the lore being locked away is so bizarre on its own, but that you're supposed to make your own character and aren't allowed to know additional context for the world they live in. i know you said its not dev time but i can't imagine the wait with nothing to talk about helped.

yeah, i dont remember her exact words but it was something along the lines of 'you don't need to know the lore to enjoy the game' which, i guess, but the only reason i stuck around as long as i did was b/c i had access to all that shit.

the best way to make ppl care about and get invested in your world and character is to provide context.
