So... what about Isaac?

Isaac Lahey - One of my top 5 favorites in Teen Wolf. When he first appeared in season 2 and with the traumatic past he suffered under his diabolical father, I felt the utmost sympathy and empathy for him. Losing his mother, and then his older brother Camden, to have an abusive and narcissistic father beat and lock him up in a box down in the basement against his will just made me want to be there for him and help him.

Isaac definitely intrigues me alot because despite being turned into a werewolf and going from Derek’s first beta to becoming Scott’s beta and one of his closest friends demonstrates how he builds his relationships. It's when Scott in season 2 states that he doesn't want him to get hurt is when Isaac's mind and soul started to heal and open up. Even more so when he helped Scott with a terminally ill dog by healing the canine with his healing factor, and Isaac began opening up more and more. How he combines his werewolf status mixed with his sarcastic and salty attitude (funny moments by the way) with his sensitive and heartwarming compassion that he wants to be friends with Scott (maybe even love him), he wants to be friends with Stiles (despite their sarcastic witty battles), he wants to be friends with Allison (and love her despite the tragedy that calls forth her fate) and the rest of the pack is because he wanted to help and care for others because he lost that experience while growing up, and he wants to gain that but also give it to others because he is a person.

Isaac is often cynical and cautious to newer people but once you've been within his circle many times he opens up because now you are apart of his life. I have watched him grow from being a hurt and abused child to a renegade, cynical and strong beta under Derek to being a witty, sarcastic but compassionate and good natured person within seasons 2, 3A and 3B.

If he had stood in for seasons 4 and 5 he could have been a valued friend and mentor for Liam alongside Scott. Isaac, being Scott’s longest beta not bitten by him would have helped Liam grow while being like a older sibling to him and still lived between his foster mother Melissa and traveling between the McCall residence and Argent residence to navigate between feeling loved and cared for while being a strong werewolf and person. Season 5 would have definitely been a strong point for Isaac since he may have looked at Theo's manipulations from the start (no offense to Theo lol) unless the death of Allison was used against him and he would have met Malia, Mason, Brett, Lori, Satomi, and the others who would have fostered more relations with.

Yes Isaac is an amazing person that I admire

So we've got sparky and the boy with all the anxiety. I think this is going to be one of those Nolan might be pent up because of something Gabe said and Josh helps him out. He gently dicks him down so that he can feel good. Maybe he'll go hard on him but that remains to be seen. Either way Nolan will be happy sitting in Josh's lap.

taking a bath w stiles … [inspired by this] references to sex but nothing but fluff !!

it’s nothing short of innocent and domestic: a bath ran with the bubbles and oil you’d been saving for a special occasion. the night wasn’t necessarily a special occasion, but the way stiles had fucked you was definitely special. almost all of your long standing fantasies fulfilled, bringing you to your peak over and over again, to the point where your body had absolutely no interest in taking you to the bathroom.

you’d quickly gained interest, though, whenever you smelled the fresh scent, one of your favorite aromas wafting through the open bathroom door and straight to your nose.

stiles had coaxed you into the bathtub, a promise of letting you be the big spoon working to convince you to take the shirt you had just put on off, and climb in before him.

you end up with stiles sat between your legs, both of you submerged in bubbly-oily water as stiles takes one of your hands in his and kisses along your knuckles. he tells you about his day, toying with your fingers, absent of any rings for once. you listen thoughtfully, the warmth from the water and your favorite boy almost coaxing you into a slumber.

that is, until stiles prompts you with a question.

“are you even listening to me?” the question was simple, but you jumped in your spot against the porcelain, eyes snapping open as you stared into stiles’ amber ones that displayed nothing but amusement.

“what? oh, yeah. definitely …” your statement is loose, clearly a lie, and stiles chuckles softly.

he presses his lips to yours, a soft chaste kiss that makes you smile, dazed and hazy.

“‘s okay,” he tells you, giving you two more chaste kisses before he settles in for a longer one.

your lips move in tandem, a perfectly rehearsed dance from constant practices. just like always, your hand finds his hair, soapy fingers tangling in the waves at the back of his head. stiles sighs, the tip of his pretty nose pressing into your cheek as he slowly raises one of his hands to cup your cheek.

when he pulls away, he kisses your other cheek, unable to keep his lips off of you for long enough to speak. somehow, he manages it.

“d’you think we could fuck in here?”

you laugh, unable to help it, your head thudding back against the tub. “you’re depraved,” you tell him, meaning it while also being too lovesick to notice what you’re saying.

he brings your head back level with his, the grip he has on your cheek maneuvering you as he wishes.

he leans in, lips move against yours when he speaks. “still not answering my question.”

it is kind of sad though because even in the actual comics they don't really show dick as a great leader (thinking about ntt rn but there are others), they just dumb everyone else down. like there are so many different things you could pull on to make him the great leader he's supposed to be but they are rarely willing to put in the effort of thinking about why this guy is leading among so many people who are incredibly powerful and able to avoid a lot of the physical limitations he has

honestly like…. such a good point. i try really hard to write smart characters in my fic (even if they make silly choices) because it’s so crucial to how the bats operate and tbh dick should be on a whole other level of people managing. i think my fave examples of some of his leadership are from titans99 or outsiders2003 because they portray thee most interesting parts of how he communicates with others — the fact that he’ll make shitty choices that people disagree with and that the people he’s leading will disagree with him but still trust him anyway. that’s partially why i love the fab5 so much, cause when they’re written well they absolutely will call him out on his horseshit. but there’s still that absolute trust in his capabilities as a tactician.

like dick as a leader makes a lot of sense on paper — he has one of the longest tenures in the community, he housetrained the biggest bitch on the league, he’s rigorously moral, and he has broad emotional intelligence (even if he frequently uses it for evil). it makes sense that people, especially those with powers, would want to trust someone else to handle the logistics of working in a team with others with the same capacity for destruction. his specific skillset of thinking on his feet while calculating ten steps ahead makes him more popular than bruce and more outwardly confident than tim.

the downside to this tho is like u said — it relies on the other members of the group being written well. roy harper would not bend to dicks will just cause he said so. kory can and will kill against dicks orders. wally forces him into the leadership role to stop him from becoming like bruce. and if ur a writer who doesn’t give a shit he’s an easy character to just insist is smart and talented and trusted “just cause ❤️” rather than proving any of it in the text

Theo Raeken - To be very honest, in the last two seasons he often made me observant of his nature. Mysterious and alluring at first, then eerie and malevolent when it came to his machinations with those around him (his "'adoptive parents"), Scott, Stiles, Lydia and the rest of the pack. As one of my favorite characters, he uses alot of emotional and psychological intelligence to his advantage and as the only successful chimera to survive the experiments (not including him reviving Hayden, Corey, Josh and Tracy to complete their transformation) Theo has alot of endurance and durability, as well as being a master manipulator.

While he did do harsh and vile acts, these were the circumstances done to him through intense brainwashing and indoctrination by the Dread Doctors, with their sole purpose to create an artificial supernatural that could match the power of the Beast of Gevaudan by being a host to the legendary being. He was 9 years old when his sister was murdered, or was led to believe by the Dread Doctors that his sister was a hindrance to his potential and she had to be neutralized. It is a state of psychological torment where he killed his sister or the Dread Doctors had murdered her but was brainwashed to believe Tara was his misfortune. Yes Theo was evil, but the lack of having real emotions or connections with other humans or supernaturals (excluding the Dread Doctors) was what caused him to carry out his plans to break apart the McCall pack in "promises" by the Dread Doctors to become an Alpha and have his own pack, up until he felt pure rage when he was lied to and slain the pathological scientists for their false words and decided to become power hungry himself.

Instead, he was give a second chance by Liam who believed in him despite the lack of trust and since Liam followed in Scott’s footsteps to give people second chances, Theo became a better person little by little and gained character development throughout the last season. This made me watch him more and observe and how Theo's charming but snarky ways are entertaining within both seasons, plus his sexual tension arguments with Liam and fights give him more depth about his character and how he can be a lighthearted and brave person. At the same time being helpful and resourceful when he wants to be (although with Liam he is helping him regardless) and he can be empathetic when certain situations he experienced before happens in front of him like seeing Gabe in excruciating pain from his fatal wounds, so Theo takes his pain away since he is fully aware of what that feels like and did it out of mercy.

Theo is such an intriguing character and while he would still be the edgy, snarky, charming and chaotic chimera in the series, it the traits that make him such a exceptional character shine in the series and going from a master manipulating villain to a resourceful ally of the pack.

How I feel about this character:

It’s weird that I actually see her as a character? Like I remember someone asking me about Mason and I said that I didn’t really have thoughts about him because I didn’t see him as a character as more as Jeff filling the places that Boyd and Danny left in one character. We don’t know her last name or her family or if she has friends. We just know that she’s a former u.s. marshall turned mercenary that saved Isaac one time and yet she’s a fave?

Just Derek.

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character:

I found her and Scott to be interesting. She just casually admits that she’d kill him then a few scenes later she’s telling him to get behind her. Then the next season he’s worth twenty five million and she is nowhere to be found. I really thought she was going to end up being the benefactor because of Jeff’s thing for having Derek be with antagonists and I was so happy when she wasn’t but really where was she? Twenty five million?! And then when she shows up again she’s ready to throttle Theo because he k*lled Scott I—

My unpopular opinion about this character:

I’m happy with the screen time she got. I wanted to see more of her or at least get a last name but I think if she were to be a main character Jeff would destroy her.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

A last name.

I head canon her as best friends with Morrell.
