I just got to 2x15 and I used to be an ardent defender of The Betrayal™️ like “well DUH it was OBVIOUSLY the right decision to make, Clarke would’ve done the same thing!” which yeah I still kinda stand by canon-wise but like… writing-wise is it just me or is the whole thing kind of dumb 😭 Like they were already winning??? There was no point in not just killing Emerson and Cage and all the others and freeing the Sky People and civilians??? The Sky People have made powerful allies, can cure Reapers, and are the only reason they’ve made it this far and she just leaves them to die??? I don’t know, unless Lexa was like, really fuckin sure that Clarke could handle things just fine on her own, it doesn’t make any kind of logical sense to me if I really think about it for more than a few seconds.
It feels kind of out of character for Lexa too, like the Grounders inside Mount Weather are an army waiting to be set free to defeat the Mountain Men, are likely willing to die for the cause and the greater good (which Lexa literally said in the previous episode that you should be able to tell your people to die for you!) — like, bad thing: many of the Grounders inside the Mountain die fighting. But good thing: the Mountain Men are defeated and in the long run the Grounder suffering under their oppression which has lasted 97 years finally ends. It seems like a worthy sacrifice to me and I just think it’s an odd, contradictory heel-turn for Lexa to suddenly make.
I don’t know am I making any sense here or am I literally the only one overthinking this 😂
Oh bby I have talked about this before
And I'll do it again 🥴
No it really did make no sense beyond juat setting up the adversarial plotline between Clarke and Lexa and furthering the dynamics between Skaikru and the clans.
Realistically, logically, strategically - it made no sense. None. Cuz, even beyond just what you're saying, Lexa taking the deal in turn means the MM keep the skairats. Whom they were harvesting bone marrow from. Which allowed them to walk freely outside.
Considering???? That they had every intention of wiping out the Grounders, whyyyy in god's fucking name would Lexa "I got a phat ass and love stinky blonde bitches" Kom Trikru willingly provide the very key that would allow them easier ability in the future to annihilate her people??
It's? Illogical? And fucking nonsense?
But I'm supposed to believe that she made that choice? I'm supposed to believe that someone who won her conclave at the age of like 11-12, who beat and bartered 12 warring clans into submission, who found her lover's severed head in her bed and then still accepted the murderer into her alliance for the best of her people... I'm supposed to believe she would take such a short-sighted, lopsided deal? Really? Really?
I mean when you look at it from just a narrative perspective, yes of course it makes sense. Sacrifices have to be made yada yada, my people or yours blah blah blah, she loves her but had to choose her people bing bong balsjdjslk. I get it, I do, and it was a very compelling moment to watch. Truly, I love that episode, it was devastating and shocking and they acted it so gd well it still holds up. Like every rewatch makes my lil gay heart clench, and I'm not kidding. But take even one step back and look at the entire picture of the situation and actually who Lexa is as a person and leader, and the whole fucking plot just falls apart

STACKED100 - FEBRUARY POST
what is stacked100?
It’s something I thought up, inspired in part by “stackednatural”, but mostly by myself doing this with The Vampire Diaries this last year (see my #stackediaries tag). The gist of it is that you watch each episode of the show on the anniversary of their airing date. It “officially” started in October (with only two episodes) and it would end in September 2024. You can see the full schedule here.
what are we supposed to do with this
Whatever the hell you want lmao. Tag whatever post you make #stacked100 and go for it! Gifsets, live blogging, discussions… engage with other people as much or as little as you want. Watch some episodes and not others, for any reason. I’m doing this to have some fun with this VERY polarizing show, seeing how my perspective might be changed with hindsight + this specific way of watching it, and a bit because I miss my little corner of this messy as fuck fandom. But this is something you can do in whichever manner works for you, mate.
episodes to watch this month
I'm putting these after a read more, because now we're really in it.

Season 2 was both the best and worst season. It’s the season where we see all the characters come into their own, but it’s also the season that sets up the downfall of the show. It’s the Jahaerys Targaryen of The 100 seasons - Good on its own, but bad for the rest. As with the first season: there’s a very obvious graveyard of plot lines(Clarke being groomed as Lexa’s heir one of the most obvious). But Jason’s biggest mistake was what he did at the end. Lexa’s betrayal makes no sense politically or culturally. Grounder culture would’ve seen it as honorable for their ppl to die fighting an enemy that had terrorized them for so long. They also would’ve considered Lexa’s betrayal of Skaikru to be dishonorable. Especially after Ton DC, where members of Skaikru had fought and died beside the Grounders. When people like Octavia, Clarke, and Abby(as a healer) had earned the Grounder’s respect. The whole first half of the season was establishing how Skaikru and The Grounders had more in common than they realized. That while Skaikru might idolize past human life - which the mountain men imitated - they were in reality more like The Grounders. Skaikru may not have been raised as “warriors” from birth, but they were raised as survivors. They were used to going days without food and water, rationing, clothing that had been mended over a hundred times, people being killed for stealing food or the “crime” of having a second child.
The first half of season 2 showed Skaikru what they thought they wanted vs. who they really were. And after they thought about it, they found themselves identifying more with the Grounders than with the Mountain Men. Lexa committed political and social suicide at the mountain. And considering how politically savvy she was shown to be in the first half of the season, that switch made no sense. One might argue she did it to try and let go of her love for Clarke which she considered “weak”….but the previous 2 episodes were literally meant to show Lexa that love wasn’t weakness. Then they Mary Sue’d Clarke. Clarke could’ve already had the Wanheda title from what she did at the Drop ship, she didn’t need to be the one to do that at Mt. Weather. The logistics of the entirety of the Mt. Weather plot we will not be discussing. I’ve already talked about how the whole thing doesn’t make sense many times. Anyways, they should’ve let Jasper kill Cage. That would’ve been great growth for his character. Or even having Bellamy irradiate Mt. Weather to put him at an equal level to Clarke could’ve been good. Clarke and Octavia are my faves but they put so much into them that they robbed nearly every other character of growth. Raven and Sinclair’s father-daughter relationship should’ve been explored way more. As soon as they got close they killed him off. Jason kept on doing that. Killing off too many characters is as bad as killing off too little. The issue is that the odds were always in the realm of sci-fi realistic UNTIL it came to The 100. Any time they would’ve benefited, some unrealistic obstacle shows up and it’s just ridiculous.
The other issue with Season 2 is that Jason seemed to have written himself into a corner. This is why they had to go the Allie route and eventually Praimfaya and all that other stuff. Now I liked Allie and The Primes, but I really don’t think leaving the Earth was a good idea. Something vital to the spirit of the show was lost when they did that. Transcendence was horrible too. It wasn’t really any different than the City of Light, and I feel like it undermined the whole point of the show - there are no Good or Bad guys, just survival. Praimfaya really didn’t make any sense. I’m not extremely well read on the physics of nuclear reactors breaking down, but I’m pretty sure those would’ve exploded when the bombs went off too. Jason didn’t have a real villain after the Mountain Men were killed. He could’ve did something more with the 12 clans, but he killed Lexa off and he didn’t let Luna or Clarke become commander. That would’ve been interesting - maybe the lack of Nightbloods, Clarke’s closeness to Lexa, and her being Wanheda, would’ve allowed them to accept Clarke being an artificial nightblood. Her and Luna competing for the Throne of The Commanders could’ve been really fun and interesting. The Coalition breaking, and Skaikru having to carve a real name and identity out for themselves could’ve been cool too. Unknown Clans from the West or Overseas, Flamekeepers attempting to take over, a conglomerate of Mountain Men, the Primes being a mistake Becca made and trapped in Bunkers on the Earth, idk - there were so many different ways he could’ve taken it. And the biggest crime of the show was the lack of payoff: No Bellarke, no meeting loved ones again, no real closure.

imagine if instead of praimfaya, the 100 s4 picked up from azgeda taking control of polis and the 12 clans. they declare war on skaikru and all the clans that resist them and let’s say they take clarke as a prisioner of war because she’s wanheda so people will follow her.
and roan is injured so azgeda is being led by a “villain” character, maybe echo, another prince, or have ontari survive (???) and he has to be smuggled out of the city for his safety.
but it’s just expanding on grounder culture and history and all the clans and how an actuall, full-blown war changes and shapes the characters.

So you're mildly interested in The 100 but it's garbage and you just want the goods of fanfic?
said no one ever. but here we go
Cheater article
1900s : Mount Weather Emergency Operations center is constructed in the Blue Ridge Mountains in the United States as a military bunker.
2051 : Scientist Dr. Becca Franco, created an AI A.L.I.E. (Applied Lucent Intelligence Emulator), but turns out the AI is a eugenicist and subscribes to the thought of overpopulation, and that the greatest threats to humans (the mystery she was created to solve) is humans. Franco shuts that shit down. She retreats to her personal space station, Polaris, to continue studying, where she created a new A.I. dubbed A.L.I.E. 2 (and only compatible with a special blood compound she also created, called nightblood)
2052 : A.L.I.E. launches a worldwide nuclear strike to “save the human race” due to its calculation that there were “too many people.” She set out to solve the world’s overpopulation problem by eliminating enough of the human race to save the rest.
2054 : October 1st, the first Unity Day. 13 separate space stations from 12 separate nations (plus Franco’s) are trying to ride out the apocalypse that’s happening on the surface. The 12 stations are way too sus about Franco and how she made ALIE and Alpha Station shoots Polaris down. With her fall, the remaining 12 join as one and create The Ark - the supposed last bastion of human survivors.
PYSCH. Franco didn’t die with the rest of her station, she jettisoned in a little pod, shot up with Nightblood and having shoved ALIE 2.0 into the back of her neck at her brain stem (ALIE 2 being an implanted AI to better understand human emotions, unlike its predecessor who was a stand alone AI). She crashes to earth with the rest of the superhuman blood- i mean, nightblood, and tries to help the ppl who survived on the surface (everyone in space thought everyone else died). Her story becomes the legend of the First Commander and her technology becomes the foundation of the Grounder society, with the Nighblood passing through Grounders. A.L.I.E. 2.0 becomes "The Flame," a chip passed down and implanted through the generations of Grounder leaders called Commanders, which contains the memories of all Commanders before them.
2100-2149 : On the Ark, Abigail Griffin, Marcus Kane, Thelonius Jaha, Charles Pike are born and live in humanity's post-apocalyptic society in space.
The generation below them also grows up on the Ark, including Clarke Griffin, Bellamy and Octavia Blake, Monty Green, Raven Reyes, John Murphy, Jasper Jordan, Harper McIntyre, Finn Collins, Nathan Miller, and Wells Jaha, all of whom will make their way to Earth at the start of the series with the Delinquents.
On Earth, the Grounders become the descendants of Earth's human survivors, developing new languages, faith, and customs foreign to the pre-apocalypse world. 12 Grounder Clans emerge, as well as societies of nomadic grounders.
OK done with the condensed and relevant version of that article, now to the important plot.
Clarke is MC
Mom: Abby, head of medical clinic
Dad: Jake, head of engineering or smn
Chancellor: Thelonius Jaha
Wells: Chancellor’s son, clarke’s bff
Because they’re all part of the Elite Alpha Station, they don’t get a lot of acceptance from the others that are essentially considered lower class by default, so they tend to band together very clichishly
There are limited resources on the Ark, obvs, so shit like one kid only rule, food rations, recycling of  goods (like clothes), etc. That also means that all “crimes” are super detrimental and get you floated… into space. Death penalty style. Unless you’re a minor, then you get incarcerated until you’re 18 when you go through a revision and maybe you’re let back into populace or maybe they float you anyway
So
Jake finds out the Ark’s oxygen scrubbing system is in catastrophic failure. Like not just a little glitch but full failing. And there’s nowhere to run in space, so he tells Abby and suggests they tell everyone so everyone can be in on the decision of what to do moving forward. Abby is hesitant, and they bring it up to Jaha (Thelonius is Jaha, Wells is Wells) who immediately shoots it down - mass panic and all that. Jake still presses that they should Let The People Know and while that who whatever is going down, Clarke hears her dad talking about it. She stresses over it, confides in Wells about it, and then her father is floated for treason (recording a video he intended to release to the public about the failure). She is 17 and so they toss her in the Skybox (juvy) but gen pop gets visitation with the outside, so they put her in solitary for the rest of her sentence so she can’t blab.
Just before her 18th (revision hearing anticipated), guards bust in and haul her out. She flips, thinking they’re floating her early, probably starting in the Skybox to save on oxygen. But no, she sees her mom for a sec and she explains they’re sending down the kids in a dropship to test if earth is safe. It’s not projected to be for another few generations, but clarke knows there’s a time crunch. she knows the real why. They zap her and she wakes up on the dropship, descent already starting, and there’s… Wells? Goody Two Shoes Chancellor’s Son? the only other person she told about her dad. wtf yanno. He confesses to her he got arrested to get sent down on the Dropship with her. ok but didn’t you sell out her dad? Question Mark?
They have monitoring cuffs to relay their vitals to the Ark to see just how toxic earth is now. There’s supposed to be a radio but it gets fried in the rough landing. They go out and WOW EARTH! But they were supposed to be dropped on Mount Weather, uninhabited maybe, but should still be stocked with pre-war goodies. they’re also horny, stupid, delinquent teens so they just start dicking around and taking off their wristbands (fuck the Ark, they don’t get to know about us, they sent us on a suicide mission) and clarke is like. Hello? The Ark is dying. Pissbaby (Bellamy Blake) is like so what. Whatever the hell we want. And clarke is like uhhhhh do you know farming like the aptly named Farm Station? Do you know medicine? Tell me what you do know. Oh right, you were training to be a guard to keep your sister (a second child *gasp*) safe, you both got caught, she was iced, you got demoted to a janitor, and then the head of the guards was like “shoot jaha and i’ll get you on that dropship” and so you did. What a Big Bad Boy. boring. But he knows how to appeal to the rest of the delinquents, and so he’s effective.
So they try to actually survive (food, water, shelter, under clarke’s direction mostly) because maybe they don’t hate everyone on the Ark. clarke gets some of them to head out towards mount weather, just to see what they could benefit from. but on their way there, one of them gets speared. Holy shit there are people living on the ground! And then the rest of them get their ass in gear and try to actually survive. people start dying, surprise surprise, they get panicked by the threat of people already established on the land they were told was their birthright and by the fact that they’re woefully underprepared. also Super Charming Space Walker Finn is hitting on clarke and she’s kinda into it because wow. hormones. there’s also this acid fog that rolls through sometimes and boils the skin off their bones.
One time, she’s running from it with Finn and Wells and they find an old, mostly buried car to hide out in.
Canonically, she hops in with them to flirt and brood and drink.
Canonically, she goes with them back to the rest of the delinquents and the Dropship.
Canonically, she is Skaikru (the Grounder word for People Of The Sky) and is treated as such.
But also like. Canon is garbage anyway
And instead, we were gifted with KL Morgan
And KL Morgan gifted us with Destruction
And then for more canonical aus, we have KL Morgan (again ofc) with The Lay of the Looking Glass Land - it does take up further into canon so this blurb wouldn't be sufficient

Fire And Forget - THE 100 REWRITE Chapter Eighteen
[THE 100 MASTERLIST]
Previous Chapter / Next Chapter
Summary: Despite Lexa’s influence on Clarke’s behavior, Michelle returned alongside her childhood best friend. The princess and the soldier dynamic could resume but there was still things Clarke was keeping from everyone else and hopefully it wouldn’t shatter the trust Michelle had in her.
Words: 6.1k
Warnings: The 100 season 2 spoilers (episode 12 “Rubicon”, episode 13 “Resurrection” & episode 16 “Blood Must Have Blood - Part 2”), missile, explosion, fire, wounds, blood, pain, drill, restrains, a bit of fluff
Michelle was by Clarke as they stepped in the room, arms crossed. She was still thinking about their sort of power grab last night. They made it clear to Abby that she might have been named Chancellor, but it didn’t mean anything to them. Clarke was no longer answerable to her, and the Grounders chose who they supported. The fact that Kane then chose to convince Abby to trust Clarke had surprised Michelle, but she greatly appreciated it. When the worst of this conflict would be over, she could perhaps finally decide to take a step towards him. Raven was standing in front of a transparent board with a plan of the facility inside Mount Weather, every floor was drawn. They had yet to hear from their inside man which was the reason behind Clarke and Michelle’s visit.
“Has he checked in yet?” Clarke asked as soon as she walked through the door. Raven replied in the negative and looked over her shoulder at the Grounder behind Clarke.
“Worried someone’s gonna take a shot at you inside the Ark?” She turned her back to them and Clarke dismissed the rider. He solemnly nodded and walked out.
“Lexa’s orders.” She precised but Raven couldn’t care less and she just shrugged as she looked at the board. Michelle and Clarke glanced at each other, and their eyes turned to the radio. “He’s late. What if something’s happened to him?”
“He’ll be fine.” Raven retorted. Clarke nodded, trying to calm herself down and looked around the room, seeing a plan on the table and another board full of writings and drawings.
“You’ve been busy. Why are you focusing on the dam?” Michelle spoke as she and Clarke approached, curious. Clarke turned to Raven.
“I told you acid fog was our priority?”
“Until Bellamy gets eyes on their dispersal system… there’s only so much I can do.”
“Fine. Tell me about the dam.” Clarke requested. “Can we cut off their power?”
“Maybe. I’m still playing with a few things.” She explained while Clarke walked around. The latter grabbed the device to control the Reapers and activated it, instantly getting Raven and Michelle’s attention to her.
“How many of these have you made?”
“Only two so far, but—”
“Two? That’s not enough.” Clarke cut her off, putting down the device with a thump. She didn’t like her lack of effiency on this. Michelle stood by, not wanting to take a step into this argument; she was only by Clarke’s side as her friend and advisor, like when they were at the small camp, they had built around the drop ship. She wasn’t a leader and she didn’t want all these responsibilities to weight on her shoulders so she was fine with her position. “There’ll be Reapers everywhere.”
“High-frequency tone generators don’t grow on trees, Clarke.” Raven stepped toward her. “Wick is scrounging for parts.”
“Raven… I am about to leave for Tondc, where Lexa and the heads of all 12 grounder clans are waiting for me to tell them we’re a go.” She replied anxiously. “Only we’re not a go because they still have acid fog and we only have two tone generators.”
“Hey, we’ll be ready. We will.” Raven softened her voice and tried to reassure Clarke about all this. Michelle didn’t like Raven very much because of everything that happened with Finn but she had come to the conclusion that she wasn’t a bad person, or someone deserving of her hate either. She took a step to get closer to them and put a hand on her best friend’s shoulder. All three of them looked at each other, silently assuring themselves that they would indeed be ready in time and after a second of silence, they heard Bellamy’s voice come from the radio. They quickly walked to the radio and Clarke grabbed the transmitter to talk to him.
“Bellamy, you’re late. Every three hours means every three hours.” Clarke stated.
“Are you through?” He ignored her comments.
“Have you found the source of the acid fog?”
“No, that’s gonna have to wait.”
“What? No.” She exclaimed. “Nothing is more important than that.”
“Our friends are.” He retorted. “They’ve started taking them from the dorm… one at a time, every few hours.”
“Taking them where?” Raven bent over, approaching her face to the transmitter.
“I don’t know. We tried to follow them, but they went to a classified level.” She looked at her plan of Mount Weather drawn on the board right behind her. “Maya borrowed the schematics of the vent system from her boss… and we’re still trying to find a way in. Anything?”  Maya’s voice could be heard in the background but she spoke to Bellamy in such a low tone they couldn’t make out the words but they understood Raven had asked for a walkie talkie. It didn’t matter anyway. Raven, Clarke and Michelle all stood in front of the board, staring at it carefully.
“We’re going to make him mobile so he can talk to us from anywhere.” Clarke nodded before addressing Bellamy again.
“Bellamy, you have to find them.”
“That’s the plan.”
“If you don’t, all of this is for nothing.” She put back the transmitter and turned around, at the surprise of both Raven and Michelle, who thought Tondc was her next destination. She passed the doorway and Michelle let her arms fall to her side, glancing at Raven before quickly following Clarke outside, wondering where she was off to instead of the Grounders’ village. She caught up to her in the hallway and put her hand on her shoulder.
“Where are you going?”
“To see my mom, and Kane.” She declared and Michelle simply nodded, joining her hands in her back and walking beside her, the Grounder in charge of protecting Clarke right after them. The automatic doors to the meeting room opened at their arrival and Clarke didn’t waste any time, addressing them right away. “Plans have changed. I’m staying here.”
“Command is expecting you.” Kane said, rolling up a paper.
“Our people inside Mount Weather are in trouble. I’m not going anywhere till I know they’re okay.”
“And what can you do for them from here?” He wondered.
“You’ll go to Tondc in my place. Lexa respects you. You and Michelle.” At the mention of her name, Michelle didn’t try to hide her surprise, letting go of her hands. She wondered if sending her with her father to Tondc was because she trusted them to do this for her, and also to give an opportunity to do something this important together, to bond or something. Maybe she was thinking too much, and Clarke didn’t have that many reasons behind her new decision. She was about to leave the room and walk away but Kane grabbed her arms. The Grounder instantly pulled out a large knife, reminding Michelle of the Machete that slashed her hand less than a couple months ago. She instinctively peeped at her scar and clenched her fist as she looked up.
“Put it away.” Clarke ordered and the man obliged. She faced Kane.
“Clarke, being a good leader means knowing which battles to fight.”
“And which to delegate, I know. Please. I need you and Michelle to go to Tondc.”
“Fine. I’ll go.” After Kane agreed, Clarke turned to Michelle to know her answer and the latter nodded. She wasn't about to argue on this, and maybe deep down, she wanted this opportunity to do something with her father. She realized because of her pain and anger, she had been harsh with him, too harsh. She took a step towards the doors, which opened as Abby walked in and for a second, Kane and Michelle looked at each other.
“What is it?” Abby asked.
“Kane will explain.” She gave her the cold shoulder, delegating to Kane the explanation of the situation.
“Perhaps your mother should go.” He proposed. “She is still the chancellor, after all.”
“Which is why she’s needed here.” Clarke retorted before leaving the room, followed by the Grounder. Michelle watched her disappear as the doors closed behind her. Abby walked up to them.
“Heavy lies the crown.”
“She shouldn’t be wearing the crown, and you shouldn’t be backing her up.” Michelle sighed and rolled her eyes at her comments. She was allowed to say what she liked but in the meantime, Clarke was the one making decisions and taking actions. Kane swiftly smirked and looked down at a transparent sheet she held in her hands. Michelle followed his gaze.
“What is that?”
“A note.” She handed it to him and, curious, Michelle stepped near him to look at it. “Thelonious is gone. He told Sinclair to wait two days before giving that to us.”
“The city of light.” Kane and Michelle read these words almost simultaneously, glancing at each other. Michelle had kept it to herself that she had seen Jaha leave with Murphy, when she pretended she had spent the whole afternoon with Murphy while he was on work detail. She lied about it to Abby.
“Says he’s coming back to save us. Again.” Kane added.
“He took 12 people, 12 guns. Michelle, Murphy’s gone too.” Kane looked at his daughter. “Exactly two days ago, you told me you were with him all afternoon. He was already gone by then. Did you know about this?”
“No.” She could see Abby doubted the reliability of her word. Michelle sighed again. “I didn’t know about this. And yeah, I wasn’t with Murphy. I heard him and Jaha. He asked him to go to Wells’ grave with him. I figured he had his city of light thing in mind.”
“It’s all right.” Kane said, calming emerging tensions. He put a comforting hand on Michelle’s shoulder as he spoke to Abby. “You can’t go after him. We can’t spare the men.
“Don’t worry. Clarke wouldn’t let me even if I wanted to.” She shot up her eyebrows. Kane handed the note back to her, letting his hand slide off his daughter’s shoulder as he turned to the table. Michelle would have preferred sticking with Clarke, but she had to admit to herself that she was already starting to appreciate being with her father and the fact that he wasn’t getting mad at her, or Clarke, like Abby was definitely helped her accept this new situation.

Not long after Kane and Michelle had arrived there, Clarke joined them. Octavia rushed to meet with Clarke and Michelle followed her, glancing at her father as she walked away. Clarke was getting off her horse as they approached.
“Clarke, you made it.” Octavia said.
“I need you to take me to Lexa.” Her urgency to go see the commander of the Grounders alerted both Octavia and Michelle. The latter frowned as Clarke was stopped in her tracks by Indra’s second.
“What’s wrong?” The answer they got was a mere lie; it was obvious that something was up. Michelle didn’t really understand why she would keep it to herself, but she was clearly not going to tell them what was wrong, so she remained silent, glancing at her in confusion as they walked into the village, leading Clarke to where Lexa was. On the way, Octavia kept asking about Bellamy, wondering if he had managed to get rid of the acid fog but Clarke was being evasive with her answers. Michelle was starting to get a little suspicious of Clarke’s behavior, feeling that something was off, especially with the way she was picking up her walking pace. She wouldn’t tell them what was wrong, but she seemed in quite a hurry. Michelle didn’t need her to say anything about Bellamy, she could tell something had happened on his end, whether it impacted him or them. She was just surprised that Clarke would remain quiet on the matter, whatever it might be, instead of sharing the piece of information that she had. Followed by the Grounder assigned to Clarke’s side, they arrived in front of Lexa. Michelle glanced at the other people around, Indra was next to Octavia and Kane walked up to them from behind Lexa.
“Clarke of the Sky People has honored us with her presence.”
“I’m sorry I’m late, commander.” She apologized quietly.
“You made good time.” Kane spoke. “I assume the kids at Mount Weather are okay.”
“For now.” She nodded, letting out a sigh as she looked back at Lexa. Michelle was observing her friend from the corner of her eyes, knowing she wasn’t telling them everything. She wondered when she would let them in on this. Her next enquiry made Michelle frown slightly. “Can we talk in private?”
“Yes. This way.” Lexa seemed to understand there was some urgent matter to discuss and she led her away, the Grounder following the two of them. Octavia and Michelle watched them walk away, taking a few steps forward, closer to Kane. None of them knew what was going on. Michelle figured it had to be something regarding Bellamy, or his undercover mission inside Mount Weather. Either something bad had happened there, or something bad was yet to happen and she didn’t like the fact that she was so clueless and couldn’t know which of her assumptions were correct. She clenched her jaw, thinking that she should have stayed at Camp Jaha with her and Raven by the radio and she would have known what was up. She didn’t like knowing there was something her best friend was keeping from them, but not having any answers. Indra eventually sent Octavia to watch duty to keep an eye on the edges of the forest. For the next ten minutes or so, Kane and Michelle stood there. While her father talked with other Grounders near them, she stared at the door Clarke and Lexa had entered through. She stayed with her father as night fell and neither Lexa nor Clarke was to be seen anywhere around camp which sent Abby looking for his daughter. Michelle was looking around in confusion and turned around when she heard Indra addressing Kane and her.
“Where’s the commander? Where’s Clarke?” She enquired in a low voice, almost like a whisper.
“I don’t know.” Kane replied, frowning and Michelle simply shrugged, having no idea where either of them could be.
“Last time we saw them, they were heading downstairs.” She added, motioning for the door with her chin.
“They’re not there now.” At Indra’s statement, Kane and Michelle glanced at each other. They were confused already and now, growing worried about them.
“We should search the woods.” Kane declared.
“I agree.”
“I’ll tell the others. Come on.” As he turned around, about to walk away, he nodded at Michelle to follow him, putting a hand on her shoulder. She went with him, clinging on the gun entrusted to her. She was somehow getting more and more convinced that something was going to happen and the disappearance of the commander and Clarke had given her a hint even though she wasn’t sure of anything, and she didn’t like that. Being beside her father helped her keep a cool head. She was getting more accepting of him as her dad and wondered what her mom would think of her right now. Quickly dismissing this thought, she accompanied him, still kind of looking around a bit wary. While he was talking with someone, Michelle squinted her eyes as she noticed a sort of flaming light growing in the sky, as if it was approaching their position. She parted her lips, grabbing her father's arm to draw his attention to what she had seen when an explosion occured and a wave of heat and fire brushed her off. She didn't even have time to realize what was happening and was pushed against her father, tightening her grip of his arm, barely letting out a gasp at the hit. She could feel her gun falling, sliding off her body while everything just went black instantly.
Tumblr media
An excruciating pain shot throughout her whole body as she opened her eyes with difficulty, coughing. Every inspiration felt like breathing fire. Her throat was dry and sore, and she could barely move, softly rolling her head to the side. Michelle moaned in pain. She thought for a second that she was dead as someone called out to her. Her ears were buzzing, and her vision was blurry. She took a breath, and coughed hoarsely, making her wince. Her name was said again, and she realized the buzzing sound was toning down. Michelle blinked, looking to the side. Less than a couple feet away from her was her father. He was trying to pull on a metal bar to alert the surface that they were there.
“Dad…” Her voice was raspy. She reached out her arm to him, to grab his hand but she couldn’t and she grew frustrated, keeping on trying to the point she attempted to get on her side and let out a cry of pain. It took her a second to understand where it was coming from but now, she had regained her senses enough to realize it was her leg and forehead, that were hurting. Her thigh felt warm, which made her wonder if she was bleeding out and she rolled on her back, a tear rolling down her temple. Gulping, she tried to cry for help, but nothing came out of her mouth. With a shaky hand, she touched her head and felt something thick and sticky, as if her hair was covered in gel. She winced, looking at her fingers, covered in blood. She started wondering if she was going to die, closing her eyes when she heard a familiar voice nearby; it was Abby’s.
“Michelle? Marcus?” She got to them, a flashlight in her hand. “I’m here. It’s okay.”
“Abby?” She took his hand from the bar he was pulling on. He slowly extended his fingers towards Michelle, to bring Abby’s attention to her. The latter was looking at the beam across his leg and saw his gesture. He spoke softly. “Help her.”
“Okay.” She nodded, turning to the young woman. The latter called out Abby’s name upon seeing her face in her field of vision. Abby gave her a reassuring smile, telling her it was going to be okay as she took a closer look to the wound to her head. She tore a small piece of fabric from her T-shirt and put it in Michelle’s hand, instructing her to hold it in place. She then moved to her leg. A few rubbles were blocking it. She carefully removed one to see if there was any major injury before pursuing. Michelle had no idea what she saw but she kept taking the rubbles off her leg. She heard Abby grunt as the doctor pushed the debris aside. She felt her hands on her leg and tried to straighten up to see what she was doing but Abby turned to her. “No, no, stay down. Don’t hurt yourself.”
“What is it?” Michelle reluctantly obeyed and lied still, holding the piece of cloth to her head. Her other arm still stretched out towards her father. He tried to get his hand closer to hers and managed to go as far as touching the tip of her fingers.
“You’re gonna be okay. The rubbles scratched your old arrow wound but it’s okay. You’ll be okay.” Michelle then watched her return her attention to Kane’s leg. “You’re bleeding, but not bad. Can you move your toes?”
“Yeah.” He breathed out.
“Good. I don’t think anything’s broken. You’re both lucky.” Kane chuckled, glancing at Michelle. “I’m gonna get you out of here.” She gritted her teeth, grunting as she tried to lift the beam off his leg and eventually let out a yell, unable to move it an inch. Michelle’s torso was heaving with her labored breathing, her eyes closing. She felt like she had barely blinked for a second and Abby called out her name. With the urgency in her voice, she didn’t have to think for long to understand that she had almost lost consciousness again. “Michelle, try keeping your eyes open and firmly press the cloth on your head.” Michelle let out a heavy sigh, nodding.
“That could be Clarke.” Kane supposed upon hearing a woman sob in the distance. Abby blatantly ignored it.
“I’m not leaving you here.” She hissed before trying again to free his leg, grunting loudly. She busied herself with this arduous task, grabbing a large bar and tried to pry the beam up when blood quirted. Kane screamed in pain and Michelle got worried but was too stunned and tired to really react. “Your femoral artery is lacerated. The weight of the beam is the only thing keeping you alive.”
“Heh. Hell of a bandage.” He groaned.
“I’ll figure it out.” She assured.
“Abby. Just… go find your daughter.”
“If I can get a tourniquet around your lef, it buys us more time.” She ignored his second mention of Clarke and it instantly got Michelle wondering if the thing her friend had been keeping from them when she got to Tondc was the explosion that occurred in the village. She couldn’t believe she would leave them all here to die. It had to be Lexa who decided it.
“Go find Clarke.”
“She’s not here.” She declared. Kane looked at her, confused. “She’s… fine. Lexa too.” Michelle felt her eyes closing on their own and the last thing she heard was the sound of rubbles creaking above them, followed by screams. They caved in on them, but she passed out before she could make any sound. When she opened her eyes, hearing muffled voices around her, she groaned. It felt like only a few seconds had passed since she lost consciousness. Her arm was stuck under rubbles, along with both her legs this time and the blood-soaked cloth was still in her hand. She could move her fingers and toes, but all three limbs had gone numb.
“Dad.” Michelle mumbled, still not completely awake.
“I’m right here, Michelle… I’m here…” He replied fatinly, his voice dropping. His eyes closed. Abby gradually rose her voice, trying to get him to wake up but he was too far gone. She crawled out of the large rubbles blocking her and tied a cable she got her hands on around his thighs. Michelle watched her, her eyes half opened, unable to react or really comprehend what was going on. A short moment latter, chatters from outside reached their ears. Rubbles rumbled and dust fell on their faces. Michelle closed her eyes, coughing hoarsely, moaning in pain because of her sore throat.
“We’ve got three survivors.” It was a familiar voice, but Michelle didn’t know who had spoken until Octavia’s face appeared from above. “Abby. Michelle. Kane.” She named the three of them for the people outside as she climbed down the rubbles to get to them.
“We’re gonna be okay.” Abby smiled shakily at Kane and Michelle. Kane and Michelle were put on stretchers and one after the other, they were carried outside the collapsed building. Michelle saw people move quickly around her and her father. The faces were blurring into each other as they were put on the ground and covered with blankets. She called out to her mom in a whisper when she saw her bent over her. Callie smiled at her. Michelle closed her eyes, sighing softly as her mother caressed her hair but in a second, the feeling of her comforting touch was gone. She weakly opened her eyes, rolling her head towards her father. He was passed out. She looked at him, slipping her hand out of under her blanket and held his. In the background, she could hear Lexa’s voice as she gave a speech but she couldn’t make out the words and just closed her eyes, her face turned to Kane. She was exhausted. Abby shouted before kneeling by Kane and Michelle’s stretchers. The latter placed their hands under the blanket to keep them warm. Michelle had never thought she would actually need him to be her father. After tonight especially, she wanted him to be. She felt bad for lashing out at him and speaking such harsh words, repeatedly pushing him away but now, she felt more ready to accept him into her life as her dad. A moment later, she was resting her eyes and felt people lift their stretchers off the ground. Her hand slipped from under the blanket, hanging from the edge of her gurney, raindrops falling on her face.
Tumblr media
Michelle was pushed forward by a soldier, she glanced over her shoulder despite the black bag slung over her head. She could only guess where they were taking her and the others but her sole guess was definitely the right one. Emerson had brought them into Mount Weather. It had been a few days already, since the missile exploded in Tondc and Kane and Michelle found themselves tuck under the rubbles and because they were caught by surprise by Emerson and some other Mount Weather guards, blinded, handcuffed and forcefully dragged here. Michelle knew they were walking down a maze of corridors and she feared for what was going to happen to them once they would reach their destination. She kept walking, looking forward, knowing the person walking before her was her dad. Since the explosion, their relationship had taken a leap forward, and it was really good news. She had been so afraid of losing him too, it made her realize she indeed wanted him in her life, unlike what she told him, she needed him. She needed her dad. He was the only parent she had left. They were pushed through a doorway. Michelle looked around without moving her head, feeling more people around them. The sound of a piercing drill along with grunting and screaming reaching her ears didn’t reassure her one bit as to what was going to happen. She knew what they were doing to their people in the facility that was Mount Weather and knowing it could happen to her made her feel anxious.
“On their knees.” Someone ordered and they were, one by one, pushed down. Michelle felt a hit on her shoulder and fell to her knees, fearing what she was going to see once they would take the bags off her head.
“Did we take any losses?” A man came in, talking in a calm voice in front of them. Michelle raised her head towards the direction the voice was coming from, having no idea who this new person was. What she knew on the other hand was that his interlocutor was Emerson.
“Not as many as they did, sir, but I’m afraid I’m the only left who’s been cured. Some of the kids are still missing.” He informed. “If you’d like I can take a team in hazmats, we’ll sweep the other levels.”
“No. No more wasted lives. In 48 hours, we will all be on the ground.” He sounded overly confident that this was what would happen but knowing Clarke and the others were still somewhere out there, he shouldn’t get ahead of himself. He then requested their hoods were taken off and when Nate’s dad called out to his son upon seeing him, Michelle heard him get hit by a gun and Nate grunting, yelling at them. They took off the hood on her head and she looked around. Their friends and peers were cuffed to the walls, their arms stretched above their heads and someone was strapped to a table, blood all over. By the time they could see, the drill had been put down and the person in gloves and suit as gathering the bone marrow and blood in a large syringe. This was what awaiting every single one of them if Clarke, Bellamy and the others couldn’t end the Mountain men. Michelle quickly glanced at her father, frowning, with fear in her eyes and he didn’t seem much reassured either. He was shocked.
“What is wrong with you people?”
“Where’s my daughter?” Abby enquired.
“She’s talking about Clarke.” Emerson told the man who was apparently in charge of the place. The latter approached Abby.
“I’m sorry it had to come to this.” Abby was perturbed, looking around as the drilling resumed. Michelle stared into the void, wondering if Clarke had gotten to Bellamy by now or if they killed her. It couldn’t be. There was no way they caught her. Michelle frowned, looking down, sickened by the drill and the screams. A couple guards pulled them up and one after the other, they were cuffed to the wall, their arms up. Michelle was right in between Abby and her father, and she couldn’t get her widened eyes off the man they butchered on that table.
“He’s dead.” A man stated.
“It’s okay. We’ve already got the marrow.” Another said.
“Guards, we need another one.” The body was carried off the table and disposed off. Michelle was fidgeting with her hands, nervously moving them around, the handcuffs hurting her wrists.
“She’s next.” A guard looked at Raven. Wick started protesting, asking them to take him instead of her but they couldn’t care less about what he had to say. He yelled and Raven violently fought back, struggling but they hit her with a shock baton multiple times to stun her. They then carried her to the table, and restrained her legs, arms and around her neck. Raven stayed still until a man bent over, near her head and she bit him fiercely. He hadn’t had the time to tie the strap around her wrist and she started struggling against them as they tried to hold her down, ultimately using the shock baton on her until she stopped fighting. She slightly drooled from the mouth, staring into the void. She came back to herself and looked at the man holding the drill, trying not to scream but she couldn’t fight it. Chills ran down Michelle's spine as she watched Raven scream until she was too exhausted and in pain that she looked about to pass out.
“Take that one off the table.” The man in charge, named Cage, waved at Raven.
“Sir, we’re not done—”
“Now.” He cut him off. While the other men put Raven to the side, on a stretcher, Cage turned towards Kane, Michelle and Abby, poiting his finger at them, picking one. He was about to point at Abby, but Michelle felt his eyes shift to her. Knowing that she was going to be next, her heart dropped to her stomach and she widened her eyes even more. “And put her on it.”
“No. No, no, no.” Two guards uncuffed her, holding her arms tightly as she tried to fight them off, her father trying to plead with Cage, begging them while Michelle struggled and screamed. She grunted when they used a shock baton on her stomach for a few seconds. Her breathing sharpened as she dropped her head forward.
“No one has to die for bone marrow. We can donate it.” Kane yelled as they forcefully put her on the table. Like Raven, she was moving so much they had to strike her multiple times so she would be stunned enough to strap her down and start. Her father was angrily yelling, still trying to convince Cage to let Michelle go, assuring they could donate it to them with Abby’s help. Michelle was coming back to her and looked at Cage who was staring down at her. She got his eyes off him, looking at the man holding the drill when the sound started, and her face distorted with fear. She hadn’t even realized but they had cut a rectangle into her jeans already. When she felt the drill piercing through her skin and into her bone, she cried out. In a blink of an eye, the pain became so unbearable that she screamed at the top of her lungs for what seemed like an eternity, and like Raven, until she was too exhausted to scream anymore and just lied there, numb. She was so close to passing out from the pain, that she didn’t even realize another of them was brought into the room. After a moment, Michelle weakly looked around, hearing an alarm wailing. Mountain mean started gasping and coughing, falling to the floor. A minute later, Michelle tried looking to the door they came through when someone slammed it open and saw Octavia bursting in.
“Hey, get the keys from the guard.” Kane showed the dead man. She ran to the body, got the keys and freed Kane first. He came running to his daughter.
“Dad.” She said faintly as he untied her. He then put a hand in her back and helped her sit up. She winced at the pain that shot in her leg. Abby was wrapping a clean cloth around her leg. Once she was done, she helped her pass her leg over the edge when Clarke arrived, catching her attention. Michelle was relieved to see her and looked at the two hugging. She turned her head to her dad and drew him into a hug, burying her head in his neck. He didn’t even need to think about it and hugged her in returm, a hand behind her head. They stayed like this for a whole minute before Clarke approached and Michelle saw her. Kane stepped aside and the two childhood best friends hugged each other tightly. Clarke whispered in her ear, apologizing for everything and even though Michelle had felt betrayed, she could feel her apologizes were sincere. She was truly sorry, and she forgave her. After he went to talk to Bellamy, her father came back and carried her in his arms to a stretcher. They walked all night to get back to Camp Jaha and all night, Kane walked by the stretcher and held Michelle’s hand. They had never been this close since after she understood he was actually important to her and her life.
The day had already risen when they arrived at the gates of the camp. People chattering around them. Two camp guards carried her stretcher. She looked up at her dad and he felt her gaze, tenderly looking back at her. It was clear in his eyes that he was so concerned about her. Jackson jogged to them, a bag in his hands. The never ending battle with Mount Weather had actually come to an end. It was a huge relief. The guards put her to the ground and all three, Abby, Kane and Jackson kneeled around her. She was feeling much better than a few hours prior and the bleeding had stopped but if she dared move too much, pain would shoot through her leg. She always won the jackpot in terms of injuries. Hand slashed, bruised back, gets an arrow shot in her thigh, a head wound and now someone drilled into her femur. It hadn’t even been more than a couple months since they landed on earth. While Jackson and Abby were quickly checking her wound, Michelle noticed Clarke still standing outside the camp’s grounds, Bellamy by her side. She always could tell when something was up with her; they had known each other since they were newborns. She was her sister. Michelle gritted her teeth, trying to sit up, arguing with the three adults around her that she wanted to go to Clarke. She was so relentless with her attempts at getting up, without caring about whether she was going to hurt herself even more, Kane gave in and helped her, carrying her. As they approached, Clarke and Bellamy hugged. Kane helped Michelle stand and she hoped on one leg. Bellamy saw her and nodded at Kane as he provided Michelle with support so she could stand in front of Clarke. She already had tears in her eyes, knowing she was leaving them because of what happened at Mount Weather. Michelle wrapped her arms around her.
“May we meet again.” She said softly.
“May we meet again.” With a shaky voice, she replied before breaking the hug and turned around. Holding onto Bellamy, she watched Clarke walk away and her heart ached. She glanced at Bellamy and he was just as hurt. When Kane called out to his daughter, asking her if she was ready to come back in, and Bellamy caught her off guard, carrying her himself and she just looked at him in confusion for a second. They both had had to let go off Clarke just then and they had this common pain.

When Bellamy takes control over the 100 upon landing, he doesn’t expect that his first task will be to make peace with the Queen of Trikru, the leader of a group of people who by all accounts shouldn’t even exist. It certainly isn’t helping that Queen Clarke is the most annoying, self-important person he’s ever had to deal with — or at least, that’s what he likes to tell himself, though the flower petals he’s suddenly started coughing up seem to disagree. Soulbonds are unheard of on the Ark and rare among the grounders, but a bond left unreciprocated for too long can lead to only one thing: a slow and painful death as a flower grows around the lungs and heart. Unfortunately for Bellamy, the only cure for Hanahaki Disease is to complete the bond, and the Queen isn’t looking to Skaikru for a match.

You can only get pregnant if you sleep with your soulmate, so Clarke decides there’s no harm in a little casual sex with her best friend’s older brother. In all the years they’ve known each other, Bellamy and Clarke have hated each other, so surely they couldn’t actually be soulmates. At least, that’s what Clarke thought.

In a world where you get your soulmark "when you're ready", Bellamy and Clarke were childhood best friends until Abby's new job took the Griffins across the country. Years later, they discover through mutual friends that they ended up at the same college, and each realizes that the other got hot ... but also, more importantly, they quickly become best friends again. It's considered taboo to talk about soulmarks outside of a committed relationship so neither has any idea that, of course, theirs match. Featuring premed artist!Clarke and prelaw writer!Bellamy, and a lot of meddling from their friends.

When all the clans start vying for Clarke's hand, Bellamy realises the only way to keep her safe and free is by marrying her himself.

Clarke and Bellamy are married. It's not because they are in love with each other, it's because Bellamy needed to be married in order to keep his sister out of foster care and to keep Clarke's mom off her back, or aleast, thats what they tell themselves.

It’s wedding season and Clarke, as single as ever, is faced with the prospect of spending an entire summer at the singles’ table. The only person who might be more miserable than her is her best friend’s brother Bellamy, who just got dumped from a three year relationship. They’ve never gotten along, but decide to make a deal - double down on weddings by being each others’ plus ones, so they can avoid the singles’ tables and wingman each other. It’s just a mutually beneficial agreement, that’s all. Until things get complicated of course. Or, the Plus One AU no one asked for.

Clarke is taking an extra latin course in college. As she's trying to translate a text, she accidentally summons a demon - Bellamy. He is, of course, very unimpressed, and tries to get her to sell her soul, which of course Clarke refuses. Clarke keeps accidentally summoning him, which is why her friends point out that maybe there’s more to her feelings for him.

Clarke knew that when Lincoln of Trikru, also her friend, ran away with an Azgedan warrior Octavia, it would bring nothing but trouble. She just didn't expect that said trouble would land directly at her feet and that she'd be not-so-politely and not really asked to marry the warriors brother to keep the peace between the clans. And she most definitely didn't expect to not hate him as much as she planned to.

Leaving Clarke behind was the hardest thing Bellamy ever had to do. For the first time in his life, he'd felt real hope for a future with her. Praimfaya had ripped that away from him, in the same comical way the universe took everything he cared about — his mother, Octavia's innocence, Gina, his friends, his freedom. He'd keep going for the others on the ring, *for Clarke,* but he was done caring. About anything. But then he saw that patch of green, and unmistakable hope bloomed in his chest. Maybe she made it. Maybe she was there in that Eden waiting for him to come back. She had to have made it, she had to be alive down there.
And so the five-year wait begins, Bellamy with renewed hope for the future and the others on the Ring with a sinking worry that if he's wrong, it will be the thing that destroys him.

Ever since their freshman year, Bellamy and Clarke have been competing to cover the best stories, and no one at Arkadia U News is expecting their senior year to go any differently. However, that all changes when the first big scoop of the year involves the shady dealings of one of their former teachers: Professor Cage Wallace. Their competitiveness pales in comparison to the desire to expose their mutually despised professor, and it’s easy for them to agree to put their rivalry aside and work together just this once. GIF REQUEST MEME: Favorite season from The 100 - Season four
I love season four for a lot of reasons!! I think it’s the best season of the show and it should have been their last (despite my love for most of s5 ^^) I’m gonna ramble a lot but I don’t want it to take over the gifset so I’ll put it under a cut
Season four is the time of hard, impossible choices for everybody. The bomb at Farm Station, the List, the Nightblood tests, opening the bunker, the anti-radiation medicine…. Everybody is put through the ringer during this season and honestly, this is what I’m here for.
First great point for me personally: They can’t stop the radiations. When season 3 ended with the reveal of the radiations coming, I was legit disappointed with the show, I didn’t want them to spend the season “turning off” radiations miraculously, you know. So when ep 2 of the season aired and the first thing Raven said was “there’s no magic button to stop this” I WAS SO HAPPY!! It immediately got me much more hyped for the rest of the season because I was invested in “riding out 5 years of hell” much more than “let’s find a magic button”. So the season hooked me then ^^
The season is really good at re-using previous themes and twist them in just the right way
Clarke, who was so angry at the council for killing her dad, finds herself in the council’s position, and starts to understand that making such hard decisions is never easy. Making the list for instance, is so different from what she had to do before. The genocide of Mt Weather was an act of despair in the middle of a war, but making the list is a process, she has to truly chose who is “worth” more, which is what the council did when they sent the 100 to the Ground. She choses to hide the truth from everybody despite it going against what she wanted at the start of the show. It’s a really cool change for her character.
The Arkers and Grounders take the decision to test the Nightblood against Luna, the Rock Line thief, and Emori’s will. An obvious reminder of s2 but that I appreciate. I liked the Mt Weather story because of this: the mountain men were the antagonists but they also were the same as the rest of the show, they were doing whatever they had to do to survive, whatever it took, no matter how cruel it could be. We see in this season that when faced with the same decision, our protagonists reach the same result: sacrificing other people’s bodily autonomy to survive is worth it to them. It’s a really interesting theme to bring back because it muddies the waters of who’s right and wrong, and it highlights that in the end, there is no black and white answer.
This season gives us my personal favorite version of Clarke: she’s the closest she’ll get to a true antagonist (only comparable to s5 but s5 is a little bit of a mess so I still prefer her in s4). She has one conviction: saving her people. And to get it, she is ready to lie, to cheat, to kill, whatever it takes. It is interesting because I always saw Clarke in that light. She always believes that she has the right idea and she will do what it takes to get what she thinks is best. That’s where she is interesting to me (I’m not interested in her being an innocent victim forced to take decisions, that’s not how I see her at all and I find her a little dull in that interpretation haha but that’s for another post). Clarke stealing the bunker is a cruel act, but man, it’s incredibly smart. At that moment she knows she’s condeming many people (some of whom very close to her) to death, but she believes deep inside her that it’s the right thing to do so she’s willing to do it. And i really prefer her in those ruthless moments.
Octavia’s arc this season isn’t my favorite, but she is at her best during the last few episodes for me. The creation of Wonkru is one of my favorite scenes of the entire show, even though I saw it coming a mile away lmao (1200 spaces, 12 clans, it was easy to see where they were going!). I love the scene, I love the place it comes from (Octavia channeling Lincoln’s convictions was brilliant). I might not agree with her decisions (skaikru definitely deserved more spots than the other clans), but it makes perfect sense for her character to make this decision. The scene of her talking to Skaikru and telling them they’re no different from the others, and they have to choose or they all die, is also one of my favorites. Octavia received no mercy on the Ark, she had a terribly tragic childhood because of those people who are now begging her for their lives, and she doesn’t budge. The Ark, and the Ground, forced her to be that way, and she doesn’t back away. It’s also all a brilliant introduction to what Wonkru and Octavia will become in s5 (but again, that’s for another post lmao)
I love that we get the introduction of Spacekru because I love their little found family and the scene where they reach the Ring is so good!
Murphy’s speech to Clarke makes me tear up everytime I see it (it really was one of the strongest moments of acting of the entire show, Richard Harmon is amazing in it). Emori also blows me away in the previous episode, the way she’s shown to be ruthless, and cunning, and also how well she reads people. She knew they would come to test someone, and she did everything she had to for that someone to not be her. I love her ^^
I like the plot of the second dawn bunker well enough! (although I will never change my mind that Cadogan was a dumbass for putting it where it is instead of IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FOREST WHERE THERE’S NO RISK OF BUILDINGS FALLING ON IT LIKE WHAT LITERALLY HAPPENED IN S5 OKAY anyway…..), it’s far from perfect but I like that it explains the people coming to greet Becca in s3, and I like that we expand a little on the origins of the Grounders culture (even though I wanted more about this). It’s kind of an “easy” solution, but at the same time it’s not. It was established early in the season before being abandoned, and even once it’s found, it’s not at all a perfect and easy solution. They have to fight for it, decide who lives there, it’s a pretty interesting development. What I mean is that it’s not discovered one episode before the end and it doesn’t solve everything. If anything, it creates more conflict. Which I appreciate alot.
ALSO ALSO Echo is a badass general in this season and I love it. She goes from being a spy in earlier seasons, to full-on commanding armies and being a strategic mastermind and I love it! She’s also ruthless and cunning and I lvoe that for her. It’s also such a good season for her and Bellamy!!! I lvoe all of it ^^
This season also has one of my favorite underrated quotes!!!! I’m gonna use a gif here cause I’m not at the limit yet lmao
Tumblr media
“It’s unity day.” GODDDD it’s so good. It’s simple, but it conveys so much information and I love it:
Unity Day: the stations coming together to survive -> we’re virtually in the same situation here.
It’s a happy occasion, a day of survival and hope, just like the hope Octavia gave all the clans with her decisions
But it’s also a day of death and loss. She’s giving Kane a choice: join Wonkru with 100 members, or die in the flames.
It reminds us of the history of the Arkers, and I love when world-building does this thing where both characters are shown to have such a close cultural background that three little words are enough to convey such a strong message. It’s a detail but I love it and I wanted to ramble for a little bit ^^
Clarke’s sacrifice: This is when it gets to “meh” points for the seasons for me. Clarke deciding to stay behind to save Spacekru was a good moment. Yes, I know that if she hadn’t climbed the tower they all would have died anyway, but still. It’s a great moment for her character. She has hurt those people time and time again during this season, she was ready to let them die more than once, and I think she regrets it (although again, I like to see the extremes she’s willing to reach in this season). In that moment, she doesn’t decide that it’s too late to survive so she might as well give up. She knows she’s going to die, and she gives her last moments to save the lives of the people she hurt in the past. And I really love this. That is….. Until Clarke is revealed to not have died. I truly believe that she had reached the ending of her arc in the show, and it would have been a great ending to her character. But that’s also because I believe the show should have ended in s4 lmao. If it had ended, then maybe they could have left her death ambiguois, by showing her reaching the safety of the lab, but not showing her again afterwards. That way, we had no way of being sure she survived, but it was left ambiguous enough to make us decide her fate outselves.
The perfect ending: I didn’t choose the last gif randomly. That scene of Raven and Bellamy looking down on the Earth was in my opinion the perfect shot to end the show. At that point in time, we are left in a place that is very similar to where the show started: the Earth is destroyed by radiations, some people are waiting it out in space, some people are waiting it out on the ground. it mirrors the premise of the show (although in a much smaller scale), but this time, we’re left with hope of what might come in the future. Those two groups know (or hope) that they will reunite, especially with Octavia and Bellamy, the relationship at the core of the show, being separated. If the show ends here, we have come full circle from the pilot episode, and we can imagine how those two groups will reunite in the future. I find that ending the best possible for the show, so even though there’s so much I like about season 5, I wish the show had stopped at that moment, at that shot of Raven and Bellamy looking down on the Earth.
That got reaaaaally long, so…. sorry about that xD If you’ve reached this far, feel free to tell me what you think of this season (or the others haha) or send me asks, or request for other gifsets!!!

Virago 33. Unexpected Outcomes
Tumblr media
Summary: Y/N was sent to the ground after spending five years in the Skybox for stealing medical supplies and murder. How will she deal with her new environment and learn to survive on earth? Will she crack under the pressure of becoming a leader of the 100 or will she embrace it.

Semet and the others took you and Octavia on the long journey back to Polis to see the Commander, Lexa. They didn’t stop as they wanted to get to polis as quick as possible.
“The Flamekeeper promised we would be heard!” Semet says as he bursts through the guards. The other men push you and Octavia forwards.
“Octavia. Y/N,” You barely hear Clarke. You look over to see her standing off to the side.
“Forgive me for intruding on this holy day, Commander. I am Semet of Trikru and I come seeking justice,” Semet says to Lexa.
“Explain yourself. Why do you hold Octavia and Y/N of Skaikru prisoner?” Lexa questions.
“She is a prisoner of war, Commander -- brought here to bear witness to the crimes of their people,” Semet explains.
“What crimes? What happened?” Clarke questions both Semet and Titus.
“Skaikru attacked their village. Because their warriors were lost when your people massacred the army we had sent to protect you, their village was defenseless,” Titus explains.
“Please, Commander. I beg you. Avenge us,” Semet says.
“Blood must have blood!” A woman in the crowd says.
“Death to Skaikru!” A man says as the others in the room start to get agitated.
“You will show respect in this chamber!” Titus says to the upset grounders. Once the other grounders had calmed down a bit, Clarke, Lexa and Titus leave to discuss what to do. After a few minutes they return, silencing the other grounders.
“Today I call upon the armies of the 12 clans to march on Arkadia. Not to attack, but to contain. We will blockade the 13th clan. We will keep them from the lands they wish to possess. We will give them time to take out their leaders from within. Once they rise up against them, then we will welcome them back as one of us,” Lexa announces.
“You heard the commander. Send riders. Tell your armies to set up a buffer zone around Arkadia. 5 miles should be enough to keep them away from our villages. What are their orders, Heda?” Titus says.
“Any Skaikru caught across the line will be subject to a kill order,” Lexa says surprising us.
“Heda, I do not understand. How is this vengeance?” Seme asks, questioning Lexa’s commands.
“It is not vengeance, my brother. It is justice,” Lexa responds.
“Skaikru killed my sons. And my brother and my wife. If the spirit of the commander will not protect us then what will?” Semet says to the others..
“You mind yourself, Semet,” Titus reminds him.
“Death to the commander!” Semet yells. He charges at Lexa, but Titus was able disarm and stab him in the throat him before he could get close.
“Blood must have blood,” Titus says to Lexa. After the events in the chamber, they had released you and Octavia and allowed you to talk to Clarke.
“No wonder you wanted to stay,” Octavia says to Clarke.
“Stop. You know why i’m here. Are you two ok?” Clarke asks.
“Yeah,” You and Octavia say in unison.
“I saw Indra in the crowd. Why wasn’t she with Lexa?” Octavia says.
“Indra’s not doing so well. We can’t deal with that right now,” Clarke says.
“Ok, so what do we do?” You ask.
“I have to talk to Lexa,” Clarke responds.
“You just did that and came out with a kill order on all of us. That’s the second time that she left us all to die,” You point out.
“The 12 clans want a war. You two know that. Lexa’s just trying not to wipe us out,” Clarke says.
“Why am I not surprised that you’re still defending her?” Octavia says.
“I’ll see what I can do. Stay here, both of you,” Clarke says.
“Yeah, right,” You say under your breath.
“Let’s go,” Octavia says implying she agrees with you. You walk around Polis as Octavia is taken to see Indra.
“How is she?” You ask as Octiavia finds you in the crowd.
“Not good. She’s giving up,” She responds.
“That doesn’t sound like Indra,” You say.
“It isn’t,” Octavia says as the two of you make your way back to the tower.
“She told you you can stay, didn’t she?” You ask walking into Clarke’s room.
“What did you say?” Octavia adds.
“Nothing,” Clarke responds.
“Clarke, we all know that Pike won’t obey the blockade. We need to stop him before more of our people get killed,” You say.
“What if I can do more for them by just staying here?” Clarke asks.
“You can’t, Clarke. We don’t have time for this,” Octavia doesn’t hesitate to say.
“Look. We need you. The kill order goes into effect at dawn. You have an hour to say your good-byes,” You say before you walk out with Octavia.
“If you’re not there, you’re not the person I thought you were,” Octavia says before you leave the room.
“Do you think she’s coming?” You ask Octavia.
“I don’t know. But I hope she does,” She responds. The two of you head down to the edge of the city and wait for Clarke to show up. About an hour passes and you don;t see any sign of Clarke so the two of you start to leave.
“Octavia and Y/N kom Skaikru,” You hear from behind you. The both of you immediately recognize the voice to be Indra’s and you see a smile form on Octavia’s face. Indra then joins the two of you as you leave Polis.

The issue with trying to construct shows where no form of oppression exists, is that the people creating it come from oppressed societies and don’t adequately check themselves. Like Jaha becoming a villain made sense, but Pike not being able to see the Grounders were ppl just like him didn’t. When we’re introduced to Pike he’s characterized as compassionate and kinda father-figure like. And even people like Miller, Jackson, Indra, and Gaia - moreso used as tools for other characters’ development as opposed to their own. Wells is literally the “black guy always dies first” trope. And even Lincoln’s character has some uncomfortable stuff going on. It’s not purposeful or consciously done - it’s designed so it doesn’t have to be. We don’t have a main character who’s black, of color, or indigenous that has actual development and is a major part of the plot. Monty didn’t really develop at all - neither did Gaia. Indra didn’t really develop, so much as she considered Skaikru family and opened herself up to them. And the death of cultures was so sad - why did all the stations on the Ark settle on English? They had nothing but time - they should’ve learned every language they could. The erasure of all the religions - it would’ve been cool to see how Grounder clans incorporated Becca and the Nightbloods into their religions. Maybe they saw Becca and the Commanders as Maitreya, Kalki, Jesus, etc. You’ve got to remember that’s it’s only been 100 years since the bombs went off. Which happened in like 2030(lol, how bleak). There’s no way all of that just disappears. The culture of the militant Ark is one thing, but the Grounder cultures should’ve retained a lot more. Also, no hijabis, no other languages(Latin and trig doesn’t count), etc. The Commander’s Regalia clearly has Indian influences, but that’s about it. There’s a lot of “eastern” influences in Polis and Grounder culture but nothing concrete. If they’d done the prequel, the second commander being Indian- and so they introduced those parts of the Commander’s Regalia - would’ve been so cool. But I also thought it was dumb that Calliope wasn’t the second commander. Jason essentially tried to recreate the mid season 2 Clarke/Lexa dynamic with Becca and Calliope. As a way to legitimize not giving Clarke the flame, but all it did was make me think that both Calliope and Clarke should’ve gotten the flame. They were clearly being implied as heirs to their respective mentors. Honestly, Lexa should’ve taken Clarke as her second. That could’ve been a really easy way to incorporate her and Skaikru into Grounder culture. Like the usual things people do in alliances were just ignored here. Lexa should’ve commanded a person from each of the 12 clans to come to Polis and take a second - maybe even have several do it. If she didn’t want to weaken Clarke’s position by having her serve Lexa - Luna was an option. Octavia’s training was over. Roan could’ve trained Bellamy(We DESERVED bi Bellamy) or Monty, Miller, Harper, Raven, Murphy, or Jasper(WE DESERVED Monsper but I’m thinking Monty and Roan could’ve been cute too). Like Raven and Murphy having to enter the Order of the Flame under Titus? Having Abby and Jackson create a “school”/safe zone of Mt. Weather where they trained Grounder healers to be doctors. That too. They didn’t leverage their medical/technological superiority NEARLY enough. Like Sinclair and Raven could’ve showed them how to turn the heaters in Polis on or something. No political marriages either. I feel like Jason got so into the sci-fi, he kinda forgot what I felt like really pulled a lot of people into the 100 - that Lord of The Flies, Animal Farm appeal with a sci-fi twist. I loved the politics and strategy of the 100 in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi setting. He didn’t balance it well and he veered way too far into Sci-fi. And also, a lot of the characterization and depth we got in the first 2 seasons was lost. You really need to see Characters doing meaningless things that don’t always push the plot - some filler is good!

Peace on Earth (let it begin with us)
canonverse | one-shot | arranged marriage | grounder!Clarke
When Clarke had wished for peace during the winter solstice festival the night before, this is not what she had meant.
“If you are willing to marry my second, you can have your political alliance, Skaigona.”
Her head whips to Anya in astonishment, thinking surely she didn’t hear that right. Clarke is Anya’s second. Meaning that her clan leader just offered her up for a political marriage with an annoyingly arrogant man who has been nothing but a thorn in their side since he crash-landed on the ground months ago.
***
Or, an arranged marriage AU where some snowfall is the perfect opportunity for Clarke and Bellamy to get to know each other a little better.
