#the aftermath - a show in a virtual reality
honestly im so glad the CoD wasn't in golden cheese update. Their presence would kinda ruin the vibe because we'll already know that they'll lose and its better that the conflict of GC's arc is within her kingdom.
Like, remember, everyone in that virtual world died defending the kingdom. Mozarella knew that the way GC dealt with the aftermath is not ideal but she didn't have power to do something about it.
As much as ppl are frustrated with Smoked Cheese, he's still one of the people who died defending the kingdom too. Being "revived" by your Queen God and living in a reality that you know is fake. Not being allowed to process the trauma of everything that happened because your ruler refused to acknowledge it. I genuinely think that he was pushed to the edge with it.
Golden Cheese knew that she and Smoked Cheese had different views but they both cared about the kingdom. We've seen how she reacted to it being gone, I assume that's his own reaction about it also being gone, just living in that fake world making him lose his grip. Yeah it's not a "heroic" way of dealing with it but I think it's a nice touch to show how GC's denial affected the subjects she wanted to protect.
That's why I really like how she dealt with him in the end. She's hurt and angry at his betrayal, but she's greedy and he's still her subject.
I think towards the end, seeing how Mozarella and Smoked Cheese betrayed her, realizing that she forgot about the cheese birds that survived, was a huge wake up call.
Anyways the update was GC going through the stages of grief but with a long denial arc.
I really like her relationships with Mozarella, High Priest Bird, Burnt Cheese, and Smoked Cheese. Such a nice difference towards how they see their God (and im eating it all up).
I just hope that we actually get a story of her finding out about Lily being Dark Enchantress because we SAW how HB and DCa reacted to it. But that's for another update and I believe it should be another update because girlie went through a lot lmao.

You will get chipped. It’s just a matter of time.
In the aftermath of a Wisconsin firm embedding microchips in employees last week to ditch company badges and corporate logons, the Internet has entered into full-throated debate.
Religious activists are so appalled, they’ve been penning nasty 1-star reviews of the company, Three Square Market, on Google, Glassdoor and social media.
On the flip side, seemingly everyone else wants to know: Is this what real life is going to be like soon at work? Will I be chipped?
“It will happen to everybody,” says Noelle Chesley, 49, associate professor of sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. “But not this year, and not in 2018. Maybe not my generation, but certainly that of my kids.”
Gene Munster, an investor and analyst at Loup Ventures, is an advocate for augmented reality, virtual reality and other new technologies. He thinks embedded chips in human bodies is 50 years away. “In 10 years, Facebook, Google, Apple and Tesla will not have their employees chipped,” he says. “You’ll see some extreme forward-looking tech people adopting it, but not large companies.”
The idea of being chipped has too “much negative connotation” today, but by 2067 “we will have been desensitized by the social stigma,” Munster says.
For now, Three Square Market, or 32M, hasn’t offered concrete benefits for getting chipped beyond badge and log-on stats. Munster says it was a “PR stunt” for the company to get attention to its product and it certainly succeeded, getting the small start-up air play on CBS, NBC and ABC, and generating headlines worldwide. The company, which sells corporate cafeteria kiosks designed to replace vending machines, would like the kiosks to handle cashless transactions.
This would go beyond paying with your smartphone. Instead, chipped customers would simply wave their hands in lieu of Apple Pay and other mobile-payment systems.
The benefits don’t stop there. In the future, consumers could zip through airport scanners sans passport or drivers license; open doors; start cars; and operate home automation systems. All of it, if the technology pans out, with the simple wave of a hand.
The embedded chip is not a GPS tracker, which is what many critics initially feared. However, analysts believe future chips will track our every move.
For example, pets for years have been embedded with chips to store their name and owner contact. Indeed, 32M isn’t the first company to embed chips in employees. In 2001, Applied Digital Solutions installed the “VeriChip” to access medical records but the company eventually changed hands and stopped selling the chip in 2010.
In Sweden, BioHax says nearly 3,000 customers have had its chip embedded to do many things, including ride the national rail system without having to show the conductor a ticket.
In the U.S., Dangerous Things, a Seattle-based firm, says it has sold “tens of thousands” of chips to consumers via its website. The chip and installation cost about $200.
After years of being a subculture, “the time is now” for chips to be more commonly used, says Amal Graafstra, founder of Dangerous Things. “We’re going to start to see chip implants get the same realm of acceptance as piercings and tattoos do now.”
In other words, they’ll be more visible, but not mainstream yet.
“It becomes part of you the way a cellphone does,” Graafstra says. “You can never forget it, and you can’t lose it. And you have the capability to communicate with machines in a way you couldn’t before.”
But after what we saw in Wisconsin last week, what’s next for the U.S. workforce? A nation of workers chipping into their pods at Federal Express, General Electric, IBM, Microsoft and other top corporations?
Experts contend consumers will latch onto chips before companies do.
Chesley says corporations are slower to respond to massive change and that there will be an age issue. Younger employees will be more open to it, while older workers will balk. “Most employers who have inter-generational workforces might phase it in slowly,” she says. “I can’t imagine people my age and older being enthusiastic about having devices put into their bodies.”
Adds Alec Levenson, a researcher at University of Southern California’s Center for Effective Organizations, “The vast majority of people will not put up with this.”
Three Square Market said the chips are voluntary, but Chesley says that if a company announces a plan to be chipped, the expectation is that you will get chipped — or risk losing out on advancement, raises and being a team player.
“That’s what we’re worried about,” says Bryan Allen, chief of staff for state Rep. Tina Davis (D), who is introducing a bill in Pennsylvania to outlaw mandatory chip embedding. “If the tech is out there, what’s to stop an employer from saying either you do this, or you can’t work here anymore.”
Several states have passed similar laws, while one state recently saw a similar bill die in committee. “I see this as a worker’s rights issue,” says Nevada state Sen. Becky Harris (R), who isn’t giving up. “This is the wrong place to be moving,” she says.
Should future corporations dive in to chipping their employees, they will have huge issues of “trust” to contend with, says Kent Grayson, a professor of marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
“You’ve got to have a lot of trust to put one of those in your body,” Grayson says. Workers will need assurances the chip is healthy, can’t be hacked, and its information is private, he says.
Meanwhile, religious advocates have taken to social media to express their displeasure about chipping, flooding 32M’s Facebook page with comments like “boycott,” “completely unnecessary” and “deplorable.” On 32M’s Google page, Amy Cosari a minister in Hager City, Wisc., urges employees to remove the chip.
“When Jesus was raised, he was raised body and soul, and it was him, not zombie, not a ghost and we are raised up in the same way,” Cosari wrote. “Employees of 32Market, you are not a walking debit card.”
Get used to it, counsels Chesley.
Ten years ago, employees didn’t look at corporate e-mail over the weekend. Now they we do, “whether we like it or not,” he says.
Be it wearable technology or an embedded chip, the always on-always connected chip is going to be part of our lives, she says.

Abyss sans's real birthday is December 5 at first I didn't know until metakaz said so reblogging someone else's drawing of abyss sans eating a cake witch metakaz called it a cute cool drawing I'm not making it up but I'm doing the screenshots but I want metakaz to know after the screenshots there is A TRUCK TON of information you need to read all of it to understand the full situation as there is smore than one screenshot and the others show the situation and the Info about it is below. There you will learn part of Nexus/dustfell sans and what's going on between your sans abyss and my take on dustfell sans.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sorry abyss sans you need to try SUPER hard on him or HARDER to get him to talk.
Ok here is the information down below I hope you have the patience and time to read it all and respond itl be alot to take in.
So I want metakaz to read this and spoiler alert itl be alot as there is a ALOT to uncover this scene so. Nexus/dustfell sans has a determination that allows him to control the code on his stats and other things about him and other stuff and ones. This comes at a price of aging to 5 years old. This also makes his vision a computer robot vision combined with iron man virtual reality vision as in he sees the world in a combination of virtual reality, iron man, robots and computer thing combined = Nexus/dustfells view on the world. This also makes vision and stats (lv,exp, atk, def ECT) however he controls them to be. It also allows him to open his menu in codeless and code aus and have this vision view of the world in both codeless aus and aus with code and has a study section in this vision made to study any sans either with code or codeless becaue its kade to help him with stats targeting and studying others and ect it even lets him script and code other objects for example he has himself the vasily zaytsev world war 2 bolt action so it m189130 mosin nagant Soviet/Russian sniper rifle. With it he can even overwrite reset load save and code using it without showing himself doing it on front of others it's unseen. He knows how to do all this cause of well it's his vision. He is smart In how to code and all that stuff for combat and survival. But as for everything else being a phsycopath, he's dumb. There isn't much research to prove phsycopaths are smart this Nexus/dustfell could be dumbfounded by smart sans’s such as abyss sans. So he studied abyss the cell core and evolution power ect just all of it it to outerdust and dustfell flowey who somehow came back from the reset but the 3 decided to hide any of this from abyss himself as neither nexus/dustfell, outerdust nor dustfell flowey wanted to offend abyss. One day however abyss came back to dustfell to greet nexus/dustfell sans the next month. Dustfell flowey however darkened at this and tried to tell nexus to stay away then exposed LITERLY EVERY SINGLE THING INFRONT OF ABYSS. Nexus tried to stop flowey but it was too late dustfell flowey mindlessly exposed all of the knowledge nexus became afraid of abyss sans because of this. Despite being a fan of abyss sans he has now became afraid of abyss witch led to nexus turning phsycopathicly aggressive to abyss sans verbally one thing leads to another and the aftermath of floweys exposing outburst is laid out in script:
nexus/dustfell sans shakes as he darkens down in fear and aggression then catches abyss off guard.
nexus/dustfell in a shaky fearful based phsycopathic aggressive tone: abyss…
Abyss: so… you were hi-
But before abyss could speak further nexus cuts him off with the demand to leave
nexus/dustfell phsycopathicly aggressive tone: get out of my au!, NOW!!!
The moment this happens nexus force thrusts abyss out of dustfell and locks his au once abyss is out of it completely so abyss has no choice but to go back to abysstale.
Script ends. So nexus knows it all and now abyss knows nexus knew and tried to hide it from abyss. Thats why abyss sans wanted to talk to nexus/dustfell sans and thats why nexus and phantom got scared and ran off. But hed usually be agressive at abyss cause of the fear he'd try to run though sence he only can see abyss once a month but can choose when he gets to see abyss he chooses the one abyss is less likely to not wanna talk to him about the whole situation at that time Nexus would then hide from abyss. Should abyss want to talk about the situation of Info Nexus got from his study slot on his vision, Nexus would teleport off to dustfell never for the 2 to see each other again till next month.
Abysstale is by @metakazkz
Dustfell by renmargo @renmarrr
Dusttale by @ask-dusttale
Underfell by Vic the underfella
This is my take on dustfell

Aftermath- Kazuichi Souda-
Summary: Kazuichi Souda partakes in unhealthy coping mechanisms after the virtual reality killing game, trying so desperately to forget about it but ultimately always remembers.
t/w: smut under the cut, drug use, mention of murder, anal, almost sex under the influence, very bad coping mechanism, takes place well after the events of Danganronpa (think a year to multiple years)
Tumblr media
Danganronpa was traumatizing.
It wasn't that hard to figure out. While his former classmates had gone toward healthy coping habits the mechanic dipped his toes into substance use and a workaholic attitude. Even though the victims and blackened students were completely okay because the game took place in a virtual reality instead of the real world, but it was still so real. Every night just before sleep he would replay when Teruteru had killed Byakuya. Every morning he would wake up he would repay seeing his classmates dead bodies. The execution's.
Kazuichi's hands stopped shaking after the first two hits. The sides of his face were fuzzy and warm, everything felt more vibrant and louder than before. Sitting back on the couch he stared at the random show he was watching. He watched the screen but his mind had already gotten shut off, it felt like it was empty. He didn't pay attention to what they were saying or the captions on screen. He was officially toasted. Just laying back and not thinking.
He's been getting high in his apartment alone for the past two months. As soon as he was legally able to purchase the substance he quickly made it a habit to get both high before bed and high in the morning. Tonight was a night like any other in that case.
It all starts with him not feeling the sadness and the depression, he just plays videogames while the television is on until he can't remember how to press buttons again.
Then the sadness creeped in. It was like the wind that would blow itself between every crack in the door or window. He started to get very cold very quickly even though it was above seventy degrees.
And then the memories hit him lick a truck full of bricks. This wave of sadness and despair crashing into him and he can see Mahiru behind his eye lids. Her head lolled to the side and covered in blood. This dent in her head and the baseball bat thrown across the room. Next thing he knew he was reaching around on the coffee table squinting hard to try and find his phone. Knocking the bong over he cursed under his breath and bent down to pick it up before all the water spilled out. He could only find the foil and the weed that once filled it was probably strewn about the dark carpet.
Feeling something underfoot he looked down and saw his cell phone laying under his foot, dirt smudged onto the screen. Picking it up he was bombarded with bright light. He had turned the lights off ages ago. He felt like he was sitting there for ages. Cross legged and hunched over as he scrolled on his phone endlessly. A notification popped up and he was suddenly more interested on who it was from.
His attention span was short so he didn't feel full of despair or completely depressed. All his attention was on Chinatsu as of now, it was a message asking how he was. For a second he wanted to answer good but then hesitated, the blue dots indicating he was typing. Then Chinatsu asked if he could come over. He was drunk and alone and terrified. It was a good thing they were neighbors.
Then Chinatsu is at his door barely able to stand up, a goofy smile stretched across his face as he swayed. He wasn't wearing his hearing aids, or, he was wearing his hearing aids haphazardly. They were switched around. At least Kazuichi knew his left from his right. Holding his arms out at the artist stumbled in he smiled when Chinatsu crashed into his arms.
"I was so- so scared." Chinatsu cried but the tears had stopped long ago. "I thought I was back in the cabins- I thought that something happened."
Kazuichi smiled and nodded, trying not to show that he was feeling almost as scared. He guided Kazuichi on the couch and sat next to him, taking the bong and putting it on the table next to him instead of in front of them.
"Why're your eyes so red?" Chinatsu was curled up against the back of the couch, knees tucked under his chin.
"Why is your face so red?" Kazuichi mocked.
"Touche."
"I thought I died in real life." Chinatsu muttered.
"I thought everyone died in real life." Kazuichi breathed. Sinking down in his seat.
"I'm so glad you're alive!"
Chinatsu cuddled up right next to Kazuichi, hugging him tightly. Kazuichi's face flushed and he felt even more warmer. Putting an awkward hand on his head Kazuichi looked anywhere but the guy clinging onto his side. He felt bad for being in the mood but weed always put him in the mood, so he didn't have to think about anything afterward. As much as he wanted to fight the moral darkness he just couldn't shake the thought from his head.
"You know, I really really like you." Chinatsu was looking up at him with that dopey smile.
"Oh, really? Little ole' me?" Kazuichi couldn't help it as his voice lowered and he spoke with a flirty tone.
"I was kind of... Jealous of Sonia..."
"Of Sonia? She's hot I admit, but I don't have my eye on her."
"Woah." Chinatsu's eyes got wide and shiny almost. "But you always made it seem like you liked her."
"Trust me..." Kazuichi trailed off, Gundham came to mind and his smile had turned into a frown.
His eyes widened when Chinatsu turned his face and kissed him messily, the thoughts in his mind floating away as quickly as they formed. His hands went straight to pulling him as close as humanely possible. His mind was brought back to the heat in the air, that he was feeling through out his body. He moved to unzip his jumpsuit, confusion drawing itself on his face when Chinatsu pulled away. He almost whined.
"Wait, wait, wait. You didn't tell me if you liked Sonia or not."
"I figured it would be obvious I like you a lot. I tell you all the time." Kazuichi rolled his eyes.
"I'm very oblivious!" Chinatsu playfully smacked him.
"Okay, then what does this say?"
Chinatsu's heart was beating fast and almost out of his ribcage. Staring up at Souda black eyes blown wide like saucers, his black and pink hair curtained their faces. The artist suddenly felt very warm and very sweaty, fidgeting beneath the mechanic.
"I think... I think you- you might wanna kiss me?" Chinatsu giggled.
The next thing Kazuichi knows he has Chinatsu in his bed, his hands and knees shaking as Kazuichi thrusted into him from behind. His whole body felt this jolt like electricity. Without thinking he leaned forward and bit down on his shoulder, the taste of blood touched his tongue and his eyes snapped open. Staring at the headboard like a deer in head lights he suddenly jerked away and felt utterly disgusting. Falling off the bed he pulled the sheet down with him, wrapping it around himself and tucking his knees under his chin.
The memories of the killings and execution's flashed like a taunting melody in his head and he only knew he was crying when drops of water landed on his hands. Chinatsu had moved to put on his underwear, slowly kneeling next to Kazuichi.
"It's okay, you're okay. You're safe, it's safe. You're in the real world." Chinatsu pet his hair softly, speaking gently to the mechanic on the floor.
Kazuichi had sobbed until daybreak and Chinatsu still stayed, brushing his hair softly and muttering comforting worlds. Trying to fight the sleep that would overtake him.

YES YES YES I WAS WAITING FOR YOU TO REBLOG IT :DDD
Obviously I gotta ask about Lucretia and then Julia and I'm also gonna ask about amber :>
:DDDD
You can find the ask game here!
So for Lucretia:
Tumblr media
I almost put deeper than she seems top, but then I thought about it, and in the podcast, while we don't see a lot of her at all, including the Stolen Century, she's still portrayed as a very deep character obviously with everything she's got going on and that she did lol
And honestly, the reason why I would be afraid of her is because, upon first meeting her, I would definitely be intimidated because I'm always intimidated by people I see as authority figures no matter what context it is or how I meet them, and I feel like on top of that, she would have a pretty intimidating aura post stolen century, and even through a lot of the latter years of the stolen century, particularly after cycle 65. And then once I'd get to know her or if I was in the balance universe and met her after Story and Song and heard the story, I would also be afraid of her because I see so much of myself in her (like now irl! Lol) and like, her whole deal and the decisions she made being a reminder of some parts of myself that I'm not too proud of and having her be a mirror as I think about what I would have done in her situation and wondering if there would be a reality in which I wouldn't do what she did even though I know it's wrong because of the thinking and behavioral patterns I constantly have to fight and sometimes fall back on without being in a apocalyptic situation 24/7 for countless years
How do you look someone in the eyes with the love you feel for them when they've deeply hurt the people they're closest too and countless others in the crossfire and being angry on the victims' behalf while also knowing that she was just doing her best and trying to mitigate the hurt they were already feeling and fix things the best way she knew how and tried her best to make them happy and safe while also knowing the aftermath and why it was wrong while also knowing that if put under the exact same circumstances having the exact same experiences, you would have done the same thing, so you have no room to judge?
How do you look at yourself after coming to that revelation?
Anyway, I just love her and am angry at her and hurt for her and have complicated feelings about her and myself and yeah *arm wiggles*
Definitely mentally I'll over her ghfkajflJxk
For Julia:
Tumblr media
There's like, no information about her in canon, so while I do like the things about her that's stated in canon, most of everything has to come from head canon and fanon ghdlajflJsl
And honestly, I never really had much to say about her because like, no one basically knows anything about her, but now I'm like, writing this whole AU where I have to make stuff up about her based on the bare bones Travis gave, and it's gotten a lot easier to do that as time has gone on, but I feel like she's basically more of an OC at this point?? Which is fine I guess since she only showed up for 2 scenes, and Travis' main descriptor of her is that she made Magnus into a "good man" instead of a "good person", whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean fjslahflKcjal
But I love her and I desperately wish she had more screen time, both because I want to know more about her as an audience member because she seems cool and she and Magnus were happy together and they deserve the best and also because it would make my life as a fanfic writer so much easier!!! Lmao like, I worry about whether she's in character or not all of the time beyond my normal can't keep any character consist, but also like, there is virtually no canon to stick to which should be freeing but AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
For Amber:
Tumblr media
I don't really have too much to say about her rn; I think that's mostly because it's been a while since I listened to Ethersea or thought about it and her all that much. But I did put a slash through they've never done anything wrong in their life because that's most of my feelings toward her, but I do feel like she was a little hard on Devo in the end there (though I can't really blame her for snapping just... when he just lost his mother figure? That's when she snapped? Really?) And I really wish they had been able to resolve that.
I also put a slash in they got done dirty by the fans because, while most of the posts I had seen about her during the last arc of the campaign were okay, there were a few that were harsh on her about her reactions to Devo and all the reasons why they hated her now when like, she had reason to be upset with him? I'm not saying that her being hard on him right after he lost Guidance was right, but Devo wasn't right in how he was treating people then and for the entirety of the podcast either tbh, and that argument and resulting tension for the rest of the season was a long time coming. And even though she was done with his bullshit, she still cared enough about him to go after him in the tower despite not wanting to and to make sure he was safe and even got to see the surface of another world before she dived head first into it.
Like, neither of them are perfect characters, far from it actually, and that's the point, and I think there were some people who were too harsh on both of them. Myself included at times tbh
Most of the other posts about her were fine though, so that's why it's only a slash lol
Thank you for sending this in!!! :D

ABBA reflects on 50th anniversary of Eurovision win
New Post has been published on https://qnews.com.au/abba-reflects-on-50th-anniversary-of-eurovision-win/
ABBA reflects on 50th anniversary of Eurovision win
Tumblr media
ABBA has sent a lovely – and rare – message to their fans on a very special anniversary: it’s 50 years since the Swedish pop supergroup won the Eurovision Song Contest.
Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Agnetha Faltskog and Anni-Frid Lyngstad competed in the music competition in the UK in April 1974.
ABBA won the contest with Waterloo, and would go on to be one of the most successful pop acts in history.
For the 50th anniversary this week, the Swedish pop supergroup thanked fans for their “steadfast loyalty and support”.
“It’s slightly dizzying and deeply humbling to think that millions of you who saw us for the first time in the Eurovision final 1974 have passed our music on not only to one generation, but to several,” ABBA said in the rare joint statement.
“We see evidence of that every time one of us visits [virtual concert show] ABBA Voyage in London.
“It’s because of this we can celebrate the 50th anniversary of that event in the knowledge that our songs still resonate around the world.”

A post shared by ABBA (@abba)
‘Many of you were there from the very start’
The group said they find it “difficult to comprehend” that 50 years has passed since Eurovision.
“The four of us waited backstage for the verdicts of all of the juries around Europe at The Dome in Brighton,” they recalled.
“So what were our dreams during those suspenseful moments or in the chaos in the aftermath of the victory we had secured with the smallest margin in Eurovision history?
“Four different dreams, no doubt. But whatever they were, however grand, reality has surpassed them, that’s for sure.
“Many of you were there from the very start and have followed us ever since – for over half a century!
“Music you discover and learn to love when you grow up or even later in life has a way of staying with you forever.
“We share that experience with you and to know that our music has become a constant in your lives is a wonderful thing.”
The group said, “Throughout the years we’ve been blessed with the outpouring of love from you, our fans.
“We feel it and we want to know that hardly a day goes by when we’re not reminded of it.
“To say thank you for what you’re giving us without sounding trivial is not easy and this is not a moment of triviality.
“It is a happy and, at the same time, solemn moment and we can only hope that you understand how deeply grateful we are for a long, successful career and for your steadfast loyalty and support through the years. Thank you!”
‘No way’ ABBA will reunite for Eurovision
ABBA split in 1982 after a decade together. In 2021, the group reunited and put out their first new music in decades with their ninth studio album Voyage.
The following year they launched their virtual concert ABBA Voyage in the UK, with life-size avatars performing just as they looked in 1979.
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest is in Sweden in May. However, we shouldn’t expect an ABBA cameo.
Benny told the BBC recently there’s “no way” ABBA will reunite or appear on stage together during the contest.
Australia’s contender for Eurovision in Sweden
Next month, electronic music duo Electric Fields will represent Australia at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.
The duo will perform One Milkali (One Blood), which features the Indigenous language Yankunytjatjara.
Electric Fields will compete in the first semi-final of Eurovision 2024. It’ll screen live in Australia early on Wednesday, May 8 before the final on Sunday, May 12 our time.

Technologies that will make an impact in the gaming industry
The gaming industry has changed from playing games on the phone to consoles and PC. New technologies are now used to create video games with the goal of making them fun and realistic. Also, fans expect their favorite games to have something new, different, and easy to play. This mentality of players is well-known and understood by video game companies. So, video game companies have begun investing in new technologies to achieve the expectations of players.
These are the technologies that will bring the gaming revolution:
VR (VIRTUAL REALITY)
AR (Augmented Reality)
Mobile gaming
Cloud gaming
AI Technology in Gaming
Gaming in VR (Virtual Reality): VR gaming’s future has shown a lot of promise. In the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic and strict lockdown regulations in some nations, VR was adopted by the video game industry. Virtual reality allows players to completely engage in the game by wearing VR goggles, VR games are played in an empty room. VR headsets and games are produced and sold by numerous video game companies. Players too are showing great interest in VR gaming.
Gaming in AR(Augmented Reality): Augmented reality gaming (AR gaming) is the combination of the game’s visual and audio content with the player’s environment in real time. Unlike VR, AR games are played on devices such as smartphones and tablets and do not need an empty room to play games.
Mobile gaming: Mobile gaming has become popular and accessible to all users. Credit goes to the internet, the internet has made the world a smaller place. Everyone in the world can connect with a couple of clicks. New gaming apps available on mobile have brought a rise in the number of players on mobile, due to which multiplayer games have become more demanding. Secondly, paying methods used by players to buy in-game accessories have allowed Fintech companies to invest in the gaming industry. Also, realistic graphics, game performance, live stream, and live chat are other explanations. Role-Playing Games (RPG) games and shooting and strategic games are played more on mobiles.
Cloud gaming: In recent years, the concept of cloud gaming has become famous after the rise of cloud computing. Cloud gaming is a type of online gaming that operates video games on portable servers and streams directly on users’ devices playing games directly on the cloud. Cloud gaming differentiates from traditional users as traditional users play locally on gaming PC, consoles, or mobile devices.
AI Technology in Gaming: The best example of artificial intelligence in video games is AI characters in video games. The non-playable characters, commonly known as (NPC), are developed to interact with the main player and increase the experience of playing the game. AI used in mobile gaming can boom into the mobile gaming industry. Developers can create console-like experiences for smartphones thanks to AI.
The future of video games
To sum up, the gaming industry is booming, and the video game market is showing a positive response. There are a lot of new technologies and innovative concepts and ideas implemented to give a great, immersive experience to players playing the game. Two technologies that have a lot of potential and marked their position in the video game market are VR (Virtual Reality) and mobile gaming. Video game companies have developed many sports games like volleyball, archery, fencing, and Role-Playing Games (RPG) games by using virtual reality technology. Secondly, the accessibility of mobile phones and the internet has changed gaming, and players can play high-realistic, console-like games on mobile phones at affordable prices.

'Even though "Oppenheimer" has not had a single weekend atop the box office, Christopher Nolan's latest is continuing to mount an impressive run in theaters up to this point. So much so that it is actually threatening to become the acclaimed filmmaker's highest-grossing movie to date that doesn't have Batman in it. As hard as that may be to believe, it is probably going to become a reality before the month is through.
"Oppenheimer" added another $18.8 million to its ever-growing total domestically in its fourth weekend, per The Numbers. Coupled with another impressive showing from overseas moviegoers — with a lot of help from expensive, premium format ticket sales such as IMAX — the film has officially amassed $649 million worldwide. That includes $264.2 million from domestic audiences and $384.75 million internationally. That is just enough to put it past Nolan's 2014 sci-fi blockbuster "Interstellar" ($647.8 million worldwide).
The only other Nolan movie that has made more outside of a major franchise is "Inception," which pulled in a truly impressive $728.5 million back in 2010. Barring an absolute collapse in the coming weeks, "Oppenheimer" should pass Nolan's mind-bending heist thriller to become the filmmaker's biggest movie other than "The Dark Knight" ($1 billion) and "The Dark Knight Rises" ($1.08 billion). The odds of this movie joining the $1 billion club are slim to none, but that was never really in play. Against a $100 million budget, "Oppenheimer" has already been a bigger success than anyone at Universal Pictures could have hoped for. The time to pop the champagne is now.
The power of Nolan (even without Batman)
I've said it before, but it is worth repeating: The fact that an R-rated, three-hour biopic with very little action has made more money than seemingly far safer commercial bets like "Dunkirk," "Interstellar," and "Inception" is nothing shy of staggering. There are virtually no other filmmakers working at this scale today capable of delivering global audiences this large time and time again. The fact that Nolan has done it repeatedly with almost no misses since leaving the "Batman" franchise behind is truly impressive.
The only real blemish is "Tenet," which was released at the height of the pandemic and, as a result, topped out at $360.2 million worldwide. In hindsight, even that seems impressive given what the theatrical landscape has looked like in the aftermath of the pandemic. Cillian Murphy, who stars as J. Robert Oppenheimer in the film, certainly appears to be Nolan's good luck charm, as he's appeared in nearly all of the filmmaker's biggest hits (save for "Interstellar").
No matter how you want to slice it, it's crystal clear that Nolan has built up a rapport with audiences that can cut through the noise in a meaningful way. As it stands, "Oppenheimer" is probably going to finish its theatrical run closer to $800 million worldwide than $700 million. It is already one of the biggest R-rated movies ever, and may end up second only to "Joker" ($1 billion) when all's said and done. Coupled with the assured awards season love that is coming, this is a victory lap for one of our most respected living filmmakers.'

WHAT IS METAVERSE?
Introduction:
This is a guide to understanding the concept of metaverse by Jaymin Kim. The term METAVERSE has been around for a long time (up to 30 years now) and despite that, just like any other buzzword, its meaning has not gotten any clearer and it is still a mystery to most laymen and even some experts.
The first thing to know about the metaverse is that the word was coined by Neal Stephenson in 1992. The word was primally mentioned in his science fiction novel 'Snow Crash'. He imagined a 21st-century dystopian future as a medium for people to escape from their reality just as displayed in 'The Matrix', though with a dye of unwillingness.
Meaning:
I think the meaning of metaverse cannot necessarily be bound by the confines of a definition as it is not yet credibly incorporated and implemented in our world today. It can, however, be conceptualized as an evolutionary development to our today's internet that involves a 3D virtual reality and augmented reality in which users can enter a virtual world to work, shop, play, communicate and socialize with the feeling of being present, though virtually.
Metaverse involves the use of virtual and augmented reality headsets and it emphasizes 'presence'. Presence is the major and most important definitive attribute of the metaverse as technological advancement is proposed to make people feel present in virtual reality, mixed reality, and augmented reality by choosing their avatar that can be personally customized.
  Incorporation:
The popularity of the term 'metaverse' has radically heightened since big technological enterprises and business organizations started showing a high amount of interest in the concept and envision it as the new future of social connection and business. Facebook hinted interest in the metaverse in 2014 when 'Oculus' was bought. Interests in the metaverse spiked when Mark Zuckerberg declared that Facebook's commitment has been directed to the development of the metaverse in 2021, Facebook was renamed 'Meta Platforms'.
The metaverse technology has already been incorporated into video games and is now widely used. The game that is the closest to the metaverse ideal is 'Second Life' which, just as the name suggests, displays a virtual world that is populated with live people that choose a representative avatar to live in a persistent three-dimensional world, as defined by its creator Philip Rosedale in an interview in 2022. Second Life is often regarded as the first metaverse. Roblox is another acclaimed metaverse software that has gained significant usage in the marketing world today.
Metaverse involves the use of virtual reality headsets with a price range of $300-$3000 as of 2022
Criticisms:
Despite the proposed wide range of use of the metaverse, there are some criticisms of the concept. The most prominent issue with metaverse is privacy this is because most users would have to give personal information collected by related companies thereby violating the privacy of the users.
It is also thought that addiction and problematic social media use which are already displayed aftermath of the internet today would be displayed in more chronic ways with the incorporation of the metaverse. People will probably get addicted to it and will see it as a medium to escape reality and that will lead to depression and other mental health problems.

WITHIN TEMPTATION Announces 'The Aftermath' Immersive Event, 'Shed My Skin' Single
Dutch powerhouse WITHIN TEMPTATION has announced a spectacular immersive event, "The Aftermath - A Show In A Virtual Reality", which will combine music with bleeding-edge technology to create an out of this world event like no other.
Frontwoman Sharon Den Adel comments: "During the whole pandemic, we weren't keen on doing a livestream. The magic of seeing and hearing a band perform live — combined with the energy of the crowd — is something you cannot simply recreate with a livestream. So, for a long time we were clueless. One thing we knew for sure: we would not compromise on a livestream if we could offer something out of the ordinary, something jaw-dropping, intriguing, spectacular and mythical! Then we found it: a world that we could shape into our wildest fantasies and in which we, as a band, could perform while still maintaining the dynamics and magic of our traditional live show.
"We are absolutely thrilled to invite you to 'Within Temptation: The Aftermath - A Show In A Virtual Reality'. A show that takes place in different scenes of a post-apocalyptic world, in which we are witness of the aftermath of destruction of mankind. A world in which it is unknown if anyone or anything of the human race survived. It is a search for answers — about both its becoming as well as its legacy."
"The Aftermath" is a show fueled by bleeding-edge technology that enables the band to do a performance that's out of this world — literally! In this one-hour show, WITHIN TEMPTATION will play a variety of newer and older songs in four different worlds, that interact with both the band and the music. Expect guest singers from all over the world to join the band on stage for striking duets in even more striking settings.
With this show, WITHIN TEMPTATION builds a bridge between the now and the next time the band will be able to play again.
"We are absolutely gutted that the 'Worlds Collide' tour has been pushed back again and we cannot perform live in the same venue as our fans," the band says. "With this digital show, we hope that the fans can still feel our energy, our love for — and above all: our passion for music. Take care and we hope to see you on July 8 or July 9."
"The Aftermath - A Show In A Virtual Reality":
July 8, 2021, Europe (8 p.m. CEST / 7 p.m. BST). July 9, 2021, Northern and Southern America (8 p.m. ET (UTC-4) / 5 p.m. PT (UTC -7) / 9 p.m. BRT (UTC3) / 7 p.m. CST (UTC -5).
Tickets are available for €24,99 (1 person) or €29,99 (2 or more people watching in the same room) at within-temptation.com
Along with the immersive event, WITHIN TEMPTATION has announced the release of a brand-new single, "Shed My Skin", which will be out two weeks before the show. For this song, WITHIN TEMPTATION teamed up with German metalcore band ANNISOKAY. This collaboration has resulted in a bombastic, heartfelt metal anthem.
"Shed My Skin" is the third single of the series of WITHIN TEMPTATION's independent releases and will be out via all streaming services on June 25, 2021. The official music video of this song will premiere during "The Aftermath - A Show In A Virtual Reality" on July 8 and July 9, 2021.

FROM THE PIT TO THE STREAM: WITHIN TEMPTATION: THE AFTERMATH – A SHOW IN A VIRTUAL REALITY – JULY 16, 2021
The Dutch metal band Within Temptation was looking forward to their Worlds Collide tour with Evanescence scheduled for 2020. But with the COVID-19 pandemic, those plans were pushed to 2022. With the band stuck at home, they started working on new songs, but still missed performing in front of their fans. They, like many others, decided to perform a livestream event titled The Aftermatch – A…
