I just love that...*when you're hanging out with your best friend whom you've known since you were kids and it's your day to spend with them but then a new friend that your bestie just met wants to hang out too, so they come over, and then you are feeling like, without ever saying it, "hey, I was here first hanging out and getting all the attention, and now you're here making this all about you, and I'm not getting all the attention anymore and feeling like it's all about me and I never wanted to share so why did you show up when we were doing so awesome without you and now I have to share the attention of my bestie with you and I don't like it one bit and I want you to know I was here first and you should leave." vibe* going on since twitter peeps scooted on over to funblr.

DISNEY RASH....ewwwwwwww

Let's talk about it, because it is REAL.

What is it exactly?

- The Disney rash is a kind of blood vessel inflammation called Vasculitus that affects the lower parts of the legs after you perform strenuous exercise or activity for a long time, especially in warm weather.

- It has been termed the Disney RASH because so many people get it, it is way more common than you think.

What does it look like?

It can look a little differently to everyone but some variation of above. Most commonly confused with sunburn or hives. Disney rash usually shows up on the skin of your lower legs that isn’t covered by clothing. So, if you’re wearing socks, for example, you will see signs of the rash starting from just above the sock line.

Look for these specific symptoms:

‌Red or purple-colored blotches or spots

‌Swelling (edema) in the affected areas

Itching, pain

Stinging or burning sensations

Disney rash is a harmless condition and will normally disappear on its own in about 3 to 10 days. The skin discoloration usually clears up in about 3 to 4 weeks’ time, but sometimes, colored spots can remain.

What do we do about it?

1. Stay out of the heat. It will help bring down your body temperature.

2. ‌Stop all forms of exercise or strenuous activities until the condition clears up. This will give your body the time it needs to heal.

3. Keep your feet elevated for as long as possible when you’re sitting or lying down. Rest your legs on an ottoman or a stack of pillows.

4. ‌Wear compression socks or stockings. There is a misconception that compression socks or stockings are meant for older people. They are an excellent practical tool that supports blood circulation and prevents swelling because of pooling and retention of blood in the legs. I know they can be ugly but here are some cute ones I found that you could easily incorporate into some cute Disney Bounding outfits.

5. You can soak in Epsom Salts and that helps.

6. You can apply hydrocortisone cream for discomfort.

7. Ibuprofen may help with inflammation and discomfort.

If you are very concerned most Disney resorts have medical staff present. You just need to call guest services and request a doctor being sent to your room. All the parks also have a first aid station on site for immediate medical needs.

This trip was really hard but overall worth the extra trials. Trying to overcome the memory loss and symptoms I had this trip was pretty difficult. I had a wonderful time, but I think it's time Disney understood some people use cannabis as medicine to prevent very painful situations for themselves, such as dislocation pain or seizures; even the mention of Medical Use is enough to get kicked out for being "under the influence"........Perhaps they will learn, as I have had to, that it is in some cases a very good thing for people to use. If I had more in my system, I would not have had a seizure in the park. Alas, it hasn't quite caught up the future of medicine. However, there were helpful things, the disability pass allows those with situations like ours to be treated with better ease at line; simply scan your park ticket or reserve a spot in line on the Disneyland App, and it will give you a return time to come back. This greatly helped reduce the sensory input my brain was being overloaded with, all in all, it worked out beautifully and I got to explore The Happies Place On Earth once again. Crazy Indian tourists - Part 1. A few summers ago, over another round of ales at a pub, somewhere in London, four very happy souls decided, just like that, to discover the Scandinavian countries. Nothing new here. It's at times like this that we generally come up with grand plans on world conquest. The only saving grace was that we all had Schengen and multiple entry UK visas in place. Of course, the downside to this kind of travel is there is plenty one misses - from connecting trains and buses to venues being closed and cities being on a holiday. Let's not forget paying exorbitant rates for hotels too. A few days and misadventures later, the four of us grumpy folks found ourselves in the happiest place on earth - Copenhagen. By this time, we'd also had enough of continental food, and were all hankering for some plain rice and dal, and papad too. So, to satisfy our craving for desi food, we set out looking for an Indian restaurant in the city. Now, I'm not sure if it was hunger pangs, or just being mischievous, which she normally is, my friend decided that it would make for a fabulous snapshot if she sat in the middle of a traffic crossing.
