Yesterday's bake day included a couple orders for Clover & Crisp Apple Tea Biscuits, and we couldn't be happier about it 🥄🤍
(especially Basil, who's made it very clear that these are his favourite 🐇)

Buttermilk tea biscuits!
I followed a Serious Eats recipe, and they're pretty good, although a bit saltier than preferred and thinner than I'd like (even with rolling the dough thicker than advised). (Wonky ones were the dough scraps and got eaten as a taste tester because the rest are for a bday party.)

[ID: two photos of homemade buttermilk tea biscuits. The first shows the batch on a cooling rack, and the second shows a biscuit cut open and spread with butter and honey. End ID.]
Next up: cheddar and chives biscuits, using a different recipe!

Tea Biscuits: A thread
When I was really young, I went to someone else's house to be babysat. There were other kids there, but it was so long ago that I don't remember anyone's names or faces. I do remember, however, these delicious tea biscuits that tasted amazing. I managed to have them again years later and now I can eat them whenever, so thankfully they're not lost media. But this stuff
Tumblr media
Is so good. I don't even like tea, but looking at these fills me with nostalgia. I love eating them because they taste so good. I love them and they are just really good and I just want to tell people about them. They are so good.
