Thinking about how selfless Es is. Not in the sense that they care about helping others more than themselves, but as in they literally do not care about themself. They do not have any will or desires of their own, and if they do they simply through it to the side so they can more easily do what others want from them for no benefit or satisfaction. They exist to be projected onto by Milgram, by the audience, by the prisoners. People always want things from them but they want nothing in return because what are they supposed to want?

i mean, hell. i want more aro and ace characters in general because there are so many ways to experience being aro/ace and of course all of those aspec experiences deserve representation

but it just. really fucking sucks that we don't get to see nearly anyone go "yeah i'm not interested in a romantic/sexual partner and i'm okay with that" without having that be treated like something wrong with them, something to be pitied, something another character has to come in and "fix"

i want a character that explicitly doesn't want any of those things taken seriously by fandom without an influx of people trying to "fix" them by shipping them in ways that clearly disregard their orientation

i'm so used to seeing characters like me seen as broken or missing something. i want to see more characters like me being affirmed as complete people allowed to live their lives how they want.
