Okay, so one of the important things to the Draxum raises the turtles AU is that they all end up going to a yokai school, right? There's a specific reason Draxum picked the school he did for them: he used to teach there. For several decades, actually, and he was a reasonably popular and well respected professor up until he suddenly quit without an explanation. He went from being fairly involved in the community, if a little withdrawn, to basically disappearing, and no one really knows why. (What happened is that he discovered the prophecy that yokai would be destroyed and knew he had to do something about it. It became his sole focus.)

It isn't until he shows up one day to enroll four children in the next semester's classes that he gets involved with the school again, and the rumors start flying.

Heeey Glitch! So, I'm the author of an AU called 'Lone Hunter and Turtle', basically, Leo gets himself out of the Krang dimension but something happens and he ends up far away from Earth and on an alien's ship (the 'hunter' is my oc) And, because I have no self control, I have a sub-series for the main fic that I dump all the related stuff that pops into my head about the AU. Including non-canon ideas like crossovers.

One of my commenters suggested I drop my alien gal into the LFLS universe and I found the idea intriguing but I wanted to ask before I play around too much.

So, may I introduce my overprotective, alien bounty hunter with a soft spot for kids to your very sad, crispy, traumatized terrapin? ....and Drax, commenters specifically mentioned her meeting lfls Draxum.

The Hunters Headcanons! ♡( ◡‿◡ )

I just wanted to write something about these two hoodie bastards that I adore. 🥰 Again, sorry for my bad english and cringe. 😅

Both Hunters' names are unknown. That's why they are both labeled as L4D1 Hunter and L4D2 Hunter.

L4D2 Hunter is one and a half years older than L4D1 Hunter. Surprisingly, L4D1 Hunter is more dominant and egotistical. On the other hand, L4D2 Hunter is more aggressive and powerful. Despite this, they still take care of themselves and always protect each other.

Before the outbreak of the Green Flu virus, the brothers lived in a small apartment in Fairfield, Pennsylvania and worked at a local shoe store.

Three days before the apocalypse, L4D2 Hunter went on vacation to Savannah, Georgia, while his younger brother continued to work.

When the outbreak began, L4D1 Hunter was barricaded in his suite with supplies for two weeks. Later, one infected person got to him and bit him. L4D1 Hunter immediately shot him down, but a few minutes later he felt the pain of mutating and losing control, stormed out and began his first hunt.

L4D2 Hunter became infected a few weeks later. When he found out what happened at home, he was worried about his brother. He tried to return home, but unfortunately the airport wouldn't let him fly back to Pennsylvania. Later, the virus made its way to Savannah. He waited frustrated in the quarantine where one of the patients was infected with Green Flu and bit him. Soon a horde appeared and chased him until finally he started to mutate and fought against them and he was the last one alive. During the fight, he lost his shoes and had torn clothes.

The two brothers reunited in Rayford Port when they chased down both groups of the survivors. Somehow they managed to recognize each other and together they began to chase the second group of survivors to New Orleans, where their fates remained unknown.

Their interactions with other Special Infected are unpredictable. Both hate Jockey's maniacal laughter that scares their animal prey. L4D1 Hunter goes best with L4D1 Smoker and L4D1 Boomer, while L4D2 Hunter gets along with L4D2 Smoker, Charger and Witch. But when it comes to food, they fight over it. The brother are afraid of Tanks and try to avoid them and their fury.

The Hunter Brothers consider other Hunters who befriend their prey to be traitors.

Of course, their main enemies are the Survivors, whom they like to chase. They hate Francis and Nick the most.

Calling them "scavengers" is a bigger insult to them than Francis calling them "wussies".

The Hunters Brothers are constantly cursing. A lot. And not very pretty…

L4D1 Hunter prefers cooler climates, while L4D2 Hunter prefers warmer climates.

They always hunt together, thanks to which they have more success. Of course, they also hunt for fun, like trolling survivors and other infected. Their favorite prey are lone survivors, deers and pigeons.

When they are bored and there are no survivors or animals around, they will annoy common infected or Smokers.

They rarely collect roadkills when there is a shortage of prey around, but it's mostly boring because they love the thrill of the chase.

Despite the fact that they are zombies, at least they have preserved some humanity, as for example they will not allow themselves to kill a child and a baby animal. Even they have a soft spot for cats and turtles.

Like cats, they have an addiction to catnip, which makes them relaxed and non-aggressive.

Sometimes they don't recognize their reflection in the mirror and start growling and hissing thinking it's an intruder. After a few minutes of growling and screeching, they realize it's themselves.

They despise lemons. Mainly the acidity and the smell.

They both adore do parkour (dah) and love to watch slasher horror movies.

L4D2 Hunter listens to Midnight Riders and jazz music. L4D1 Hunter prefers classical music.

L4D1 Hunter is secretly a bit of a romantic. He cries at romantic movies realizing he is forever alone.

They are big fans of Assassin's Creed and were inspired to do parkour tricks of assassins. L4D1 Hunter is an Altaïr fan and L4D2 Hunter is an Ezio fan (Fun fact: AC2 and L4D2 were released on the same date, November 17th 2009).

If those two had Tiktok, they would do challenges that would be impossible or even dangerous for humans. This is not to make them famous, but to make it easier for them to get prey due to human stupidity. Well, later they are banned from the platform.

The Hunter Brothers sleep next to each other in various random places: on the bed, on the closet, in the box, just anywhere that is comfortable.

can we talk abt the 2k3 episode Lone Raph And Cub for a min here?

like omg i cannot express how much i LOVEEEE this epsiode. raph and tyler are such an oddly cute duo and the way raph looks after this literal random child he found on the street is just so adorable?! like??!

the whole premise of the episode is actually terrifying though like. this kid who cant be any older than eight or nine, maybe ten, literally got KIDNAPPED BY A GANG AND HIS MOM IS BEING HELD HOSTAGE?? like that in itself is scary enough but then this giant talking turtle shows up too and its like?? huh?????

i literally love this episode so much though bc of how raph develops in it. up until then, he never really shows much 'responsibility', usually that went to leo. but hes actually pretty good at being a leader too, when he needs to be (technically in The Monster Hunter this was also shown when he helped leo forge new swords) but i just ajsjsgsfhagsfarrqfshjskamnajnsjhaihiah hes such a good guy even if he doesnt realize it or doesnt think so, he really is a good leader and role model.

What is your personal favorite underrated fan story based on ROTTMNT(something that’s overlooked, mainly)?

I’m not sure if you mean fanfic but if you do! I have a couple. If this is not what you meant feel free to ask me again 😂 but here they are!

Three Days to Live by SpectrumWriting is the first one that came to mind! It’s a human AU but it’s written incredibly well and the action is immaculate and almost nonstop. It’s also Cyberpunk adjacent which is something I love a lot. I highly highly recommend giving it a read, it was so much fun! It’s also Complete.

The Fantasy AU is another! This is a collection and has a couple people writing for it, but it’s under CharmyWizard’s account. It is also, sadly, unfinished, but it was still worth the read! It had fun ideas and I loved how Donnie was written in it the most. I recommend looking into it for sure!

Outside of those two, there are fics that GOT attention but I do think deserve a little more love! These ones are crossover fics.

First, I’ll mention A Tale of Spirits by Unorthodoxx, which is an ATLA x ROTTMNT crossover. And while the concept had me wary when I first heard of it, I was immediately swept up into the writing! Its perfectly balanced and is very character driven and I love it a LOT! This one is currently ongoing.

And next, Lone Hunter and Turtle by MidnightCreator! This one is a Star Wars/Mandalorian crossover. It was really fun and handles its world well. Its also one of the few fics where I immediately liked an OC and got extremely attached. I hope they write more someday. The main arc is complete, so even if they don’t write more, it’ll make sense and end well!

A lot of my other favs are one shots or really short. I won’t list them here unless you’d like me to 😂 but yay! Fics!!!

Alright, if I can be real with you all, one of the animals that I want to see the most show up in Prehistoric Planet season 2 is Ocepechelon. I’m not sure if any of y’all that don’t know aren’t ready for what this species looks like, but I’m very, very, VERY happy to show it off.

You folks might wanna strap in for a bit, but this is gonna be a doozy....

...What’s that? You people think this was some sort of ancient crocodile with a broken snout? Well, I really wouldn’t blame any of you, as not only were the scaly buggers extremely common back in Maastrichtian times, a good few species were found in this guy’s native range (the Ouled Abdoun Basin). However, something tells me that your folks AREN’T ready for what this guy really was.

Yeah, that’s right; This thing was a frickin’ SEA TURTLE...with a SNOOT. Not only that, this guy was also one of the largest seas turtles that we know of. Even dwarfing the leatherbacks of today. Don’t believe me? Take a look and see how massive this absolute unit was.

While not as big as the largest specimens of Archelon, Ocepechelon was still a big boi, easily being alot bigger than the leatherback turtles of today’s oceans. With that in mind, you might think that this species fed on a similar diet to its relatives to get that big. Well, guess again! As if this Pingu-looking bastard wasn’t already full of surprises, it still has one MORE to give to the world. Guess what it was.

C’mon, guess. The clue should be obvious enough...

That’s right... Sometime during the history of life on our planet, there was a sea turtle that not only had the snoot of either a beaked whale or pipefish...it also fed in the SAME. EXACT. WAY as them. Evolution is one hell of a drug in terms of looks, but if it helps with a creature’s own survival, Mother Nature is allowed to trip balls as damn well as she pleases.

Now, with that said, I think I know just where in Season 2 would be perfect for this lovechild between a leatherback sea turtle and a beaked whale.

Not only did one of my own predictions came true (I.E., the baitball scene of my dreams), this presents a great opportunity for Ocepechelon to show up in the series. The following scenario presents itself as such.

66 million years ago, in what would be the Ouled Abdoun Basin, the seas off of the north African coast were teeming with life, especially great big schools of fish. One such example would be a massive school of Enchodus. Huge schools of these prehistoric relatives of lancetfish would be a potential feast for massive ocean predators. Huge marine reptiles like Zarafasaura, along with large sharks like Squalicorax, would lead the chase, causing the baitball to be packed tighter and tighter together. It’s then where more and more predators join in for the great feast; Stratodus (A large, predatory fish with a long and flexible body), seagoing pterosaurs like Alcione and Tethydraco divebombing from the skies above to grab a beakful, a gharial-like mosasaur in the form of Gavialimimus, and other such predators, all working together to wear down the moving feast. And for any stray fish that somehow managed to escape the many jaws of the first few waves of arrivals, they’re suddenly sucked in by a large, darkish grey snout-like mouth. A lone Ocepechelon, accompanied by his entourage of small fish that stay by him for protection, has slowly swam into the feeding frenzy up above, picking off any stranglers that avoided the jaws of the other predators. The male turtle, as with many others of his kind, is cool with taking it slow and easy, being content with snacking on the few remaining stranglers that survived the previous waves of of hunters, all starting to get their fill as the baitball not only starts to get very small, but also starting to leave. As the other predators all leave the scene, the Ocepechelon is more than happy to suck up the rest of the Enchodus, leaving only but a few shimmering scales as he himself, along with his own school of fish, heads out into the big blue beyond.

That (frankly long) description is how I’d imagine how a segment featuring Ocepechelon would play out in Prehistoric Planet. Given how we finally got the teaser trailer for Season 2, it shouldn’t be long before we get more news on this batch of brand-new episodes. And who knows? Maybe out Pingu-snouted friend here will grace the world with his mere presence. I’m certainly bracing for it as we speak.
