What’s your favorite Sims death?
idk this time, whoops. I haven't had a sim die in my game except by old age for a while. 🤔
Alpha CC or Maxis Match?
Both? Is that an option? Both. Really, I like aspects of both and so I blend both in my game. Alpha hair and clay hair, maxis match objects and realistic objects, whatever, if it fits in my game I'll use it.
Do you cheat your sims weight?
I used the SimBlender to change some of the models fit states on my last download post; otherwise, no.
Do you move objects?
I move so many objects, baby 😎
Favorite Mod?
My enormous hacks folder makes this hard to answer, lol. I'll shout out Epi's Baby Personality mod, b/c finally I'm getting some sims with more than 0 to 1 nice points born in Middleground again.
First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack?
It was Pets. Because I've always been an animal lover and it came out right after I started playing.

Black? I guess? Idk, I don't really have a favorite hair color.

Hmm, I don't remember what I answered last time I did this one. I think the little half-up ponytail from Seasons.
Favorite life stage?
Is it a cop-out if I say everything besides the infant stage? (Does that one even count? They're basically potatoes.) Playing this hood for so long, I've come to enjoy playing sims through each of their life stages. Toddler and kid are cute; teen stage is fun because I get to explore their personality and interests more, and ofc there's budding romances for sims who are into that; adult stage, I get to build their lives and see what their own family turns out like; and elders in my game usually get to relax and savor things once they retire, and spend a lot of time with their family and friends and hobbies, which can be a nice change of pace.
Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?

Nooooope. I like to watch some simmers, especially speedbuilds (shout out to @kayleigh-83 and @nervosims for their great speedbuild vids!), but no one would enjoy me flitting back and forth between seven different things at once, lmao
How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?
Play style or aesthetic style? They've both changed over time. Gameplay wise, I really only stick with Middleground and my rotational play now, whereas I used to start (and abandon) a lot of legacies, tried at least one BACC, just random sims that were fun to play. Aesthetically... hmm, you know, I'm not sure this has changed *that* much. Here's Clara circa 2011:
I use more matte skins now, and the style of clothing I download has probably changed the most, but I could absolutely recreate this pic without downloading anything new, including the CC stuff in the background.

What’s your favourite sims death? I would have to say...probably flies. Never had it happen in my game (naturally), tho
2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? 4t2 maxis match conversions, because it's gross and ugly :p No, but for real, I like all cc. People put a lot of time and love into what they create/convert/retexture/recolor. I think that should be recognized.
3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? No...who does that?
4. Do you use move objects? Yes, kind of have to sometimes!
5. Favorite mod? I had to go into my main save for this one haha. I'd say...all the anti-corruption mods. And to piggy back off of brandinotbroke, ACR! The rest I could probably live without if I could ever sort my folder. Oh, also, one mod I'd really like to give a try is Story Progression by LazyDuchess.
6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got? First purchased was Christmas 2005. My parents gifted me Sims 2 and then my birthday a month later I got University, I believe. I should show you all the video of me opening it and running off to play haha. First played was, I wanna say Urbz! and Bustin' Out. We would rent those from the video store.
7. Do you pronounce “live mode” like aLIVE or LIVing? Alive. I recently found out my IRL BFF pronounces it as Living. I've known her almost 20 years and feel like I don't know her anymore 😅
8. Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? Rhiannon, one of my model sims, but all 4 of my models are my favorite. I really should put Rhiannon as a townie in my uberhood. She deserves a life outside of posing.
9. Have you made a simself? Yes, like 18 years ago lol. Ended up corrupting the hood trying to move me with my 10 same face kids to a new neighborhood. I've really enjoyed the premade sims ever since.

(Go get a commission, she's having a sale right now 😉) For gameplay, I let reshade do the work for me and crop/size it to 700x934

What’s your favorite Sims death?
Ugh man, I don't know. I don't let mine die a lot, but they do tend to die from random stupid things. Meteor death, while I was making scenes. Birthday cake fire/death from a gameplay.
Alpha CC or MaxisMatch?
Alpha. I like MM for TS4, but not so much for TS3.
Do you cheat your sims weight?
I haven't had to until recently. Laken ate a whole bunch of pie, autonomously!!! and then the next thing I knew he was all blown up and waddling around. The rest of them seem to have kept themselves in order. Its no good when taking pics of a scene and suddenly someone looks waayyyy different. Fucking Laken.
Do you move objects?
Oh absolutely. I don't think my game likes it. But its a necessary evil.
Favourite Mod?
All of NRAAS, and also all the new toddler interactions from MTS. Skins are a must for me, same with eyes. I don't like dead eyes.

TS3- Generations or Seasons? I think. I had TS2 previously, but that was a lifetime ago and I don't remember what I did with that.

Good question. Maybe this one? I don't use EA hairs for the most part. Jared got a makeover and doesn't use this one anymore, but it was one I've used before. There are some other ones that are decent but I don't have images.
Favorite life stage?
Young Adult, just because it encompasses a pretty huge frame of life. You can make them look 18 or 35+ in the same stage.
Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay?
I like building things, I just suck at it. I love the gameplay, but I also love making up a story as I go. So while I am mostly a story teller here, I do let gameplay dictate a lot of what goes on. High free will is always on.
Are you a CC creator?
In a way. I do have CC out there, but nothing fancy. Just make up and some paintings. I share a lot of my sims because I like making them.
Do you have any Simblr friends or a Sim Squad?
I would say that there are some older sim story tellers and such that have kept me going. There are ones that I think about a lot and would 100% credit me for keeping on, even when things aren't the same as they were before. I do it for you!

Yeah for sure. Any dildo out there that you fancy is directly moulded after Jonah's dick. At least he'd say so.

HAH. I can't even imagine the torture of sitting through me 'playing'.
How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?
I really used to be gameplay only. But In my mind I made up stories and dialogue as it happened and of course laughed at my own jokes and their antics. It wasn't until after TS4 came out and I really went hunting for stories that I started my own, not in TS4 because I couldnt "connect" with it.

I don't know. I do have TS4, but I don't play it. I ended up having TS3, GEN, Seasons, ITF on there.... but then I re-bought it all on Steam way back because Origin is so shifty.
Who’s your favorite CC creator?
Oh man, so many and so niche. But generally Around the Sims is so solid and still converting and making things for TS3. They are the only person I've spent real $$ on.
How long have you had simblr?
I don't know. 6-7 years? Maybe more. I'm sure I could look it up, but... that would make me look back on my life.
How do you edit your pictures?
I used to take reg screens and then run them through Adobe Lightroom. But then I thought I would try gshade-reshade, hated it, then tried it again. I still don't love it, but it cuts down on editing time which means I can actually share/write whatnot. So I'm there now. Reshade.
What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite?
I love ITF... because its just... out there and every so often I love me some sci-fi. With that said I think the game isn't complete without Seasons and Generations. I'll be honest and say that I haven't explored the game to the fullest. I wish it would be "remastered" and more current to todays systems. It would be a whole ass banger if it could actually play on the system I have right now.

oh gosh, okay, tbh, in general idk if i have a favorite, i do like a classic death by old age just because it makes me feel accomplished, lol, but specifically i think it'd have to be the time forrest bonnet died of cardiac explosion the literal second i hit play once i finished building his house 😂

idk why but i am definitely more maxis match for ts4 and semi-realistic for ts2? it just feels RIGHT to me

only for my story sims, in the spirit of keeping things semi-consistent between chapters, because i swear sim stede gains weight faster than any sim i've ever played, and sim ed often ends up TOO BUFF from all of his energized swimming 😂 other than that, i do not, i just let them do their own thing. i dont really use too many custom body shapes for ts2, but definitely coming back to it after playing with the diversity in ts4 has been a bit jarring, but also custom body shapes are a lot of work so. idk what the solution is!

i think mostly i've gotten better at taking and editing pics? gos was pretty much my introduction to sims cc (with the exception of some sailor moon skins/heads i had for ts1 that my dad had to help me install 😂) so that had a HUGE influence on my style that i never really strayed from. i think i toned it down a bit in ts4, but at my core, i am still very neon/grunge oriented

I was tagged in a few things but I’ve sort of forgotten to do them. This one was from @phoebe-twiddle thank you for the tag ♥
1. What’s your favourite sims death?
I would rather all my sims die of old age, tbh. But I really do like the cowplant death (feed your enemy to the plant and use it to lengthen your own life?? amazing). Also I’ve never experienced the murphy bed death, that’d be fun to see!
2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match?
I’m somewhere between mm and realistic. I love good grunge cc and I have a soft spot for photoskinned jeans, but I also love crunchy bright mm hair colors and I try to use maxis items as often as I can.
3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight?
No way. The sim either loses the weight themselves or embraces it. However my playing style is very systematic, which means that sims do certain things in certain order during the day, and they rarely do gain weight. Also, talking about this feels a little icky.
4. Do you use move objects?
You can’t even place modular stairs next to a wall without moveobjects, so yeah.
5. Favorite mod?
hmmmmm I don’t think I could live without the first born syndrome fix that’s included in Lazy Duchess’ RPC launcher. I could go fully without mods but you’d have to tear fbs fix from my cold dead hands.
6. First expansion/game/stuff pack you got?
The first expansion pack I got was the House Party exp for TS1. However my base game was the deluxe edition which also had Livin’ Large. And I followed the same pattern with TS2 - Nightlife was the first one I just had to get.

Alive. You’d call it “Living mode” if you were to pronounce it like that, wouldn’t you?

I don't think I have a "favorite" death but it's always the meteor strikes that get me. I haven't had too many happen in my game but when they do, it is an EVENT lol

Do you cheat your sims weight?
There is no cheat in this game that I have not nor will not try. If I wanted to be miserable, I'd just live in real life so my sims get whatever they want, look however I want them to look, and never ever run out of money or get sick or anything bad. Nope, if there's a cheat for it, I'mma use it!

Absolutely. I am very particular about how I place things, I do not know why lol

Probably the NRAAS mods or any mod that removes things that annoy me about the game. I use a lot of those!

I have a certain list of things that I do before I even start a save now. Another list for once I start. It's a process but it's time tested and perfect! I use a lot more player made creations instead of defaulting to whatever EA gives us. I also do A LOT more travelling and challenges now.

I am really bad at editing any photo and my sims pics are just as bad, lol. I kinda just crop and clean them up a little but my ability really does not extend very far beyond that.
What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite?
Surprisingly to me, it's Supernatural. I say it's surprising because I had no interest in play occult sims or anything like that at all but Supernatural is essential to me for one reason and one reason alone: witches can magically upgrade everything in WAY less time than it takes to manually upgrade something. I know, it's a weird reason but that's seriously why. Big fan of Seasons and Generations as well!

Hi again!
In your “Lone Hunter and Turtle” story, pictures of their families seem to be very important talismans to both Leo and Chula while they’re lost away from home. Given that Chula only expected to have temporary guardianship of Leo and that she would probably never see him again after she got him back to his family, do you think she took lots of pictures of/with Leo so that she could sort of keep him with her once he was gone (cause Force dammit that kid is family now too)?
If so, what kind of pictures do you think she took? Some options might include:
Candids: Chula tries to only take pics of Leo behaving as naturally as possible. This might include pics of him falling asleep in strange places, him playing in the water from a distance when they landed to let him swim/soak, him reacting to new worlds/societies they stopped at, etc.
Selfies: At any and all opportunities, Chula slings an arm around Leo and takes a selfie with him (or vis versa!). Some of these may have been taken at less-than-advisable moments, with a few showing tied up prisoners they were taking in for bounties or blurry angry charging animals in the background that they should probably be running from.
Portraits: If Chula is anything like my Nana, she would spend so much time getting Leo to pose, then adjusting where he’s standing because the background isn’t right, then adjusting the lighting/realizing Leo isn’t showing up because he’s standing in the shade so she faces him into the sunlight to make sure his face is well lit. (Please Nana I’ve been staring into the sun for 10 minutes I am going cross-eyed and my face hurts from smiling). She may also carefully set up her camera then set a timer so she can quickly jump into frame with Leo. It takes at least 5 tries to get it right. Occasionally tries to stage “candids” and tells Leo to “just act natural” to which he proceeds to act the most unnaturally anyone ever has in the galaxy.
If she has been taking photos of Leo, does she start taking pictures of/with the rest of his family once she meets them? If so, early pics of Donnie would probably be really blurry with him baring his teeth and hissing/growling. (These are some of Chula’s favorites)

Oh yeah, Leo and Chula both have pictures of their misadventures. But out of the pair, Leo definitely has way more and his are mostly selfies with the most absurd stuff happening in the background.
Chula is a bit of a sporadic picture taker. She does have a few pictures on her holoprojector, a few of her squad, some of her life on Mandalore, a few very old ones that her father took of himself and her mother. The majority of the ones she takes are candid shots where capturing the moment just felt like the right thing to do.
But she did take a few more pics of Leo doing his thing than she normally would. Because she is fully aware from day one that Leo being in her life is temporary, but instead of doing the stereotypical 'keep the kid at arms length, must not get attached' she does the 'I will treasure this time with this awesome kid because this might be all we have.'
And she absolutely snags a pic of Donnie's hissing face because she thinks its cute.

Maxis ehehe. I used to be an alpha girly but the jarring difference between my sims and their surroundings while in regular game mode made me switch (that and also poly count).

Sometimes, depending on the sim and what's going on in their lives. For Safya I do because in my mind she regularly runs (even when I don't have the time to actually do it in game) and for Alfonso because sometimes he gets too muscly, otherwise not really.

I low key don't, Gshade does most of the work. I religiously use Gunthermunch's lithium for CAS pics (also use it for gameplay pics tho I've been getting into Waves shader cause is very bright and colorful!) When I'm feeling inspired I like to bring in the background color with a soft edge brush and maybe throw in some sparkles in PS.
What expansion/game/stuff pack do you want next?
I've heard absolute wonders about TS3's late night and showtime so a mix between those two should be very fun! Plus it would enhance the city lifestyle gameplay imo.

Friends....today I have struck Squishmallow gold
I popped into the Five Below in my old neighborhood, knowing yesterday there was a squish event there. I hoped to find some leftovers from the occasion, and surprisingly stumbled upon 2 full crates of Squishmallows. They had everyone from Wendy's squad except Avery and the owl. I was very tempted to get the octopus and Connor the cow (Connor I would resell). They also had what I assume to be a new fantasy squad that included a blue dragon with long horns, a white unicorn, and a black/weird rainbow catacorn (tho I'm not 100% sure if they're from the same squad. Kellytoy seems to have updated squishmallow tags so the new ones don't show the rest of the squad) In the end I decide to only get the 3 7.5in babies you see in the pic. I already have a 10in Wendy but I love frogs so I got another one (dw there was a lot of her). And Seth. Oh sweet beautiful Seth. He's been my longest DISO squish. I'm thrilled to finally have the original red panda in my collection at last
As for Ludwig. My datemate and I visited the mall today as well. We went into Hallmark to see if they had any leftover spring squad or any sanrio squish. They had both but nobody that I wanted. Except this guy. I freaked when I saw Ludwig. He is my favorite Squishmallow frog, and my biggest DISO. I'm ecstatic to have found him, especially since Valentine's day is long done. I nearly spent the last of my money to buy him but it was absolutely worth it. I am literally so happy rn

I have 8 monster high dolls, most of them are gifts, a couple of these I was really itching for. It all started with Twyla. then my dad said she needed a sister, so he got Toralei for me. then the others came! July was a fun month for me last year. So now I have what I jokingly call a cult.
They're ontop of what I call my treasure shelf, and every so often, I pick them up, admire their details...and put them back.
first up is Abbey Bominable, who I got at a christmas party at my mental health group! I was SO. STOKED. When I pulled off the wrapping paper and saw her. I took her out right away and got some pics with her. I love her snowy/winter theme, her fangs, her COLOR SCHEME, and the iridescence on her split pants. I'm not fully caught up on anybody's LORE, but I imagine that even though she's tall, she's very polite...and makes snowcones for everyone.
She often...falls down when I bump my desk though.
Next, I have Lagoona Blue. I love the pink and blue on her, I think she looks really nice with pink. I'm a huge lover of the water element, so one day I asked if I could get her. Well, some weeks later, I got a delivery...and there she was! I love her freckles, her scales, her fins, HER SHOES... she did need some conditioning though LOL but she's good now. I imagine she has the homestuck fishy typing quirk, to be honest, like, she types with glubs. But she is FIERCE and she knows it!
Next is the iconic and ever popular Draculaura, her charms have not failed on me. Stunning, iconic, just about everybody knows her, even if they don't know monster high. Even though there's a core refresh, I'm not going to get a double. Her stockings and hells, OH MY GOD, and she has fangs as well! I love her bat earrings, her split hair colors, and her accessories are really humorous. Very good company, but she hisses when exposed to direct sunlight. You wanna know how she applies her sunscreen? She squirts it into a painting pan, gets a roller, and just gets it completely saturated before she saturates herself in the concoction.
Next is Toralei. My dad picked really good, getting her for me. Unfortunately, her wiki page states her being a bully, but I said I'd teach her to be nice, lol. She comes with beautiful accessories, including a mic stand, she has an actual tail that I use to keep her hair staying put, and i LOVE her clothing. She really is a rockstar. Uhmmm apparently she's getting a redemption arc in g3?? I hope she's able to use her current assets and doesn't get toned down as the g3 series progresses.
Next is Clawdeen, and I got her out of her packaging when I was in a discord call; I stated that I was doing surgery. Unfortunately she did have to get her hair cut, the ends were all matted, I'm not sure what caused that. But she still has her curls! I tried to paint her nails at some point...and they look okay. She's definitely the fierce one of the group, with a zero tolerance policy for bullying or harassment. If you start something, she will be on your tail to make you own up to it and apologize. Gorgeous, I love her outfit and accessories, she even has FRECKLES which I squealed over. She's also a member of the Fang Gang.
Next is the eclectic and elecrifying Frankie! They're definitely my favorite of the boo crew? Ghoul squad?? please correct me. I love how energetic and yearning they are. They were also a surprise gift for me. I love their decorated metal leg, their earrings, their HAIR IS SO ICONIC! And I love that they're canonically nonbinary/go by they/them. They're weird...just like me! And I bet they're constantly thinking outside of the box...of which they'd respond with "what box?".
Of course I had to get their girlfriend next! Cleo De Nile. A bit snooty, but I guess it comes with being absolutely spoiled. Fabulous without a doubt...and she has shades, just like Frankie does! I love that one leg is different than the other, I'm unsure if that's her skin, or bandages. Fabulous, and will help you be fabulous as well. She'll teach you how to strut, too.
Last up is absolutely my favorite, Twyla. Twyla...just needed to be in my life. I had to have her. She's purple, and autistic, just like I am! Her hair needed some touching up when I first got her, but now she's all good. She's the sweetest little thing, and I think she has my favorite design. Her design elements show "I'm a shadow monster". She also has eyes that glow in the dark! I tried painting her nails too...green to stand her out a bit more. She's just...adorable! I love her so much.
