The defintion of hell is knowing a show is incredibly well-received in its first season, but if people don’t become machines churning out tweets, content, and rewatching 24/7, there’s no likelihood it’ll get a chance to tell its whole story. This shit is madness. Shows in different genres shouldn’t have to pit-battle for dominance. First seasons are MEANT to be baselines establishing worlds and characters, not complete storylines. The idea that this golden age of television has turned into “get it done in one or get out” is revolting.

Look I know the whole point of Belos is that he's a manipulative asshole who's too deep in with his delusional beliefs but. MAN i would have loved to see that, because there were a lot of routes you could go:

1- Belos warms up enough to The Collector to actually be friendly with eachother (either evilly or just friendly)

2- The found family trope but instead it's like a fucked up ver with this evil mf and his son whos like. not that evil but still morally grey

3- Belos could have turned out to be a more decent person so the previous two dynamics but healthier

i once had a phase on twitter when i was very heavily into the witcher netflix series all because of the wonderful presence of joey batey as jaskier which i HEAVILY shipped jaskier with pedro pascal's oberyn martell from game of thrones thanks to some of my old witcher mutuals on twitter which later named as the "sunshine ship" which a few others joined in the crackship with some silly headcanons here and there. i for myself did some several fanart of them.

this later engulfed and infested in my mind of how the chemistry wouldve been if joey and pedro are casted together in a show/movie lmao. (which is also why my mando oc is facecasted(?) as joey)

#my dog was put to rest today. it was tough. but i got most of my sadness out of the way yesterday. #after that #a random ass dog came into our yard and starting being aggressive and growling and barking #and we have an outdoor cat and chickens #he was being nice for a bit but got mad again and i got so mad at him after he bit at my rooster. #he turned out to be okay but i am so pissed #animal control was called. we stood outside for a solid hour waiting on them. we saw them drive past our house #they did not stop to help us #this dog is harrassing everyone in the neighborhood and we are all so tired #we took our cat in the house. the chickens are in the coop now. #so theyre safe #but somebody has to come get this stupid dog #god i hate the government. emergency services are total ass and balls. nobody ever fucking shows up when you need them #weve had problems with animal control refusing to come out and help us when a big dog was harrassing our dog #and when they finally did show up after we begged them they were being assholes and acting like the stray was our pet we just wanted rid of #and this time they just dont show up at all #after calling us to tell us they were on their way. been hours now #i am so exhausted #and now i have to take a test for a class i really want to pass but i always do horrible on the tests. and i am just so so exhausted #feel awful right now. #aguuughghhh #delete later #.txt

it's really ironic to see people say "fandom isn't activism and watching tv shows doesn't make you an ally" (which is true!) only to in the same breath act like someone watching a "problematic" show is doing immense harm to marginalised people. the point is that fandom discourse cannot and should not be a replacement for meaningful engagement in real-life politics/activism, not to endlessly debate whether or not consuming a particular piece of media makes you a good person

#every day i suffer over that goddamn pirate poll. #not saying that real-life politics cant inform fiction (because they absolutely do) or that you cant criticise pieces of media #for the way they represent marginalised groups #but way too many people on here think that suicide baiting strangers because they like to watch a sitcom is a form of direct action #and still somehow believe that *they're* not the ones mistaking fandom wank for actual activism #i am begging you to understand that it doesnt matter all that much in the grand scheme of things #our rights are being taken away while you are busy discoursing over steven universe #(i also think some people would benefit from doing some research into historical pirates. they have been heavily romanticised in most media #portraying them and were generally not what we would consider good people. if you want to reckon with the way historical fiction glorifies #people who committed atrocities then you can't just limit that to one show and treat it as an isolated case rather than a pervading theme)
