Backstory: A Majin native to Conton City, Starburst has had plenty of chances to prove herself proper to Chronoa. Eventually, it came a moment when Chronoa was actually endangered by a time rift growing unstable. Starburst stepped in to face off against an augmented Legendary Super Saiyan Broly (The one from Z) alongside various smaller Majin Buu's.

Utilizing techniques used by a wide variety of characters, she repelled the invading entities and protected the Time Nest whilst Future Trunks and the Future Warrior were handling other matters. Chronoa congratulated her for her heroics, much to the dismay of Starburst, to the point where she gave her a high priority mission.

Starburst was entrusted the task of watching over a new world created with the help of others; Gamindustri V2. At first she had no idea who any of these people were, but deep down she knew that this was the responsibility she was waiting for. She took the job, and is now their Guardian Angel so to speak.

Powers: A mixture of Strike and Ki Blasts, Starburst is a variety fighter, able to fight with physical and mental strengths at once. She often incorporates a mixture of unarmed and armed combat; sporting a Blade she crafted herself. Of course, she learned a lot of moves from various different individuals who have appeared in Conton City over time, including:

Jiren (Menacing Flare)

Goku Black (Divine Lasso, Divine Retribution, Sudden Death Beam)

Boba made her own sword! Originally she had one from her dad (who knows where Tapion gets these swords--), but it broke during a battle while she went to visit her mom's homeworld, Questia. She met the Kami of the planet and had a trial to build her Lordian blade. Because Boba is half Lordian (the ""bad"" race of Questia, versus their ""hero"" race the Solarians) her blade can carry enchantments. One of which can harm Majins and Demons.

She has used this sword to bonk Koko and Saami when they act up. She hopes to do the same to Fu when he shows his face--

Trunks' sword belonged to Gohan, it was one of the items that he found within one of Gohan's caves. The blade and hilt of course had been altered of course but it really does belong to his old mentor. Which is why Trunks remarks that it's comforting.

NOTE: I know in the very last Z movie Present Trunks had gotten the sword from Tapion, I used to believe the same was for Trunks too because even in Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Trunks seems to know him BUT in the recent episodes of Dragon Ball Hero, Trunks had met Tapion and..well he didn't even know who he was.

You know, when you think about it, Movies 9 and 13 don't seem to contradict much of anything from Dragon Ball if at all. It's actually one of these thing where people can choose whether it's canon or not. MasakoX even stated that you can make Movie 9 canon and not change much of the plot at all.

You say they "don't seem to contradict much" from the main series continuity. But there are 2 keywords there. "Seem" & "much." Meaning there is some contradiction. Those contradictions are why I dont consider them to be in the main continuity.

Tapion gives Kid Trunks the sword Future Trunks uses to explain how Future Trunks got his sword. Doesn't make sense. (IF I'm remembering correctly. Correct me if I'm wrong.) Plus the battle is never referenced in the main continuity, giving more evidence that it never happened in the main continuity.

Its not if those movies are canon or not; those movies ARE canon. But they ARE NOT canon to the main continuity. They are canon to the Z movie verse; DBZ Movies 1-13 + GT (link here explains why I say so).

I do not take what MasakoX has to say has evidence of anything other than his DBZA influenced headcanons. He is often inaccurate when it comes to DB knowledge. He adds more of his ideas than what the series actually reveals. Even ignoring certain details as many other ppl do. Just because you're popular doesn't mean you are a knowledgeable source of accuracy. Even Geekdom (from what I noticed) gets things wrong but ppl take it as gospel without checking if he's right. Both of them combine the manga & anime continuities as well as ignore innacuracies of Z Bardock to make DBS Bardock look lesser. But many in the fandom don't want accuracy. They want their bias confirmed by popular & influential people. What many of the popular DB YouTubers do is appeal their base and the Saiyan fans of the fandom. Meaning if something is innacurate but still popular within the fandom, they don't go against it. They have innacurate ideas of what Saiyan Pride is despite the series telling us it is pride in their strength but to the degree of arrogance. They look over things the Earthling characters do instead of looking into them like they do for Saiyans, because majority of their fanbase are Saiyan fans. Did you know Krillin has a lot of references to Sun Wukong & its not just the Saiyans? You probably wont hear it from them or others popular in the DB community because Krillin isnt a Saiyan & the fandom has unreasonable hatred for him. Talking about him wouldn't be profitable. There's a reason most of their videos are about Saiyans. There aren't many popular DB YouTubers who are Earthling fans and who talk about Earthlings. DotoDoya is the only popular one I know that is a Krillin fan. The fandom rarely supports non-Saiyan fans & DB influencers rarely support Earthling fans. Instead they usually talk bad about them and insult the characters and/or fans of the characters.

I don't look to many DB YouTubers or influencers for accuracy. Yes, they are right at times, but not always. And if they dont have incentive to give correct info, they wont. Geekdom gives accurate info on a lot of Saiyan stuff, but his info about canon or Earthlings is often innacurate. Like how he downplays feats or goes along with lies about Yamcha because he has a lot of Vegeta fans who watch him & many of them want to hear the lies.

Now if you or anyone else want to see it as canon to the main continuity? I'm not gonna stop you. I only present the facts and evidence of the series. If something doesnt fit within the main continuity, then it fits within a different continuity. But there is so much misinformation and confusion about canon & ppl don't use the term "continuity" often, ppl will constantly be confused. Especially since the DB influencers get the canon stuff wrong or make it confusing. And they dont distinguish between canon & continuity either.

Not saying I know everything, but I try my best to examine the series to understand its continuity & I encourage ppl to fact check me. That helps keep me honest and accurate. But I fact check myself & make corrections when I find out I was wrong about something or I'm informed by other ppl.

I dont like to lie, because keeping up with lies is too much work for me. I like to get the truth and facts. And if I find out I'm wrong about something, then that means I'm just closer to the truth & can make necessary corrections. Being right means you have to be corrected at times.

DBZ Wrath of the Dragon Reaction

I had never seen Wrath of the Dragon.

For the longest time, I knew this one only by the Japanese name, “Exploding Dragon Fist.” Japan has a tendency to give away spoilers right in the title. I imagine they changed it because it sounds like the name of a porno. “Wrath of the Dragon,” meanwhile, kinda sounds like a generic action film name (like naming everything “Evolution,”) but thinking of it like the tail end of DBZ, then “Wrath of the Dragon” is a fitting name.

Honestly, Movie 13, is definitely one of the best DBZ movies. I love it. We start with Saiyaman 1&2 (and boy do the movies love to use them [it’s even in Battle of Gods]), and this is one of the few times, the initial plot lands squarely into Gohan’s lap. The red guy, Hoi, specifically seeks him out to use the Dragonballs to open up the music box. Oddly enough, once Tapion is free, Gohan shuffles into the background. Then we get some nice character building for Trunks, where he latches on to Tapion, as an older brother figure. Bulma tries to help by building a pod for Tapion to sleep in (is this the first time she does something in a movie?) There’s the final battle, including the brief moment when Tapion asks Trunks to kill him. That is such a nice touch. Finally, there’s the last tousle, where Goku pulls out all the stops and Superman’s the thing.

It’s really awesome. Everybody gets to do something. This is one of the few times they actually fight in a city. The only glaring flaw I noticed was it seemed like they were completely oblivious to all the destruction the monster was doing, especially during the first half of the movie. Only Gohan and Videl would show up, and then when it was destroying the Western Capital, they didn’t notice until it had crashed into their wall. But, really, it’s just one drawback from a fantastic plot.

Finally, crazy theory… Maybe Tapion (and his brother) are Kais. Sure, you see similar people in their home planet “Konats,” but you could chalk that up to an animation error... maybe those extras should have been drawn in shadows, because they got to great length to show Tapion and his brother as separate from the rest.

Also, what’s the deal with the sword? This is supposed to be Future Trunks sword, but… how does Future Trunks get the sword? Three things… 1. “Future Gohan” found either Hoi, or Tapion. If he found Hoi, then “Future Trunks” Sword might actually be from Tapion’s little bother, Minotia, who also had a similar sword (and Hoi just had that sword and never used it). Or, “Future Gohan” freed Tapion, and did follow up on killing Tapion to prevent Hildegarn from being freed (their timeline had enough problems without a Majin Buu level threat). 2. At some point, Future Trunks actually travels back in time 1000 years to give his sword to Tapion, who gives it to little Trunks. 3. It doesn’t matter how Future Trunks gets it, because this is little Trunks receiving it, and we’re going to be watching him going forward.

9/10 Getting more time with the characters and seeing how they react to new situations exemplifies why shonen movies still have a place in Fandom.

After watching some DBZ BT3 CPU battles...

I figured I'd post the pre/post-battle dialogue I liked and/or found interesting (a lot of paraphrasing involved):

Captain Ginyu vs Great Saiyaman: Ginyu: "A new recruit! You'll be the 6th member of my squad." Saiyaman: "Sorry, I don't mingle well with evildoers."

Dabura vs Devilman is kind of amusing. Dabura: "I'm Dabura, ruler of the Demon Realm!" Devilman: "I'll rule the Demon Realm in your place!" And if Dabura wins he says that he's the king.

Majuub vs Hercule is a lot like their GT Tournament fight, with Majuub planning not to hold back while Hercule's worried. If Majuub wins he's over the moon at being able to beat the World Champ - somehow not noticing how Hercule's a regular human.

Lord Slug and Demon King Piccolo talk about how they're not going to hold back despite their opponent being a Namekian. I thought there might have been something about how they both wished to be in their prime but it wasn't to be.

Future Trunks and Tapion talk like they've met before, and then I remembered that somewhere it was stated (non-canonically) that Future Trunks got his sword from Tapion.

By far the most interesting one to me is GT Goku vs (kid) Chi-Chi. Goku is surprised that Chi-Chi has been turned into a kid as well and Chi-Chi calls Goku a troublemaker for causing it. The winner talks about how it's like the old days when they used to be kids. Basically, they've made this matchup a what-if situation where adult Chi-Chi was turned into a child too, which I think is really cool and definitely unexpected. I wonder if there's any other matchups like this.
