“—so sorry! I swear I didn’t mean to kill him! It was an accident! He just jumped me out of nowhere and I have had bad experiences with clowns in the past so when I saw it was a clown trying to kidnap me I kinda just panicked and punched him! I swear, dude, I didn’t mean to hit him so hard—“

Jason, much too calmly, likely in some form of shock, rises from the crouched-down position he had been in to check the clown corpse’s pulse.

He had seen the poor, still rambling, twink getting grabbed from a distance and was about to step in as Red Hood, not even having been aware it was the Joker who —shouldn’t he have been in Arkham? There has been no announcement of him breaking out yet— had grabbed the guy until he had run close enough to the scene.

Which was after the guy had already been startled so badly by the Joker trying to kidnap him that he sucker punched the Joker into the wall of the alley so hard the clown died.

Said twink then realized what he had done and that he had a witness, that witness being Red Hood himself, and had started his frenzied speech on how it was an accident and to please don’t take him to jail he’s only just started his scholarship at Gotham U. and he can’t have murder on his track record yet.

Breathless, Jason looks at the nervous twink in front of him, who's still trying to plead his case, and who just obliterated the Joker with a punch.

Before his brain can catch up to his mouth, he’s already cutting the distressed monologuing off.

“Can I kiss you?” He blurts out.

Danny, taken off guard, breaks out of his panicked—oh, Ancients, I just killed someone— stupor and lets out a startled laugh.

“Take me out to dinner first” came the automatic joking reply, Danny still largely in shock of what he did.

Jason, either not picking up on the joking tone or ignoring it, nods seriously, already trying to come up with the best place for a dinner date with the cute twink to thank him for his service to the city.

Danny, who has calmed down slightly by now, glances between the red-helmed vigilante and the clown corpse. His gaze lands on Red Hood and he hesitantly speaks up again.

“So, uh, what happens now? Do I need to go to the station to make a statement orrrr?” He pauses awkwardly.

Jason, who’s still trying to figure out whether the Bat Burger would be a good place for a first date or not, doesn’t reply.

“I’ve got school in the morning and I only have like,” he pauses to check his phone for the time, “3 more hours before I have to be up for my first lesson. Soooo, I’m just gonna go. That cool?”

Again, he waits for a reply. But it doesn’t come.

“Right. Cool cool. Uh, see you later? Mr. Red Hood dude sir?” Danny gives a clumsy and awkward salute before turning tail and speed-walking away.

It’s not until 30 minutes later, once Jason has finally decided on the perfect place to take the guy to dinner to, that he realizes the twink is gone.

Fuck, he forgot to ask for the guy’s name.

One of the "Manhwa" versions I see of Zhongli is a butler that gets on your nerves but he does the job right so you can't really complain.

He prob still looks the same, but he also wears the iconic monocle glasses— white gloves, pristine suit, and alluring gaze that the MC can be immune to, but would still find themselves blushing sometimes.

if he were a love interest, prepare for the eerie knowledge he has. he loves MC too much for them to die. TimeTravel Manhwas will make him omniscient. period. Zhongli will do anything to protect his love one. he doesn't want them to be frightened though, so he won't tell-tale his knowledge in the second timeline until MC calms down.

scenario:

Also so so so so tired. I almost fell asleep in the middle of the floor like 3 times today lol #Trying to finish some costume photos and also another poll adventure thing. plus I do really want to do a sculpture sometime #I haven't finished one in a while. Hopefully my tiredness is nothing bad.#Maybe I'm anemic again so that's making me tired. Or maybe it's just a Listless phase. not that I'm ever really THAT productive considering #all of the health problems and etc. always holding me back. but still. I'm not usually 'sleep or just stare at a wall literally all day' ty #e unproductive.. at least not for multiple days in a row so. hmm... Sometimes especially in the summer though I will have periods of time #that are listless like that. I am under low level phyiscal stress for months at a time due to summer heat so I guess it makes sense #that would eventually take a toll. I just have SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO DO!!!!! AAUUGhhh #I also came up with a new idea for a game that is so so cool and I wish I could make it but I have to finish the other one first lol #which I will NEVER do. if I spend all day just sleepy unfocused barely able to do anything #I also really need to sell some clothes and sculptures because I'll probably have to buy a new computer soon so I need money. (plus still #recovering the costs of having to euthanize my other cat.. wehh) There's nothing clearly wrong with it right now but it's getting gradually #slower and there's more weird glitches happening randomly and idk.. just weird things that make me think 'hmm... bad.. possibly.'#ANYWAY... I just have so much to do that I both REALLY want or need to do - so it's perpetually frustrating that I just can't for whatever #reason like. Time is always mving forward. every day I waste is a wasted day. The year is already almost half over. I havent finished #any of the projects I wanted to .. and there's only more and more things to do each day. It's overwhelming and stinky #and thats not even considering having to do all of my tasks also with the background noise of economic inequality. everything increasingly #going into an even scarier political direction. active climate change crisis. pandemic that still exists and is insane to act otherwise. et #etc. HOW am I supposed to solo make two whole games . write 3 book series. finish sculptures. do costumes. make outfits. game videos. make #stable network of social connections. do my little side crafts. take care of myself and cats. pay rent. manage health issues. keep a routin #.try to make some sort of money. go to doctors appointments. handle regular maintenance like cleaning and cooking and self care #and buying new plates when old ones break or etc. make sure to do other things like backup my computer data regularly. do shopping lists.#take care of plants. pursue like 6 different academic interests. do the other side side projects I have for fun (like music or carving avoc #ado pits). eat in a healthy way thats okay for my Special Health Issue diet. exercise so i don't die early. etc. etc. etc. AND all while it #82F in my apartment all the time and I have tiny income and also need to move to another country/climate somehow??? lol......#ANYWAY.. ..very frustrated today over my chronic Tired Sleepy.. time for Cat Photos - which cure all of life's ailments lol

#some of these are alot older than others. for example i made pekomon in middleschool. meanwhile i made kweemon and the unamed stress ball #like 2 years ago.#my art #artists on tumblr #digimon #aloemon and tikemon are my digimon partners but the others (apart from stress ball) just hang out.#i have alot of notes and ideas for a series around my digimon sona...#I also like the idea of putting me/my sona into the story of a soul journey.#they were sucked into the digiworld alone in a time of non termoil and now they have to survive and make friends along the way!#has all of the charm of the original digimon anime where its all alice in wonderland/ random stuff from our world out of context in the #digital world. and the only real conflict is man vs environment. they dont start with their digital partners and actsholly meet pekomon #first. pekomon just sort of follows dare around and shows up randomly. theres plenty of time for digital dare to travel with the bois so i #didnt want them to be handed to them right off the bat. humans have been to the digital world before and some of the digimon digital dare #mets remeber seeing humans.#story of learning that growing up dosent necessarily have to involve growing up. you can keep injoying the things you injoy as an adult tha #you did as a kid. its also mainly about found family and recovering from the shity times that came before.#in the end digital dare whoudlent want to leave the digital world but need to anyways... in the end credits it whould show digital dare #getting a messege on their computer from their digimon friends.#its implyed they get to keep in touch even when they are oh so far apart.#99% of digital dare's messeges to pekomon are just them sending pekomon cool pictures that they took.

I was thinking, if Link, Zelda, and Ganon are all just continuous reincarnations of each other, shouldn’t there then be the possibility that they reincarnate at different points? As in like, Zelda could be the first born in the trio or something, or Ganon’s the last to be born, that’s what I mean

Hmm, actually, going off that idea, what if there was an incarnation of the trio where Link was born much earlier than the others, and Ganon was born last, so you have a child Ganon up against an adult Link?

Oh, and maybe, because legends always state that Link defeats the evil that is Ganon, this Link has been waiting for years for his version of Ganon to show up so that he’ll be able to defend Hyrule from his evil schemes, but then this Ganon shows up who’s only a child/teenager and hasn’t really done anything evil, but this Link has been so obsessed with trying to stop Ganon that he tries to destroy this child, so Ganon (and possibly Zelda, assuming she sees past the legend and sees that this Ganon means no harm) is our protagonist, trying to stop this mad version of the hero from killing him for something he didn’t even do, and Link is our villain

"Despite not knowing how clouds feel, as you all are clearly unable to get up there and touch them, someone recreated them so well in this delicious treat." A little more sticky and palpable than clouds were, but it did come surprisingly close, in Starlight's opinion. After a few moments, she stopped mid-biting-off a piece, and tilted her head slightly. OH I really need your opinion about Louis being so emotionally intelligent, I think it's barely even talked about it here

ARE people not talking about it? What a funny thought! As a post-hiatus fan, I'm accustomed to thinking of myself as something of a newcomer, even though it's been years now, so it's weird to realize I've been here long enough to see patterns and trends come and go and come again. It's even weirder the way trends in fandom can be completely forgotten and erased when the boys, in contrast, eternally exist in all times at once, everything they've ever said considered to be equally valid to their current lives whether they said it 12 years ago as teens or just yesterday as whole ass adult men! Anyway my point is, there was certainly a time when Louis' emotional intelligence was discussed a lot, AS IT SHOULD BE. For sure so much when Walls came out it was... those LYRICS!! Yes, without that gift he's still gorgeous and smart and embodies a unique and bewitching gender presentation and has a beautiful and captivating singing voice… I guess there are a lot of other reasons people might like him. But to me the thought of that not being the top of anyone's "why Louis" list is bananas, it feels so absolutely central and necessary to understanding what makes him special!

It's certainly a lot of what makes his songs resonate with people- he's a skillful lyricist, he could craft clever little twists of phrase and metaphors regardless, but it's his emotional intelligence that sets him apart imo. He describes it as honesty, and yes- the willingness to be vulnerable and reveal your feelings is special, but what I don't know if he even really realizes is that for so many people it's not just an unwillingness to open up honestly like he does, it's that they are genuinely unable to identify and understand and name what's happening inside them like that. I think it comes so naturally to him that maybe it can be hard for him to recognize that that experience isn't universal.

I really appreciate that you used the words emotional intelligence specifically, I love that phrase; I think framing it as a form of intelligence is correct and important. It's a skill set that is dismissed as "feminine" and so less important or easier to access than intellectual intelligence, but it's none of those things. And it's a minority of people who, like Louis, are both intellectually and emotionally very very sharp. I'd say it's a reason he was been able to stay such a good person in the face of things that can easily ruin people (being rich and famous from a young age, trauma and loss), and it's certainly what enables him to be so good at his job. It elevates his songwriting above the ordinary, but also it gives him the tools to do the dance of giving the public something to connect with and making it feel like he's completely open and present without actually giving away too much, which would be absolutely impossible without emotional intelligence- if you don't know your own boundaries or can't intuit on the fly what people respond to, it simply falls flat and seems forced. We've been seeing him exercise those skills close up and in person over the last few days in the signings, making everyone feel special and held and like they got a personal special moment without actually telling anyone anything much or going overtime or getting sucked in to any weird interactions! Again, something that would be nearly impossible without those kind of people skills.

It's actually really funny the way the discourse recently (speaking of changing tides in fandom) has been focused on the idea of Louis presenting himself as masculine (is there a relationship between that and the lack of chat about his EI? hm), when I feel like in the past he was the most feminized by fandom, and not because of his mannerisms or look, but because of his willingness to embrace his emotional intelligence- to cry/ talk about crying openly, to share readily about his feelings and be vulnerable, all these things coded as feminine. He himself has said that he doesn't think he's anything special in this regard (or especially feminine, I think is part of the subtext to that) because Northern Brit men are just like that. I'm from the US so I'm not the one to really respond to that, but it seems to me that does contain some truth- I have seen a willingness to cry openly, to talk about vulnerabilities, etc, in other men with public personas from up there- but I think that again, what we're saying is that's he's showing more than just that, that we're talking about his emotional intelligence quotient being unusually high, which is not a regional characteristic, but a personal one.

#I like how this ask sounds like its responding to something I said #but it absolutely is not (...is it??) I love the idea that you just randomly were like EXCUSE ME THIS IS WHAT I NEED TO KNOW RIGHT NOW #no reason it JUST IS #This is really gushy but I don't think Louis is perfect- he does some things that suggest emotional immaturity #which is unsurprising given his situation (royalty who hasn't HAD to grow up)#(honestly since long before he was famous so he was very ready to embrace that role for life when the time came)#but the point is not that he's the perfectly evolved emotional paragon: it's that he's highly emotionally intelligent #which means he has tools that not everyone does and I love what he does with that and how he expresses himself #I'm not actually criticizing when I say he's somewhat immature- I'm envious #We should all be sheltered and allowed to remain immature in some ways honestly #I don't want him to have that taken away I just wish that privilege for more of us #blah blah blah
