ahh !! i have a good handful,, most of them are merlin related so forgive me spn mutuals ;-; but i'm just going to list them off bc i fear if i give an in depth response this post would be one of those long ones that make your app glitch and phone burn to a crisp in your hands

- jock!castiel... that's all i got 😭😭 i've only recently gotten into spn and castiel is very close to my heart,, but i keep seeing fics where he is a gardner/knitter and while i think he'd be interested i think he'd also drop them very quickly bc he strikes me as a person(?) that likes the idea of taking things slow but when it comes down to it much rather would prefer things get done immediately or at least he can move his body and feel like something is getting accomplished,, he's also incredibly charismatic and i would love to see him leading a team in something without feeling like it could become a cult

-we, @poopunderstander and i, like to imagine they “inherited” it from henry instead of the bunker - there was no men of letters, henry just left his family like a jerk and fell into hunting later, and later still accidentally time traveled

-when they first found it, it was a disaster zone, half hoarder house half abandoned hellscape, with a bunch of junk and cars in the lot. dean handles the outside, sam finds distinct catharsis in methodically cleaning out the rooms. everything he finds - old newspapers, moldy clothes, mummified rats, cursed objects, shreds of magazines - makes him feel closer to making the place his

-the motel is somewhere in montana-ish, near yellowstone, and was last in use in the early 70s, about 15 years after Henry disappeared

-Sam has a wall of phones a la Bobby or Saul Goodman and acts as a point person, cover story, and research base for a small but growing community of hunters

-there’s a big, small-restaurant sized kitchen on the first floor facing the courtyard, and right outside of it there’s a gross old picnic table dean sanded down and repainted. he and Sam sit there most nights

-Charlie sets up the wifi for them as a thank you for helping with her mom in pac man fever

- one room is completely impossible to enter because it’s booby trapped w hex bags

-Dean and Sam share a room for a few months minimum bc they’re so used to sharing a room that it doesn’t occur to them they could each have their own

-Sam fixes up one of the guest rooms super nice for Jody

-they take Magda back to the motel with them, at least at first, and Sam gives her a room with a key and promised her it’s the only key that exists to that room, she’s the only one who gets to decide

-ditto the Banes twins, Sam and Dean take them in for a time after their mother dies (we play fast and loose with canon bc neither of us have watched consistently since 2013)

-Cas fills the empty pool in with soil and starts a garden. Dean, who wanted pool parties, is a little sad (the pool was way, way too old and damaged to be salvaged, sorry Dean). Cas and Sam get super into composting

-they have a waffle maker and it’s like, their favorite thing they own

Why do I always get more fic ideas when I just start writing something? Like it's feast or famine over here.

So the most recent idea (that I don't have time to write) is for a full on horror case fic about hunting the Goatman. Set in early season one, before the boys ever fought a demon or knew that angels existed, and when facing off against something that looks like a fanatical christian's worst nightmare vision of the devil stepped right out of some weird mash-up of Guillermo del Toro and Rob Zombie, that is actively hunting them.

Little Post 15x18 Thing I Wrote

On a table etched with the names of loved ones lost, Sam finds Dean passed out, surrounded by beer bottles and a closed laptop. If there was one thing Sam knew for certain, it was that Dean would drink himself away first, save the world second.

“Jesus Dean, you're a mess,” Sam says shaking Dean awake and throwing away bottles “I have a lead on what to do about Chuck”

“Forget it” Dean murmurs as he awakes, eyes swollen and burned by blue light and tears

Sam pauses in shock and looks at Dean, he can't place it but whatever is going on with him feels different than their usual dread and defeat 

“Forget it? Are you insane?” He watches as Dean gets up and walks away, putting his hand to his eyes, “I get this is hard but we don't have time for one of your week-long binges” Sam spits out

Dean, back to Sam, replies “I said forget it Sam, this isn't a binge. We lost, just take it and move on” 

“Move on? the entire world is ending Dean get your head out of your ass” 

Dean turns to face Sam, eyes wet and face red with rage “It already did Sam” he yells “It ended 30 years ago when Chuck killed Mom and started all of this, it ended when he killed Jess to bring you back into this hellhole and he ended it again when he took Cas, so please tell me what the fuck you are still fighting for?” Dean spits out, chest heaving and body tense 

Sam sees Dean's rage and returns it without missing a beat “I'm fighting for us. I'm fighting for everything we lost, all those people that died because of us, I'm fighting for Cas and Mom and Jack and Eillen, what the fuck are you doing?

“Don't be an idiot Sam, none of that is real” Dean admits from a defeated come-down of rage. Rage turning to pain in seconds “All of it, everything we are and all the people we have loved are because of Chuck”

“Not Cas” Sam whispers into the silent room

Dean tenses at the name, turning away from his brother again

“He was real. You two were real”

Dean puts his hands to his head, trying to breathe in whatever alcohol he has left in his system so he doesn't have to think about this all again

“You owe it to him to fight, he saved you once, now it’s your turn”

Dammit, if only Dean knew how, he would charge into the empty and fix this

“What did he tell you when he first saved you? Good things do happen? Well than prove him right” Sam shouts, moving himself closer to Dean “What the fuck are you so afraid of?”

“Losing dammit” Dean screams out kicking the table leg

Sam stumbles back

“You say all of this and it sounds great but than what? We beat god? Not fucking likely”

Deans words sound like anger but Sam knows his brother well enough to know they come from something much darker “We have to try or else everything we did, everything Cas did, was for nothing”

“Don’t” Dean demands, pointing his fingers at Sam, like a threat

Sam doesn't back down, there's only one way to fix this and its both of them beating Chuck “You know it’s true dean, he saved you cause he knew you could stop chuck”

Sam's words lose their venom, and instead return to a little brother pleading to be heard

“He saved me cause he loves me” Dean confesses like it's the hardest secret he has ever kept 

Sam watches Dean go from angry to sad to angry to broken all in the matter of seconds “what?”

Dean exhales like a suicide note “He loved me. and i fucked up, so there’s no fight anymore Sam. we lost” 

“Losing Cas can’t be the end Dean” Sam says reaching for his brother

“Well it is. We lost our big win, the ace in our sleeves whatever you wanna call it, and know we have no shot beating chuck, so just drop it” Dean says grabbing the closest bottle and walking off into the bunker.

Followed only by the shadow of a grinning God

Imagine Dean getting killed by azazel during stanford era.

John finds the impala crashed in some backwoods road, deans long dead body frozen in the snow, killed by a slash in the stomach just how mary died. He's devastated, obviously, and wracked with guilt because he'd sent dean alone on a hunt just like he had for months. Thinking that he was keeping Dean safe while he hunted for yellow eyes.

John wraps deans body in a cloth, puts him in the back of the truck, and calls Sam.

Sam meets him at the cemetery in Lawrence. He greets his father with a fist to the face, starts yelling, and doesn't stop until he screams his throat raw. John tries to blame sam of course, "If you'd been here, he wouldn't have been alone, etc." The arguing goes on for a while, but eventually, they stop. They bury Dean next to his mother. The idea of burning him, admitting that he's gone forever, it's just too much for either of them to bear. They agree to hunt down Azazel together to get revenge for Dean.

He's ripped away from his heaven as John and Sam hold onto his memory too tight, like all of a sudden they care. Sam carries the amulet, John his gun, and they repair the Impala. Dean is tethered to them. Forced to observe their endless arguing, blaming each other for his death, and coming to blows on more than one occasion. Dean is a spirit now, and though he's glad to be able to help them in subtle ways, he grows more and more bitter over time.

The thing about Dean, though, is that he didn't know it was Azazel who killed him. Hed been dead on impact, the stomach wounds were a sign to John, not him. So, when he died, he died in relative peace. He was tired, alone, unwanted. He was ready to be done.

When he opens his eyes, it's to his childhood home, he's four again, and his mother is waking him up from a nightmare. For a while, he's at peace. Until John finds the body.

Claire Centric fanfic ideas:

Following a case in which only girl hunters are being targeted, Claire reflects on what it means to be a woman in the supernatural world. He starts a journal and an index to track women on the hunting business, along with supernatural beings and creatures that are known to be women.

When Chuck reveals he took Jack's body as a vessel after pretending to lose to Jack, Claire has to infiltrate heaven while Dean goes rescue Cas and Sam distracts Chuck. She reflects about vessels, broken children, Castiel as a father figure and what does free will and fate means to a girl with her past.

An alternative universe in which Anna gave her grace to Claire before becoming human. It studies the unlikely alliance between and angel who wanted to be human and a human girl who grows up hating angels and wanting them all to pay.

Claire infiltrates an only girls Catholic school as the new teacher substitute, in order to track a vengeful spirit. A study of martyrs, virgins and how Catholicism views girls, including those how are queer.

While on a hunt with Patience and Kaia, Claire thinks about how life treats those girl hunters and monsters who are poc. She reflects on Sam and Dean's hunting style and what does it mean to minorities.

Claire ends up in Purgatory to rescue Cas and Dean, where she meets Emma and Benny. Claire studies her differences and similarities with Emma, while they navigate purgatory with Benny's help, she also reflects on Dean's influence in her life.

Claire exploring her gender too when Jack start exploring theirs. They talk a lot, go on roadtrips together, take turns driving and picking up the music, code dress according tp Jack list and call Cas if they need anything.
