So uh, a bit of a dark headcannon for Morro and his death, but you know how his bones were found by the ninja in the Caves of Despair? This would mean that Morro didn’t die from lava, cause his clothes and hair would’ve burnt off (his bones would’ve remained, cause they apparently can’t burn).

So…does that mean Morro, a teenager whose oldest assumed age is only twenty, was stuck in a cave all by himself as he slowly starved to death? From my small google search, it can take a while (a month, or 8-12 week for it to be fatal) to actually starve to death.

So, this may or may not explain why he was a tad bit insane as a ghost.

Lets make it worse and assume that he most likely started screaming for Wu when he was in pain from hunger. But no one could hear him cause he was so far into the caves. This most likely would also be a good reason why he hated Wu so much during the possession season, and why when Wu was so desperate to save him, he finally got his sanity back.

Consider:

Ninjago movie au. The grey ninja disappeared roughly 7 years ago, the green ninja starting a year later. 2 years later, the green ninja got a team; red, blue, teal, black, and white. Last year, they defeated Garmadon. Now, a new threat plagues Ninjago city: a cult, "The departed ones." As this threat grows larger, the Ninja's Sensei pulls them aside to announce another part of his ever-annoying backstory: he has had an inside man collecting information on the cult, but has recently lost contact with them. Now, the ninja have to go on a rescue mission to save this unknown member of Wu's past.

With the 7 year anniversary of Lloyd's cousin's disappearance, can Lloyd actually handle a mission of this capacity? And why is it that all the members of this cult's eyes are a toxic neon green color?

I realized that the Emperor Ing and the Preeminent remind me of one another. They’re both rulers of a dark realm and a race of ethereal beings that can possess people and objects, distorting them to match their aesthetics. I guess this makes Nya/Pixal the same as Samus (especially with the use of technology and bulky armor that hides her face and true gender), and Morro is Dark Samus?

Or we could instead compare the Preeminent to Metroid Prime’s true form, and give her a humanoid body when she possesses a Samurai X suit/mech. Metroid Prime’s armor and Stiix play the same protective mech role, the order the two phases are fought in are just reversed.

What if we took Kaiju Protocol’s idea of Pixal having her own solo adventures and gave her a Metroid plot. She could and would scan everything like in the Prime games.

its not as interesting or dynamic as the one i showed you earlier but okay let me explain this. so i have her holding her hands up to her eyes in the see no evil gesture right BUT you see how shes still looking through her fingers BECAUSE you also said she still sees everything. boom best of both worlds or whatever. i wanted to add the blindfold so i sorta have it covering her mouth alluding to the speak no evil gesture?? idk i just wanted the funky eye blindfold. i tried to make it look directly at you AND shes also looking directly at you cause she sees everything,, you see what i did there,, uuhuuhhh you see. i dont really have an explanation for the glowing eyes in the bg i just thought they would be cool and i did end up covering her dogs i aint learning how to draw bare dogs. i also tried to make it a sort of higher angle her robe and the hair behind her is spread out on the floor i hope that came through. one thing im unexplainably proud of is the chains LOOK AT THEM

AND THE FABRIC SHADING I THINK I CAME IN CLUTCH its a little messy cause i could not find a reference for the LIFE OF ME anyways more versions below of course

no shading and without the black hands and legs cause lowkey i forgot they were darker until the end

A quick Morro sketch as i try to complete the second part of the “Lloyd knows too much” comic (name work in progress), featuring multiple of my Morro headcanons.

Here lemme list them off:

The preeminent had a veiny like texture inside her body, its rlly gross.

Morro had rlly bright brown eyes when he was alive, oftentimes the people he knew referred to them as a bright orange rather them brown.

Edit: i forgot to add to that one o(TヘTo) Morro’s eyes turned green, similarly to all other cursed ghosts, when he had died. Now, when he cries his eyes turn a dull brown, reminding him of who he once was.

And finally, the preeminent enjoyed torturing the ghosts under her control, and had the ability to mimic/copy human sensations to them. Her favourite was Morro, who she had granted the ability to cry in her realm, and for an overly emotional teenager, he often faced a burning sensation strolling down his face.
