I guess there’s always going to be that empty wanting for my mum like I’m 4 again and she had to go off to college never REALLY returns #summers off and then occasional holidays and then maybe once a year and. idk I guess you don’t get over some things. school is so weird... you see the same people in the same building five days a week for the best part of a decade and even if you're not friends you know their names and faces... and then one day school ends and you just. leave. and never see most of them again ☹

The one I'm currently using?#Yeah that happened again - different necessity of money spending (please let that continue to be the case) - but same coincidence #Practically the same distance and pay too like what #I hate to use the word NPC 'cause it's taken on such a gross implication as of late but like #Who are these Quest Givers and why do they have the exact amount of EXP I need for the next level when I Really Need to boss fight #I've also been getting back into Stardew Valley which has been great fun - I actually made it to Lv 25 in the Desert Mines!#I got a lot of things very quickly actually - I'm on Year 3 but over the course of like a season and a half I upgraded and acquired a bunch #Got the gold scythe and Iridium pick and the beets and my first fish pond and the Slime Ring!!
