The meteor from FFVII and the moon from LoZ: Majora's Mask are usually compared for three things:
They are big and scary.
They land on the major city/town of their game.
They move too slow to actually destroy the world.
GameTheory made a nice video explaining the damage of the Moon, how it moves so slowly that the only real damage done to the land of Termina would be straight on Clock Town. The game itself shows the world in flames during the collision, but the math behind it doesn't add up. It's moving too slow.
But in Final Fantasy VII, that's the point.
Sephiroth's goal in the original was to become a god. He needs to absorb the entire Lifestream to do so. Many times throughout the game, the Lifestream is called The Blood of the Planet. And like blood, when there's a wound large enough to "bleed", the Lifestream gathers to clot it. Destroying the planet entirely would probably throw that glowing green planet juice into orbit, which would be much harder to get to in the long run (And the whole goal of using the planet as a vessel to sail the cosmos, but that doesn't come up until the sequel movie).
So Sephiroth, instead of destroying the planet with Meteor, just needs to severely wound it. He could have aimed for the random plains throughout the world, but even the flat landscape would probably result in less Lifestream concentration. Why? Because Midgar is already a wound on the planet. It has eight (8) mako reactors. EIGHT. Mako is literally the Lifestream being converted to electricity. Each reactor is it's own cut, its own stab. It's just not severe on its own. Sephiroth's strategy is simple: put salt in the wound and make it bigger. In this case the salt needed is a little larger than tablesalt and the wound is a literal city.
Meteor's massive size but slow descent wasn't just an aesthetic choice to strike constant fear into the hearts of the players. It 100% aligns with Sephiroth's plans.

Hello it is Tunnelbun Baker Anon here. I have decided 2 create a prototype before I make the actual bun ….. would a carefully shaped tortilla be an acceptable substitute for the crust until I can get actual dough for the actual bun. I am extremely meticulous about my tunnelbun projects, you know
Tumblr media
Tortilla would work perfectly as a prototype, here, I grabbed you a recipe too
This calls for a tablespoon of olive oil; try replacing that with canola oil or linseed oil instead and see if that works.
The salt is difficult for the cats to acquire but as a prototype, just go ahead with regular tablesalt because that's waaaay easier to get than burning coltsfoot or dandelion roots

Could you please post a basic protection/negative energy release spell for baby witches? I did a positivity spell yesterday and fear I wasn't clear enough as I woke up this morning with many negative things hitting me from every angle, that or I'm going through my dark night transition and I'm still unsure of how to handle this, any advice would be great. 🌿💕🍃
One I use frequently and get better the more I do it was originally taught to me by another witch friend. It goes by different names but the technique is the same: breath, meditate, and/or ground yourself and imagine a bubble or viel around you. This will be an energetic barrier for you. Fortify when needed throughout the day. You can also wear a scarf/wrap over your head as a physical barrier to increase the sensation.
Aside from that technique I've found stirring and cooking in a counter clockwise motion to banish negative energies help.
Salt. Salt is a great easily accessible protectant. Some sprinkle it on doorways and entry ways to form a barrier. I've heard of others cleaning with it the set the energy protectant in their home or room. Cleaning with it could be as simple as sprinkling in the area and sweeping it. Or a little more complicated as mixing it into your mop water or cleaning spray. Ideally use sea salt but regular tablesalt works as well
I find asking my guides and tarot where the energies are coming from helps as well.
Most of my spellcrafting involves food, water or art/sigil magic. Feel free to tell me how it goes or asks for any clarification

Having Trouble with Pour Over
Having Trouble with Pour Over I'm going to preface this by saying I love coffee, but am very much a hobbyist rather than a die-hard. I have a little bit of knowledge and some very entry-level gear, and I prefer pour overs to most other brewing methods. I have been successful with my pour overs in the past, primarily medium roast Guatemalan beans from the grocery store because they're cheap and surprisingly good. Recently, my favorite local coffee shop started roasting their beans in excess to bag and sell. So instead of shelling out copious amounts of money each week for their Ethiopian light roast pour over, I purchased the beans to make at home. Except I cannot for the life of me produce a cup even remotely close to theirs. I did ask them about their ratios and grind settings, but the manager was around and the barista seemed very hesitant to discuss it.I've played around with my brews the past couple of days, but am underwhelmed every single time. At the coffee shop, their Ethiopian light roast pour over is medium bodied with a juice-like slickness and a berry-like sweetness, with a soft acidity. However when I make it at home, the coffee borders watery with a slightly sour, slightly bitter flavor profile and a scant and distant sweetness. Quite frankly it feels and tastes like convenience store coffee.I'm brewing using a ceramic Chantal Lotus with brown Melitta paper filters and a Cosori electric gooseneck, temperature set to 205°F (and have tried the 212°F setting as well).I only have a kitchen scale purchased from Target to measure, but I'm using 28g of coffee for 390g of water, ground to a coarse tablesalt-like consistency using a Shardor conical burr grinder.I'm using about 200g of water to rinse the paper filters and preheat my mug. Blooming coffee for approx 40 - 45 seconds with 60g of water before finishing with two more pours. Total brew time from bloom to finish generally clocks in around 4½ minutes. Is there anything glaringly wrong here? Sea Salt vs. Table Salt
Salt is essential in our daily life and also adds flavour to food. Read to know the differences between sea salt vs. table salt. #seasalt #tablesalt #salt #canadasalt
Salt is one of the magical ingredients used in cooking or baking and is the only element virtually present in almost all recipes. Salt adds flavour to your food and is an essential nutrient in daily life. In addition to being used in cooking, salt acts as an excellent preservative. While baking cakes, salt is used to strengthen the gluten structure of bread dough. Although most of the salt is…

Himalayan pink salt has emerged as an alternative to regular salt mainly because it contains minerals that table salt does not have.  However, the sodium content of Himalayan salt is slightly less than regular table salt, and there are variations of sodium depending on the brand.  Please, take a minute to read the nutrition label!  #Hymalayansalt #sodium  #tablesalt #readlabels
#Himalaya #sal #sodio  #saldemesa
