🚨EMERGENCY! PLEASE READ!🚨

Moataz @moatazart, Mariam, and baby Maria are set to make the dangerous journey from Gaza City in the north to Rafah in the south. From there, God willing, they will enter Egypt.

HOWEVER, the money they had allocated to procure shelter and food while in Egypt was utterly depleted by exploitative fees and hidden costs, which we break down in this post. Moataz speaks more on the situation in this post and on his own blog @moatazart, which we ask people to follow and boost. They have a fund going to raise the remaining money, but the fund only has a week and a half left before it closes! They are not even halfway to their goal!

Please share what you can with Moataz’s family so they can find safety and security in Egypt! They have no one in Egypt with whom they can stay and currently nowhere near enough money to secure shelter! After all they have survived, please don’t let this young family be left vulnerable! If they cannot procure food and shelter, they will be extremely vulnerable not only to the dangers of homelessness, but to groups and individuals who prey on refugees!

Safety for Gazan refugees does not end with leaving Gaza! If this campaign is not finished in LESS THAN 2 WEEKS, they will be homeless in Egypt! They are so close to a fresh start, please don’t let all the risks they are taking to find safety be for nothing!

It never occurred to me to show my support for Gaza bc l've been relatively vocal on my other socials (also no fucking shit I'm on their side in this genocide against them) and do what I can to help, but I realize that perhaps my silence has given off the impression that I do not care what's happening.

I saw a tweet that talked about the recent boycott and it said "This is not about you, this is about Palestine." and I think that's how l've always seen it. I don't eat at certain places anymore or purchase e-sims when I have the funds, share links and stories, boost the voices of those on the ground and such. I am not loud about my support on all my social media. It isn't about me or you, it's about helping people who need it and Palestine has needed it for YEARS.

There are things I cannot do, like donate more than I'm able or attend certain protests or stop everyone in my life from supporting zionist companies/celebrities or make beautiful art that captures what's going on, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop trying to do what I can in my day-to-day life. Neither should you.

I am Kelly, My family is in danger. They are trapped in a city in Gaza called Rafah. They fled there because my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and the only chemo treatment she could receive was there. Due to a militia that is increasingly taking over the country and bombing hospitals, all of the disabled, sick and elderly had to flea to Rafah to get medical treatment. Hundreds of thousands of Gaza people fled out of Rafah earlier this week after the militia overtook the Gaza military. My family was unable to flee because my grandmother is elderly and sick.

As of yesterday, my grandmother, disabled aunt, aunt who is sick with Malaria and my two teenage girl cousins were trapped at the top of an apartment building that has been overtaken by militia. They are helpless.

My aunts are sick and they have been injured. My two cousins are just children. Please help my family.

I'm so so sorry that this is happening to you. That is terrible and it breaks my heart to hear it. If I could go there personally and get them out I would. All I'm able to give your family and your people from a continent away is support, donations and duas! Lots and lots of duas. And I shall keep giving it !

Hang in there my friend, God is watching and retribution can't be too far away.

One of my Palestinian friends recently lost her 74 year old grandmother to bombings in Rafah. I've been praying for her for weeks now. She is 12 years old and has to cope with a loss like that. I'm here to tell her story. She was born in Palestine and left at 6 months old with her family. She is a truly brave girl, and I love her wholeheartedly. She's Muslim, and our school will not permit her to wear her hijab. I am so disappointed in our government. She gave me consent to spread her story. Her grandma was one of the people killed when they bombed Rafah during the Super Bowl. In honor of her and my good friend Rosie, I will be hanging these up anonymously around my school. I will not let that sweet old lady's death be in vain.

Ceasefire now.

Rosie called me about 3 weeks ago weeping for the safety of her grandparents. She has not been at school for the past two days. She tried to push through her best, but it's really been getting to her lately. Pray for Rosie, and pray for Palestine. I don't care what religion you are. Pray for these innocent civilians.
